6 military members' vehicles broken into in 1 night! do not stay at this hotel. There are homeless camps surrounding the place, they have probably a dozen cameras on the outside of the hotel, yet they aren't good enough quality to catch the license plate or faces of two guys that pull into the parking lot in a truck. They had nothing obstructing the license plate and no masks, and you still can't make anything out. They also have "security". He drives through the parking lot once every hour or so and then signs his book in the lobby and moves on. This hotel is an absolute joke. I stayed here 6 nights and there were cops there two of the nights. Of course, they have signs up saying "Users assume all risk" so the six of us that had our windows smashed and military gear stolen are just SOL. Also, let's not forget that this is NOT even close to the first time this has happened to our members. We have had break ins every time we've had members staying there this year! Steer clear of this hotel! Their management is either ignorant or just really doesn't care to protect their customers that much.

Compact rooms with no space to move around. Showers are terrible head sprays everywhere but down and the drain was already clogged. Beds are bricks and the fridge sounded like a chainsaw off and on. The heater growls and smells like burnt toast and hair. This place is Grossly over priced and it’s literally in the ghetto with tweekers and wanna be gangsters roaming around the parking lot. Trash and cigarette butts everywhere on the ground and the parking lot is dark. Will never stay here again.

Facility was nice, staff helpful. However it's in a questionable area. Parking lot surrounded by fence and gates at entrance area. Lots of homeless and mentally ill people. From the room could view a vacant lot across the street witnessed what appeared to be prostitution an drug dealing. Wife was harrassed by a homeless man yelling at her while taking our dog out. Been in other places similar and did not feel safe for my family here. Or my vehicle in the parking lot despite, the security measures in place. We left promptly.

Typically this is a good hotel chain but last night's experience was far from being acceptable. The fire alarm went off at 4:30 a. M. And everybody evacuated and waited outside for about a half hour until the fire department came and clear the hotel for reentry. After everybody got back inside and to bed the alarm went off again at 6:30 am. Also found out that the alarm went off the day before around the same time. There was no fire there were no kids pulling fire alarms just something wrong with their system. Because I bought through a third party there was nothing that they would do to accommodate me. I'm starting to question their sign they have at the front desk saying if you're not 100% satisfied with your stay they'll make it right. Instead I just paid $240 for a sleepless night and a unaccommodating front desk. Completely disappointed and frustrated with my stay at Hampton Inn and Suites.

I have to start by saying the girl at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. She is the only reason I'm putting 3☆ instead of 1☆. That being said, I booked a room a week in advance with two queen beds. The hotel emailed me numerous confirmation reminders which I appreciated. I called the day I was to arrive to let them know what time I would be there and everything was fine as far as I knew. When I arrived they didn't have the room I booked. I was told the system regularly over books and the only room availabe was one bed with a pullout couch instead of the two queen beds I had booked. So I spent a miserable night on a very uncomfortable pullout couch. On top of that the room wasn't cleaned. There were dirty towels and bedding, used shampoo, lotion and soap bottles. The sink and the fridge had food remains in them. When I called down to the front desk the girl was very apologetic but she had no other rooms available and since she was the only one manning the entire hotel for the night I had to go down, get sheets and pillow cases and spend the next hour cleaning the room before we could go to bed. The girl from the front desk got us a room with two beds the next morning which was fresh and clean. But the hallway carpets are dirty, ripped in places and dingy giving the place an unkempt atmosphere. This was the first time I've stayed at a Hampton Inn and I guess I expected better from a $200 a night room.

Stayed here for 5 days for work. Great friendly staff, good sized rooms with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms! I would have given 4 or 5 stars, but the Continental Breakfast tasted like it was put out 2 days prior to serving. The breads and muffins were all crumbly and the French toast was like eating rubber. I've had Continental Breakfast at other hotels, but it always had tasted much fresher. Again, great amazing staff and facilities, but well below mediocre breakfasts.

This hotel was very nice! The staff was great and friendly. The pool and hot tub was clean. Overall, our stay was excellent and I would definitely stay here again!

This location is centrally located near the South Tacoma area and is very convenient to access from I-5. It is near many shops, restaurants, and other useful places in the Lakewood area. Inside is well kept, including the lobby and conference rooms which are quiet and great for lounging or meeting. The staff is courteous and helpful.

I stayed here twice this past week a couple of nights apart. Both stays were great and I was able to get a quiet and comfortable night's stay. The front desk manager Tina was very friendly both times when I checked in. She had my room key ready from the online check-in and provided me with a bottle of water as a Hilton Honors member. The breakfast was enjoyable and similar to other Hampton Inns. One of the things that I like is that each morning has different items on the breakfast line. Unlike other hotel chains that I stay at that have the same items out day after day. The location was convenient for the work I was doing and was right off the highway. There is an interesting collection of shopping in the area and is not somewhere I think I would go walking through the neighborhood for my exercise.

All the Hamptons are getting standardized, so it's all the same. Room is fine and quiet. Place is clean.

Hospitality was good. Spa was a little run down. Few transients hanging around but there everywhere.

The front desk staff was very nice but the staff that was helping with the free breakfast were the best. They were very friendly and helpful. The beds were super soft and I slept well. I'd strongly consider them again.

The room was nice. Breakfast good… staff was great. The only thing we did not like was the lack of suoervision at the pool and hot tub not for the little kids but for the 2 extremely rude and crude group of young adults.

I stayed here with my family this weekend for a cheer competition and up until Sunday morning they would have gotten 5 stars. Clean, quiet rooms, easy access, good breakfast, easy check in. However, Sunday morning at 11am we had everything packed up ready to leave and our car has been stolen. The front desk clerk has no training what to do for this situation. We had my 4 little girls ages 9, 6, 3 and 1 with all of our things (there was a lot) he did turn on cartoons in the lobby for them. We weren't offered anything to hold the kids over, nothing to drink, no snacks, no access to a bathroom without a key. Security was a joke. We had a guy come to tell us his supervisor wouldn't be in until 6 and asked us to stay with no offer of a room of any kind for my family. A guest in the lobby asked if we needed help witnessing all of this offering to buy my kids lunch, and stay in his room until we figured it out. We did take him up on the offer to drive my husband to get a rental car when he came back he told me my husband would be back after he bought the car seats he stayed with us for over an hour while we waited for my husband to make sure we weren't in need for anything. We were told we would get a call at 6pm from the head of security about the security tapes, by that time we got a call from Oregon Police they have a suspect in custody and I called at 8pm in desperate need of the tapes for the police.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. The front desk in particular Dan, was the most unprofessional environment I have ever been in. I have never left a review for anything but this hotel is the worst of the worst. Right from the start it seemed impossible to check in. I was charged twice for the room after being told I wouldn’t be charged twice. Now I can’t get a hold of the hotel for a refund. They won’t return my calls. Horrible customer service. If you are planning on staying here even if it’s only for one night like I did Ill save you the trouble and tell you DO NOT do it.

GROSS AND NASTY! DON'T STAY HERE! We went to get in bed and there was BLOOD all over the sheets and you could tell that the sheets had not been washed because it was fresh blood seconds it took us 25 minutes to get a new room but the Light in the bathroom did not work there was a guys swimming NUDY in the pool after hours we could see it from our room it was disgusting they were kids seen in the hotel and they seen it as well There was hair in the microwave hair That looked like pubic hair They try to double charge us for switching rooms Ran my credit card 3 different times offered me a $50 gift card that doesn't even cover how much I paid DO NOT STAY HERE NASTY NASTY NASTY!

Great staff and a nice room. Only wish the heat/AC stayed on continually for the noise as you sleep. Would definitely stay again.

Hampton inn was wonderful. The clerk that check us in was friendly and informative. We got to our room and it was clean and very nice. We would go back again for sure.

I can totally understand people being a bit intimidated by the hotel's surroundings, but it's a diamond among the rough. Yeah, okay, Tacoma can have these sketchy areas (believe me because I lived here 4 years), but I think the hotel managers go overboard to try to compensate for that. And, there's real security measures such as elevators needing a room key to work. Oh, by the way, they also have reserved parking for Diamond-level Honors members. The rooms are really clean and cute, so, don't chicken-out cuz you're gonna love it there!

Alina Sauro For years we have used Hampton Inn. We have trusted the quality and service and indeed expected to do the same at our stay here in the Tacoma Mall location that you are in charge of. However we so far we have been sorely disappointed.   Firstly there is a gross stain on our carpet. It is so unbecoming that we avoid stepping on it. Photo attatched.   As we checked in and settled into our room we noticed drilling and intense loud banging coming from next door. Being near 8pm at night we went to investigate and found a worker replacing the lock mechanism. Understandably we contacted the front desk to request the noise work be finished for the night. After this request we where basically told tough luck being that it was the last door of the night we would have to put up with the annoyance. I went down stairs and asked the young lady (who we have twice found sitting in the office and not at the desk, first time ever that has been the case and any of the dozens of Hampton /Hilton's we've stayed at) working reception "how in the world is it acceptable for the noise work to be continued well in to the night?! " She obviously has no answer to this question. So I now pose the question to you.   How is the noise okay?   How is the stain okay?  Or another question specifically for you would be. As I write this the fire alarms are going off due to the dust from the saw in the small area with no ventilation.!

Worst hotel experience I have ever had and I travel weekly for work! BED BUGS! I really shouldn’t have to say more but I will. After one night I had hundreds of bites causing an allergic reaction, my doctor said it must have been grossly infected for me to have this many bites. It is also in a sketchy part of town, they have security measures, such as a locked fence around the entire parking lot and you can’t ride the elevator without using your door key, I didn’t feel safe even with the added security. Lastly my room smelled like vomit and cigarettes. I stayed against my better judgement only because I arrived at 11:00pm and had to be at a work site at 7:30am. I have stayed at Hilton Hotels all around the country and this was the absolute worst.

Service is excellent, rooms are clean, free breakfast. If you care more about the immediate area I would take off one star, but the hotel itself is great. Modest pool and exercise room.

Very nice Hilton franchise hotel — I travel a lot and compared to other Hampton Inns I've stayed at, this is one of the better ones. Clean and inviting. Front desk clerk very personable.

This hotel has a very friendly staff and nice spacious rooms. My room was very clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. The desks in the room are really nice and convenient for working. There is a great pool and fitness center here. The hotel is not located in the best neighborhood but feels very secure. Some of the carpets and paint look a little worn but not dirty at all. Overall this is a nice property.

We are actually at the Hampton Inn & Suites on Hosmer Road in South Tacoma. My parents are staying there while visiting us. I have spent time here and had breakfast here, and the food and service is excellent. The room is clean and has a microwave and a good sized refrigerator. This hotel is very secure, for example, the only way you can use the elevator is with a room key. I give this hotel 5 stars.

My parents stay here when they come to town. They love it. The room was nice and spacious and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent, but not a huge selection. The coffee was pretty good. It's a nice place, especially for being in a less than ideal neighborhood.

Miss Dorothy will be happy to feed you a marvelous breakfast… what a nice way to start the day! Angelica T made sure my room was clean and inviting. Every staff member gave me a cheerful greeting. I even got warm cookies and milk each afternoon. I'm glad a fitness room is available until midnight.

Really enjoyed my stay here, staff is really friendly and welcoming. Rooms are nice and really clean witch is a must for me! Breakfast was really good, lots of options & really clean as well. Parking is good and they have security to keep an eye on all the cars at night witch I really like. With no hesitation I would recommend this hotel to friends & family. Next time I'm looking for a hotel I will for sure be looking for a Hampton inn! (VERY happy with my stay! )

It was great! From the very friendly check in to very clean and well maintained rooms. Beds were very comfortable and bedding smelled good. Free breakfast had large variety and plentiful. It was really quiet and peaceful to just kick back, put our feet up and enjoy the room. Which was the purpose of a very impromptu overnight get away. The only thing I would have liked was a grab bar outside of the tub/shower for the queen of klutziness lol. Definitely ready to go back soon. In fact, already planning it.

A good and secure hotel. However the location is not the best. While the hotel itself is perfectly safe the surrounding area is sketchy at best. Make sure you have a car.

Really nice staff, always polite and willing to please. We have stayed in many other hotels, resorts, and cruise ships and no service was finer. The breakfast was great as well. A fine hotel, looking forward to a return trip.

Excellent service! Especially from Tammy at the front desk! She was extremely helpful and made me a batch of delicious, fresh-baked cookies. After the cookies came out, she offered to get me a glass of milk. This was beyond what I expected. Extremely pleased with my visit.

It was a nice room with a personal touch left by the housekeepers. It was clean and orderly and I like the hotels attention to being environmentally friendly.

I was there for a business meeting, about 15 of us had a conference room booked. The amenities were good, however the space was quite small for what we need it. They had a problem trying to find enough chairs for us, have despite it being furnished well, this hotel is in the absolute worst part of Tacoma.

Clean rooms, excellent breakfast, late check-out time was generous. On a negative note, Housekeeping and front desk forgot I had a late check-out and disturbed me and the beds were kind of lumpy. When I mentioned the fact I was disturbed a couple of times and I had a late check-out for a reason, the front desk manager comped my stay on their 100% satisfaction guarantee. This impressed me.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Friendly staff. Hotel is well secured with a single parking lot entry point at night and 24/7 elevator lock. This Hampton still has cookies in the evening which is nice after a long day.

The rooms were clean and the complementary breakfast was decent. I really liked how all outside doors, elevators and stairwells need key cards to access. Very secure.
