We are so happy with the way our wedding turned out at the Craddock Terry Hotel! Michelle was great to work with and made planning (and replanning) our intimate wedding so easy. The space was so beautiful! Our guests also raved about the food and drinks provided by Shoemaker’s Restaurant. We loved every minute of hosting our wedding here.

I have traveled quite a bit all over the country as well as abroad for both personal and business. This hotel has to be one of the sweetest little historic boutique hotels I have ever come across. So many great little extras and quaint details that make it very relaxing and eclectic.
They are extremely pet friendly without encroaching on the guests privacy♥️

This place is the best — beautiful and whimsical with the nicest touches. An old shoe factory where shoes rule the decor, continental breakfast left at your door in an old shoebox, pet friendly and the deepest, comfiest beds and comforters you’ve ever slept in. Very unique.

I absolutely loved this hotel. There wasn’t anything I could recommend to change. I walked into our rooms and felt like home. It was beautiful. The tall ceiling, the furniture, the bathrooms, the vintage look. I will be coming back to visit and will be staying there again. I have already told friends back home about this hotel. Great job!

Was approached after an event yesterday and told that my dog was not recognized because she was a “pitbull. ” I was completely appalled and didn’t know how to respond at the time so just left. Whoever this person was may not be a part of the Craddock Terry Staff, but it certainly doesn’t allow for good rapport as a business. Quite frankly, I am highly upset about the situation. Everyone attending the event came up to us and said that it was a shame and that they did not understand. Everyone went on about how beautiful and perfect her costume was and how well behaved she was. There were other dogs who were unruly and even biting at other dogs while mine sat and wiggled her tail just happy and calm.

I loved the ambience and romantic rooms! It felt like a personalized experience. The only drawback is the trains sound like they are right in your room with you — not a pleasant experience at 2 am — otherwise it was a great time! Love the huge tubs!

Excellent in every way! The staff, Pennyloafer and Buster were super friendly upon arrival. Loved the setting of the hotel nestled downtown with great views of the area and the decor of this boutique hotel is special in every way. Brought my dog Ellie and she was welcomed by everyone and treated with a doggy bag of goodies. The access to great restaurants is a plus as well. Can't wait to go back!

Top notch hotel with a great style and history behind it. The staff was excellent. Make sure to say hello to Penny Loafer the hotel resident dog. She is sweet and friendly. We even got to her for a walk. The hotel is advertised as a 3 star hotel but definitely treated as 4 star guests. They have turn down service in the evenings which no other 3 star I know of does.

Such a wonderful place! This is my second time staying at The Craddock Terry, and it is a fantastic hotel! It’s beautiful and unique, super clean, and the hotel staff are polite and helpful. There is so much attention to detail, it really makes for an amazing place to stay. Absolutely love the character and charm, and as odd as it sounds the hotel smells heavenly! Service: amazing. Both receptionists I talked to were professional and friendly. When I brought up a concern about the parking around the Tesla destination chargers, my concerns were resolved quickly. The front desk personnel are top notch. Accommodations: the building has a lot of character. Many areas tastefully show exposed beam ceilings and weathered brick. My room was nicely prepared and decorated. The beds are firm and pillows vary in hardness. Shower came stocked with pump gel, conditioner, and shampoo. The front desk also houses a mascot/resident dog which may greet you, depending on your preference. The pup was very chill and calmly sniffed everyone's shoes. Very pleasant stay.

5 stars! Kelli was very welcoming. Very very clean. You could smell the freshness as we walked into our very large room. We opted for a bottle of champagne with our room (worth it). On our arrival it was already elegantly placed on ice waiting to be popped. The bed was very comfortable as were the couch and chair. Extra large bathroom with his and her sinks, giant bathtub, and stand up shower with a rain shower head. Room service is available as well. 5 star hotel with 3 star prices. Incredible value. Forget the Hilton, stay here! It is very apparent that hotel manager and staff truly care about your stay. Oh, did I mention it is a renovated shoe factory? Exposed brick and beams… where else can you find that?! Well done, Craddock. We'll be returning.

Beautiful Hotel with so much charm. I loved meeting Buster Brown and he loves posing for pictures. It is in a convenient location with several great restaurants within walking distance! Rooms are well appointed and the staff is wonderful!

Located in the heart of historic downtown Lynchburg, the hotel is an old building but well renovated into a 5-star hotel. We requested for an early check-in, it was approved, we request for a late check-out, it was approved also, even on a off season time, some hotels would not have approved it. The reception personnel were very helpful in advise on what to do in the city. Breakfasts were good, with fresh fruits and juices, fried eggs, sliced salmons and everything you would want for breakfast.

This is by far the coolest hotel I have ever seen! It was very different and the decor was absolutely beautiful. The staff was great and the breakfast was so unique and wonderful. Also, you can't forget the adorable dog!

We live locally and enjoyed an anniversary getaway at the Craddock Terry Hotel. We loved it and highly recommend the whole experience! The front desk staff was very helpful. After arriving on a very hot afternoon (free parking! ) we showered in the gorgeous walk in shower with a rain head adjustable faucet. A tablet was in the room with links preloaded for local restaurants and attractions. We walked downstairs to a delicious meal at Shoemakers. The calamari appetizer was amazing and the burgers were delicious. After dinner we walked around downtown and along the Blackwater Creek trail. We stopped at Maylynns Creamery for awesome milkshakes. The king sized bed with at least eight soft pillows was SO comfortable and relaxing. We did get a sound machine from the front desk which helped with train and parking lot noise. We enjoyed the keurig in the room as well as a complementary breakfast muffin (made locally at Lorraine’s Bakery) delivered in a shoebox! For brunch the next day we walked a short way to White Hart Cafe. Delicious bagel sandwich and great coffee! The whole stay was so relaxing and just what we needed! Thank you for a great stay! We’d love to come again!

Went for Romantic weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The room and shower where amazing. Really like the shoe box breakfast. So I downgrade for two reasons. First the window was not clean wehn I rolled up the window shade found dead bug in a web. The second is the sounds proofing left something to be desired. We could hear conservation in building not sure if was above or beside us. Adtionaly the train come by blowing it's whistle it is really. Neither of these should stop us from coming back.

The staff at this establishment went above and beyond for me. I attended an event hosted at the hotel. My son lost my key to the house. We didn't realize this information until we were back home 4 hrs away. I called and one of the front desk attendants took the time to look and found my key. This is what I call exceptional customer service. Thank you so much!

The rooms and amenities are very nice. The suite we were in was big enough to have a few friends hang out. Plus there is a lovely couple of dogs that live there and are very friendly.

This has to be one of my favorite boutique hotels in the world! The service is outstanding which is hard to find in today’s customer service desert. The General Manager really knows what he is doing and that first class care is evident from the front desk to the bell men. The rooms and the entire place is lovely, comfortable and memorable. We will be back again and again! Proud of how they have led the entire rebirth of downtown Lynchburg. Kudos!

One of the premier hotels in town. Pricing is not bad and the historic building in beautiful downtown Lynchburg makes for an ideal stay and local getaway. Fantastic views and great local eateries, including Shoemakers, which is located in the same building.

Stayed here during our honeymoon. We were booked in a king suite on the 4th floor in the corner of the building, and we had an amazing view of the James River and surrounding area. Very clean, very comfortable, and looks like as much as it costs to stay there. Huge HUGE space. Living room area separate from the bedroom; bathroom with huge vanity space closed off from shower and toilet area; hot tub bathtub, standing shower; huge bedroom with TV, fireplace, ginormous windows with a great view, extremely comfortable bed. Definitely more historic — if you're looking for a fresh, bright, and new hotel, try The Virginian up the street. Craddock Terry will meet your needs if you're looking for a warm, historic place to stay.

What a step back in time. The history behind this beautiful hotel was wonderful. If you have any iterests in booking their banquet room, ask for Anna Fitzgerald. I'm sure the entire staff is just as helpful, however my client and I had the pleasure of having Ms. Fitzgerald assist us with the tour, history and details of our event.

Love this place. Great location and service, the rooms are beautifully appointed, and the design/decorations are a reflection of the fact that the building used to be a shoe factory. I highly recommend this hotel.

I was recently a guest at this hotel while visiting a local leather supplier. They raved about this boutique hotel and insisted I stay here. The service was second to none and the hotel itself is spectacular. The rooms were beautiful and true to the architecture of the region and the authenticity of the original building. The wood ceilings in the rooms are amazing and the brick is very warm and inviting. I would suggest anybody in the region always go to this hotel first. Make sure to book in advance because there aren't that many rooms.

Would absolutely STAY AGAIN! Holy bed comfort and fluffiness Loved being greeted by the dog buster & Penny. So friendly The hotel was amazing and clean and the fact it was from an old shoe factory was super cool. Breakfast was munchies that were delivered in a shoe box. look you just gotta see it for your self!

Everything at the Craddock Terry is beyond expectation. Starting with the location and appearance, this place is hard to beat. Goregeous, historic looking building in the heart of downtown and it's right in the bluff walk that is full of fantastic places to eat and see. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, always providing propmt and efficient service. Finally, the rooms are exquisite and feature some of the truest Lynchburg feel in the city. Easily one of the best in the entire area as well as the city.

Beautiful furnishings and thoughtful touches throughout. Excellent use of historic buildings. We stayed during the holidays and had a little tree to decorate in our room. You order breakfast by placing an old wooden shoebox outside your room. They fill it with pastries, yogurt and fruit in the morning. Too cute.

The rooms are excellent. Luxury soaking tub. Nicely styled. It had a nice large bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. The service at the front desk was accommodating and brought us complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste upon our request. Their breakfast system is cute. The breakfast was pretty decent for a continental breakfast, but the orange juice though very good was very small and the muffin had a good taste but was a but dry. All in all the hotel is awesome.

Nice large room and bathroom. Enjoyed our stay. Don't try to eat late on Sunday the attached restaurants randomly close early. Walk to RA bistro.

This is the cutest little hotel! I am very comfortable here while on a company trip. Breakfast is served to your room in a shoebox to fit the theme of the hotel. Already planning my next trip.

Shoemakers restaurant was nice. I had a really good steak and my wife the best crab cakes she has ever eaten. I will definitely go back. It's a fine dining experience like no other. Great staff, food and ambiance.

I took my husband there for his birthday. This is a charming hotel. We are already making plans with friends to go back and see some of the surroundings… Poplar Forest, Museum of the Confederacy. And Shoemakers Restaurant was awesome!

We loved The Craddock Terry so much on our first visit that we decided to come back to vacation there! Shoemakers & Waterstone are 5 star restaurants with amazing food. The rooms are super cozy & the staff are second to none!

What an amazing place to stay; loved my two nights here. Beautiful design and rooms in this converted shoe factory. Beds were very comfortable and cozy. Staff was very courteous and always helpful. It is also very close to all the local restaurants and bars.

I prepaid for my room in advance to ensure I received the room I wanted. When travel plans changed and I needed to reschedule (two weeks notice) they let me know that they do not refund or even give a credit for prepaid reservations. They literally just took my money for absolutely nothing in return. How does a hotel like this get away with that?

Beautiful hotel! In town visiting and staying for several nights. My room has a relaxing view facing the river and greenery. Only hang up is my room is on top of or really close to a restaurant and it gets quite noicy in the evenings. Overall, a really good choice for hotel!

This is a very nice, unique, hotel with personality. Every room is different, with a touch of the past coexisting with modern amenities. The beds are soft and comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and nice. The breakfast is unique where they deliver it to your room on request. It has been a croissant with brie cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit (mostly melon), and orange juice. The food quality is decent, but not great, and it's more quantity than I really need, so I hate wasting some. The staff has been friendly and helpful when needed. Overall, it's a great place to stay for business or pleasure.

We loved the CT Hotel. The history, service & decor were top notch. Buster Brown is a pleasure too (mascot). Their dog policy was nice too.

Beautiful hotel, great location downtown and by the riverwalk. Bathrooms well appointed. Could hear trains and the restaurant right below us but the most comfortable bed ever made up for it. Would definitely stay there again.

We had the opportunity to work with Craddock Terry Hotel on a 30th Anniversary party for Blue Ridge Montessori School 3/11/16. The event manager Anna Fitzgerald and Garth and all the catering and front desk staff were superb in customer service and professionalism. Although we were working we enjoyed the experience and the hotel and banquet rooms are excellent. Highly recommended!

The hotel was amazing. Felt very luxurious as you walked in and around. The staff was very helpful and kind. They always greeted me. The king suite was amazing: high ceilings, exposed stone walls, beautiful decor. The shoe theme was throughout the room and hotel. However, the reason it isn't five stars were for some things. First, the robe was very rough and scratchy instead of soft (a little annoying), the breakfast delivered to the room was a nice touch but for the caliber hotel was not up to par. Finally, I was above the restaurant and could hear the loud music and every conversation as I tried to sleep around midnight.

Wonderful stay at an incredible price. Beautiful decor is at every turn along with excellent dining and shopping, all within walking distance. Customer service is second to none.

This place is awesome. Very nice room with all the amenities you could ask for. The staff were great and helpful in every way. Awesome restaurants nearby and plenty to see and do. Just a very cool atmosphere at this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!
