If I could rate my experience here lower stars I definitely would. The website portrays a nice hotel, beautiful lobby, rooms and pool. My mother, a family friend and I had to come to Knoxville due to my grandmother passing away. We booked a room for Friday night due to check out Sunday. The initial room we were placed in was 412 as soon as you get off the elevators it reaked of mold and mildew. The room was not cleaned, we mentioned it to the front desk worker (older white gentleman) who literally only apologized and nothing more. The morning shift woman said that she would never put anyone on the 4th floor and moved us and upgraded our room downstairs where the room again was not properly cleaned (blood on the wall), she tried to help and we extended our stay until Monday. In changing the stay they hit the credit card on file not once but twice for the extended stay amount. The pool was not able to be used, their "bar" was shut down on a Saturday night. And their staff doesn't seem to care to help people out who are paying for certain things in an establishment that they fail to meet even though advertised. Their general manager which seems to be the only one to handle any of the problems we experienced was out of town… I asked the Saturday evening employee when she would return and his answer was probably Friday. So for an entire week the general manager of a hotel just leaves with no relief or another employee who can address these issues in a fashionable manner?
