Horrible experience at this location! Stayed at this hotel over a month ago! And they took money out of my account out yesterday?!? Also when we checked out they lady couldn’t print a receipt that it would be emailed (never received) and while staying there the front desk person gave other guest access to our room. Can you talk about invasion of privacy? Wasn’t even apologetic! Oh and when I called to talk to a person in management they only work weekdays but leave before 430! Really thought the rooms were nice & great that they allowed dogs. But I will not be recommending this place to any of my friends who would want to handle this hassle?!

The hotel was very clean and spacious! Hotel staff was very professional and make sure that we were in a room suited for a person that is severely asthmatic. Definitely would go back!

Indoor pool that closes at 11pm an hour later than most… is a plus. For me. The breakfast is good n hot. In the evenings FREE beer. Doesn't get any better. I'd recommend! oh and the hotel is nice.

Love this place. Not to expensive. Cane hears ago for anniversary and back for no. 25. One small problem was a huge suite but only 1 very small trash can. Desk room service etc is exceptional.

If there was a way to give this hotel no stars I would! We arrived at the hotel got to our suite and the room key didn't work. We had to go back to the front desk and had to wait for 15 minutes because the front desk clerk was on break. We finally got help after calling the hotel number, even though we were standing at the front desk. The pictures on the internet are deceiving and this hotel is disgusting. After finally getting our keys to work, I had to body slam the door just to get it open. Once in the room it smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking and the room was so nasty! We asked for a refund but 5 days later we still haven't received a refund. Every time we try to contact the hotel we are told that the manager isn't there and that they don't know when the manager will be in. Customer care can't help us since the hotel is independently owned and operated. If looking for a hotel GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! We got a room that was 100x better for less money at the Hilton Garden Inn which is a brand new hotel.

I wish I could rate this crappy place a zero. Rude ass blonde working the front desk tonight seems to be high as a kite & had no care in the world when we went down to make a complaint. Feet propped up on the desk talking on her person cell phone! and no she didn't fix the issue we had, basically told us to deal with it! Don't waste your money coming here!

This is our 2nd visit. The rooms are nice and roomy! The beds are comfortable! The check in is the fastest I have ever experienced, which makes it even better! Seems like at most you stand at the counter forever! I would definitely recommend this location! :)

My family stayed 4th of July weekend celebrating my mother, aunt and uncle’s birthday ; our check in experience was less than friendly ; when asked to speak to the manager the actual owner ducked his responsibility by saying he was not ‘“quite” the owner. I believe I left a gray hanging bag (I know this because I’ve traced all my steps even asking the rental car company to double check the trunk) ; my husband called twice and was assured he would receive a call back. Still no answer ; not much in bag but curling irons and brand new clothes … just poor customer service. Won’t be back … previous responses to reviews were dismissive with no attempts to improve service.

After 10hrs of driving, my family was exhausted. We finally get to our hotel, and the room key doesn’t work. After going down to the lobby to switch keys, we open the door to realize that house keeping hasn’t even checked on the room from the last guests. Going back downstairs, we get a new room on a different floor and a new key, and once again the key doesn’t work. Going back to the desk to exchange keys once again, the enter the room to find it unkept, unknown droplets on the pull out bed, red stains on the wall, half unplugged outlets, etc. At this point, the poor desk lady was trying her best to get us a decent room. We were upgraded to a suite, the keys once again wouldn’t work, and there was a patch in the jacuzzi, beer boxes and stiletto shoe box, dirty sheets, and food on ground. We were desperate to just rest so my family took care of it ourselves. After all that mess, we’re on day 2 and my mother has found bed bugs that has been biting her and causing extreme discomfort this whole trip. The desk lady said she has gotten 4 calls this week about unclean rooms. This is awful.

Front desk help stayed in the back room or outside at the gazebo with boyfriend or who ever, more than they stayed at the front desk. Rude and uncaring, not people friendly at all. When a guest comes to check in… it is not professional to talk fast, put a piece of paper in front of them, tell them initial here, initial here, sign here, then turn your back and literally jump over the counter behind you to go back to your boyfriend or who ever it is in the back room. This is what happened to me on my check in. The manager or assistant manager was rude to my nephew because he thought he might be able to check in an hour early, she rudely told him no then turned her back and walked off. My son's room still had left over crap in the fridge from the previous guest, so are the rooms being cleaned properly or just looked over? I could go on and on but it would take too much time. I talked with other guests and they also had problems with the front desk people. We have stayed there many times over the years, this is the first time I have had a bad experience there. I talked with one of the owners about our experience, I hope he handles this situation or he won't have a business much longer. To be quiet honest, I dont know if I will give them another chance in the future, this experience has left a bitter feeling with me, there are lots of other hotels in this area much nicer, and with friendly honest staff.

Hotel itself isn't awful. Staff is extremely rude and sketchy. Only got a room here because it was cheap and I was hosting a bachelorette party. Was told if I paid in cash I would have to also pay a $200 deposit fee and If I didn't want to do that, they would take my credit card and hold it until I checked out the next morning. Both I'm pretty sure they can not do. I was also not told that there was a $25 dollar holding fee, so I panicked when I saw the withdrawal from my account. Tiffany from the night shift did a very good job of reassuring me I was not being over charged and that I will be receiving the holding fee back. She was very nice, helpful and understanding. Tiffany definitely deserves a raise! Especially since she is having to deal with the unhappy customers that the ladies before her pissed off because they did an unfit job of informing their customers about holding fees and were rude from the time they entered the building.

This is absolutely the worst! If I am going. To be charged $110 I should at least have a decent bed and ac that works. No the bed is as hard as a rock. Its 1 am and there are loud neighbors, and the ac is turned down as low as it will go and its hot! To top it off the pool is closed and the faucet in the bathroom is constantly dripping no matter how hard you turn the knob, This is the worst.

The first thing I noticed was the phone in my room did not work as I was calling the front desk to request a blanket for the pull out couch-bed. Secondly, it was over 102 degrees yesterday and they would not let me have any tap water. Told us our only option was to purchase bottled water or be degraded by having to go to the bathroom to get faucet water. The refrigerator in the room went out in the middle of the night spoiling the 3 year olds food. The indoor pool was so cloudy and filthy. Do not waste your money. We checked out and went to Marriott like we should have to begin with. Where the pool is clean, they gave me FREE bottled water. And the rooms are clean. As well as the phone and refrigerator works.

Be careful of cutting yourself shaving or the women while doing your legs because if you did one spot a blood on their towels that's a $15 towel little heads up people.

I booked 3 rooms. Since the facility only has one accessible room and the previous reservation extended their stay, we had to stay in a regular room. I would recommend the facility making more accessible rooms available. Our second room was fine except the remote didn't work. We checked in early for our third room and requested a crib but when we returned to the room that evening the crib was not in the room. The hostess staff was very nice. Was disappointed in the physical upkeep of the facility.

Dirty Hotel NO POOL Rude employees This hotel had a closed pool. The hotel overall was dirty and run down. The accommodations are what you would expect when staying at a roadside motel for $19 a night. The worst part was the has obviously just given up on listening to customer complaints. I asked for new sheets and the girl just looked from her phone for a second and said, ok. The breakfast is a joke as well.

Room wasn't clean. Halls and gazebo were dirty. Pool was cloudy. Staff wasn't very friendly. Not my best experience.

Ok. Went here on business. 2nd visit I've made for my company so I didn't choose the hotel. The first visit was ok. Bed was ok. Staff was ok… but the 2nd visit never again… bathroom wasn't clean. Like the housekeeper left and forgot to return. Evidence from the previous guest was still there. The bed was outdated. Low to the floor and the mattress was obviously thin and worn out. I could literally feel the springs… The room had an adjoining door so upon walking in I opened the door ON MY SIDE and closed and locked it back. Immediately the guest in the adjacent room began banging on the door… a min later the phone rang. Instead of asking me what was happening the desk clerk told me that the other guest said that I was trying to break into his room! Then told me that I didn't need to touch the door period and not disturb other guests. I automatically became offended at the thought of anyone assuming that I would be some sort of burglar and told the young lady at the front desk that I am a VERY ADULT woman traveling ALONE on business and that she needs to address the other guest for banging on the door and yelling and screaming through the wall. HE was disturbing other guests not me. 30 secs later I walked to the front and asked for another room I no longer felt safe or welcome here. I will not stay where I'm not welcome and the next time there's a disturbance get your facts straight before offending ANY guest regardless of their race. Religion.

Rooms are horrible, mattresses are so thin and old u can feel the springs through them. The sheets dont fit the bed and the blankets are old and lumpy, literally can see the lumps. Not comfortable to even sit on much less sleep. There is no TV remote and the Wi-Fi is slow and spotty, using my phones hot spot to run my ipad and firestick, which thank goodness I had from a previous trip or I'd have to continueously get up and down since no remote and there are no replacements. There is damage on all the walls, the furniture and trash on the walls that has not been wiped down from previous visitors. Lets not even talk about the bathroom. Came to town to surprise family for mothers day and I got the surprise instead … … If your sensitive to smells (the entire hotel has a foul smell), staff is not professional at all, you'll see for yourself if u dare come stay here … The walls are thin … you can hear conversations clear as a bell … If I could get a refund I would take my business to another place … Buyer beware is all I can say …

Love, love love this place. We had a king bed… a jacuzzi in the bathroom, and a great breakfast bar… complete with nearly anything one wants for breakfast! Staff kind and courteous. Very quiet. Great place to stay for a weekend getaway… only 30 miles from historic Jefferson .

Not a bad night's stay. However, housekeeping was a bit too aggressive in the morning.

Bed is comfortable, room is clean. There remodeling now and even in a non smoking hotel it did smell like smoke. Maybe from before.

The hotel "overbooked" for the evening I had paid for 3 hours earlier in the evening (via Priceline), and they then offered an "upgraded suite" on arrival for $100 more. When we didn't agree, we were turned away (it was almost 1:00 a. M. ). When I contacted the supervisor, Gina, the following day, she said she would make it right by mailing me a voucher good for a stay another night. Three weeks later, she had never mailed the voucher and had become almost combative telling me, "I have payroll to do it, but i'll GET TO IT. " Endless time was wasted trying to rectify the situation with the hotel and countless attempts to reach Gina or have her actually return a call. Priceline said the only reason a hotel would be responsible for "overbooking" is if they did not properly notify third parties (like Priceline) of their room availability. This is a dismal example of service and management.

It's okay. As far as what you are paying for I would start that mostly it's the location. The breakfast is hot, which is not always common so that's cool. I figure I would return here because the staff is friendly most of all. Just a typical Foreigner ran hotel with minimum repairs.

We’ve had some issues with this hotel. We’ve used this hotel twice. The first time was a few years ago, it had roaches and the rooms felt like a furnace because the AC wasn’t working on the entire floor, at least they upgraded us to a room with AC after we complained. However, we just stayed here again (Now with nicer looking remodeled rooms). This time they served week old expired milk and wouldn’t clean or give enough fresh towels. We asked to speak to the manager to ask to fix the problems, she said “We’re sorry you feel that way, but that’s an owner issue. ” Honestly, I’d try the Fairfield Marriott instead. We won’t be staying here again.

Meeting room was great for our Christmas party. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are nice and comfortable, hotel staff is also very nice. The beds could be more comfortable, but they're not bad.

I have been there weekly for the past two months! I have no complaints! Indoor pool and hot tub to unwind after a long day of work. The staff is extremely attentive. Daily breakfast hits the spot. Recommend it blindly!

Great hotel property! Large comfortable rooms. Clean bathrooms with wonderful fluffy towles! As a traveling musician I stay in quite a few hotels. We will book this Wingate again! PS: They were doing some remodeling, so there was a little noise on 9/16/17. However, once completed it will only be better!

Free breakfast and relatively comfortable. An excellent cheaper option. Bathroom and bed not meticulate, but you get what you pay for.

My parents stayed here and they really enjoyed their experience. I don't know if the management changed but we haven't had the best experience. Our room was clean but our sheets had weird stains on them and we weren't sure if they had been changed. We called down stairs and the lady was really sweet and said she would changed them. However, some customers came to check and she she was busy and the only one on staff. So not her fault. We waited 20 min so finally I went down stairs and asked for the sheets myself because it was late at night and we wanted to get to sleep. So we changed our own sheets. Breakfast was ok. Eggs were gross and fake. Also, cleaning services did not come to our room, on the second floor, until 3 o'clock. I happened to be back at the hotel sitting on the bed and they just walked in without knocking. Then when they heard the TV and saw me they shut the door partially and knocked saying they were house cleaning.

Enjoyed the room. Got free breakfast and free nachos and beer the evening I checked in because that was their way of saying thank you for being a guest. Enjoyed the sauna, hot tub, and pool. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. I would stay there again for sure!

Location is good. In a new part of the city. Great rooms and house cleaning service. Great breakfast hours and sitting area. Would stay again.

It was an average hotel. On check-in the staff was not particularly friendly but not overtly rude. The room was okay. The bed was lumpy looking. We hoped it was the comforter. It wasn't a comfortable.

Unruly children running around, elevators smell like mold and chlorine, I was told to shove the door hard just to get it open when at first I thought it might be locked from the inside and they'd given me a wrong room key, burnt area in the carpet, COIL SPRING MATTRESS — don't even want to know how old and disgusting that mattress was, couch was stained and smelled like mold, unfriendly staff, and smelled smoke coming from a next door room all night! I've stayed at the Wyndham Garden in Midland as well and had a similarly bad experience the few times I've stayed but at least that hotel was clean and had updated mattresses. This was my first trip of many to Longview as I travel for work a lot. If it weren't for already booking through my company website I would have left and stayed elsewhere. I will NEVER stay here again and I'm questioning if all Wyndham chain hotels are worth boycotting! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BOOK ELSEWHERE!

Absolutely depressing. They front desk staff was amazing and helpful at check in however the first room we had smelled of cat pee, you know how awful that can be. The second room, although outdated, apparently had some kind of water leak/urine smell as well. We buckled down and prayed for the best after several hours of driving. The other customers lingered about in pajamas and chain smoked outside. The next morning, they were still smoking but taking breakfast up to their room with unruly children in tow. Breakfast was mediocre at best. To top things off, my child's Fitbit went missing from the room and we were told relayed through staff members over a course of time, with still no results. We will never stay at a Wingate if we can help it again because apparently we have become so spoiled with other chains. If I could give a negative star, I would. PS, we asked for ONE additional towel, went to front desk to retrieve it only to be ran around to the laundry and told that they didn't have any other towel, told that some were on order, and asked if I would Ibe happy with a towel that another guest left behind that wasn't actually from the hotel. To top everything off, the TV didn't work. Utterly depressed. When I go on vacation or on business trips the rooms should be better than the my house I've left. This was sadly not the case in this instance. I begged for my room at home and slept very little due to all of the above and the cleanliness of the room.

This is absolutely the BEST hotel I've ever stayed at! They have remodeled every room since I have been staying here. All new furniture, updated decor, no ugly bed spread, nor common hotel carpet. I stay here for work. Sunday night through Thursday and have for almost 7 month now! I know every one of the staff members by name! The front desk staff is absolutely wonderful, fast, nice, professional, and attentive. You can set up with their rewards points and get free night stays with all their chain hotels. This is how I had my weekend fun! My 2 year old son traveled with me and it's hard on a 2 year old without his playroom so he got fussy sometimes, they alllllllways let me have the room I chose on the second floor which was secluded so he didn't disturb the other guests. The rooms are very large along with the bathrooms, there were times that I had a room with a couch and still had plenty of room. Never had an issue with AC units or anything. Their coffee is AMAZING (wolfpack). Another employee and the doctor we work for also stay here and have wonderful experience as well! Rooms are ALWAYS clean, they clean everyday and replace towels and bedding if you leave a sign on the bed. They have a verity of things to chose from for breakfast from 6AM to 9AM. Which includes a juice machine, a cappuccino machine, eggs, sausage, biscuit, sausage grave, cereals, muffins, toast, oatmeal and a few other things. Also, once a week I believe they have complementary beer and wine.

Dirtiest hotel room I have ever seen! And I travel weekly for work and have seen my share of hotels. The room smelled like mildew, there was a gaping hole on the wall where the switch for the bedside lamp used to be, there were holes in the wall all around the room where the artwork had been ripped off the wall. It was so disgusting I stopped at Walgreens on my way back from dinner to buy a scented candle and a large can of Lysol spray to disinfect the bed sheets and the bathroom to be safe! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great place to stay! The staff was really friendly and professional throughout our 9 day stay. Our room environment setting was always left the way I left it, be it window open for fresh air, A/C set at 75 or just fan only. Was nice to come to a cleaned and refreshed room everyday and I felt spoiled with 5 pillows of varying firmness to choose from and the bed was comfortable. One drawback though, the bathroom did not have a powered ventilation fan only a vent on the ceiling. So it took a little bit for the steam or funk (sorry) to clear out. The wired and wireless internet worked just fine and the 24hr Business room came in handy when I needed to print out my airline boarding passes. Used the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and fitness room once just to try out, no complaints there. Surrounded by all kinds of stores within walking distance and many more with short drive. This was a comfortable place to stay and will stay again when I come back to visit.

The rooms were clean and nicely appointed. There was so much chlorine in the pool I wouldn't let my children swim. The entire first floor reeked from the smell. The pillows were uncomfortable.

Desk clerk nice; room ok, but not worth the price. Left room after the first day and returned to no cleaning having been done. Very disappointed. Apparently they have the front desk clerk doing it all. Glad we had her. Think twice before staying here.

Reservations were made for a connecting room, because we had children and needed 2 connecting rooms for safety purposes. On the telephone, it was stated that that would not be a problem. Upon arrival, I was told that the hotel policy was not to guarantee rooms and only because I insisted strongly did I even get rooms on the same floor. It was too late to change hotels. Then their customer survey says that if I am not satisfied I do not have to pay. When that was brought up, it really means that they might be able to provide some free nights later on. The rooms and facilities were nice and the desk help was nice, but the hotel was deceptive in what is stated and Holiday Express will get our business, not Wingate by Wyndham.

In town on business and stayed at this hotel. It was a great stay and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, great breakfast and close to many restaurants. Highly recommended. The only downside was that the wireless internet did not work very well, but the hotel I. T. Person tried very hard to fix it.
