If you’re in the area this place will blow you away. Stayed in a mini apartment; living room, kitchen with stove, pots and pans, full size refrigerator, bedroom, 2 TV’s. Place even has a grill you can use to bbq. Yeah you read that right a grill and breakfast. Stay was above board, checked in with Candace and she set the tone for everyone. Friendly, professional and welcoming, bravo Marriott!

Third visit to Pennsylvania and this Towneplaces location is terrific. Staff is friendly, and attentive. Clean, quiet and serene. Places to eat a stone throw away and the best movie theatre ever in the adjacent parking lot. Love it here.

Hotel parking lot and lobby were well lit. Staff was friendly as can be. The rooms were spacious with all the amenities. The problem was the attention to detail in the cleanliness of the room. I found so many long hairs in the weirdest locations… on top of the TV, behind the curtain on the window, and though not weird, in every part of the bathroom.

A clean hotel with reasonable rates where we stayed after a day of skiing at Montage Mountain. They gave us a free upgrade at check-in. There's a hot tub and pool. There's also a free breakfast, which is pretty bad, but no worse than other continental breakfasts at comparable hotels. Our room had a good view of the minor league baseball stadium.

A favorite amongst hundreds of motels. TownePlace has all the amenities I appreciate and without the fuss. Service and staff are Marriott special, quietly competent and friendly and genuinely helpful.

Very nice staff, very efficiently designed rooms. Overall great experience and would highly recommend if in the area and need somewhere to stay for a decent price.

Having stayed at a handful of Marriott hotels, I would have to say this one is above average. The service was well-mannered, forgiving, and very polite. I also greatly appreciated the little fire pit they had running at night, might have been my favorite feature.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, great location. Small amount of traffic noise, and sounded like an elephant was in the room above. Made use of the complimentary airport shuttle (5am) to meet AVP early flights. Although breakfast isn't available at 5am (breakfast opens 6:30am), yoghurts, coffee, and cereals are available and you can still meet the early flights. All-in-all, a pleasant stay.

Very nice hotel. The staff are excellent. The rooms are very nice and clean. The free breakfast is free so what you get is what you get. Whenever I have to travel back to Pittston for work again, this will be the hotel I stay at from now on.

May be a nice hotel but an $100 FEE for pets is ridiculously high. That's not a deposit, that's a fee on top of the room. Beware some of the discount hotel sites list it as a deposit but I called them directly and it is a fee (for cleaning). I get it if there is pet mess found but not as up front additional cost.

Nice cozy place with friendly staff. However, there is scope of improvement to their house keeping services. It's good but not consistent.

Pretty close to one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Within a week period my room was not serviced for three of those days. When it was towels we're not hung just placed on the table or sink. Beds looked as if they were just thrown together. Evidently this hotel does not take pride in it's rooms or service. I travel for work quite often and this is one of the worst service I have ever received from a Marriott hotel.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Other than a tough check-in involving moving rooms 3 times because they couldn't get room keys working, its a good hotel for the price.

Room was not cleaned properly dirty and wet dish cloth in the sink, sheets with hair had to change room. I choose Poconos for our wedding anniversary. Front staff was really nice.

Inexpensive, extremely clean. Nice for a weekend getaway with a fully equipped kitchen. Could use some vending machines.

Wonderful hotel in an excellent location! Love the king suite! Amenities are great, friendly staff and very clean hotel. I'd definitely stay here again. Pet friendly, too!

The room was clean and nicely decorated. There was a lot of storage space for longer term guests. The small kitchenette came with utensils, a pot, and plates. The mattress for the sofa bed was thin and when the sofa bed is open, the path to one side of the main bed is blocked. Free full breakfast till 10am.

Very nice hotel in a quaint area near Montage. The room was clean and the full kitchen was a big plus. All of the staff members were helpful and friendly.

Great hotel for a short or long stay. The rooms are large and come with a kitchen and full sized fridge and freezer. Helpful and nice staff.

Beautiful hotel set in a convenient location to access 81 and the Shoppes at Montage. Very friendly staff and nice little business center. Loved the fire pit outside to relax at after work.

Always a pleasant experience. The staff is nice, always greeting you with a smile and a warm hello and quickly responds to your needs. The dining/breakfast staff is especially awesome!

Stayed one night before bringing my daughter to University of Scranton. Great check-in experience. As a rewards member they let me spin a wheel to win prizes (free snack from their store, added rewards points). The rooms were very clean. Overall the property seems well managed. Definitely will return.

Staff were kind and courteous. The stay though, terrible. 169 dollars a night plus tax and the bed was like sleeping on stone, the pillows had no support. Couldn't sleep at all because I was so uncomfortable. Not to mention in order to have usable Wi-Fi to do anything you have to pay 4 dollars a day extra. You cant even stream a video in 240p thats how bad the free Wi-Fi is. I usually stay at fairfield in a nearby town and its cheaper, yet the Wi-Fi is free and very fast, beds are comfortable to where you can actually sleep through the night and be rested the next day. I really wish I could get a refund cause I stayed to get a break from work for a few days, ended up being a waste of vacation days and a loss of a few hundred dollars.

1st room 418 was not cleaned from previous occupants. The 2nd room 230 they gave us was already occupied. This is the 2nd time I used Marriott. I have never had this happen to me in all my travels.

The breakfast seating area was a bit small but everything else was great. Service was good, the room were clean, and breakfast was also pretty good.

Clean rooms and great service. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Included breakfast is pretty good. Rooms have mini kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave. Convenient location off I-81. I drive regularly between Ontario and Virginia and I always stay here — it's exactly halfway.

Nice hotel, great location, suites are spacious, friendly service. Didn't give 5 stars the beds are too firm for my liking.

Two of the rooms that my grandparents were staying in didn't have any A. C. It was 85 degrees inside the rooms and that night was around 90, so it was pretty hot both inside and outside. But the mechanic did come in around 10 at night and threw out the A. C. In both the rooms and replaced them. So I was glade about that.

Great family rooms with 2 bedrooms and full kitchen. Very friendly staff. Great outside fire pit with big cushioned chairs, great for family gatherings.

This placed lacked the fanciness I have seen in other I work at a Marriott and this is nothing compared to mine which says a lot cause these are like full housed rooms with silverware and big fridges and all that fun stuff and the one I work at has the basics mini fridge and the usual. Anyway the first point is I had expected a lot more to this hotel the staff is very friendly but the rooms and even the pool could use some real work to them. I first checked in to my room to notice the thermostat on the wall didn't work so they changed rooms across the way and the heat don't even work I got it on 80 and it feels like winter in here so fix those things would be great. Second the pool area lacks the special big pool concept were as I saw pictures online and they looked great but didn't match what was REAL! also went to go in the hot tub and its luke warm can't even get a relaxing hot tub at a hotel this is not expectable on top of that I couldn't even figure out how to turn the hot tub on too so yeah no directions as well as not heat problems! Lastly I would like to say these review of this hotel being pet friendly you have to realize they are paying 100$ for that straight up when they check in so its them doing the suffering not you suck it up. That is all I hope breakfast is good, but from the other reviews I've read it's packed in the morning and no where to sit so figures crossed on this one.

Good service, fast check-in and very helpful at free breakfast with the kids on the day before Easter (they had crayons and eggs with candy! ). Nice touch. Room was decent, not as large as most "suite" type hotels, but it was ok for 2 adults and 2 kids. Nice little kitchenette with full size fridge and sink. Overall, a good stay.

Great service at check in. Location is right next to Scranton PA (8-10 minute drive). Rooms are perfect for double bunking. The bed that comes out of the couch, however, is very uncomfortable with the springs. I would suggest just using the couch.

Beds are very comfortable and the sheets are super soft! Staff is awesome… Real close to shopping and restaurants.

The hotel is very convenient to the highway and shopping. However, it is placed in a very scenic spot overlooking the mountains and I heard no road noise. The room was clean and beds comfortable. We had a kitchen that had plates and dinnerware for 4. Very clean! Hotel staff was polite and helpful. I would definitely return and recommend!

This is the most comfortable, hospitable, and cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at. My co-worker and I stayed in one of their two bedroom suits. It was more like being in an apartment than a hotel. Not to mention housekeeping was amazing. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and willing to help anyway possible. The fire pit outside it a great place to hangout and get to know people from all over. Be careful your stay here might be so good you will want to move in for good.

A great location for a hotel property. Stayed here for 3 days during our visit to poconos area to celebrate my other half's birthday. I informed the staff before hand that it was my wife's birthday so they arranged for a goodies bag, birthday card and a cup cake. Staff here is very helpful and nice. The property is very clean and does not look dated at all. The included breakfast options are quite standard. Only thing which bothered us during our stay was when the Fire alarm was triggered at night it took a good an hour & half for fire department to fix it, during that time all the guests including us had to sit outside of hotel because the noise of alarm is not possible to bear. Also there was a dirty shower water supply for one day due to a fire in the area. Overall a decent stay!
