Terrible stay at this Hilton Garden Inn location in Jackson MS. Noisy & disrespectful guests (a debate team from the Mississippi University for Women) in the room next to us two nights in a row. There was banging against the wall, drinking and slamming of doors constantly all night until well after 2AM. Valet parking was terrible and management was unprofessional at every level. Called the front desk… spoke with Sherita (Night Audit Clerk) and tried to explain what was happening. She replied… what do you want me to do… send security upstairs all night long? Specifically General Manager BRIAN BERRY at the Jackson MS location left a horrible taste in my mouth about this hotel brand altogether. Upon complaining to him at checkout about our experience he was not interested, he was unprofessional by being sarcastic in his responses to us and lastly, he displayed real signs of incompetences when it came to being knowledgeable about his job and the Hilton brand that he's being paid to represent. It's clear that he doesn't know the definition of hospitality or customer service. Because Ive always loved this city and this particular hotel location I am deeply saddened by the display of behavior from management. BRIAN BERRY as General Manager at this location or any other Hilton location is a grave MISTAKE! I hope that at some point Hilton designs a coaching and mentoring program for managers who get caught up in their job titles but forget how to carry out their job responsibilities. Everyone has consequences for their acrions no matter what brand they represent or job titles they hold. Won't give up on the Hilton brand but will think twice about spending any more hard earned money at this particular location as long as BRIAN BERRY is on the payroll.
