Went to beach are very CLEAN and not crowded… beautiful… water clean n sort of clear. Not very salty… GREAT veterans discount.

Very clean place to stay. Few odds and ends that could used updating but for the price per night, easy to overlook. Short drive to anything you need on the island. Highly recommend!

Very clean and spacious. They accomodate dogs for a very small fee. Friendly staff. Breakfast options were limited to cereal and other snack items.

The wife and I quite liked this place. We planned a trip to South Padre during the high season over the holiday, and this place was really affordable, friendly, and clean. It's an older place, but the beds are really comfortable and the kitchenette was just perfect — it had a fridge, microwave, kitchen sink, and a stove! The location is also great — very close to the beach, and a little bit further north on the island, closer to awesome things like the sand dunes, etc. Get to the free breakfast early, waffles are the main thing and it closes a bit early at 9:30am so everything runs out quick. Overall, a great experience!

The hotel is pet-friendly and clean. The room and bathroom were very spacious. Small t. V. And limited breakfast options.

Clean, fresh, very inexpensive and no bugs! Also the receptionists are very nice. No pool but we came for the ocean.

It's not bad, but not great. We were told when booked that it would be a kitchenette but it was not, also when my husband and I first walked in we saw a cockroach on the bed. On a good note, location is close to beach and in the middle of everything where you need to go. Reasonable for their prices.

Beds are comfy… That's all I can say about this place. Oh and maid was really kind… Oh yeah and Donkey (restaurant) is feet away for a great bite.

I would definitely stay here again. The room was extremely clean. We enjoyed breakfast every morning. Staff was very friendly. Treated us as family, not as a guest. Pool and hot tub were always clean.

The service at south pare island inn was great there is free Wi-Fi, breakfast and for an additional $10 fee you can bring your dog the to motel. I would recommend this motel if you are going to south pare island.

Avoid this place unless you don't have a choice! We stayed here for 2 nights due to tight bookings everywhere. The beds are okay and comfy. We found 3 bugs and 2 cockroaches in our room which we killed. The bathroom was clean but kind of small. The safe was not safe to stay in especially if you're traveling with kids. Our room was located on the 2nd floor and there were two shady men drinking and strong smell of weed /skunky smell near them, near the stairs. They kept staring at us every time we went down or to the pool. Also WE WERE NOT GIVEN housekeeping services for our second night. We asked the maid for new towels and toilet paper and she happily said no to our faces. However the front desk apologized later on. The pool area needs to be cleaned more! There was vomit near the pool and other Hispanic kids would dive in the pool next to us splashing water on our faces.

Roaches in room. No microwave. Beds falling apart. No phone in room. Moldy smell coming from room. Their was no smoke alarm in room. Dirty will not be returning.
