Thank you Phil and Ann for making our anniversary so special. Your home is beautiful and warm. We had a wonderful stay. I still laugh thinking about your story regarding Vegas the butler. I smiled every time I walked down the stairs and saw Vegas standing there. I have his picture on my phone. Thank you again for making our 44th anniversary one of the best.

Our stay a few weeks ago at the Federal Crest Inn Bed & Breakfast was fabulous Our room the Dogwood room had a beautiful canopy bed & fireplace. It was one of the prettiest B & B's we ever stayed in! Ann & Phil Ripley made the best breakfast. So delicious & truly a work of art decorated with beautiful flowers also they recommended great places to eat & we enjoyed our stay there tremendously! It was our first time in Virginia & we can't wait to go back.

We have stayed with the Ripley's at their beautiful bed and breakfast on three week long occasions while attending Liberty University intensive courses. They continue to amaze us with their warm hospitality and attention to our particular needs. Phil's knowledge of Virginia history and the surrounding areas including Lynchburg provided a rich depth and breadth to our stay. Ann's commitment to hospitality and ornate décor are a precursor to the delicious and beautiful breakfasts served each morning. My wife, my son, and I give our highest recommendation to anyone desiring to stay in the Lynchburg area and we look forward to our next stay at the Federal Crest Inn Bed and Breakfast.

Great place to spend a special 1st anniversary. Host & Hostess are the best. Inn is beautiful, quite Love looking at all the decorations that they have in all the room's.

I went to Va with my daughter to look at colleges and didn't want to stay in a hotel. I came across this bed and breakfast and im so glad I chose it over another one. Phil and Ann are lovely people and their Inn is as well. We stayed in the Willow room with a beautiful fireplace, We woke to a breakfast that started with a fresh fruit bowl surrounded by fresh flowers. Fresh muffins, egg souffle, bagels coffee juice. Yummy! thank you for a wonderful night.

Federal Crest is a beautifully built and decorated home. The architecture of the building is period perfect. There is a theatre on the top floor with an actual stage! The rooms are tastefully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. I have stayed at a lot of BandB's and this is the first one time I actually sat in the kitchen with the host and just chatted all morning. Ann is a perfect host. She has the only Jack Russell I have ever seen that will just sit quietly in her lap whilst people talk. Apparently the relaxed atmosphere at Federal Crest can calm even a Jack Russell.

Passing through on my way home from Thanksgiving, we stopped at the Federal Crest Inn. We were lucky to find a room available. I can't begin to say what a wonderful time we had! We absolutely loved our hosts. Even though they wanted to afford us the privacy, we insisted on talking with them in the evening downstairs in the parlor and the next morning in the dining room. The room was romantic with a fire lit by the time we returned from dinner. The connecting bathroom was spotless! We were dissappointed to have to eventual leave. We will definately return to spend more time exploring the city. We learned so much about Lyncburg that it's worth another trip.

Ann and Phil really go out of their way to provide a perfect experience for their guests! We will attempt another trip as soon as possible, mainly because our hosts did such a good job of pointing out how much there is to do in Lynchburg. The room was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the service could not have been better. We highly recommend Federal Crest B&B.

The Inn is beautiful and tastefully renovated. The room/bed was very comfortable (and I usually have trouble sleeping on the road), Could not ask for more generous or hospitable owners. My only regret was not being able to sample the food, due to other engagements. Thank you Ann and Phil. What a delight. Ley Watson.
