My family and I stayed 1 night here and that’s all the time we needed to fall in love with this hotel. Everyone was so incredibly nice & helpful and everyone, especially the Valet team, went out of their way to help us and even went so far as to help our kiddos in the car and buckle them up. That made a huge impact on my husband and me. We can’t wait for our next trip & we will definitely stay more than 1 night next time.

Absolutely the most incompetent staff and worst communication and customer service I have ever experienced. A simple change was made over the phone 3! (THREE) times and did not make it into the system. Would rather stay in a tent than this hotel. Will never stay here again.

Beautiful 30 floor hotel in the heart of Houston a few blocks away from all amenities. Glass elevators going up the inside and outside of the buildings. Not for the faint hearted! The pool on the 6th floor was well maintained, warm with adequate loungers and nice towels. Pool bar on site. Einstein Brothers Bagel shop open 24hrs with great choices and quite reasonable prices. Cute little gift shop with reasonably priced items.

My wife and I stayed overnight for a last-minute getaway for my birthday. Upon noticing it was my birthday at check-in wished me a happy birthday. When we got back from dinner there was a hand-written card from Alexandria as well as some champagne. It was incredibly thoughtful and kind, and absolutely made our night. Thank you, Alexandria.

I loved the fact that you can access the downtown tunnels right from inside the hotel! Great perk! The pool was a great place to relax and catch some sun on Houston's searing hot summer days. My only real complaint was that I had to walk in the heat to catch the rail line, but a pizza bagel from Mr. Einstein's bagels was a wonderful smack for the walk.

We stayed here this past weekend for my birthday celebration with my boyfriend! First and foremost Anissa was so very helpful and accommodating, as soon as we arrived to check in she greeted us with a smile and was very welcoming, she also wished me a happy birthday, a birthday card and $30 for drinks or food at the hotel! Our room was amazing! Everything was clean and any issue we had it was resolved quickly without any hesitation! Hyatt definitely aims to please and is all about impeccable customer service! Every single person that assisted us or helped with any questions were awesome! I definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting or just doing a staycation like we did. Great customer service, Great atmosphere!

This is an Awesome place to stay. Great service and polite staff. Enjoyed it and I recommend it to anyone especially during Pride Weekend.

Too much traffic, it was gay pride weekend we had children and that was the not good. Their was a guy walking with his Male thing out in lobby. It is like a 15 minute walk to minute maid park. Shuttle took us there but we had to walk back. There aren't alot of food or stores within walking distance. Rooms are clean and spacious. The downside was that you could hear a police or fire truck every 2 to 4 hrs. Not fun when you trying to go to bed. Not for leisure mainly for business. Parking was 44.00 for one night.

Accidentally ended up in the wrong Hyatt. Actually accidentally booked the wrong Hyatt. The rooms are very small the view outside the window is not good. The beds are very small they’re not queen size I would say their full size. Our comforter had a cigarettes burn. We paid over $300 for one night. No breakfast only water and coffee was available. Apples also were available in the front desk. The front desk manager was very accommodating I was able to correct our air in booking the wrong hotel. Very kind and very good people manners. However not sure if it’s worth the price so I will not be booking there again.

Great area, rooms were terrific, atmosphere in the hotel was on point. But the irritating thing was that the valet made me drive around to another point of the hotel to drop off my car after I had just arrived after an 8 hour drive. Didn’t get a great first impression of the place.

Conveniently located hotel in Houston. Clean rooms but the Air conditioning motor, In some rooms is too noisy. About 75 decibels, equivalent to a phone ring tone. Having said all this the staff and quality of breakfast at the Shula's Steak house is caring and professional. I am Vegan but this did not stop the chef, 'Ms Autumn' in creating a tasty meal. I would like to thank the waitress Ms Alvina for her unselfish service.

Location-wise, it is situated nearly center of the city in Houston and easily accessible via public transportation. Rooms were clean and tidy with excellent hotel staff who were polite, courteous and generous. Room service was responsive and unbelievably quick. Food was generously portioned and excellent for the price. I will gladly stay again.

Place is huge. Staff very friendly and good. The rooms were kept very clean. There's also a pool open 6am till 10pm and a gym open 24/7. Rooms come with TV, ironing board, kettle and some coffee. There's also room service if you require. Some things I didn't like; the shower head is too low, it's fine if your under 5.10 ft otherwise you'll be squatting. There's complementary tea and coffee but there's no milk and the there's only one tea bag (for an Englishman this is upsetting). There's no breakfast option so you'll have to try one of the restaurants in the lobby area. Other than those small issues I had a great stay and would recommend it.

Service was great. Room was impeccable. I'm not a huge fan of the temperature control on the shower. 24-hr cafe was perfect. If you have a fear of heights, this is not the hotel for you! I thought I had conquered my fear of heights until I was given a room on the 17th floor and the only way to get there was a glass-backed elevator. One side of the elevator bank faces inward and the other faces the outside. I didn't realize the latter until I stepped into it. There accommodations were very nice, but the monumental heights stole the show.

It's a good hotel, yes you have something to do in Houston Downton, otherwise, I find there are better and more modern options for the same price, in new shopping and business centers.

High quality rooms, well spacious and very comfortable bed. The gym is well equipped The restaurants available at this hotel are of high quality. Excellent steak at Shula steak house. Very pleasant stay.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. I did have a bit of a weird situation though. I was taking a quick nap with the "do not disturb" sign on the door. I thought I may have heard a knock at the door but I was out of it. Then I hear housekeeping open the door and announce themselves. For some reason, I actually had the hinge lock engaged, so she just left and I went back to sleep. It was odd that housekeeping still tried coming in with the "do not disturb" sign on the door.

There is no free food, but the bathrooms are big and the building is very nice.

Hotel has been awesome! Flashlights & ear plugs in the room (can't imagine why :) ) but the food has been lacking. I have done room service and tonight was the worst meal. Steak which had NO flavor, rice pilaf which had NO seasonings, but the salad was good as it was fresh and had the dressing I asked for. Meals at the conference were good but I wonder why we never had a salad with any meal. Hmm?

Although they said I would be in a non smoking room, the room smelled like smoke. I had to move twice. They quickly accommodated my needs and requests. The staff and bellman was very friendly and cordial.

Great stay with wonderful accomodating staff. They found us a high floor room away from the elevator and our stay was quiet/comfortable. Pillows were too soft for my comfort but rest of the room was very nice. Workout facilities are nice/clean with towels and water available. Easy access to parking structure next door for self-parking.

This is my favorite hotel in downtown Houston. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. I love the breakfast buffet that they have at Shula’s. With tax it’s about $23 which considering that a bagel and breakfast sandwich at Einstein’s is about 10 I think that’s pretty reasonable. They usually have about three different free newspapers.

Everyone from the front desk to the bellhop to the valet service was amazing. Everyone was able to help us with everything we needed and I couldn't be more pleased. The rooms were clean. Hospitality was quick on bringing us towels if we needed them. I will definitely be staying here the next time I visit Houston.

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was huge, elegant and clean. We had a great view of the buildings downtown. Our wine was delivered at the time we requested it. Sleeping in rose petals were a plus.

The place is very big and nice! The employees are amazing with kids, they give a lot of complementaries and awesome. And When you get 2 room one size can be for the adults and for the kids. Very Spacious. Delicious foods. 5 stars.

The rooms were comfortable, and ease of checking in and out were nice. Unlike most hotels the Hyatt regency has updated the rooms to accommodate modern technology. Plenty of outlets and USB charging docks. While this may not seem like a big deal to many, being on a business trip with many devices to charge it is greatly appreciated.

We have stayed at this Hyatt Regency for several years as my husband works Downtown Houston area! Always a very pleasant and welcoming stay! Ok This past weekend we had to make and additional add on to our original booking due to a family emergency. My daughter in law’s mother was placed on a ventilator due to pneumonia and also several other serious complications and was in ICU Methodist Hospital Houston. So this required her and I staying to be at Hospital. The front desk personnel is always so friendly and personable and we had mentioned the reason of having to book earlier than expected. They were extremely concerned and offered to do and help us anyway they could. I was impressed at their thoughtfulness. After checking in we received a phone call from front desk that the hotel wanted to send flowers to show their concern for her! We received flowers today and they are beautiful Pink Roses. I must say never ever have I seen a hotel show concern other than voicing sympathy in such a special way! I’ve been in Hotels all other the US and world wide and this is a first! I just wanted to post this and say thank you to Hyatt Regency Downtown Houston, Tx. You really are exceptional!

Location: 5/5 Comfy: 5/5 Staffs: 5/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 They have shuttles to Randall supermarket three times daily. Bus rolling to Randall at 9am, 11am, 7pm and pick up at 10am, 12am, 8pm. I think they have shuttles to galleria too. And there is a grab-and-go shop called Einstein open 24/7, salads, coffee and stuffs. Elevators are pretty fast and they have like 6-8. I don’t have to wait for elevators that long. TV program in room has a lot of channel. In-room-service is nice, they tell you right away how long it’s going to take for the order.

Friendly staff, we booked a room for our wedding night and called a couple days ahead of time to see if early check in was an option. The gentleman who helped us was very friendly and accommodating. Very nice, spacious room, my husband asked for some finishing touches for the room when we arrived and for a nominal fee they left Champagne, strawberries and rose petals. We weren't there for a long stay but for the time we were everything was great!

Great location. However, please note. Because at 11am if I wanted to check in early was a 29$ charge. I have over 5 times I schedule with Hyatt. My company represents between 400 and 700 guests. This will not continue. Vince, Drew were wonderful in storing my luggage prior to 3 pm check in.

We went Hyatt Regency Houston for the 2017 new years eve party and we really enjoyed it. I got the revolution package which includes dinner at the Spindletop, dessert lounge, and overnight accommodation. Parking was not included and the hotel only provides valet parking on their premises for 40 bucks but you can take your car out and valet it any time within the same night. The rooms were pretty nice as they have been remodeled recently but had a slightly outdated touch to them as the hotel itself was build a while ago. The only problem I had with the room was that the water in the shower never really got up to a comfortable level of hot, but other than that my wife and I enjoyed the party and the stay.

Everyone nice and helpful. Everything was clean. Our room didn't get cleaned the next morning, so I assume you have to request them to clean your room? That's why only 4 stars.

We had our annual GALA. Valets were very courteous and helpful to our elderly. The staff we encountered seemed happy to assist us. The food was marvelous, serving staff GREAT. ACOUSTICS were spot on. We had a great time. Getting out was easy no long wait for our vehicles directions were given to anyone who needed them A GREAT EXPERIENCE. I would recommend the Hyatt.

Had an enjoyable stay while I was at a conference for two days. The room was clean, the pillows and bed were comfy, and the view from the room was pretty nice. The elevators were also very efficient with minimal wait or stopping to pickup additional passengers. Service at the front desk was professional, and I even got a little bag of Christmas candy!

Hotel is nice, tidy and clean. Starbucks coffee maker in your room, nice amenities. Breakfast is good, you can choose between a la cart or buffet (Omelette is amazing). Open pool and nice gym. At lobby level you can find restaurant, bar lounge and Starbucks coffee shop which they make an amazing delicious bagel with lots of varieties. Stuff are helpful, and concierge guy was great in giving us directions.

From this hotel I met the Spindleton restaurant, which I loved. It is a unique experience as it is the only restaurant in Houston that gives you a 360 degree view. You're turning around as you're watching the city. It's wonderful, we were my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary and it was very special, very romantic.

The hotel is really nice, the staff is very professional and helpful and they are also very secure on the property. I deliver food here regularly but they won't allow non guests/visitors to go beyond the lobby so any patron can rest assured that people are safe here. The area is close to baby different places and transportation is readily available all around.

As the travel agent that worked behind the scenes at the Teach Your Heart Out Con, I must say, your staff is top notch! Elizabeth Garcia was an absolute pleasure to work with! Anything we needed, she was able to make it happen and all with a smile! From the valet personnel, to the front desk staff and the staff members I passed in the hallways, all friendly and ready to assist. I would recommend this hotel for conferences, girl trips, family trips or as a place to stay for solo travellers.

Had a great stay. Good breakfast in the morning, perfect central downtown location. Great shower, extra large TV in room. Quiet room nice pool, decent fitness room that is 24hr. I would choose to stay here again.

Every time I visit the spindle top the dinning room nearly is empty, Scheduling my birthday I was told that 10 people was too much, but that they would make an exception. That evening two family members flew in from deployment as a surprise. The waiter made it seem as if it was such an inconvenience for him and really set for an uncomfortable mood for my guest. I was quite frustrated, especially considering that the attitude given was out of line considering how dead the restaurant was that evening. Last week, I thought I'd give them a second chance. When scheduling a going away dinner, I was told that the restaurant has a policy for only two parties a night of 5 people or more. I decided to visit the restaurant that night and just like I thought, it was near empty. This is absolutely ludicrous! How does a "business" turn away patrons when their establishment is empty? I've been in retail management and in the hospitality industry for many years and this show a tremendous lack in management skills… maybe there's a reason why the restaurant lacks in attendance, overtime I visit.

Hospitable staff, including the bar staff. Great room service options-Einstein bagels was a lifesaver! Clean rooms, large room (stayed in a King), not too noisy, big TV, comfortable bed, great fluffy pillows, free bottled water, hot shower. A/C didnt seem to work at night but finally kicked on in the a. M. Didnt use the outdoor pool but looked clean and enjoyable with plenty of lounge chairs. Overall I recommend and would definitely stay again.

The staff are great, the rooms clean and well appointed. Breakfast buffet is nice, however I do order off the menu for the Southwestern Eggs Benedict. It is fantastic. Nightly recommend this hotel.

This is a really cool hotel. It's a high rise with a hollow inside so you can look all the way up from the lobby and all the way down from your floor. There's a restaurant at the top with a great view of the city. I suggest you park in a different lot than the one the hotel has to save some money.

Miss Shaw was wonderful. We had a very nice stay. The employees were very nice and welcoming. My son Alexander wanted to thank Miss Shaw personally for making him feel special on his birthday. My husband and I went to dinner at the Spindletop restaurant. It was very romantic. Beautiful atmosphere, amazing view (better after dark), wonderful, attentive staff. Parking was easy and the garage led right into the building we needed. Service was AMAZING! I will definitely be returning!

Stay was mediocre, came here for a convention and association posted group rate prices for rooms/parking. Price paid per room was pretty much for location, and that didn't include all the occupancy taxes added at the end. Wasn't impressed with the rooms; AC didn't cool the room, continuously had to keep adjusting to cool off during the hot summer weather, really small mini fridge and no microwave, the beds are really noisy and small, and the pillows are so flat and uncomfortable. Housekeeping and guest services was great, got us everything we needed when asked. Parking was extremely expensive even when staying there, thought we were getting a discounted rate with the convention but they didn't acknowledge that said that it was an error, it was priced at pretty much $40 per night with the additional taxes and fees. The attendants were courteous though, especially Travis and Trey. Didn't eat at any of the restaurants in the hotel, did check out Einstein and they're open 24 hours, and is the only place to microwave your food. Lots of local places to eat, check the hours though because many close early than expected. Pool was decent, small for a 30 floor hotel but nevertheless one was there.

We stayed here over the weekend. Highly impressed. I am a Hyatt rewards member and stay at many Hyatts. This Hyatt could easily be a Grand Hyatt. Very nice hotel. Large rooms with very comfortable beds. I cannot recommend this hotel enough based on price, location and comfort.

The bar/restraunt was good! The service was average, the food was great, and it had a nice ambiance. Only thing was that it was the weekend so it was packed with people and I couldn't hear what my boyfriend was saying even though I was sitting right next to him.

If you are going to stay downtown this is the place. Very high end with bar area and restaurant (Shula's). If you are wanting to stay at a nice place look no further. Right in the thick of downtown but not painful to get to and park (valet).

Go inside and look up in the lobby, take the elevator marked for the spindle top by pushing the button for spindle top but get off at the top floor and go look over the edge down at the lobby… It's really freakin cool.

So the hotel is great. The room is beauiful. The employees are reallynice and helpful. I had a great time here.

Very spacious rooms in this hotel, the reception staff are friendly and alert to needs, the Wi-Fi is complimentary in the lobby and rooms, and the best part… the Einstein Bros bagel cafe is open 24hours.

Rudeness shown at its best by the staff. Specially at the breakfast restaurant. Went alone for breakfast and was literally stopped from choosing my own place to sit. No tables were reserved for any guests. I was pointed towards a table for four by the waitress and when I asked if I can sit on the table next to it which was exactly the same I got a reply "no thats not the same this is your table"and she turned and walked away while whispering "you're an idiot" which I heard very clearly and even the guy sitting on an adjoining table as I can see his rection after hearing that tone. The experience was very humiliating and embarrassing. If you would prefer to wake up to such experiences, please go ahead and book the hotel.

Even though it is kid of in the city center, it is impossible to get anywhere without a car. Nice big rooms and incredible big lobby. I guess its true what they say. Everything is a little bigger in Texas.

The hotel is great… Simple safe decor. Nice location, good staff. Comfortable mattress but kind of flat pillows and I'm not sure the King was a true king size. The only downside is the parking price.

The hotel was very nice and spacious. The ballrooms and conference rooms provided perfect amenities to hold the event I was attending.

Not all of our rooms were ready when we arrived, which was a bit frustrating. It took about an hour to sort it all out, but everything else was fantastic. Nice rooms, a good view, great staff, and a beautiful hotel.

I stayed under a room block with a great price, so I can't say anything bad about that. The Wi-Fi is great, the rooms are great and clean. Service at the desk is top notch! The bagel place is good, but I hadn't had a chance to try the downstairs restaurant. However, if you plan on parking at the hotel, the you will get charged for Valet, and neither the Valet or the front desk will tell you there is a charge for EACH night you stay, even if you don't use your car that night. I was surprised by this when I had to pay the difference after room + $50 deposit when I arrived. I was just too tired and surprised to argue about it, thinking I may have missed the sign outside, but there is NO sign stating the valet charge.

I often eat at schula's when I have guests staying at the hyatt. I like the food. The staff is very nice and polite. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good steak dinner.

Great place & great service. But had a problem with no water in shower on morning of business event. They sent engineer quickly but (upon further prompting) got me into a vacant room to use that shower which allowed me to be clean and on time for event.

Visited on 12-31-15 (NEW YEARS EVE) DO NOT COME HERE FOR NEW YEARS Worst place for New Year's Eve I was told no less than 6 times my wife and I would be able to dance during the Roger Creager concert We could not! The bars had only a few types of liquor nothing we wanted to drink was told they were full bars all over the hotel The elevators took so long we had to take the stairs When we arrived the room keys didn't work (20 min to get fixed) The gentleman that had our luggage said I will be right there however it took 40 min to get our stuff Tried to explain all this to no avail Manager was no help Come here at your own risk.

Nice rooms beds and meeting space, good food in restaurants, but concierge group are not friendly folks. There was 3 standing around Monday evening and acted like I was disturbing them when I asked a simple question. I'll NOT ask again. Rude and uncalled for.

Nice hotel, but once in room, 18 th floor the street noise filters all the way up. The windows noise suppression is not good enough for a hotel of this caliber. If your a light sleeper. Errr.

Prices were steep but service was worth it. Also, the server at the lobby bars are very nice and helpful. The option to have breakfast at the bagel shop is nice and convenient.

Stayed over Labor Day Weekend. Super Clean (could smell the bleach on the bed sheets), Bagel shop nice touch has everything you may need. Love the elevators where you could see the city from. Swimming pool was nice and lights up at night. Could walk anywhere in the city pretty much. Has a free shuttle to take you anywhere you may want to go. Staff excellent, very nice. Cons; You must pay for most of the TV channels besides local channels Downtown and Valet Parking expenisive. Around 32 a night. Loud, they give you complementary ear plugs.

Overall, it's a well run, clean, and comfortable business hotel, not for families though. Our rate was good, but I think over $200 would be too much.

So I'm a devoted Kimpton girl and looked forward to experiencing the Hyatt Regency Houston erstellen. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed for a remodel, but the hotel staff (hi Gretchen! ) and the overall accommodations more than made up for the inconvenience. The floor was quiet and my room was clean and plenty spacious. I also had a lovely view of State street and enjoyed watching the snow flutter down from the warmth of my room. I am a devoted stair climber and thought the staircase was truly beautiful and safe for me to fulfill my daily cardio quota without worrying about my personal safety. Also loved watching the lights come on in the adjacent buildings. A truly Houston moment.

Good hotel. Clean and comfortable. Parking is inconvenient as they don't allow in and out privileges unless you pay $32 for valet parking. Luckily close by at 1100 Smith Garage parking is much cheaper $5 and it is right across the street from the Hyatt. We had a few issues with the room which the staff took care of promptly.

Staff are nice for americans. But house keeping. Is not that good.

Nice hotel, but slow service and weak water pressure. And 60 minutes for checkout.

We had a wonderful time at the Hyatt Regency. The room, restaurant and room service was superb! However, we will "never" use the valet service again. It was horrible. My vehicle was damaged with paint transfer in the hands of valet service. If you ever use the valet at the Hyatt, please survey your vehicle upon arrival and they will do and say anything to keep from taking responsibility for their service.

Great Place, Great Atmosphere. Clean and Spacious Room and Bathroom. Definitely would stay there again.

The best staycation location! everything is in walking distance. U of T players are here for their bowl game! Wife is a U of T grad. Thus guy is getting lucky on the 30th floor! I'm out.

It's a well-maintained, modern hotel with great rooms. Nearby public parking that is in a garage and reasonably priced is a really appreciated option. The pool on the sixth floor is a nice touch, as is the bagel shop in the lobby. Every single staff person we encountered was really, really nice. And we were part of a girls soccer team staying there. (Yes, we are very strict about our girls behaving themselves, but I know it has to be wearing on staff: their patience and kindness was amazing. ).

I stayed at this Hyatt during a visit to a local music festival. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and they had a nice-sized hotel bar. The hotel is also located downtown within a few blocks of several restaurants and bars.

They Hyatt is actually a really awesome hotel. They have a great steakhouse there (Shula's) that serves up prime cuts of beef daily, the Einstein Bros always hits the spot for quick snacks and breakfast items, they're connected to the infamous tunnel system downtown (please explore but don't get lost! ) and they have pretty good happy hour specials at their main bar. The pool is a cool place to hang out with friends too, just ask the bar for a to-go cup and take it up to the pool for some R&R.

Fantastic hotel with a staff that will help you in any situation. The rooms are top of the line with a pleasing color scheme. Beds and pillows are excellent. You will fall asleep in seconds. I've only had rooms in the west side of the building. The views outside the windows are great. Parking is $25 a night, but you can park overnight for $7 up the block in an outside parking lot. Or on the street on the north east side if you purchase the city park hopper pass for your vehicle. The pool it's on the roof and the one time I've been there was well kept. Staff watch the pool to make sure things are always stocked and kept in order. The pool is also handicap accessible. Eating on a budget at night can only be done at the bagel restaurant in the hotel itself. If you can afford this hotel, it is worth the money. You will not be disappointed.
