Though under renovation this hotel provided a sterling experience for me and my family. The staff was so friendly and breakfast was delish! The rooms were nice and clean as well. Very close to Liberty University as well as many options for shopping and dining.

Wonderful establishment! We were overnight guests for a wedding that took place at this venue. It was beautiful. The rooms are magnificent as well as the toiletries. Comfortable beds and pillows made for a great night's rest. Hated to leave to go home. We will return!

Great service & helpful staff. Construction taking place was bothersome, but understandable. Great room setup with clean bathrooms. (Side note: I'll never understand why hotels choose to price gouge their guests for sodas, snacks, etc… seems like that should be an outdated, frivolous practice now)

It's a good place. It is located close to many important things, and has facilities for swimming and doing the exercises. The dorms worked, but the breakfast was not so good. Besides, there was a lot of construction, but this didn't cause so much trouble. If you need a place to stay, I suggest you come there because I had a good experience. :)

As usual, the breakfasts and lunches at this hotel were exceptional during the training I attended over two days. I have marked them down a star due to the inconvenience caused by the renovation of the lobby. Also, the air conditioning went out early on the first day, but they repaired it quite quickly; however, this sort of failure is sometimes unavoidable, and the quick response was greatly appreciated, so this is almost a plus.

Very nice staff. Room is clean and in perfect location for us. Next to Target, Ross, Walmart. Liberty University is within walking distance.

The hotel was fantastic. The front desk staff and the room all exceeded my expectations. I'm not giving it 5 stars because the restaurant area was a mess when I came down for breakfast. No one was cleaning tables and for the 30 minutes I was down there, I heard one waitress complaining about how many times she had been sat and how things were set up wrong for at least 20 minutes of it.

I have been attempting to obtain a final receipt for a meeting that was held on February 15th. Christine Mayott has not responded to me emails or calls. I contacted Corporate via their form and she finally calls me back and ask for my email as she says she has been sending the receipt to one of our event planners. The planner confirms she has not received a receipt. Christine then says she doesn't think she has my email correct, however she's been receiving my request for a receipt that came from my email. This is very unprofessional and is affecting our expense/reimbursement process.

I was not impressed with this hotel. Initially, I attempted to print an item in the business center but the printer waa not operational, a sign directs guests to email your document to the front desk for printing. Due to their firewall settings, most email cannot be accessed (thus you cannot print). The Hilton promise is clearly posted on the front desk, which I read as I overheard the front desk clerk tell another guest that he was sorry housekeeping skipped their room and that due to their work hours had to leave (to avoid full time hours). He went on to state that there is a chance he "might be able to get them fresh towels, but would not make a guarantee). So much for the Hilton promise. The pillows are not the best for allergy sufferers… if this is you go to Wal-Mart across the street and buy one. The internet may block your cellular phone from receiving multimedia messages. The location is next to the train tracks… great if you want to listen to trains almost all night. At $150.00 per night plus tax, breakfast should be included… not here. As a Hilton Honors member, I prefer to stay at Hilton… just not this Hilton. I suggest you locate another hotel in the area. This will enable you to sleep better, save money and have quiet.

The staff was great, not in a bad location, room was clean and enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Very clean room, quiet, pleasant staff. Two items were problematic: 1) the sheer curtains let too much light in and the heavy curtains are only ornamental. Two fairly large lights were outside our window. 2) the breakfast is only free to diamond members while one of their ads suggested "free breakfast". For the price, they can give everyone free breakfast.

My son and I loved this location. The staff here are awesome and very helpful. The evening treats are fresh and very tasty. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The rate was decent and the morning breakfast has a great variety.

Location is great, close to many restaurants and the university. The rooms were clean and service was great.

Extremely clean lobby and rooms. Cooked to order breakfast was great (and included but definitely ask). Would stay again if I'm ever in this area again!

Lovely place, super neat and clean. Neither of our keys worked the first time, but that was the only issue. Service was above and beyond.

Nice hotel. Great proximity to many dining locations and less than 5 minutes from the airport. Rooms are a bit dated but they are currently renovationg.

Brittany is awesome! The hotel has super comfy accommodations. It was so nice to be able to stay there the three weekends I had to come up for a class at Liberty University.

The staff and service are superb. The location is excellent (right off the exit and close to stores and restaurants). I have stayed at this location many times and have never had a complaint.

Overall my stay was good. The breakfast in the morning took a long, butt was fresh, hot, and yummy. My only complaint is that there were 3 lady bugs on the wall all week.

Made our reservation ahead of time. Tried to do a late check-in on the app and although it gave me the option for an "after 11pm" check-in time it would not accept it. Not to be discouraged, I called the hotel and told them the issue with the app and that we needed a late check-in to ensure our reservation. The lady said no problem and someone will be there when we arrive (? ) Not sure if they sometimes don't have someone there or not…

Understaffed during evening checkout, breakfast area was understaffed and chaotic, due to a party and several academic and professional events scheduled simultaneously there was no parking available for numerous guests. The guest in front of me had made reservations months in advance and was told upon check in they didn't have a room for him. This experience was not at all what I have experienced at other Hilton locations. This event has felt like an experiment conducted by the hospitality management curriculum at the area college. Very disappointed.

Friendly staff. Clean average rooms. Little hard to get in and out to main road. I believe overpriced for area.

Here for a one night stay for a wedding. Nice, clean, good location near local universities. Would recommend.

Everything was good! Employees were super polite! Room was good, clean and up to date!

Location was good, service was good, and the room was nice… only issue was that the description of the room said " pillow top bed", when it was actually a memory foam which wasn't exactly uncomfortable but we prefer pillow top.

We booked our wedding room block here and were extremely disappointed with the rooms as well as the sales staff. Several of our guests mentioned how uncomfortable the beds were. What was most frustrating was my interaction with one of their sales staff, Daniella Benton. Her customer service, communication and ability to manage the room block and a brunch after the wedding were extremely poor. Guests had trouble making reservations and instead of accepting responsibility for the issue she corrected my wording of the issue. The banquet event order for the event was not given to us in time to adequately notify guests of payment. And the food was terrible. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It's not about making mistakes or mishaps, it's about how those are handled and Daniella failed every time.

Wonderful hotel convenient to restaurants and shopping. Staff is upbeat and frendly. Lobby restaurant has good daily specials. The bed at hotel was the adjustable "sleep number" type, which seems to have seen better days. Other than difficulty in getting it adjusted this hotel would have received a fifth star from me. Will stay at the Hilton Garden Inn again.

Very pleased with the location, cleanliness & staff at this Hilton. We got there too early to check in but Bryant the front desk staff member was very kind and said he would call and let me know when the room was available. Bryant held a cake for us in the kitchen until we were able to check in. I really did appreciate the way he took care of our request and will most definitely stay at the hotel again when I am in the area. The hotel being under construction was not an issue at all.

This is a pretty good hotel. I wouldn't say anything is above and beyond what one would expect. The staff are friendly, and the rooms are well kept. I would recommend staying here.

Tub was clogged. Staff was incredibly delightful.

Fairly helpful staff and a decent room. Trains do run behind the hotel at all hours. Surprisingly the restaurant is very good. I don't usually eat in at "smaller" hotels but this was a standout. Both breakfast (straightforward menu) and dinner were tasty. Pasta dishes and burgers were filling and very well prepared by Chef Mika. We'll be back.

Comfortable room, great breakfast, friendly staff. We will return. This is a very nicely decorated hotel.

Great hotel, but the front desk staff acted like my checking in at 11:00pm was inconveiniencing them.

I recently attended a 2 day educational event at Hilton Garden Inn, Lynchburg. I live locally, so I didn't stay at the hotel, but I really enjoyed their excellent banquet staff. They were more than accommodating with all requests. The meals and snacks were fresh and appealing. The staff was quick to clear dirty dishes and offer refills on beverages. Everyone seemed happy to have our group and it showed on their faces and in their work. I would recommend this venue for an event. Thanks HGI!

I got hung up on twice the second time I was on the phone for 19 minutes and the lady was very rude.

This hotel earns "the worst hotel I've stayed at" award. I booked a 1BR suites room and upon checking in, I was assigned a room 212 which is a handicap accessible room. I went up to second floor and saw a door with a double peep holes which indicates the room is handicap accessible. I returned the front desk and refused to take that room then front desk (Michele) gave me a regular king size bed room. I complained that I booked for a suites. Then another front desk person gave me a key to other room which is again a regular King size bed room. I raised my voice at the front desk and demanded the 1 BR suites I originally booked for. Then a male front desk (claimed that he's the manager) took me to room 212 the handicap room again and told me that as Hilton standards, all the suite rooms have a handicap accessible which I strongly doubt. I went up to 3rd and 4th floor and checked room 312 and 412 to see if their doors have a double peep holes like the room 212, but they are the regular doors with only a single peep holes. I stormed to front desk and told them what I found out. He told me " all the suites rooms have same handicap features" I told him that's a BS. Michelle told me " look. My friend had a heart attack last week and her half body is paralyzed and she has no money to take care of her family. Your situation (of being assigned a handicap room) is neighing compare to that. We'll treat you a glass of wine. Relax and stop causing a scene in front of other guests.

Hotel is nice, facilities are clean and not outdated. I would stay here again. Just bear in mind that a rail line does run quite nearby behind the hotel, while it didn't bother me, it may bother others.

Our first family reunion was held there the weekend of Oct 11-13, 2013. The food was excellent! The accommodations were great! And the staff consistently provided service that was simply off the charts! Many family members said our weekend far exceeded their high expectations. We had a wonderful time — thanks to HGIL.
