Fair room for the cost. I've stayed here on two occasions. First time it was very difficult to get a Wi-Fi password, the clerk was a bit argumentive stating it's location in the room, couldn't understand that it was missing. Second stay my key card wouldn't work, it was reset and still didn't work. The clerk came to the room and let us in. This attendant was quite friendly and understanding.

The only positive I saw in this hotel was the price other than that it was a terrible experience. Right when we entered the room it was extremely hot, we put the A/C on but within an hour it was no longer working properly which left the room hot all night. Another thing we had to deal with right when we got there was a cockroach we had to kill. The handle to open the under sink area had no handle but instead a rusty screw to open it. Inside the sink area was insulation just thrown around in there. The room was overall dirty and not a fun place to stay. If you're looking for a cheap hotel this is it but otherwise I'd stay clear.

BEWARE! … This is the most BED BUG infested place in the State. Who they paid to write good reviews. First off I have video of the bed bugs crawling on my mattress I wish I could post it but I can't. When I went and told the Very Very Very rude female manager she looked at me like I was lying until I showed her the video. I had 4 hypothermic needles behind my bed one with drugs still in them. The police is there every night because of all the drug dealing that gies on there. If you want to get good rest. Forget about it. There are ten families that live in the hotel with kids. Running around at night. This place is awful. The maids dont clean good at all. Walls are dirty cob webs in every corner. I had dried up food plastered all over my room. I made the mistake of not viewing my room before I paid for a week. If you're desperate enough to stay in this rat hole inspect your room real good. Oh and look under the air conditioner every room has roach traps hidden.

It was terrible. At first when I came to get a room the woman was saying I couldn't have the room without a credit card when I have been here before and used cash. Then the room looked as if it had water damage, the floors were damp, it smelled like mold, pee on the toilet, the covers and sheets had burn marks all through it, the wall paper is falling apart, had no shampoo and conditioner and when told they had attitude, and all this before the morning. The morning I ended up over sleeping and they threatened me with the police. Not only was this a terrible stay but I left completely unsatisfied. 12:55pm Fri, May 25, 2018

Good prices clean rooms friendly staff.

I would rate no stars if possible. Do not stay here. Got a king room for my birthday weekend thinking its a place to relax but I was wrong. Walking into the room, the horrible smells damn near knock you back out the room. Luckily I had air freshener and was able to get the smell gone after a while. The rooms look nothing like the photos online. Be prepared to see wall paper coming off the walls and so much dirt residue on both the main door and bathroom door. The blankets and curtains has holes in them. Nasty smears and fingerprints on all three mirrors in my room. The fridge and microwave was visibly dirty which was upsetting since I had brought food for my stay. Me and my boyfriend had to take clorox wipes and disinfect spray out the car to clean it the night we checked in. The next morning when im ready to use the restroom I see the toilet and immediately felt sick. Maybe they wipe out the inside of the toilet, but the outside on the seat and around the whole toilet was dirt and hair. I called the front desk at 7:30am asking for someone to come clean it and they offered me gloves and said that the cleaning crew dont come to work till 830 or 900am. So I put bags over my hands and got my cleaning products and took care of it myself that way I can atleast make sure its cleaned correctly. Cleaning crew never came btw. So had I not did it myself I wouldve been waiting for them to not show up.

The rooms are nice. It's right off the highway. … easy off and easy on. The employee's are very nice so is room service. It's quite and hardly any loud traffic of other guest's. There is a small laundry room on site.

The bed is broken and in the Bureau of the lava hands had excrement of mouse.

Clean room, slept like a baby. Had an awesome stay over all. I saw Deepti when I checked in late yesterday and this morning when checking out. She was very respectable and polite. I am making note of this Inn's location for any of my future needs. Other staff members were professional and respectable too.

Love their jacuzzi room, good rates. Come here often for little "STAYcations"

For economy this is an okay place. Some rooms are better than others. Great water pressure though. Very nice staff.

Room was decent, however Wi-Fi was extremely slow and cable was low quality despite having a smart TV in the room. Room in question also had a small crack in the door frame and window frame, but still seemed to hold the heat well enough.

I got a room lastnite and went to lay down and the sheets were obviously not changed. There was dried blood on the sheets in a few places and it wasn't a blood stain it was fresh. Needless to say I didn't even lay in thst bed I didn't wana bother calling up front because I have bad other experiences when I had real complaints and issues. Sad to say id choose the BUDGETT inn over here. And the least you guys could do is get Netflix back in the rooms nobody in a hotel over 50$ should only get basic antena tv, a whole 10 options. Dont waste your money staying here.

The free Wi-Fi is extremely slowm.

Ive stayed here with my boyfriend when he comes to visit a lot. We both love this place. It's close to gas, food, and some stores. It's generally clean and reasonably priced.

Stayed here for a bit of time is not a bad place to stay. Resonable prices and descently clean rooms.

If I could give this place a negative one that's what I would give it. It was an awful stay. Very disgusting. It smelled awful. It's really bad when you have to clean your own room. Which included the bathtub the toilet the room. I went to the store and bought plastic to put over the bed. I had no other choice because I was in a bind. I will never make that mistake again. Not to mention the Nats.

Not a place for children people are dropping over dead because of drug overdoses prostitute run amuck and you will be sexual assulted by a gay housekeeper. Bedbugs all over.

Very affordable. Nighttime staff very pleasant and easy to work with. Very specific decor choice that are VERY indicative of the reason this hotel exists and functions as it does.

Been coming to this hotel many years great people staff and pool. Could use a little more cleaning.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. All I need to describe this place is one word: cockroach. There were holes in the walls, everything was dirty, the rooms were suppose to be none smoking and there were ciggarette burn holes in the blankets and sheets and they would not give my family their money back. Then threatened to call the cops after calling her boss on her cell about whether or not she can give us a refund. And we found a cockroach! We left imedately right after. Do not stay here.

Really really terrible. Last minute booking for overnight stay and all the other hotels in the area were full or only had smoking rooms left. We had a reservation at another hotel but they gave us a "non smoking" room that smelled like it had only been non smoking for 2 minutes but was smoked in for 10 years. The Scottish Inn had 1 non smoking room left at $69 so we booked it. Unfortunately the toilet was dirty. Carpets dirty. Dead bolt on door wouldn't lock. The "manager" was an 18 year old kid who couldn't fix the lock and never sent anyone to clean the toilet even though we called the front desk 5-6 times. Only rooms left here were smoking rooms. With no options left we slept fully dressed in our jeans, shirts and socks with the table against the door for some sense of protection. We bought our own cleaning supplies that the front desk person gave us $10 for reimbursement. If you are planning on visiting Gettysburg-Hershey area during a holiday weekend, book early.

Its good motel and a good option for HU students.

I want there to visit my parents while they were staying there. The room was nice and clean.

We have stayed at this Inn two times. The first visit we had a different room it was OK. The second visit room 121 was not OK the inside of the door was extremely filthy the curtains would not close all the way there were cob webs in the corners a hole in the carpeting and there was a square shape on the celling were it appears that they removed a mirror. They should have painted to cover that up. Not enough pillows they were flat any way the mattress was like sleeping on concrete. The sink had a bad smell coming from the drain. The AC unit and the TV were the only good things about our stay. There is more to tell but I will not stay there again.

Great service for the TV, close to good places to eat and delivery, nice to spend a night away from the house with a significant other for low cost.

Not very attentive staff and a confusing pet policy. I put that we were traveling with dogs when booking, but when I got to the desk there was a no dogs sign out… I inquired and they charged the pet fee, but instead of just $10 it was $10 per pet, per night with no convenient garbage cans for waste. The room smelled very smoky, even though it was non smoking. The second night the door came open in the middle of the night randomely. I'm so lucky my dogs aren't door bolters since the highway was only a few hundred yards away! We informed them of this problem at check out the next morning. They did not offer us a discount or refund. I do not recommend staying at this location, especially with Motel 6 right next door — stay there instead. Or one of the other dozens of hotels.

The Scottish Inn was very convenient being right next to the highway. The rooms are also very well priced, our stay was just $50 for the night. Keeping in mind this is a 2 star hotel, the rooms aren't glamorous but they are comfortable. The furniture looks to be in good condition, there was a large TV with Roku and actually pretty good Wi-Fi. As a note, not the reason I took a star off, the bathroom is very weirdly proportioned with the counter rather low and the mirror so low you have to bend down to see in it. The reason I did take off a star was because there were some flies in the room and the sheets didn't look super clean. However, I would definitely stay again, overall a good experience.

For the price, it's a great value. The room I stayed in was in great shape, maybe the furniture isn't the newest, but it was comfortable, clean, and a good size room.

Stayed here for weeks and every room I entered was dirty whether it was trash on the ground to the bathroom not being cleaned properly. Recently payed for a room for a week and we were told to leave a day early after being told countless times we were good till saturday morning and even asked pretty much every day when we had to leave and told the same thing every time that we were good til saturday morning and we helped clean rooms and got nothing in return.

I have booked rooms at the scottish inns for a number of years. The rooms are always clean, the mattress is comfy and the rates are incredibly reasonable. I have tried other motels in the area with similar prices and none compare.

My wife and I are travelers and are platinum members at several hotel chains. We have been traveling around the south east coast of the U. S. For the past two years and have stayed at hundreds of hotels, some were very nice… some not so great. The Scottish Inn in New Cumberland has been one of the most pleasurable hotels we've stayed at. The rooms are clean (very important) the staff are polite and very efficient. The Patels manage the property very professionally. It has all the amenities including a beautiful "clean" pool, continental breakfast and most important a smile and a hello everyday. Also, the desk manager James, is one of the nicest and most accommodating clerks I've had the pleasure to know. Not only is the price of a room very affordable, You can rest assure your stay will be a wonderful experience. We recommend it to everyone.
