I think $32 per night for leaving my car in there own parking lot is too much and I didn't like having to use the valet service every time and never knowing where my car was.

The good service, very clean, nice surrounding area.

The front desk crew was very helpful and very professional! The rooms were clean and everything was in walking distance.

Great room and clean. Definitely recommended.

Didn't get to spend much time there due to ask the activity over the weekend but it was nice to pamper myself compared to three usual motel 6 stays.

The Room was clean nice area not far from the police station and close to Toyota Center.

2nd time staying there, love it, bed is so freaking comfy, I miss it! breakfast is good too.

Had a great time at the SpringHill Suites, the rooms were spacious and the downtown location was definitely ideal. I stayed to see the Astros play baseball and the walk was only about 15 minutes or so from the hotel, rather scenic walk too. Plenty of food nearby and the pool was very nice as well. Definitely a recommendation.

Best birthday experience! I celebrated my 21st birthday in Downtown Houston and SpringHill Suites, especially the concierges Maurnese and Camryn, made me feel so special! I mentioned my birthday at check in, where my friend and I both received two small bottles of Chardonnay. A few minutes after heading to the room, we were treated with a card and some chocolate! A few minutes after that, we were given a (very delicious) cake! The staff there definitely went above and beyond to make my birthday special. Thank you!

The room was large and well kept. We stayed in a double queen room. The staff was nice and the hotel was well kept. However I would avoid the on site valet parking as we attempted to retrieve the car at checkout time to leave and we're met with an hour long wait for our vehicle to be pulled from the garage. I would highly recommend the hotel, however, I would suggest parking in one of the public parking lots within a 3 minute walk.

With clean rooms and a friendly staff, these Springhill Suites were a great place to stay for business or pleasure. The breakfast was great for a grab and go and the updated rooms catered to a relaxing experience with a great nights sleep.

The room was clean. However, the hotel was not up to Marriott standards. The floor I was on desperately needed to be vacuumed amd on the 3rd day I finally reported it to the front desk. The elevators were slow and sounded like they'd fail at any moment. On top of that they seems to always smell (I assume they lacked proper ventilation). The breakfast was minimal and lacked variety from day to day. Having stayed in both, I would highly recommend the Residence Inn over SpringHill (they occupy the same building and The Residence is actually cheaper, has a better breakfast spread, and common spaces are much cleaner. )

First thing first… BEAUTIFUL room. 2 queen size beds, lovely bathroom, mini living room area, 2 TVs, and even a microwave in the room. I said all that because this room is a STUDIO! Lovely My stay was horrible! I am an Marriott employee so I know the events that took place are not acceptable
Valet was extremely rude from the time we pulled in til the time we pulled out. They could not find the car. I waited about 45 min for my car until I was told I had to walk to find my own car. Oh yea, it's $32 plus tax by the way for valet, which served no purpose! Then the valet caught an attitude when I expressed “I will not be paying for the services I didn’t receive and he responded by saying " ain't my money" lol
I also came to purchase an item for the market and asked if I could use my discount and the night auditor told me I could not use my discount because it may have been an franchise… before she even looked into my profile.
Housekeeping was very prompt I requested for towels and received them in less than 10 minutes even though they were the right towels. One thing I did not like was the fact that housekeeping went around beating on doors before it was even 11am I’m assuming they wanted us out but why so early when check out is 12. What if someone had requested an later check out and you’re going on around banging on doors disturbing guests sleep.

The rooms are nice for the price! Always clean with good suite type options. The staff are friendly and will allow you to change your room until you find the perfect fit. Breakfast here is more than you can ask for. Not only is it good but you have lots of options including Texas shaped waffles. You get pool, gym, and laundry access which makes this place one Heck of a bang for your buck.

Nice place, clean room and a decent breakfast. Quiet even tho' we were next to the breakfast room. Nice to have a fridge and micro wave in the room. Only downside was no in room safe.

We were in town for a conference and we were so pleased with the accommodations! Laverne was wonderfully friendly, informative and personable. Thank you all for making or stay enjoyable and memorable. We recommend anyone to book here.

They've done a great job here of utilizing an old building with tight space. The one star missing here is sadly just for the discomforts inherent in the things they can't entirely help without compromising their airy, hip ambiance — BUT — there are true downsides and you should be aware of them before booking here, especially if you're a family looking for a suite. 1) The bathrooms are directly across from the beds, accessed via large barn-style sliding door, and there is a giant top to bottom panel of opaque glass in that door.

KARLA Karla Karla. Is why I will never stay at this Hotel. She is rude and condescending. All because I had sweatpants on. She said to head of security I've had to ask him to leave twice and said no ma'am Mis KARLA you did not have to ask me to leave once, both times I was already on my way out the front door. You just wear unnecessarily rude in the process. My mistake was I stopped at the gift shop to buy something and that's whenever she was rude to me I'll never go to this hotel again Karla is the worst employee of the month if I were the owner of any establishment that she would not be the impression I would like to leave on anyone including people who are not staying and just visiting the hotel.

It was a comfy stay and wasn't too bad. Minus 2 stars because I found a silverfish, the privacy deadbolt didn't work, and the room had a motion detector on the thermostat, so when you're not in the room or when you fall asleep the air conditioner turns off. It doesn't get too uncomfortable when you're gone or asleep, but it's definitely not ideal.

I really, really dislike this place. It's not horrible; it's just horrible for the price. Maybe it's cheaper on the weekends? I don't know. Either way, I don't stay here because I want to, I stay here because I have to when my preferred hotels are booked up or gouging from a local event. To explain my perspective, when I'm in Houston, I'm usually a business traveler and I generally use my hotel room to sleep and shower in (and to this end this hotel does suffice) — — not for wor…king, relaxing, what have you, and if I were looking for a good hotel for working or relaxing, this would not be it, which is why I find it off-putting. Maybe I'm not the target audience/demographic. I don't know. It's apparently in an old historic building that probably should have either been torn down or taken over and remodeled by a higher-end brand that would've spent the cash and done a better job. The building itself feels old and run-down, even though the Marriott hotels apparently aren't that old. The elevators make a lot of noise and pieces of trim in the hallways are frequently missing. The rooms are pretty standard as far as SpringHill Suites decor, but they get very hot in the warmer months from inadequate AC. The windows are thin and drafty and the place is usually noisy (one time my room's window was cracked across one side). If you're on the outside you'll hear city/street noise, especially at lower floors.

This hotel looks new and inviting. Great concept 3 Marriott brands under one roof. What could be better but a downtown location and close to everything.

Amazing hotel, loved the view and all the felicities they offered. I mostly loved the price! Perfect place if you're staying in Texas.

I was here for business and I enjoyed a pleasant stay. The staff was very personable & courteous. The room was clean & was setup in a way that allowed me & my roommate to work comfortably. There were 2 fitness room options. I used Courtyard's fitness room which had a great selection of machines. Shopping was across the street & there were nice restaurant options in the area.

Consistent. Clean, new rooms. Not fancy, but fine. Friendly staff. Rooms set up nicely for business travelers.

Everything perfect and the breakfast was good but the parking IS NOT FREE they charge $ 30 per night.

Stayed here one weekend in November. The rooms are nice. The people at the front desk weren't particularly helpful with their recommendations… Maybe we were miscommunication, but they kept trying to recommend chain restaurants when I wanted a more authentic Houston place. The best part of breakfast is the Texas shaped waffles.

Only place in town that accommodated our need of 3 beds. Walking distance to the House of Blues and plenty of nice restaurants. Great free breakfast. Everyone working there was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Bathroom doesn't have a lock, but that's not a big deal.

Very clean. Love the place. Staff will assist in anyway they can. Very quiet. Everything was great overall from the staff to the breakfast foods.

So here's the deal. This hotel isn't horrible, and because it's all suites, you'll get a relatively large room regardless of what you book. The problem, here, is that for the price, you can generally get something much nicer and more comfortable than this place. I don't stay here because I want to; I stay here because I have to. In this case, the other hotels in the area seem to be booked up due to a large conference or something and the ones with availability have generally high prices. I like Marriott, but you can do much better in this price range. This is the last chance I'm giving this place. I'm out.

It is perfectly situated for nightlife, dinner abd shopping. The staff was genuinely nice and very helpful. Family friendly comfortable rooms.

Hotel was good. However, I had issues with the billing. First they charged me for valet even though I didn't have a car. That got resolved. Next, I emailed them a tax exempt form and I haven't heard back from them yet. I called them, emailed them and faxed them. I haven't heard back from them yet. Pretty disappointed! I will never go back to any Springhill suites again.

Amazing location and the service was fantastic! Best front desk staff I've ever seen. Also the location to down town is great, just blocks from Toyota center.

Room got upgraded. Pretty spacious. Study desk and chair in room. Sofa (comfortable enough to sleep on). Small fridge, microwave, coffee maker.

Located just near the city center, perfect location. The hotel is clean and provides great hospitality. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel provides facilities like fitness center, rooftop pool, business center and meeting space. The rooftop pool of was a great place to relax. It includes free high speed internet and free breakfast. The breakfast was suitable. Overall experience was pleasant. I'll recommend it.

I think I may have left a few items in the hotel room, I have called lost and found directed to housekeeping about 7 times already within the past month. I am extremely frustrated since I work 8-4pm daily. The house keeping manager supposedly leaves at 4pm. I call before 4pm and he is never there. I've left voice messages and they never get returned either. Before this I was enthused to return. Due to their inability to contact their guest I don't think I would ever want to stay here again, or recommend anyone to stay here. Possibly if they have great deals, but if you do stay here don't expect to have them return your calls, or get through to anyone you want to speak to. Every time I call, I ask to get transferred to housekeeping for lost and found, they ask what room, and what did I leave, (I went through this multiple time by the way), then I get placed on hold and some times they forget I'm on hold. Then I stay on hold for 8 minutes or so. Then forget I'm waiting so I call again.

Great location, room was clean and new and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The only complain though is that they do not have their own parking garage for self parking so you are forced to use their valet system or park on the street.

Has to be the best place I've stayed ever. We stayed in the Studio room. It's big enough for five people. The complimentary breakfast provided was very good.

The location is great, and staff is nice enough. When we got there, only one valet attendant was working, and it took us about 30 minutes to get our car taken for valet. The valet guy was also pretty rude, but I'm betting he was just having a rough time due to being the only one on duty. This was at about 9 o clock on a saturday, so it wasn't even in the middle of the night where I'd expect there to be less staff, and there was a good line of cars. Rooms aren't the nicest, but they are big and a good price for what they are. Definitely would go back if the price is right.

Great service. The hotel staff was wonderful. They had no problems servicing our room and or helping arrange transportation etc. I really enjoyed my stay. There's no place like home, but the Spring Hill is a comfortable second.

The room here is great. The breakfast bar was above what I expected. The staff that I've talked to are all very friendly and nice. Good place. I'll definitely stay here again.

Location was great for FPSF, just walk down the street and you're there. Rooms are super nice and very updated including bathroom. There was a nice pool. All the staff was super friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

The room is clean and enviting. Small for a family of four. Valet parking is too expensive and the valet parking service is very disorganized.

The service was excellent. Everyone was very polite and eager to help even when we were confused. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was excellent. Will definitely plan to stay here again!

Nice hotel for the price, if a bit cramped. Well appointed rooms and good breakfast.

The rooms are spacious and very nice and very clean — it is an odd set up though. The only thing I don't like about the room is how the bathroom door is an opaque sheet of glass so if one person gets up early and is using the bathroom, the light shines into the rest of the room. The free breakfast spread is very good and has lots of options (also wins the best hotel scrambled eggs contest). The staff are nice and friendly. The parking situation is terrible. It took 20 to 30 minutes to retrieve our car each time we wanted to leave. We found out that the valet attendants don't keep track of the vehicles by actually parking them in the slot on your ticket, they click the button wandering through all four floors of the garage until they hear the car.

Was surprised at how nice our room was. When we visited, there was a lot of construction right outside and it felt a little disruptive. Parking is not cheap at $30 per night.

Springhill Suites by Marriott is always near the top of our list for the cleanliness, great service, amenities, and even interior design. Springhill Suites in Downtown Houston is excellent because of all the aforementioned reasons as well as the great location. Barring any decline in maintenance or management, this will probably be our default hotel every time we have to stay in Houston from this point forward.

Centrally located in the downtown area. Very accessible for business travelers. The downtown area is a ghost town past 6-7 pm. Parking fees are excessive.

Exceptional service! The staff is extremely professional as well as pleasant and helpful! 5 stars alone for them. Michael is very welcoming. The hotel and rooms are beautiful and well kept. Great location for downtown and easy access to the train. I will definitely stay here for my next trip to Houston.
