Very clean and friendly place. Excellent time and comfortable. The location is pretty prime with clubs and bars within like 50 feet. No noise issues though. Staff are incredible. No complaints and very easy to get to the sites from here. Would recommend.

An amazing hostel in the heart of Chinatown. Seattle is but a bus ride or a few minutes walk away. Easy access to Capitol hill and the UW via the Link. Cheap and clean, friendly staff and a great breakfast. The travellers dream! (One can dream easily here. )

Great place to stay! Super friendly staff, super comfortable and super clean rooms. Everything is just as the photos show. I stayed here only for a couple of days, but this was the best choice. If you are new to staying in hostels or you are not sure whether to pick a hotel room or hostel (as I was), I totally recommend you to stay here.

Great vibe! Great location! Great customer service. Wish there was an elevator or escalator to lug my luggage. Toilet in our room had an issue so it didnt flush frequently.

An amazing hostel and place to stay for a fun / laid-back solo stay in Washington, DC. This was my first time staying in a hostel, and it could be my last due to the honest fear that other hostels could not be as good as this one. During my stay, I saw the place as being very clean, quiet, and low-impact all around. My bed was extremely comfortable and it had an entire power strip, reading light, and locker next to it! Taking a shower and getting coffee were also super easy, and actually felt fun as the building space has an intricate system of stairs to walk up and down. A very simple, honest breakfast is served daily with an amazing staff and host of guests to chat with. I will miss staying here and hope to come back. If you are a young, healthy, social individual looking for a place to experience the best of Washington, DC whilst retaining a low impact during your travel, I would highly recommend booking a stay and bringing your best intentions for your stay! The surrounding area is also super cool, and people are intrigued when you tell them that you are staying "in Adams Morgan". Thank You HighRoad Hostel!

Checked in super late front desk was so friendly she helped me with directions and even offered to take my bags to the room! Which is Not typical for hostels. It's really clean fully stocked and super homey. The kind of place you feel comfortable being around complete strangers at. Would definitely stay here again.

I am staying there right now, I am checking out this morning! I don’t believe that staying for less than 24 hours is that fair to judge a place (unless they really sucks! ) ; however, I wish you find this review helpful. I shared a room of 4 beds, I was the first to arrive and gladly no more other 2 males. They were quite and we didn’t get the chance to know each other. PROS: lovely staff, easy access location, obviously newly renovated, cozy beds, satisfying breakfast, medium speed Wi-Fi, laundry and ironing kits are available (I didn’t use them), clean towels, portable humidifier ac available inside the room I’ve shared, complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste, small soap & shampoo offered. The place is safe, after midnight no one can open the main door unless they have an access card, the room and the corridor leading to it both couldn’t be accessed without an access card. CONS: if your room is on the street then the street noise will be inside your room literally!, they need to take the AC out of the bathroom (extremely cold), check-in hour is late (16:00), check-out hour is too early 11:00. I might come back but with a company of other 3 friends of mine so we can enjoy a 4-beds room.

The best hostel that I have stayed so far. Staff is very friendly, helpful and energetic. There are free amenities in the reception which can increase your comfort level. And, there are different events every night; you can chat with other people and socialize. I will definetely come back here again!

I spent 5 nights and I have zero complaints! Accommodations and staff were wonderful. The area was near everywhere I needed and wanted to go. Public transportation information was easily accessible. Thanks! I’ll be back.

Fabulous accommodations. Clean. Great neighborhood. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Note that Adams Morgan has busy nightlife, so if you're sensitive to noise for sleeping before midnight, it might pose a problem. Was fine for me.

An old Victorian style house converted into a hostel. The rooms are very neat and clean. Friendly staff. Great location. Have some good restaurants and bars around. The place is always bustling with people. 20 minute bus ride to The National Mall.

Better than the hotels I've been in. I'd recommend anyone to stay there. It's affordable. The service is great! And the people working there are lovely!

I've stayed in 25-30 hostels, and this was Great amenities, great location, great vibe, great staff, great price. It's more like a 4 star hotel for $25 a night. Such an awesome vibe which is really hit and miss with hostels but makes a big difference. Met some great people here from all over the world. I can't wait to visit again.

Came here for my friends interview and stayed one night. It was nice and comfy and they were very accommodating. My friend and I stayed in the 2 girls room and every one was to themselves and respectful. We also liked the idea of 24hr coffee.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. The rooms are pretty are very nice and the beds are super comfortable. But the coolest part of the hostel are the common areas, there's three large areas and you always find people hanging out there. The location is also really good, quite a few nice bars and restaurants are located within a block.

Excellent option if you don't want to spend a lot on a hotel. Amenities include complimentary toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste), free lock for your locker, earplugs and towels. I was impressed with the cleanliness of my room and the shared bathroom. The common areas are cozy with ample seating and the kitchen is modern and spacious. The location is a bit far afield for those interested in the main tourist attractions but there are several convenient bus stops just steps away to get you where you need to go or you can walk to the Metro. I stayed over the weekend and found the neighborhood to be quite active but the vibe inside the hostel was always calm and quiet.

The convenience of having a late night check-in can't be stressed enough. The attendant was warm and welcoming despite my last minute, late arrival. A nice location near great restauraunts and bars, too. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms spacious. A great kitchen area for cooking your own meals and having conversations with other travellers. Also, other clientele, seemed friendly and approachable. Only wished there were restrooms located on the sub-level. Otherwise, restrooms were private, and roomy enough to bring personal belongings in to prepare for the day.

Loved it! It's very clean and friendly. They offer free coffee, tea and breakfast. I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend to anyone. The location is fabulous! The staff is super friendly!

The best hostel I've ever been to. The 4 bed dorms are the best. They have orthopedic mattresses. The kitchen is amazing… and they make fresh baked sweets every day and at other evenings they have things such as "Pasta Night" and so forth.

Andy the general manager and his staff are just fantastic. They cover all the bases, from check in to check out, they are friendly and professional. The house keeping is excellent. When this place was rehabbed to make into a hostel, it was very well planned and built by skilled people with quality. Of course these are economy accommodations, but very comfortable and in a great location. I have stayed in a number of hostel in a few different countries, but this is my favorite. I got the impression in my four nights of staying there that they set a high standard for themselves and work hard to meet it. I would definitely stay again in the future.

Very very nice hostel. One of the best I've stayed in! The bedding is nice and heavy. There are plenty of single person bathrooms with showers. Very clean, all the way through. It could use some work on gathering areas, but other than that top notch. Excellent location.

Friendly and helpful staff. The female dorm room is very clean, spacious and the attached bathroom was very well taken care of. Located near bars and some good restaurants which is great. The parking garage is a bit pricey but as a visitor that's pretty much everywhere. Well worth a visit and I'll definitely stop in again on my next visit.

This Hostel is really good. I'm having a great experience on it. Everything is clean, they have a fantastic staff and it's located at great neighborhood.

I stayed teri nights here, checked on a Friday afternoon and checked out on a Sunday morning. I liked the place, ambience, cleanliness, and courtesy of the staff. The reception staffs are very polite and helpful. The area is nearly calm and quite. There is no regular free breakfast, but on Sundays they give pancakes and potato wedges in the morning. On Friday nights there's an ice cream social, that's free ice cream unlimited. The bed is soft, linens, bedsheets and blankets are in for condition. There are two vending machines, one for snacks and the other for drinks. Wifi is fast and free available every where. Rest rooms, bath rooms are clean with supply of got waters. They don't allow alcohol drinks after 11pm which is in the good interest for inmates. Non smoking rooms. I liked the stay and will recommend to all backpackers and solo or group travelers.

Really impressed. Absolutely nothing wrong about this place. Was cheap, and it's definitely worth it. The location is very quiet and nice, lots of food and drink places close by. The room was really clean, my bed actually had my name tag on it, to distinguish it. The staff are incredibly kind. Genuinely never seen nicer staff. Really clean place overall, really comfortable beds, lots of amenities and lots of small things that make the difference, lockpad and locker for your valuables, the possibility to leave your stuff in the lobby for the rest of the day even after you've checked out. Lots of different flyers about places to eat, transport information and others. Surely I've missed some of the other positive things about this place. Simply amazed. Totally recommend it.

HighRoad Hostel strives to be a great hostel and it shows! It has a fantastic, welcoming staff and offers up a very pleasant overall experience. Certainly not a party hostel and there are a set of house rules to abide by, as a result the atmosphere is very relaxed. I can vouch that the staff will bend over backwards to help accommodate your needs. And, if you are looking for a DC party-going experience, the best of Adams Morgan's nightlife is just a few steps away from the front door. Seriously. The location in this very hip neighborhood could not be more perfect to a visitor. For me personally, HighRoad gives the Soul Kitchen hostel in St. Petersburg Russia (which also happens to be consistently rated the hostel on Earth. ) a good run for it's money, this is saying quite a lot since the parallels between the two are striking! Would absolutely stay here again on my next DC trip!

Awesome hostel. That was my first accommodation on the east of US and this place made my experience better. Friendly and helpful staff. Modern and clean rooms or bathrooms. Outstanding super fast Wi-Fi! Really nice saloon with TV, books, games (example below). I would recommend this hostel to everyone who is going to DC for couple days!

This by far has been a very good experience! The staffs are nice and very helpful. The place is clean, bathroom, rooms and etc. The guests have been pleasant as well. I initially thought it was a bit far from the Mall, but the bus basically stops a few feet from the Hostel, so I had no problem with transportation the entire time I was there. There are no shortage of restuarants and pubs by the hostel either. I definitely like this place and I will definitely return again. Good Job High Road!

Excellent place, location is very good, tools are clean and staff of very helpful. Just one thing to note, there isn't any lift.

Very nice hostel. Comfy beds, good showers, great Wi-Fi. Staff extremely helpful. Ambience a little lacking perhaps — could do with more scheduled activities for guests to socialise better.

I really liked the hospitality and the freshness of the rooms. The toilets and showers are also very clean. Beds are nice too.

My friend and I stayed here for a couple of days (in the female dorm room) and I had a very pleasant experience. This is a much cheaper option than booking a hotel room and perfect for those who just need a place to sleep. The facilities are very clean and the staff are friendly. When you walk in, you can easily check in at the front counter and there are sofas in the living room area as well as a large table for those that want to get work done. There is a large kitchen as well for those who would like to cook something. Would definitely come back again if I am staying in the DC area. My only qualm was the weak stream in the showerhead, but I suppose it's good for saving water.

Staff were excellent. First rate at helping me get to all I wanted to see in ways that were both efficient and cheap. And they all seemed like genuinely nice people. Loved the location of this hostel. Lots of eateries right in the neighborhood, all with their own personal style.

This was my first time staying at a hostel. I wanted to experience it while I'm still young. This place was so clean, comfy, and everyone there was so nice! I'm so glad I stayed here. At the same time I'm afraid that because it was so good maybe it ruined future hostel experiences I would possibly have in other cities. Anyway I 'll definitely stay again when I visit DC!

Loved it! One of the best hostels I stayed at during my time in America. Great area and within walking distance to the station. Facilities were fabulous! Definitely recommend.

1 bed in 8 mixed room. Comfortable bunk beds. All clean, quiet, access control and comfortable common areas.

Great hostel. Comfortable and clean beds, nice rooms with private locker. Free sleeping masks, earplugs and locks. Bathrooms were very clean at all times. Comfortable lounge and very nice and helpful staff. Location is good. Lots of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Downtown is also within walking distance (20 min)

The best hostal id had stay so far and the staff its amazing and helpful. The place its clean and the ambiance really relax. Will go back anytime soon I will recomend to all my friends travelling DC. Well done guys keep the good work in that place.
