During my last visit I felt I was at home with my friends. Great pub and friendly staff. 5 ⭐️

Had a great anniversary party. The team could not have done anymore for you they went over and above what we expected. The buffet was also amazing. The DJ also played our required tunes and catered for the audience. I would definitely recommend this venue ❤️

Had a wake here today for a family friend 5 star Livingston lodge hotel food was brilliant and price was great staff were brilliant would recommend to everyone ❤️❤️❤️xxxx.

We had our baby boys christening party in the function suite last weekend and we would highly recommend this venue to anyone.
The staff were so helpful, especially Laura who continuously checked with us throughout the day to make sure everything was going to plan. Nothing we asked for was too much.
Everyone commented on how good the buffet was too. A perfect day.

Had my sister in laws baby shower here yesterday it was amazing great size hall, place was all set up nicely for the baby shower staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble buffet was great mummy to be was delighted thanks so much to all the staff for all you have done since booking.

Staff were lovely couldn't fault that, but got into our room when they say it's a basic room it literally is, had stains on the pillows, the telly didn't work, you had to angle funny to shut the door in the bathroom, had people screaming and shouting outside the window at half 1 in the morning, the cups were 2-3 mouthfuls big, I wouldn't say it was worth the £50 we paid but staff were very inviting and friendly.

Nice Room really comfy beds and great breakfast freshly cooked for you Only negative comment was rooms very close to the bar with Live Music so was a bit noisy.

Had a family function in the Hotel recently and must say the staff were fantastic. From the first enquiry right through they were alway on hand to help and ensure we had a fantastic night. We had booked a meal in Oscars Bar & Grill before the party and again service was excellent, food & cocktails fantastic. Would recommend the Hotel & the Bar & Grill. We will certainly use for future events.

Staff are first class. But don't expect any sleep due to locals using the bar until 1am. The staff were the only glimmer of hope for the place. They can't do enough for you.

The Staff were woundaful upon check in, really couldn't do enough for me. Room is exactly as advertised. And very clean. Would definitely book again. Thank you.

Room was nice with a decent sized bathroom. Loads of parking spaces. Hotel itself was a bit 'different'. Breakfast is served in the function room and manned by just one lady (rushed off her feet). Feels like a bar/function venue with a hotel bolted on the side. Hotel room & bathroom much cleaner than I expected.

Stayed here for four nights, can’t fault a thing. Rooms where clean, modern with a clean ensuite and comfy beds. All the staff where fantastic — from the minute we arrived giving the kids the Wi-Fi code and storing my sons yogurts in their fridge for his medication, giving us extra blankets and even a plug in radiator incase the kids where cold through the night of the snow, catering to our dietary preferences (again my son who’s quite particular with food) and even taking the time to speak to us in the morning and giving us great advice on things to do while on holiday. The breakfast is definitely the best we’ve had — piping hot and well cooked and not to mention plenty of it! Special mention to the breakfast chef who went out of his way every morning for us, even making up a sandwich for the kids as he knew we where traveling back to Northern Ireland that day. It’s little things like this that show how great the staff and hotel are! Family friendly. We are already organising our next trip with a definite stay at the Livingston Lodge Hotel without a doubt. The room has modern furniture and is basic. Cheap for business stop overs (no frills). The bar and Chinese restaurant attached to the hotel are great.

Was only here for a function, room was small and reasonably squashed with limited dance space and very hard to move around if disabled, toilet doors almost touching your legs in the ladies and only 1 disabled facility. Entertainment was fabulous and the prices were better than reasonable and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. Not being from the area we were shocked at the behaviour of others attending the pub/restaurant area and the language that was belong used even by staff asking them to vocate the area. The outdoor ramp is hazardous for wheelchairs and terribly steep, especially if icy or snowing. I think it is in need of outdoor improvements and the toilets to give more moving around room, although the decor within the function area was beautiful.

Very clean and comfortable hotel, serving a good breakfast, large car park… and on-site chinese restaurant… which was an added bonus. If you are looking for a well priced, clean hotel… in central Livingston… then this is a very sound choice… no complaints whatsoever.

We where put in a small Room, very dirty and a mess. One of the assistants offered to move us in to another Room, which we did, better room. Breakfast was cold. Will not be going again.

Good value simple hotel with a good bed and shower. Theres a Chinese restaurant on premises as well.

I was going into Hospital the next day so to save a long journey we booked into here and the weather turned very bad with heavey snow. So on our arrival at the reception we were greated by a fantastic women who helped to relax myself and my very stressed Hubby. The room was brilliant clean new and with everything we would need for our stay. Price is absolutely worth it and good. If I could I would give more than 5 stars So if you are ever having to attend St John's and have a bit of a travel I would recommend you stat here. Mrs Dinning.

Good to stop for a cuppa as I don't drink.

Used to come here a lot when visiting family in Ladywell just along from the hotel. Found it to be in a great location close to M8 and town center. But must say preferred it when it was D Luxe also known as devincies and was a lot friendlier and cheaper cant believe the prices now as when I was going here it was far from a 5* but had everything you needed was very comfy and clean and was less than half the price of what it is now. Old prices were great for what was provided.

Nice quiet place, despite the on site pub. Rooms very well priced.

First impression of the hotel aren't great, there was no one at the desk and had to wait for someone from the bar to check me in. The room was clean ish although the glasses and cups in the bathroom were dirty. The mattress was wrecked, it was like sleeping on a bowl of jelly filled with springs! The food. Well it stopped me from feeling hungry but was pretty dire. Clearly tinned mushrooms and tomatoes and ingredients done as cheap as possible.

Stayed here last Saturday. Good room and facilities. The guy on reception was spot on. Took us to the room and showed us what we needed to know. There was a wedding going on in the main building but we hardly heard a noise from it or the car park. Well worth a stay if you need a room in the area.

A very meh hotel. Not the worst place​ I've stayed in but not the best by far. It had a terrible mattress, one that you could feed every spring! Along with near non exsisant pillows. It feels like that tried to spruce the place up with new carpets and furniture but I felt it was still lacking. We could hear everything above us, which wasn't pleasant. The door didn't have a auto locking hatch. The handle to flush the toilet had broken and was handing off the wall. The sliding doors for the wardrobe didn't fit the gap. When we first arrived it didn't leave a great first impression as we weren't greeted with a grand reception rather a little table round the corner which wasn't complete obvious to find. On site there was a attached pub that played loud music till late and brought the feel of the hotel down to even less of friendly environment and felt less approachable. However there are some positives. The lass at reception seemed nice enough and saw us to the door of the room (good job because there was no chance of us finding it). The room was relatively clean. Wi-Fi was free and quite fast (30mps). There was plenty of parking. And it was a 10 Mon walk to the train station which was a 25 min ride to Edinburgh. Would I stay here again … probably not, for the price.

I would like to leave a nice review of this hotel but I really can't. The room was clean, but in dire need of a refurb with cracked tiles in the bathroom and a leaky shower sitting loose on the wall. The entire room needed repainting as well as looked pretty shoddy. As stated though the room was clean, and there were no obvious build ups of dirt anywhere. I am giving 1 star as not only was everything a bit worn but their is no noise insulation in the hotel and as such I got a horrendous night's sleep with loud guests and slamming doors keeping me up for most of the night.

Bar staff lovely. Room too cluttered & toilet kept wakening me up. Smells realy bad in corridor of the chinese down below. Overall ok.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Close to train station — a 20 minute ride into Edinburgh. Clean rooms, breakfast included to start your day. Book top floor room as ground floor has poor sound insulation in ceiling.
