Nice modern hotel. Great location.

Awful awful awful service. I checked in just fine but two days into my trip was locked out of my room (with all of my items inside) and was told it was because the third party I had booked through had only sent over a reservation for two nights not four and it was my problem to figure out even though I had prepaid for four nights. Staff provided NO HELP OR EMPATHY in resolving the issue and when I told them I had an email with a confirmation for four nights shrugged their shoulders and said “not my problem. ” Then, after they interrupted me several times and refused to listen to me, I was told I was being rude (having never used foul language AT ALL) and was told I would be escorted off the property — meanwhile my luggage was still locked in a room I had PAID FOR that I was not being given access to! As I burst into tears because of how crazy the situation was they “miraculously” found my reservation and handed me the keys, which is what they should have done from the VERY FIRST MOMENT. Absolute worst customer service experience ever and I will never be staying at a Hyatt again (and Hyatt, PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME in giving me a canned corporate response about earning my trust back. Your social media team clearly doesn’t care. Posting this review for others to read since you aren’t interesting in actually making this hotel’s service any better. )

The hotel is ridiculous! Tried charging me for a cancelled room. Then kicked us out of our room stating we didn’t have a room reserved when later they realized after kicking us out they screwed up the reservation. I would highly reconsider booking with this hotel!

I don’t usually take time to leave reviews but I felt this time it was necessary. I am pretty loyal to Hyatt and have stayed at many different locations on multiple countries. This particular stay was the worst one I’ve ever had. The room wasn’t very clean, hair everywhere, the floors were so sticky that our shoes stuck as we tried to walk. With COVID we were told our room would only be cleaned every 3 days. It was not cleaned the entire time we stayed (5 days). Almost every single employee we encountered at this location was beyond rude and disrespectful. The toiletries were awful and one was half full, it was very disappointing. I will not stay here again.

Very centric to all the attractions and main interests places. Blocks away from White House. Accessible to parking options and restaurants. Definitely it will be my hotel choice in DC from now on.

I stayed at your hotel on Sunday July 19, 2020 and checked out the following morning. After I checked in, the front desk told me to park in the garage. I pulled up to the garage and found the doors closed. Another car was waiting beside mine. It took almost 15 minutes to get the garage door attendant to let us in to park. Once inside, there were no signs directing my party into the main hotel. We had to walk until we discovered the attendant still at the front garage door. He informed us there were no elevators from the garage to our room. We had to walk three floors in the garage, out the garage doors, and then into the hotel. When we arrived later at the front desk, there was a policeman holding a woman in handcuffs. Alongside them was a German shepherd dog. I felt very unsafe so I went to my room and locked my door. Incredibly helpful staff. Amazing food selection at the hotel bar/restaurant. (Yummy paprika Parmesan French fries with not one, but two aiolis; crisp vinaigrette on kale and cranberry Cobb salad). Good location for attending Women’s March 2020.

We stayed two nights the room was nice but the bar/restaurant area was ridiculously slow and unorganzied and one of the workers had her two daughters running around, behind the bar and carrying on. The bartender was so slow and kept watching TV instead of taking care of his customers. Very disappointed.

From the moment my daughter andI arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff and were blown away by their attentiveness. I would strongly recommend this location.

I recently attended a week-long conference here for work. The staff were great, but I especially would like to point out the kitchen crew. The lunches that they fed us were absolutely delicious! They supplied enough for us each to have MORE THAN ENOUGH food! I was amazed, that chef definitely knows how to entertain a hungry crowd! And the ladies who worked in kitchen staff and brought our food out each day and set it up we’re so helpful and extremely sweet! I am local so I didn’t stay at the hotel, but others attending the conference did and they had nothing but great things to say. So, THANK YOU for making sure your guests were catered to! We appreciate you all!

Great hotel located walking distance to National Mall. Love the brand, room very clean, great staff service and breakfast. Definitely recommended.

We had a great experience at this hotel. It is in a great location and very family friendly. Our room was a great size and clean. The staff on the third floor were so kind to our children every day, asking them how their day was and what they had visited. We will definitely be back on our next trip.

We stayed at the Hyatt Place during our recent trip to Washington DC and absolutely loved it. The location was close to the mall so we could walk with our toddlers to the museums or easily get a cab from the valet. The check in staff was friendly and helpful. When I requested two cribs, we quickly got them delivered. The staff also provided us with items such as detergent and dryer sheets which allowed us to do laundry after some rainy days. Free laundry for a family with toddlers is a plus! Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and we ate several meals at the restaurant as we found the food to be top restaurant quality. On one of the last nights, I ordered my picky 3 year old a quesadilla. Unfortunately it had chicken so he would not touch it. After one phone call, the staff made him another one with just cheese at no cost. It’s great customer service like this that will bring us back.

I have been blown away by this hotel. Three workers, two women and one young man have been so helpful. This week was a very rough and heartbreaking week as my papaw passed away. We traveled from Tennessee to Maryland and missed one of my sons 4th birthday during this trip. On the way home from Maryland we stopped to take in the sights and enjoy, so my husband booked this hotel. Such a kind young man behind the desk gave our Sam a birthday cupcake. This made our whole night. Traveling with toddlers isn't easy (we have 4), but with two queens beds, a pull out couch, and a crib and high chair (Hyatt provided) this is a stay I will never forget. The hospitality and customer relations is why I will stay again and invite others to do so. Thank you kind staff for all you have done for my family. I hope management gives a pat on the back to the staff who worked tonight (1/20 evening shift).

When we come in to DC to see a caps game, this isn't our first choice of place to stay, because it's a bit further away from The Verizon Center than we normally stay, but our regular hotel was booked solid… so we tried it and we were pleasantly surprised… the staff were great, the room was very clean, and the breakfast was awesome … bottom line is we found another great place to stay when we come back again.

The roof top bar has no draft beer or any decent food. So what is the point?
