Enjoyed my stay everyone was very nice and welcoming and completed my every need. I will be booking here again the next time I’m in Norfolk.

I absolutely will NOT ever stay at this location again! The neighboring Food Lion parking lot is full of grown up adolescents playing with their cars thinking they are in “The Fast and The Furious”. Called the cops twice and they have done nothing so far. All the backfiring rice burners sounds like the Fourth of July. I think someone needs to talk to the city of Norfolk about it because this is a disgrace.

We had a nice stay. It was a nice size clean room. The breakfast was good and the hotel is less than a mile to the base. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.

They charged my military family $130 for a night's stay when they had to book a different hotel. Due to no fault of their own, they were stranded in Virginia as the flight to their base got filled up. Hampton was too expensive for them to spend a week until another flight was available. Is this any way to treat our military? Aww, but what do you care? A kind family member picked up the bill. You got paid.

Do not stay here. With a 48 hour cancelation policy and the change in military flights it is not where you want to stay. They take your money no matter what. $130 gone for nothing. Do not stay here.

We stayed here for 3 nights. NO complaints. Everyone is so nice. They go out of their way to be at your service. Room was clean and I was especially pleased with the bathroom essentials. First time I've seen that they leave mouthwash, Q-tips and a nail file. We will definitely be staying here again next Virginia visit.

Easy access to freeways and the Naval Base. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Good clean rooms. The bed was perfect to crash out on and wake refreshed after a busy day.
They were most accommodating with an early check in as we had taken a red eye out of Los Angeles.
The breakfast buffet is good, they rotate offerings daily.

If you go to Quality Inn up the street you are wrong. Hampton Inn is 10 times better, cleaner and best price.

The rooms are clean. The gym, pool, and laundry rooms were all easy to access and well maintained. The breakfast was pretty good. The staff is extremely friendly. The only issue I have is drinking water from the tap isn't very cold and there's no water in the vending machines.

Drew at the front desk got us checked in very quickly even though we were much earlier than check in time. The pictures show that the rooms are very nice well kept with an upgraded shower head massager and the tub and a good selection of soaps shampoos and other Bath needs. This hotel has no restaurant other than a Serve Yourself breakfast, but there are numerous fast food restaurants well within walking distance.

We had a wedding room block here a few weeks ago and the staff (especially Nathan) was nothing but great through the whole process. From sending me weekly updates as to how many rooms were booked, to upping our room number from 10 to 20, to letting us drop off welcome bags in advance, to allowing everyone to hangout in the lobby since there were too many people to fit in any of the rooms, the staff and Nathan were so accommodating and friendly. Thanks for making this experience so great for us as well as our friends and family! We will definitely use Hampton Inn as our preferred hotels now! Side note, rooms and hotel in general were super clean and the breakfast in the morning was very good!

We weren't here more than 12 hours but we were very satisfied. Staff was friendly and professional, the room was a bit small but was clean and the bed was comfortable. The assortment of provided toiletries/necessities was well above average including things like bath gel, mouthwash and a vanity kit. Only real complaint was that the air conditioner was pretty noisy. I've stayed at several Hilton properties around the Norfolk area and this was easily the best. Would definitely stay here again if I was back in the hell hole that is Norfolk. (Thank God I was a West Coast sailor)

Very nice hotel, clean spacious rooms, and very friendly staff. I would recommend staying at the Hampton Inn Norfolk Naval Base to anyone, including my friends and family. It was very comfortable during my stay. I really enjoyed everything about being there, especially the comfortable. Also, I can't forget the shower, which the water stayed warm and never got cold during each use. During my next visit to the Norfolk area, I will be staying there.

2nd time to stay here. It is really close to the Navy base which I love because I can spend more time with my son. Every staff member that we have talked to or had to deal with where very nice and really seem to enjoy their job. I will be staying here again.

This hotel is a cheap and easy option for those who need to stay nearby to the Naval base or have an event in the area. It is located directly off Hampton Blvd and is close to plenty of restaurants and food options (fast food is all around). It is probably about 5 minutes to the main guest gate and the pass/id area of Norfolk and no further than 10 minutes from any of the gates or the NEX. The inside is clean, if a bit dated and old, and the rooms come with breakfast in the morning. Check-in and check-out was easy and there is plenty of parking outside in the lot. The hotel is basic — so there isn't a lot to say — but it's convenient to the area and reasonably priced.

The hotel is older but kept up. In door pool was nice. We had a late check in and the TV wouldn't work in the room. We were moved and e eryrhjnt was good.

It was a typical hotel room and breakfast. Nothing special. The hot water didn't get very hot though making for just a warm shower.

Nicely kept. And theres light breakfast in the morning which is always helpful. They even had a little coffee station where I could get hot chocolate when I wanted it.

Really good place to stay for a cozy feel. I like the smaller hotel feel that this place provides. The staff was really helpful and the room was really clean.

So, this place is almost hidden from the main road. it was really quiet and not bad considering how close we were to the base. clean and helpful staff but we did leave some valuables at the front desk which initially got misplaced. Took them a bit to locate them which was concerning. I don't know if it was the hotel actually or getting to see our son that made the stay the best ever.

My room was very clean. The breakfast was good. They had cheese omelets and sausage which were all tasty. They also had cranberry scones which were excellent. I would recommend staying here.

Great staff and breakfast. Beds are a little bit hard for my back but everything else was amazing!

The Hampton is our go to hotel, comfortable beds and good breakfast is what we're accustomed to when staying with them. However, at this location, the breakfast room is a small space and there wasn't as much variety. During the week it was fine, but Saturday was very crowded. The staff was helpful, there's not much they can do about the size of the space, but as a heads up — especially for bigger families — try to get to breakfast early!

The hotel was nice and clean. It's in a convenient location and the staff was outstanding! Had it not been for the customer service I received when I called ahead I would have given them 5 stars.

Turn down service was prompt and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was good, with basic Staples rotations around weekly. I really enjoyed the few weeks I was there, and would stay there again if given the opportunity!

Spent four nights last week. Clean, quiet, with a courteous staff. Complimentary newspaper as well as light breakfast. Grocery and restaurants within walking distance. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Pretty great place! Very clean with minimalistic vibes (the room colors and layout). The breakfast is an added plus! And location is good literally a shopping center is literally walking distance as well as some resturants.

Nice room. Breakfast was typical, but I have to mention the staff did very well preparing the food and leeping the buffet and coffee stocked. The hotel was fully booked the evening I stayed there. I plan in using this hotel in the future when visiting Norfolk.

Convenient to the front entry gate of Norfolk Naval Air Base, you will get the complete normal Hampton Inn experience here. No surprises, great continental breakfast with hot homemade waffles, and good rooms and services. This hotel has an indoor pool, which I have never experienced at any Hampton Inn I have stayed at and I have over a half million Hilton Honors points. That means I have stayed at a LOT of their hotels.

This hotel is a little gem situated perfectly just outside the base. The rooms are clean and nice and I love the beds and pillows! I always get a good nights sleep here. It's quiet and comfortable. There are plenty of places within walking distance for a bite to eat or even a little shopping. The continental breakfast is awesome. Always fresh and well tended by the staff. The free Wi-Fi works very well and there are lots of channels to watch on TV. All of the staff are polite, friendly, and professional, and their rates are usually within per diem. It's only a short drive to and from the airport. This is the first hotel I try to book when I know I'm going to be in Norfolk.

We had an excellent experience here and would definitely recommend staying here! While there we were very happy with the clean rooms and friendly staff. After returning home I realized that a very prized possession of mine was not in my bag. I called the hotel and they were able to locate it for me. I will always be grateful to the Hampton Inn for their excellent customer serve and integrity! I will definitely be staying here again!

Everyone is so nice, yet down to earth. Quick and easy check in. Even though I am not a huge breakfast eater, they treat you to a huge selection! Very impressed. Comfy and roomy. Oh, almost forgot… they have complimentary laundry area if that need arises, an adorable inside pool area with lots of windows allowing gentle sunlight in and an adequate exercise gym to keep you from back sliding! Never had a problem with parking spaces, plenty of partial shading over your vehicle (thank you, its getting warmer outside! ) Room key cards worked everytime! Good location for our needs, plus fast food places if you want (we didn't, so unsure about them). For everyone out there, I hope you enjoy your stay!

The Hampton hotel was a very nice experience. We attended a retiree party and this is where we stayed. The stay was accompany by breakfast in the morning and there is coffee for guest at all times. The rooms are clean and everything was orderly. Would definitely use the hotel again when coming here. The location is close to some fast food location in case it's needed. And a pizzeria that closes at 3am.

We traveled from PA to visit our son, who was temporarily stationed at Norfolk Naval Base, and we had to leave early to beat a snow storm. They were wonderful about working with us on an early check in. The room was nice, very clean and well maintained. The staff I interacted with were all very pleasant and helpful, and I'm very glad we chose to stay where we did. If I ever need to go to the Norfolk area again, I would definitely stay there.

A nice hotel. Clean room, beds were comfortable, breakfast was tasty and the staff was friendly and helpful. Pool is a regular size pool for a hotel goes up to 5' deep. I will stay here again and would recommend.

Professional, friendly staff! The lobby was clean, the room was clean and comfortable. I had one issue with the A/C and the professional in charge of maintenance, Tony, took care of it immediately. This is going to be my hotel of choice when I need to return to Norfolk!

Convenient location, nice rooms, excellent check in service & housekeeping. However, not pleased that we had to switch one of our rooms from two doubles to one king.

Great hotel. They are currently under renovation, but the new rooms are excellent. Also, the staff was very courteous and was able to help me with anything that I needed. Will definitely be staying here again if I am to be back to this area in the future.

Comfortable rooms, small coffee pot for your personal brew make for a quaint experience at any time. The TV was a bit on the smaller side however. All in all its on part with a Best Western.

This is conveniently located right down the street from the base, which is great for when my husband has work there. The staff are very friendly and helpful from the moment you enter the hotel. They are ready to assist you however they can. The breakfast food is decent, and the breakfast bags to go are super helpful when you just don't have time to sit down before running off to work. We've stayed here multiple times in the past year, and we have appreciated the location and staff so much.

I don't have housing yet so me and boyfriend like to stay at the Navy lodge on the weekends. It was full one weekend so we stayed here and it was wonderful, the Hampton living up to its standards. They had great breakfast with a worker always working to refill things, everything in the room smelled nice. There was an incident out of our control on our last night and I called the front desk to report it, and the way it was handled was perfect and I'd be glad to go back.

Spoiler Alert… BED BUGS! I've stayed at HI in the past in other states and have found them a great value. I booked a couple nights over the Labor Day weekend to enjoy Virginia Beach with my girl. After a long drive, I ordered in, hopped in the sack, and started watching a movie. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw movement and when I turned to look at my pillow, found a bug I didn't recognize (-never saw bed bugs before). Figuring this might be one, I jumped up and pulled the fitted sheet back — lo and behold, the family was found! UGH! I can't even begin to express how creeped out we were! I called the front desk and the guy came up and started taking pictures with his phone. He said he'd check on another room but I asked for another location. He called me back and said there was nothing elsewhere but he could move me from the 4th floor to the 1st floor. We'd already started dressing because I wasn't spending any more time in that room than was necessary. I told him we were leaving and to credit my stay. We ran out of there so fast it was comical in hindsight. What a total bust of a holiday weekend getaway — we even left the food that was just delivered! I'll say it again… UGH!
