Great place. I've stayed a few times. I don't understand the bad reviews. The beds are fine just like any hotel. If they are too soft, people complain if they are too hard people complain. They were fine for me. The breakfast is good. If youre waffles are too thin, you need to use less batter! The front desk is very accommodating.

This hotel charges way to much for what it offers. The beds are cheap and hard, not firm but hard. The breakfast they offer sucks. The waffle bater is watered down the coffee is stale and tastes like rotten butt hole. Oh, check out the photos, if it will allow me to post… Missing fire alarm, sprinkler popping out, door key card reader battery hanging out of door, stain and hole on pillow cases, and nasty walls and phone! It is NASTY here! Maybe they gave me the shittiest services and the shittest room thinking I wouldn't be here writing a review?!

Nothing like the new pictures shown on the internet. Wouldn’t take our tax exempt certificate as government employees — had to press it and finally got it. Couldn’t print a receipt for the credit card transaction because the Wi-Fi was done. No elevator for upper floor. First room they gave me had not been cleaned from last guest. Second room was disgusting — stains that looked like blood on the sheets, refrigerator had food spilled inside, microwave didn’t work, since there was no Wi-Fi there was no TV, everything in the room was broken or falling apart. Bed was like sleeping on the floor. The carpet was filthy. Breakfast was a joke, fruit and dry cereal — who knows how long the gallon container of milk had been sitting on the counter? Think twice before before staying here.

Do not recommend. No stars.

Stayed here for a month. Friendly environment, nice rooms that get cleaned daily, pretty good make yourself waffles and coffee every morning and the nicest manager. All-in-all Great place!

Cereal bar not cleaned or maintain at all nothing really to have other than coffee.

This is the best hotel in Big Lake, Tx and Sam it's the best guy ever, feels like home away from home! I know I would always stay there while I pass trough! Best customer service! My boys love Sam!

The rooms were a far cry from a Holiday Inn Express or Best Western Plus. The service was very shady lady advertise the check out to be at 10 a. M. Which is absolutely absurd. The back door to the building is never locked so anyone can walk in and out of there so the security is far from secure. It was like they were trying to be a 3-star Hotel but didn't do any of the lake work to cover up exposed wires or any of the other common things that you come to expect from hotels when you travel a lot. The outside the building does look decent the lack of amenities such as a pool or breakfast really made It shotty and I still can't get over the fact that anyone can walk in and out of that hotel.

The hotel was clean and quiet, but it was a bit over priced and their breakfast was dry cereal.

Sam is AWESOME! The only reason I didn't give it a five is because of trashy people who want to leave their trash everywhere outside! Other than that when stuck in Big Lake this is our spot!

Good location, nice rooms and employees. The only thing I can complain is the breakfast. Not good at all and not enough for all the guests.

My husband and I arrived here in Big Lake Texas late at night and were extremely low with money. We were worried we would have to sleep in our car over night with a toddler. Thankfully the nice gentlemen at the front desk understood our situation and gave us a room for the night to avoid sleeping in our car. We are forever grateful for the kindness and wonderful hospitality from them. Our room was clean and cozy, they have great cable and free Wi-Fi. There was a small fridge and a two stove burner. The beds were a little stiff but a bed is better than a passenger seat. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel whether it's for a good night's rest or even for weekly periods!

Sam the desk clerk/manager was very hospital. The room was very nice and clean. I just spent 3days here and I'll stay here next weekend too. Only complaint is the no smoking rooms and I didn't like the beds. To hard 4 my preference.

There's a cigarette burn hole in one of my pillows and some brown stain of indeterminate origin on the other… And there's blood on my sheets. The floor is also covered in filth, I'd take the roaches at the Oasis lodge over this place.

I stayed a week while I was working and, as in most cases working on the road, there's always a bit of apprehension with reserving a hotel room. You always worry about bad service, dirty rooms, creepy crawly things that hitchhike home with you… None of this happened here. Sam at the front desk was amazing. He made sure everything went smoothly and went above and beyond to help make my visit great. My room was spotless and very comfortable. It was a great place to come "home" to after working 13 hours. Thank you again Sam for all you do.
