I love the place! Location, location, location! Staff so friendly. Had a great time here. I recommend this location!

I advise all guests of this hotel to choose to stay elsewhere because of what took Place on 3/09/22. My brand new 2021 Harley Street glide was stolen from this hotel, the security is absolutely terrible. Management did not seem to care, police were notified and a police report has been made. And what’s the point in a security camera system that does not record and only has live footage only, there camera system is broken? Very disappointed in the hotel and to wake up to my motorcycle stolen that was sitting right in front of a camera that doesn’t work. I advise all motorcycle riders to stay elsewhere as well as future guests.

My family and I have stayed here several times while in San Antonio. The hotel is always clean and the rooms are very spacious. There is even an HEB Supermarket across the street that has some of the best tasting pizza around.

I checked under the bed and it look very dirty like if no one ever cleans under there. There was empty soda can. The TV in the room appeared to be breaking it kept glitching out. I arrived at location and I was very worried because they couldn’t find me in there system and me, my wife and my toddler were waiting in the lobby to figure stuff out (our hot food got cold) and after half an hour or so they stated I was already checked in somehow. They checked the room and no one was inside. I’m upset because I had to call customer service for Expedia and La Quinta to assist while the rep didn’t look like she was helping to resolve the issue until I had called the reps. She did apologize after seeing somehow I was already checked in. I was really upset due to my food getting cold. And my family was tired and hungry. The pool looked like it hasn’t been cleaned. Breakfast was not the best (cereal boxes, bananas, apples and small items) no Hot Breakfast.

Extremely disappointed with the treatment and service. Would not recommend or ever return. Save your money and hassle. The room and night staff were nice and accommodating. The AM staffing desk was rude, unwilling to listen or work with us. I have a panic disorder which I have provided paperwork for regarding the mask mandate. The front desk person refused to help me, talked over me and threw a mask at me before walking to the back and yelling for me to go back into my room. (Even though I was at the desk because I was locked out of my room). He refused to help me and remained in the back room the entire time. Was uncooperative and refused to even speak with to me. Led me to tears. Eventually I called the police and filed a report. Prior to the police arriving and after I informed them they were coming the front desk finally allowed me access to my room. We grabbed our belongings and checked out. I can understand required mandates. I checked in the night prior, had walked around the hotel multiple times without issues or anything being brought up. Then this man acted like a child, treated me as less than a person and refused to even allow us to access our room until the police were called. I was in tears and upset at leaving, the front desk person continued to make snark comments. We were in town visiting family.

Called front desk because rowdy drunk neighbors were so loud. They told the neighbors we complained they got even worst and started to dial our room. Number at 2am. Not a place to stay and rest. River walk is to close and chances are these drunks came from there.

Beautiful room. Matches advertised pictures. Great service. They were ready at arrival and the whole process was quick and easy.

Very Quite and family friendly but they need to pay more attention to cleaning out AC Unit filters and vent they were very dirty! AC vents had mold on them which caused us to have allergies. My hubby had to clean them out!

We were happy with our king room. The bed was comfortable and our floor was quite. Great location, right across from a small HEB that had good pizza too.

Check in was fast. Room was spacious for my family of 5+ My dog. Only super downside was that the toilet was a complete mess! there was coffee spilt all over it and on the floor. The bath tub wasn't the cleanest it also the style of tub used super sucked. You had to try and balance in the middle so you didn't fall. (Not sure what those tubs are called) but checking in at 2am and having to get up super early, I just sucked it up.

Very nice clean and quiet. Location is great and you can just walk to the famous riverwalk and the Alamo. Good selection of food for breakfast, we love the place and I highly recommend it.

What a great hotel. We were late arrival and there was no parking but it was ok to park on street. The front desk and security staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was so spacious and clean. So glad we got a room with fold out. A teenager just does not like to share the bed. Oh and the hot breakfast was so yummy. There was a nice variety from waffles to toast. I recommend the Texas size waffles and crispy bacon. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit San Antonio.

What a great hotel! It's a hidden gem and quite under-rated as a 3 star hotel. I am so glad I didn't waste the money on a hotel by the River Walk which were at least $50 more a night. Plus parking is free at the LaQuinta and it's right on the tour bus line so it's easy to hop on. I'm very particular about where I stay after working for Marriott for years and this hotel didn't disappoint.

I had stayed here before and everything was great this time I called ahead to make reservations and I was "guaranteed" the quoted price of $129.95 or. 99 + tax and when we got there we we're charged $173+ I was told that I was guaranteed the price of $149.99 plus tax. If that's the price they would have quoted I would have refused and rather stayed at a much higher quality hotel. I asked the 2 receptionists I encounter to make the correction and I was basically told tuff luck.

The room we stayed in was well kept, good sized, nice view, and maids did a good job cleaning. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous, giving us directions to different parts of town. They saw we could use two beds instead of King and sofa and changed us to a room with 2 beds and couch chair etc! Strong internet, hot water in shower, and nice amenities. Breakfast was great also. Only drawbacks were Elevators extremely slow.
Other than that, awesome place to stay. We will definitely go back!

The room was clean and very nice. It was a room with two beds, a couch, chair, and a nice size desk. It felt more like a small suite than a hotel room. The price for thos room was 98 a night, in a good section of town with short distance of The Alamo and the River Walk. (May need a car, but the most fun way is to use the Bird scooters they're cheap and its a fun away to get around. ) When I come back I plan on definately staying here.

Don't fret if it's busy, it is worth the wait. This place has a great design. Feels like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed visiting.

Great rooms. Good price. Good amenities like pool and breakfast provided. Staff has always been great to us. Seems like this chain is gathering a solid following of family guests as it's filled with kids. Can't go wrong in my opinion.

Very nice and clean hotel. The lobby was decorated well and our rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The staff at the front desk was helpful and friendly. I used the fitness room and all of the equipment was updated and organized, but they do keep the room pretty warm. Overall, I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

All the staff was extremely helpful with suggestions and logistics. We were able to visit all local attractions by either public transportation or walking. It has a great boutique grocery store across the street with some ready to go excellent meals. We actually ate in seve.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights this past weekend and we were pleased with how clean and updated the facility was. Our only complaints would be that our toilet messed up and after calling several times for it to be fixed my husband ended up having to go down to the front desk and they finally called maintenance to our room, in my opinion the pillows were was too soft but my husband said they were fine for him and last breakfast was a let down while we weren't expecting a 5 star meal obviously but it was all around just flavorless and not much variety to choose from even getting there at 7am. Also do not be in a hurry while waiting for the elevator because it takes FOREVER! We plan on returning this summer and might stay at this location again, we weren't amazed but also no major dislikes either.

If you would have told me that this fresh newly revamped hotel was going to get a two star rating from me when I walked in I would have told you that you were crazy. The hotel was clean, the rooms were modern, the space was great. The price was outrageous but it was Spring Break and I wouldn't have even batted an eye at the almost $300 price tag for one night if not for what happened next. We did little more than sleep a this hotel, or I should say, we did little more than *try* and sleep at the hotel. During the over night hours there was major road construction going on directly in front of the hotel. It started just after dinner and continued until almost dawn. There was JACK HAMMERING for hours overnight. JACK HAMMERING! Morning arrives and the construction vehicles move out and blurry eyed we attempt to get downstairs. My husband and I had to separate with the kids. He took the older kid and the luggage and took the stairs with two huge suitcases. I kept the stroller and we waited for the elevator. I waited through the elevator heading downstairs six times. Four at one side of the building, two at the other, where we could not fit on the elevator because it was already crammed full and SO SLOW. Finally, I snagged the elevator going up knowing that by the time it got back to the third floor there would be no room and I was right! Rode up, then down, and proceeded to the desk to checkout. Apparently, this hotel hasn't heard of any type of rapid checkout.

Can’t find a lot wrong with this place. Great reception area, good position and a good variety at breakfast time. Nice size room with good amenities. If the room servicing was quicker and the price a little more moderate, Iepuld rate it excellent.

I had to stay in San Antonio for 3 weeks for work and each week I hated the hotel I was in but I stayed in this La Quinta hotel during the last week and it was surprisingly the nicest one. They recently renovated it (see attached photos) and it's really nice! There is no restaurant but there's an HEB market across the street and it's really convenient with lots of choices and fresh pizza. I was very pleased with this hotel. The only downfall is the elevators take FOREVER to go up and down.

Very nice place. Staff is super friendly. Property is clean and pleasant. The elevator sucks. There is only one and it is slow. The rooms are large and well appointed. AC was a little slow. Breakfast was as advertised. All around great place except single elevator sadness.

I loved the room and the breakfast! We were all treated very well. We had some trouble checking in but they sorted it all out. Although the guy across the street didn't help so much, everything went well as he wanted everyone was very kind. I will try to find a better price for the other but we grabbed the room only one day earlier. If you would recommend it if you want a good hotel with an excellent location. There is an HEB in front but closes at 9pm, there is construction right now but we do not care, and you can enter the Riverwalk a block away.

Convenient, comfy, clean, and affordable! This hotel was right at one of the stops on the Hop on Hop off tour we took! The eggs were terrible, but the rest of the breakfast was very well done. It was a very busy time for the hotel but everything was spotless and very quiet! A good value.

Room was clean. Lobby was clean. Breakfast was fine, it's as continental as it gets. No vending machines, just a very over priced "market". $6 for a single Hot Pocket, no way. Good price on the rooms and walking distance to a lot of places.

We had a brief overnight stay at this hotel. In our short stay, we had several interactions with the staff and everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, and for the most part well maintained. Even though it's been recently remodeled, I did spot some damage to the shower stall and bathroom fan. The pillows were a little too soft, but beds we're well made and clean. The hotel is located directly across the street from an HEB (grocery store), so one could easily stock the mini fridge if staying for a few days. Our room also came with a microwave. TV was a little small, and channel selection was limited but did include both HBO and Showtime. Breakfast was the usual fare you would expect from a hotel like this. Nothing spectacular, but a good enough selection for a quick bite to eat in the morning. Parking was free at the hotel, but you will need to get a pass from the front desk. Hotel It is located within a 5 to 10 minute drive to the Alamodome, Tower of America's, and convention center. You do not have to get on a freeway to reach these locations. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and if we travel to this area of San Antonio again this hotel will be on our list of possible places to stay.

This hotel is pleasantly surprised by how well it is its value for money. Good bed, clean and good breakfast for very little money.

After staying at the worst best western ever the night before, this la Quinta was a breath of fresh air. Clean, big room, kind staff. Let us check in two hours early. Pet friendly with no additional fee. Breakfast was pretty decent as far as continental breakfasts go. Walkable to historic district and river walk. Highly recommend.

Excellent place, rooms and overall all the hotel remodeled, the only detail is that there seems to be ants.

I will say this hotel is nice and my room was nice and spacious, however the shower had mildew and mold all long the shower walls and there was hair from whoever was in our room before us. I won't be staying here again, nor will I recommend it. It may look nice from the outside but be mindful.

Stayed overnight and the room was nice and clean. Very quiet when I stayed. I was able to get to the river walk fairly easily. Good location. I like that there was a bike path and bike rental place close by. Breakfast was alright for what it was. Would stay again.

Very nice, clean, very friendly. Of the best locations without paying so much. You walk to Riverwalk, you have a supermarket next door and you are two blocks from the I35

It was a very nice welcome. The sitting area was neat and clean. Receptionist was very nice and understanding when we didn't have the company card with us and allowed us to contact our company for them straighten everything out. The rooms were roomy. The restroom, though, had black mold in the shower part. Just a few spots, but gross nonetheless. Also, the shower wasn't clean very well. Other than that, it was a nice overnight stay. The breakfast was nice and had a nice selection.

Really nice hotel. Newly renovated. Clean & comfortable. It's still got that 'corporate', 'chain', 'cookie-cutter' vibe; but, hey, at least it's a VERY nice 'cookie-cutter'! ;) Besides, some people love that vibe. The place is affordable, especially for the location. The staff's super friendly. The walk-in shower is enjoyable, but if we stay here again, my wife & I are definitely gonna get the jacuzzi tub room. Finally, you're just a brisk 15 min walk from the Riverwalk!

Great breakfast! Nice outdoor pool and hot tub, gym. They have a little convenience area inside in case you forget anything. We got a king bed with a sofa bed. They have nice duvets. Very very nice, newer hotel. It is about 10 minutes from the center of the River walk. About 15 minutes from Lackland AFB.

I just stayed at this hotel located near Market Square on Cesar Chavez in San Antonio last weekend. I would give this hotel five stars if not for some small issues. The hotel is just finishing up construction and the parking was a bit of an issue both nights. You had to come in really early to find a spot. Also, the elevators were pretty slow, old and very hot. The renovations are fabulous. Our room was beautiful and very clean except for some dirt on the toilet seat cover and the AC unit. The staff was very friendly and accommodated my request for a high floor room and the view was fabulous at night. The breakfast was fantastic serving waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast, cereal, bagels, etc. The location is wonderful and the price is terrific. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

Loved the newly updated La Quinta (LOVE ❤️ the new colors and modern look)! Rooms were very large, spacious (2 fulls plus a sofa sleeper) and clean. Hotel is in a very good location (5 min to Alamo, 20 to Sea World). Have already tagged this hotel in my favorites and it will now be my go to hotel when in San Antonio. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful and checkout is at 12:00, so you can sleep in.

Stars were given only for the nice staff, great location, and ok beds. Only 1 elevator was operating, there were constantly long lines waiting. Not a whole lot the staff could do to control that… but the lobby and hallways were often in a mess! Our room had major water damage covering the corner wall/ceiling and all of the ceiling above the window. Proper repairs weren't done, only painted over which the water damage was seeping through. This entire location just got a complete overhaul = new carpet, new paint, updated outer image, new furnishings… so why couldn't they address the water damage during the updates. This location has lots of potential, just poor ownership is how it looks! I will post pictures of the water damage and lobby/hallway mess too if you'd like to check it out.

Pet friendly, complimentary parking. We stayed 2 nights, no complaints at this hotel. Very roomy. The elevator was old and run-down but worked; they were renovating the front of the hotel, which we weren't notified about, but it only caused the inconvenience of parking and entering through the back. Breakfast was really good including eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. The 2nd morning had a different selection, very large selection and breakfast area. We enjoyed our stay, it was clean. Would definitely stay here again if ever in San Antonio, close to downtown attractions.

I gave it 2 stars for the staff and breakfast! My room was dirty the tub would get flooded toilet didn't work great and had extra company that weren't invited (roaches) the staff took care of it quick the room got fumigated and tub/toilet got taken care off so a A+ for staff but room.

I love the cleanliness of the hotel throughout, the staff as young as they were, were very friendly and professional and our room was great for my family. It came with a microwave and small fridge which travelers know can save money from buying fast food. The breakfast is delicious and warm, just be sure to be an early bird before the food is gone. I also love the fact that their is someone patrolling the hotel all hours of the night which made me and my wife feel a lot more comfortable parking where we couldn't see it from our windows. La Quinta has never failed to impress me and my next booking will definitely be with them again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay close to the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Great job La Quinta.

We stayed for one night on New Year's Eve. We had a lovely King Suite. We walked to River Walk … about Six blocks away. Nice HEB store across the street from the hotel.
Lovely breakfast in the AM but get down early as it was very crowded later on with no place to sit even though they have a very large eating area. Staff was very nice. The only negative is the elevator. There are 6 floors in this hotel so you need to use the elevator and it is quite small and very slow. There were two elevators but one was not working. That is the only reason I did not give this hotel five stars. We had a parking place but we checked in early.

It was a awesome experience, I enjoyed every bit of time I spent. It was a blast and my family enjoyed. Talking about free Wi-Fi and breakfast. I'm definitely booking next year for another summer vacation.!

I booked on Expedia for June 25, 2016. I requested a crib for my 3month old when I arrived to my room no crib was I'm site I asked this skinny girl at front desk and her answer was they did not not provide any cribs. I mentioned that I had requested a crib on line and her response was "Well they don't know what we have". Well that was that. Headed back to my room and as I was pulling out the sofa bed so that me and my baby would sleep in there was two shoes left behind the couch! Shows you how this people clean the rooms. Rooms are out dated and dirty matress are old. Water in the pool looked very dirty also. I haven't stayed in La Quinta in a long time. I remember them being so clean not anymore at least not this one. Location is a good price breakfast was good and parking is free my biggest complain it just feels very dirty and outdated. Will not stay here again. I'm sad that La Quinta has come to this.

Overall our stay was great. We arrived in San Antonio very late at night and we were lucky enough to get the last room. We were greeted by a very friendly front desk attendant. She was even nice enough to give us a late check-out because of how late we came in. When we got to our room it was lovely and very clean. The bed was comfortable and overall the room was very spacious. It had Days Inn room amenities like a fridge and a microwave. The whole hotel seemed very well maintained. Even the elevator that usually gets neglected was clean and in good working order. The breakfast in the morning had lots of options and was very filling. The hotel was very close to the event we were attending and they even offered maps of the area. Even though we were only there for the night, because we had to head back home, I wish we could have stayed another night. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're going to stay in San Antonio!

Very pleasant stay. The location is good. It's an easy 15 minute walk to the Riverwalk and right across from Bill Miller's BBQ where the food is delicious and inexpensive. The staff at this La Quinta was friendly, helpful and responded quickly to fix the phone in our room. The bed was comfortable.

I got to the hotel super early and my room was already prepared. The staff is awesome! My room, really nice. Only complaint, the tub needs to be replaced, it is just old. I don't mind the walk to the convention center. The breakfast was really nice. Plus, it's right next to am HEB!

Front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are well kept and the hotel looks very nice. I stay at La Quunta regularly because they are very welcoming to dogs.

This location was one of the best LA Quintas I've ever stayed in. Very large rooms, great hottub and pool, decent workout room and amazing location. Breakfast wasn't half bad either. It was a little busy while I was there due to the big events going on in downtown, but overall it was a wonderful 3 day stay. I'd definitely stay there again.

I stayed at La Quinta from the 14th to the 16th and it was a pretty decent stay. Service was good, however the look of the rooms was ok.

I've stayed in much better La Quinta. I only stay at LaQuinta and this one needs much improvement. The location is great to downtown for walking and the staff was just ok. Several LaQuinta in the area, I suggest finding another.

Good value for the price. Rooms are clean, everything works as it should. Convenient to downtown but far enough away from downtown traffic. I would definitely stay here again.

We took a vacation in Las Vegas and we came Back home to San Antonio. We didn't want to go home yet so we did a staycation. We stayed all this week and we didn't have any problems. The staff was great, the A/C was great, beds are comfy, the rooms are big with sofa and it's close to Mi Tierra as well. We enjoyed our stay. The best part is that Pets Stay free! Love it!

My husband and I stayed here on Sept 6, 2015. We made a reservation prior to getting into town at 11:30pm. Our first room's a/c unit had a leak and was dripping. The entire surrounding carpet was wet, the room smelled of mold, the bathroom was not clean, and the fire alarm/smoke detector had a plastic bag taped around it. Went to the desk to request a new room. Our second room had not been vacuumed under the tables and chairs. I was willing to overlook this. However, our bed was disgusting. There was a giant yellow pee stain on the duvet cover. I aprehensively went to smell it and it smelled clean, so I was willing to assume that their staff doesn't know how to use bleach. I removed the duvet and planned on sleeping with just a sheet, and then noticed fresh makeup on it. I don't wear makeup. The same makeup was all over the pillow cases. These lazy dicks didn't wash any part of the bed spread. We called down to request new sheets, pillow cases, etc. They were prompt to bring us a new set. The new set smelled very stale (like dust and mold) and the pillow cases had multiple stains. Found hair on the pillow cases. They also smell oddly of… farts? This hotel is rancid. At this point, it is now 1am and I cbf to find a different dog friendly hotel where I'm going to pay full price for 5 hours of sleep. I am luckily able to use our dog as a clean pillow. We will be reporting this hotel to the bureau in the morning, and will be contacting management.

For any one thinking about staying here please read! usually I never write reviews but after staying here I had to I first they didn't have any two bed rooms so I had to buy one bed rooms and I had to sleep In a pull out bed because I didn't want anyone to sleep in it, the hotel is out dated the elevators are supper slow they are so old! the bathrooms where not clean I woke up with bed bug bites on my back. And I payed around 135 a room before taxes please spend a little more money on a better hotel downtown!

Booked through Expedia not knowing much about this particular hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff. Unfortunately, the rooms were not as pleasant. One room looked as if it had not been cleaned out prior to us checking in, dirty laundry and sheets were found behind the sofa. The other room we booked did not contain clean towels or toiletries. I notified the front desk immediately but unfortunately housecleaning was not available.

Called to do reservations, the gentlemen was very nice and even made a note of when we'd arrive since we were arriving at an odd time. I would have rated 5 stars, but our microwave smelled like burnt coffee. The beds like mentioned are small for two adults.

Im rating it a two because although its a decent hotel and not to far from the main downtown attractions, the price is alot cheaper than the hotels closer to the river walk. However, my husbands company gets a discount at all La quinta hotels and we also have La quinta returns card. When we asked the girl at the front desk about it she seemed puzzled but asked for our company and returns card anyways and after a few seconds told us the price wasn't changing when she typed our info in BUT I think she was probably new and didn't know how to do the discounts. Unfortunately she was the only one working so we had to book the room for full price. My second issue was our room was DIRTY! It had a funky smell. The sofa had white stains on it. The bathroom had what looked like blood on the floor and wall by the shower. There was bright red hair strands in the shower. I mean if the room was cleaned properly, why was this stuff there? and the beds were rock hard. In downtown san antonio its hard to find a happy medium hotel. Its either the big fancy over crowded ones on or across from the riverwalk or the ones a few blocks away for a cheaper price but also not as well maintained. You get what you pay for.

We stopped in here for a night on our trip across the country. When I walked in to check in there was nobody in the lobby. The woman behind the counter took a good 4 minutes to even look up and tell me that she would be right with me. After that, she proceeded to do another 5-6 minutes of paperwork and then ask me what I needed. We had a reservation and she got to that okay but told us we would be on the 2nd floor. When we made the reservation we asked for a 1st floor room since we have our dogs. She said that we had to take what she had since it was all they had left. Fine. We got to our room and not 10 minutes had passed when another traveler opened our door. Apparently they had also been given our room. She was nice and went downstairs to deal with it. Hopefully she was taken care of. After a bit, I walked downstairs and asked where we could get delivery. The same front desk girl handed me menus and we looked through and made a choice. After that, we noticed that there was already a menu in the room for room service from a local restaurant. Why would she not tell us that? They have sodas and sweet tea for sale downstairs but no bottled water. Odd. The breakfast was okay but not as much variety as other La Quinta's that we've been to. Well, we got our food delivered and then went to sleep. We're now getting our act together to get checked out and away from this mess. We won't likely be back to this one. Good thing there are LOTS of hotels in this area.

This place is a good combination of value, location and amenities. Pool was pretty nice although it had a lot if leaves in it. Breakfast wasn't very good, but seems standard. Rooms clean and pretty standard as well. Walkable to good restaurants. Easy bus to more distant riverwalk area sites.
