They charge a ridiculous $30+ nightly "destination" fee on top of the taxes and fees I had to pay through Travelocity. I tried this place out instead of the Hilton for my yearly conference and never again.

First day impression was great, and it got better one of our rooms had been cancelled, no problem reinstated by the very friendly young lady on reception. Our room and facilities are great roomy with a comfortable bed and good size bathroom,
Definitely one to consider when you come to DC nearly forgot a five minute walk to DuPont Circle metro station, as well as lots of eating places.

Was charged $171 when UPS came to pick up some packages, but hotel staff said there was none. If staying here ask for Eric or Zena — they will help you. GM and other staff will not.

This has been one of the best hotel experiences! The rooms are large and beautifully decorated! The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is in the heart of D. C. And close to city attractions. Special shout out to Eric, Robin and Zainab for being incredibly helpful and even walking our bags up to the room for us. You all are amazing and I will 100% stay here the next time I am in D. C.

If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIBully. Com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere! The Churchill was a great place for a night in Washing D. C. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and they dealt with check in and other activities quickly and with courtesy. The hotel itself would be considered boutique with a mix of classic and modern styles, but it all melds together easily creating a very comfortably presentation. The room was very clean and very pleasant, and the bed slept better than most hotels I've visited. The bathroom was also in fantastic shape. The hotel is located in a great area for shopping and food, and it's only about 15 minutes away from many great sites and activities. I can recommend this hotels for families, couples, and business travelers alike and encourage anyone to try it when in D. C.

The hotel is great. The décor of the hotel in itself how the room makes it very cozy. The room has a bathroom with a great shower and another section that can be used to leave suitcases, work, etc. Located in a very good area. Please note that dinner is not expensive at the hotel. There are places nearby for breakfast, lunch, dinner. The Italian Buca is nearby and eats very well although careful with the portions are huge.

A great hotel with a great location. Stuff is friendly. I'd stay if I come back to DC. However, the cleaning crew should do a better job. There was an issue in bath room when I check in. They cleaned, but the problem remained. Because my flight got canceled, I stayed in another room for one more night. The extent of the problem was much less, but I found the same issue in the bath room.

Room was good. The service was terrible. Arrived reserving a two bed room, was told they were all unavailable, but a pull-out couch would be brought up. A little later, staff had come up, but with pillow cases. I tried to elaborate, but the next time he returned with, in his words, "couch pillows. " Finally, I got a call later explaining there were no couches available to bring up. Staff had no sympathy and said to try again tomorrow… We were only there one night.

Loved this hotel! The rooms are beautiful and the staff are amazing. Doorman is so very friendly and helpful, employees at front desk and on the floor are super friendly and helpful too. Very close to the Metro so made it extremely easy to get around. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. From the lobby to the dining room to the lounge and bedrooms, I'm not disappointed. It's in an older building, but the way they were able to mix the modern design with the building works well. Clean bedrooms, nice bathrooms, very comfortable and lots of space! Hotel attendants are pleasant and nice, not to mention helpful. Will stay again next time!

We arrived at the hotel during a torrential rainstorm, our luggage and ourselves soaked. The elegant men at the desk didn't greet us, offer us a towel, nothing; they simply asked for our reservation. We asked about laundry service. Again, no help, although we later found out the hotel does offer this service. An attendant then offered a paper napkin so my husband could dry his hand to sign in. Pretty sad situation. There are other places in the area.

Great location and moderately priced. The hotel amenities were a bit less than I'd have expected of a luxury hotel but overall the experience was pretty good. Rooms were clean and nicely appointed. The A/C didn't seem to cool properly which was the only real issue. Luckily it was not very hot but would not have been great if it was.

Stayed here about a year ago and it was a wonderful experience. I'm a former Washingtonian and appreciate it the historical architecture, very pleasant guest staff, and a wonderful breakfast in the dining room. It feels like you're living in a bit of Washington DC history. Easy walking two shops restaurants and Metro. If you want a unique living experience that feels very local, this is the place. I can't wait to return, feels like home and DC.

I love the room. It is spacy and has the facilities I need. Sometimes when you stay in a hotel room with two people in it, seems really crowded but not here. You can have 5-6 other people and still have some space. It has a couch, tables and chairs as well to work with some work stuff. Just love this hotel. But maybe the lift is quite old.

Old fashion kind of place with no continental breakfast. Do not valet park unless you want to pay 50+ bucks. Elevator shakes when going down and sometimes up, but the bed and room were excellent. I'm just upset about the valet that wasn't included with the stay and that they weren't up front with the price. So if you are staying here, look around for parking. Besides that, the stay was pleasant.

Very nice hotel, very spacious rooms, very comfortable beds. It has very good showers. If you are going to need an extra bed it is necessary to notify it in advance, sending an MSG on the page you make the reservation because it said that you could and when we arrived at the hotel they had no available. There are several bars nearby. The problem we had was that we got to the room and there was smell of cigarette but after insisting a bit they moved us to room.

Stole my sister belongings, with no remorse or empathy! Reading the 1 star reviews, I am not surprised! Stay away or prepare to, possibly, be the next victim! It happened in the past, happened recently, and will definitely happen again in the future! You have been warned.

Great modern hotel. Spacious and comfortable. Many outlets for recharging. A separate corner for work, the bathroom is very thoughtful: first the room where the sink, then, where the shower and toilet. Toilet behind two doors-very convenient! The soundproofing is great!

Well preserved historical Hotel although the rooms have thin walls and those that are close to the elevator can hear the engine running.

Lovely hotel. They were in the middle of a construction project, but that didn't stop them from trying to give excellent service. The staff was wonderful, room huge and clean. A short taxi to the capital. Would highly recommend.

We stayed a long weekend at the Churchill. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms have been recently updated and are very nice and spacious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again.

The Churchill Hotel has a great location, with access to tons of fantastic restaurants and sights within walking distance. Our well appointed room was expansive, with a nice seating area, large bedroom and a well designed, but small bathroom. Every employee we encountered during our stay was overwhelmingly friendly. Only negatives could be attributed to personal preference. The pillows seemed to be feather pillows and had no support to them so it was hard to get comfortable in the bed. Speaking of the bed, we personally use a memory foam mattress, so it took some additional time to adjust to a more traditional spring mattress. As mentioned above, the bathroom was small with the shower, while being aesthetically pleasing, was tight enough to the point my arms touched the wall and glass while rested on my side. (though I am overweight so it might not be a problem for prospective stayers who maintain a more healthy diet and size). That all being said, I would certainly suggest it to friends as a place to stay of they were looking to stay in the Dupont Circle area.

It's a good value and location. Elevators are kinda slow I guess. I'm just doing this for money.

Good service and nice rooms. Some of the decor is strange, like art with girls and ducks. The renovation has finishes, but had to be fit into some oddly shaped rooms.

I enjoyed my stay at the Churchill Hotel. The location is within walking distance of a lot of great places in Adams Morgan. My room was a little on the small side but had everything I needed. Valet parking service was very easy and the hotel restaurant makes a nice breakfast.

Lovely historic hotel. Nice rooms, helpful staff. Just up the hill from the metro. There are a bunch of cool restaurants and bars nearby. Make sure to try the empanada and bibimbap places. The hotel also has an attached restaurant, but we didn't eat at it. Also not too expensive.

Great location and great service.

Booked the Deluxe King Suite online but was still able to upgrade to the Top Suite! The view was a treat leaving the curtains drawn all night. Wonderful room! Live local but planned the overnight after an Embassy event. Great service all the way around including Valet parking of my oversize truck! Will definitely stay again!

I like the location of this hotel. Right near all the food n drinks. The Room was nice and big. The suite was very affordable compared to the other hotels in DC I stayed at. They updated an older hotel, but I think the age adds character to the rooms. Will definitely try and stay here again in the future. The water in the hotel lobby is crazy good.

Great hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a renovated hotel, so some of the fixtures are a old/dated but overall I really liked it.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming at the hotel. Unfortunately the biggest problem is parking. Their valet parking lot was full, their overflow parking was full, and their valet recommended that we park on the street since it was free on the weekends. Not being from the area, we asked if it was safe, and he told us absolutely. In DC, doing a lot of walking, we did not use our car. When we returned the next morning upon checkout to our car, we discovered that our car was broken into and over $1000 worth of merchandise stolen. I contacted the hotel since it was recommended by their valet that we park on the street and they stated their is nothing they can do. Like I said, it was a nice hotel at a good price, but next time I would just pay a little more for a room elsewhere where they have available parking to ALL of their guests not just a select few.

Overall a very nice place to stay the night in DC. It is a quick cab ride to the Lincoln Memorial/National Mall area. They are helpful about explaining the buses too. If you want quick shopping or some bar nightlife, it is about a 10 min walk. And yes, if you're into Starbucks, they are everywhere!

Historic but not stuffy, far better than the big box Bahaus monstrosity on the other side of the street. A small upgrade price is definitely worth the space and amenities. Excellent service from the staff. Many great food, drink and entertainment venues within walking distance.

Not my favorite hotel. You have to pay for valet which is $45 a night. You can't park yourself. Which is pretty standard in Washington. There isn't a bathtub. But the rooms are clean. It's about 2 miles away from the White House and all of that. Very close to the metro.

This place is super wacky but totally cool. The rooms are very nice and well appointed. The building must be 100 years old but it is very cool. I ding them a star for a marginal food and $45 parking fee. But overall I'll go back!

The room is very good The staff was very good Location not very close to the Mall but well accessible by public transport and Uber in a few minutes.

The sweets are very clean and the restaurant offers a nice menu and quite tasty dishes. On the other hand, not enough room in the parking lot.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and everything was great. However at midnight I came down and asked where the vending machines are (since each floor had an alcove marked "ICE AND VENDING" where it's just empty — just vacant outlets and water lines) and the desk person directed me to a store 2 blocks away. Overall it was a great stay but I was disappointed about the vending machine thing even though it's really minor.

A relatively inexpensive hotel in an expensive city. A cheap parking garage is about a 10 minute walk away.

Staff is friendly and professional. Very accomodating. Rooms are clean and the hotel has a great old-school DC feel.

Fantastic place to stay. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful with tips on the city. They were interested in your day and made sure everything was OK the whole stay. We booked through trip adviser and read some really bad reviews but took the challenge on and very glad we did.

A great place to stay when in town on that end. Never had any trouble. Been staying there at least once a year for the past decade.

It was fine, Wi-Fi was a bit slow and could hear a man sleeping in the another room but the service was good and rooms were comfortable.

We loved this place. The room was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and helpful. Anything we needed help with they were very attentive. They pointed out restaurants and the Big bus tour. We did both. Great recommendations. We will definitely come back here again.
