Very clean and quiet. Great place to stay.

Room not cleaned — no offer for another … literally someone else’s shampoo and soap in tub
— Smashed hard boiled eggs for breakfast, no fruit, or yogurt and when we asked for water (just tap water) you would have thought I asked for a five star breakfast
— Dogs in breakfast area
Overall… disgusting.

The reason why we stayed here in this hotel was because every other hotel in San Antonio was 300 plus for the amount of time we wanted to stay. This one has very good pricing. The staff was very nice and respectful. The place was clean. I'd say the only downside is the room always felt humid, like there was a ton of water particles in the air (we had the A/C on). Also the breskfast could be a bit bigger and provide more options for people.

Roaches, roaches, roaches! the room stunk. There were roaches (live) everywhere. The cable was not connected to the tv. There was long strands of hair on the restroom floor the first night we checked in. I understand as humans we are not perfect, but I know the restroom floor hadn’t been swept. We only stayed two nights for a softball tournament. I do not recommend staying here.

The hotel was nice and clean. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The only problem we had was that the pool was closed and there was nothing for our grandchildren to do.

Very nice, clean rooms. Staff is courteous and helpful. The reason I give it a 4 is that the pool pump went out the second day we were there. I will stay there again and recommend it to my friends.

Our family stay was very pleasant. Service was good, except for breakfast sitting area. It is too small with only few small tables. However, for the price, it is a great place to stay. We will do it again.

Under construction when we arrived. We were not made aware of this when we booked the room. When we arrived it was 10:30. There was no one at the front desk when we arrived. Waited quite a while for the employee to come out of the back room. AC was not on on our room and it was pretty hot. Giant spider on the floor next at the checkin desk. Yellow caution tape stretched throughout the breakfast and pool area due to construction. Men’s restroom off of lobby will not lock. See photos. Next am, tape was removed and we had breakfast which was pretty good. I would stray here again next time in Hondo but may opt to drive and stay in San Antonio and drive the extra 30 miles or so.

My family and I stayed at Best Western in Hondo, TX during a very stressful time. We stayed 3 nights and it almost felt like home. Rose, who worked the front desk in the morning was incredibly helpful. She even went out of her way to help us clear up the problem when I accidentally booked 2 rooms for the same night. She also helped us get a lower rate due to our emergency situation. Jerermy saved the day when the TV wasn't working properly. And this took multiple trips back to our room. Amy, who works the front desk at night, always had a smile on her face and was helpful in getting us extra towels or blankets. The ladies cooking the breakfast in the morning were so nice. They ran around making sure the food was well stocked for us. To sum it up, the folks working here helped make my life less stressful during a very stressful time.

Simple, but serviceable. Hotel is undergoing renovations, so expect the dust to settle soon. Nice peaceful sorgum field to look at on the back side of the hotel.

Although the Best Western in Hondo is in the middle of a remodel, the hotel staff make the inconvenience so much less of an inconvenience. I have always stayed at a Best Western and will continue to stay, even if that means going out of my way to find one.

Great place to stay in Hondo. Staff is super helpful. You have a desk in your room with free Wi-Fi, tv, fridge and microwave. The bathroom is very clean as well as the rest of the room. I highly recommend it.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Bed slept very well. Breakfast was good. Host was late, so a few things lacking. Nonetheless, my stay was very good. Only real complaint was the water could have been hotter. Still 5 stars.

Held a professional training session there for a local business. The staff was very accommodating. Facility was well kept and clean. Very positive experience.

People are very friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is of good size. I'd stay here again any time.

Hotel employee made sure I entered my room without difficulty; checked the lights and helped me with my bags. Employee was aware that I was a senior citizen and took that into consideration. Very helpful.

The rooms are ok. I felt like the price was a bit high for this room. We reserved a room. Check in is at 3 and we didn't get there till 4. They gave us a key and the room was still being cleaned. We were late for the wedding we went to because we had to wait.

Stayed at the Best Western in December, while in town for a hunting trip. It’s conveniently located, reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing, and will be the main reason I come back to this hotel. Always greeted me with a smile and a kind word.

Great stop! Kind staff, good prices, warm environment, welcoming rooms. If you ever visit this adorable town, especially in a snow storm, Best Western is the place to stay.

My stay at this Best Western was actually relaxing. The staff was very personable and knowledgeable, always going the extra mile. The complementary breakfast was to die for. Extremely clean.

The shower did not work.
The TV did not work.
I had to drive to a convenience store for a bottle of water and a dr. Pepper. The breakfast was cold and the waffle machine was broken. They had no orange juice in the milk was warm. Just not a very good not for me.

They were courteous and pleasant.
They didn’t change our sheets, just made the bed.
The elevator had the same dirt on the floor for several days.
My SIL found a sock under the footstool and old, dried up dog poop behind the chair.
They were out removing the paper covering our window at 8AM Sunday. (Maybe they painted? )
The breakfast buffet was out of waffle batter the 4 mornings we were there, “Probably won’t get more for another day or two… ” Biscuits and gravy were good, though the eggs were not.
We like to stay in Drury, La Quinta, Holiday Inn Express, and Best Westerns, but we would compare it unfavorably to other ones.

The first time they gave me keys to an occupied room. (Don't worry the front desk said this happens "all the time. ") The next time the rooms ac was malfunctioning and a giant cockroach had moved in. The next room had dirty cups all over and the ac was torn apart. The next room is missing a door and smells badly of ammonia. It at least it has ac and no cockroaches. Save time and just drive to the Lytle location.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, the staff were nice and the Texas waffles were the best!

I have stayed here three times in the last five months. It's a clean quiet place to stay, with a decent breakfast. The entrance/exit driveway could use a more prominent sign, the present one is easy to miss.

Can not say enough good things about the staff here. We ended up stuck in Hondo after our truck (with our travel trailer attached) broke down. Sally went above and beyond to help us get everything situated. Anna Tose the next morning also did so much to help. Even the house keeping lady (missed her name) was very kind. I would stay here in a heartbeat again even if there was a Four Seasons to choose from. I've never experienced such kindness and hospitality from strangers in a hotel. God bless you ladies. We had a HUGE problem with the guy at the front desk. Management definitely made in right and we appreciate that. We would stay there again. Very nice property.

The staff is very helpful. The rooms are exceptionally clean. The beds are clean and comfortable. The room has both a refrigerator, and a microwave. The free breakfast is excellent with many offerings. The pool is not large, but it is pleasant with chairs to sit and watch the kids, if you wish. Free Wi-Fi.

The breakfast is great. Mrs. Irene does a very good job. I've stayed in the other hotels in hondo and they don't even compare to the best western. It was worth every penny. Highly recommend this hotel. Best place in hondo!
