The refrigerator seemed cool on the outside and I thought it was working. It was plugged in. I put something in it. The day I left, I took it out. It was frozen blue cooling blocks for pills. It was not cool and totally liquid. // The television set in the fall was turned to "off" on power but it repeatedly came on to a grey screen putting light into the room. It was like having an alien presence. // I have arthritis but I was given a room upstairs in a hotel with no elevator. When I walked upstairs, it tore at a tendon in my right knee. // Finally, on the evening of the third night of my paid for stay, the room cards wouldn't work and I had to go down and repeat climb the stairs hurting my knee. I had a decent time sleeping but I thought the situation was poorly outfitted.

First room I was given, opened the door and it was absolutely disgusting. Rose petals on both bed, both unmade, trash and beer on the table. Went to the front desk reported the condition of the room. Was given another room, upon entering that room, it appeared to be clean until I pulled the sheets back on the bed only to discover hair. Completely unacceptable. Went and spoke the front desk and requested a refund, Evie called the manager and approved the refund. As of now, I have yet to see the refund hit my account, motel 6 sure was quick to charge $500 on my card for not even staying. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rooms were clean, but small. Everything working properly. Housekeeping stopped by everyday of our 4 day stay to see if we wanted them to clean or needed towels… The entire staff was friendly, helpful. Our stay was great. The only reason I gave 4 stars, is there is no mini fridge, or microwave in the rooms. Water pressure was non existent. But those things are minor in my opinion. We made do with our cooler and a small hot plate for heating water for coffee and canned foods for the kids. Several people have reviewed about bugs, we saw no bugs or any traces of bugs. Oh, a friendly piece of advice, if you are staying more than one night, and would like to have your car close to your room… Don't move it after 3pm. Which is the time for others to check in… Parking lot is small and very limited spots close to your room.

A 3-star rating is not a bad review. The hotel room was small but neat and well-kept. Both beds were soft and clean and the presentation of the room was simple but also comfortable. I recommend this hotel to a maximum of four people if you're mostly spending your time out of the room and only in there to sleep. The issues with the hotel work with the room but with what happened in the front office. My room number was accidentally given to another customer but only because it had actually been given to me and said customer at the exact same time, so, there was a glitch in the computer system that had my room number vacant and we were both issued the same room. there's no frigerator or microwave in the hotel room and the shower is somewhat week and water pressure but it's not the worst and it works perfectly fine. Other than that, the hotel stay was fine.

Our room appeared to be clean, very neat, and small when we walked in. Once the comforter was pulled back you could see yellow, red, and brown crust in several areas on the fitted sheets for both beds. I usually bring my own bedding when renting hotels, but chose to only bring a fitted sheet this time. I will never pack lite again. Finding the sheets dirty, made me question the cleanliness of the shower curtain and towels. If you just need a place to sleep for a few hours and dont plan on hanging out in your room, this is your place. I do want to add the staff was very nice and our prices were low. We were charged $182 for a five day stay in South Padre, around memorial weekend. Soo, I guess we got what we paid for? If the sheets/mattresses would have been clean, they would have received more stars.

Customer service was good, but in the room the phone wasn't working and we didn't have a trash can in the room just in the restroom. Didn't have enough body soap, the bars kinda disappeared while you're showering.

We stayed in room 110 it was perfect. Air conditioning was good. Bed was good. TVs good. Room and bathroom were clean. Staff was nice. Great location. Overall the price for what you get is excellent. Don't expect a 5 star hotel for forty-five dollars. Nobody gets premium quality for bottom dollar. If you want mega fancy shmancy then I suggest any of the beach front condos that can range up to more than $200.00 per night. No thanks!

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU GET THIS HOTEL BOOKED** My husband and I stayed at this hotel room 216. We both agree that you get what you pay for but really? The room was infested with baby cockroaches, there was blood stain on top of the bed, there were not enough towels for two people, and the room was really really small. On our way out the room to ask for our money back we were greeted by a medium size roach on the door! I took pictures but don't know how to download them to show proof. The only good part about this inconvenience was that we asked for our money back. Which we did, which takes 3-5 business days. Never going back again!

In the room, there aren't as many things that I expected there to be. I at least expected it to have a microwave and coffee maker, but there's nothing. The only things it has are beds, a TV, and poor lighting. The bathroom door doesn't even lock. There was only 1 towel. (Me and another person were staying here. ) Don't recommend it.

Great n helpfull staff. Thy offer militery n sr citizens discounts. The pool, rooms n the bathroom or small, yes. But are you staying there a week, a month?

Staff was very nice and professional. Room was just okay, that being said the location and price were great.

We recently booked 2 rooms for 4 nights each on So. Padre Island, Texas. The booking process went well and the nightly fee was very reasonable. The staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the rooms and equipment in the rooms was very disappointing. One of rooms had so much mold on a wall (room 112), we had to change rooms. Our next room had mold in the bathroom, but we didn't want to move, again (room 209). In our first room (room 112), the air conditioner cover was broken and falling off. In our other room (room 209), the air conditioner was so noisy we couldn't leave it on for long. We were to have a refrigerator and microwave in 1 room, but did not get it until the 2nd day. When we did get it, the microwave did not have a turntable in it, so we were not able to use it. We told the front desk about it, but did not get a turntable. The light over the sink in room 108 sounded like it was going to short out and the bathroom fan did not work in that room. We did not receive any shampoo or conditioner in our rooms, so had to go out and buy some. There was no coffee in the office for about 15 minutes during the time specified that they would have coffee. We had to ask to have the swimming pool cleaned. We did receive more clean towels when we asked.

The prices are of 120 USD Tax including approximately, hot and cold water, air conditioning, and cable Tv.

It did not work the air conditioner, they could not fix it, they returned US $30, however we were unable to sleep from the heat it did, so it made me little. Thank you.

All excellent only lacking shampoo in the room.

Great place but rowdy neighbors fighting bellow my room is too much. Also A/C wasn’t blowing full air. We mentioned it to the clerk and she tried to help but it was too late anyways and I only stayed for a night.

Managment was very nice and enjoyable to talk with. I had a great time. Looking forward to coming back. In fact, I will most likely come down tonight. Looking forward to staying again.

Well light and air conditioner very good. Customer service friendly. No grief about my little dog. Very affordable, best around for value. For a good sleep and good cable come here. I had no complaints. 5 star.

Is. The first time we find crumms in the bed room. I always stay in this location I never this problem before. Beside that this place is good.

We were assigned room 202, upon entering, the room was unclean and no towels were in rom, my wife went to office for towels and the night manager assigned us rm205. We relocated our luggage, etc to room 205 and this room only had one towel and desk person brought us additional towels and wash cloths. This room was filthy. I doubt that it has had a good cleaning in quite some time. I told the desk person if I had not already confirmed the payment at check in, I would have left this dump. The bathroom floor is filthy dirty and has had not serious scrubbing in who knows? the towel rack has hair, lint and dirt in the trough of the fixture, the flange on the air/heat unit is broken, the door second secure latch is missing.

Very small rooms, in bad condition in my case the bathroom in very bad condition the shower as well as the bathroom curtain, the dirty pool, no one clean the pool area from a previous day as it was the same rubbish. The dirty parking lot, the garbage cans in the hallways full of garbage. This is the second time I stay here and I think will be the last.

Someone keyed our stay for 2 nights rather than the 3 that we booked and paid for. This caused our door keys to not work on the 3rd day. The maintenance man came and replaced the batteries. His card worked and he left. However my wife was locked out of the room. We went to the front desk to complain and they said that Motel 6 system defaulted us to 2 days not 3. They corrected the problem. Had problems with roaches, adults and young ones crawling around in the evening. We spoke to the attendant when we left. Don't know if she understood (did not speak English very well) or will do anything about it.

Staff was friendly have no complains every thing was wonderful especially the rate we paid. Well worth it! Thank you@

Awesome, fast check in! Very friendly. Was sad that there was mold in the room. The room smelled like pee. The shower, oh my gaaawd was full of mold. Luckily I brought a new can of Lysol. Room 120 needs serious maintenance! Disappointed as we usually stay here on our island trips.

There was no shampoo and no internet.

You get what you pay for here, a motel. Rooms consist of 1 or 2 full size beds, a small table with 2 side chairs, and a restroom with only a shower. They do have basic cable TV, Wi-Fi, and a outdoor pool. Rooms are clean and front desk workers make your stay as comfortable as possible. They don't provide any breakfast, yet coffee is served daily. They do have the cheapest rates on the island, so keep that in mind when renting here. T.

Worse place ever! checked in at 1630, room was still not ready. Phone did not work, had to go to the front desk 3 times and ask for towels, after 2 and half hours and still no towels, called the customer service number, then received only 3 towels. The attitude of the front desk was horrible, a " whatever" attitude. Never had a care in the world. The washer and dryer was expensive and after 2 hours in the dryer the clothes was still not dry, had to hang dry in the room. The bathroom shower had rust. Worse ever!

The price is good for a Sunday night on the Island, however, the room is extremely small. There were 3 adults the room had 2 full size beds and a small table and you could barely move around without running into the other person. The shower is very small (half round shape) no bathtub and it is dark in the shower due to no light directly above it. The AC didn't blow any stronger on high than it did on low, so you had to set it in the 60's to keep the room cool. It's fine if you do not plan on being in the room except to sleep. Might stay here again.

If this wasn't located on So Padre Island they would never be able to get the price they charge! We travel with a dog so options are limited and you have to take what you can get at the last minute but the price range for this place should be about $60.00 not double +. The beds had hair on them, the towels had long strands of hair wrapped into them and the cockroaches lived among us! Then there is the pool, it was murky and full of cigarette buts and more long hair!

We booked 2 nights here. Our first night we have enjoyed. We stay in motels alot in our line of work. So I read all the reviews before we get one. As far as these reviews our room was clean no sign of any roach bugs. Would like a refrigerator. But for the price it was great. The refrigerator was only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

The room was clean and clearly recently remodeled… great bargain and great location. The staff was very friendly and we were very happy with our stay! We did have a strange experience at 4 AM, having people knock on our door and demand we open up… saying they'd had a recent break-in. It was quite disconcerting. But we called the front office and I assume they took care of it. Besides that experience, it was a great stay and surprisingly high quality for the great value!

The room was adequately clean. Not top notch, but it wasn't cringe-worthy either. The only real downside is that housekeeping seems to feel entitled to go through your things and take small items like your shampoo or bug repellent. Not sure they wouldn't take more expensive items, because we didn't give them a chance, bringing those items with us each day. If you can afford to stay at a motel or hotel with fewer sticky fingers in it, I advise you to do so. We won't stay here next time.

I stayed 2 nights at this location and really enjoyed it, I arrived early from a long trip and they were able to put me right in a clean room, the girl at the front desk was very nice too, she even gave me an AARP discount! The room was very nice and very clean, very roomy too, I was very comfortable and really liked that the location was just 1 block from the beach, great restaurants, schlitterbaun, parks and other fun activities. The pool was clean and seemed very well kept. I would definitely stay at this motel again and would highly recommend it!

For the price and location we got our bag for our buck. Good stay but the Wi-Fi sucked, ended up using my own internet.

We were out of our room from 10 am until afternoon then again from 2PM until nighttime. The room was never made up. I went to the desk and they told me that the maid had tried but that the deadbolt was thrown and they worked until 5 pm. I asked it the maid had knocked. The answer was no. I asked if she had returned later. The answer was no. The next day we were absent from 9am until 3:30. Our room had again not been serviced. I went to the desk and the manager directed the staff to do the job and it was completed within 30 minutes. I did not want to take the chance that they would not get around to it in the last moments of the workday. The room literally stank when we first entered. I assumed that it had been closed for a long time and just needed to be aired. After a day the smell had reduced considerably. After we finally got our second and last maid service the smell returned. A different cleanser should be considered. The room contained no listings of the TV channels. The desk was called and the wrong information concerning channel offerings were given to us. How much of an extravagance would a laminated card be? While card making a card to hang on the door asking for maid service might help your problem. When the desk was asked about Wi-Fi we were informed that it was available at an additional charge. That in itself is odd since it can be had almost anywhere for free.

It's not bad for what you pay for. Needs termite extermination.

Very disappointing. Dirty and smelly. Poor service, too. Got misleading info about the pool from desk staff, twice! No free internet. Slow Wi-Fi costs $3. Not bad if it worked, but it does not function well; we found it unusable. Don't pay for their internet service. Better yet, don't stay here. Not at all what I expected from Motel 6. : ( The hotel staff relly need to make changes. Whatever it takes to keep this motel (all its rooms, not just some of the rooms) clean and pest-free, even during the off season. Motel Guests still deserve to have a comfortable stay and a clean roach-free room, even when it is not Spring Break on South Padre. The Motel 6 room we stayed in had a floor that was not just dirty, it was quite filthy. There was a small amount of stale, smelly urine at the base of the bathroom toilet. Also, much of the bathroom floor, and over half of the floor near the room's sink, were covered in grey grime and black grime. Possibly mildew combined with dirt. This unit's bathroom floor and sink-area floor both looked like these 2 areas of floor had not been cleaned in months! One of the motel guests in a room very near ours complained of roaches in his room. Yuck! If I had known my room would be this disgustingly dirty, and so close to a roach-infested room, I would have saved money and instead chosen to stay in a no-name, flophouse, aka "roach motel. " This is the first reason why I am not happy with the value I got for my money.

Clean rooms. Newly renovated with updated bathrooms and entertainment systems. Pet friendly and polite staff. Exceptional value at $32 / Night.

What a great staff. The staff from Laundry to Front desk were so accommodating. Clean room, Friendly staff. And the price was right.

I love that it is so close to the beach! minutes away from everything, walking distance from everything. I would definitely recommended it to anyone.

Don't rent a room from here! The 1st we got had small roaches on the bed and in the sink. So we ask to move another one and later that night we had big and small roaches crawling all over the wall and bed. Its was so gross! Plus it has no microwave or refrigerator. I would never rent here ever again.

My room was clean and the bathroom was great! I loved the location, minutes from the beach and lots to do in the area! I would definitely come back to this motel again and recommend it to my friends.

Room was clean and comfortable, however my morning shower was much cooler than the day before, there didnt seem to be much hot water. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. I walked in to book a room at noon and even though they didnt have anything available until three let me change in their bathroom and leave my car in the parking lot while I went to the beach. I would stay here again.
