I watched them build this "structure" and know most of the people who have worked there. The manager is rude, obnoxious, uneducated, unscrupulous and unreliable. I do not recommend staying here for any reason.

This is a very nice, clean and newer hotel. Indoor pool, nice size exercise room and a bar/lounge type area that is kept up nice. Rooms are average size. Rates are high for a BW Plus, but low for this area of Texas (oil and gas has rates high). I will definitely samtay here the next time I come back.

Decent rooms, clean sheets, soft pillows, clean bathroom, frig, microwave, typical rooms with bathroom near front door. Not sure why you would be in Big NO Lake except to visit relatives or you work in the gas & oil field. The front desk kids, need more education on how to transfer phone calls. In the rooms you cant close the dark curtains to cover the shears. No way to block out day light or light coming in. Very weird. Drinks are not priced really expensive. Other than that its probably the nicest place here, to rest your head. Thank you.

A stop in the road for a bed for the night in a town that has few options. This didn't live up to the PLUS designation… average. A manager should actually spend the night in a room so they'd have better window coverage to keep light out, better sound proofing for traffic and parking lot noise.

I was please with service. Just need a bit more attention to detail on changing out sheets when been there over a week. Bathroom cleaned well. Disappointed about no freezer, but microwave worked well.

There two weeks had to ask them change the sheets. Water pressure wasn't that grate and the halls stair had a funny smell nice room big TV air conditioning work grate friendly staff.

Clean rooms and bathrooms. Indoor pool and a gym. It's your average hotel. As far as common hotel breakfasts go, their's is decent. The snack bar would be great if only they wouldnt limit their sales by only accepting cash. You can't even bill it to the room. Nope, only cash. Their vending is only drinks. Also cash. The internet and TV both go out in a storm but that's probably got more to do with the providers than the hotel. The staff is super friendly. They do have a lot of channels and the internet has been good (when there isn't a storm). The showers work well with no problems. The beds are comfortable if you like a stiff mattress. All in all, 4 stars. I'll go back again I'm sure.

The best hotel to stay at in Big Lake, TX. My kids love the indoor pool. Very clean hotel and friendly, helpful staff.

This is like my home away from home. Great staff and good clean amenities. Never had a problem here.

I was turned away when asked to buy snacks and use the Wi-Fi by the front desk clerk. She told me I could not sit inside the hotel lobby had to eat or drink the snacks that I purchased there. As a Google local guide and someone who travels the world this really shock and amaze me. There've been research studies done showing that having traffic in your lobby actually attracts other guest and creates a positive atmosphere which in turn increases sales and guest satisfaction. Big lake is a relatively small town with very little cell service so the least they could do is offer a paying customer a place to check in with their family while they're traveling even if they did not get a room there. It is called Hospitality for a reason. All Best Westerns are independently owned. I would stay away from this one at all costs.
