Nice restaurant, great food and awesome staff!

Brought the family out and had a great time visiting for the weekend. Very friendly environment and very hospitable. Golf course is in superb condition and pace of play was awesome.

Have played a few times with New York friends. Course not bad BUT old man in cart are is a racist or trying out for the part. Told some guy named Jake and he just made excuses for him. Never play there again. Our guys will go elsewhere.

Stop overcharging seniors from out of the area. Be glad they came to your course during the pandemic. I feel like you are prejudiced and price gouging people who do not live in your “zone “! I payed full price and 6 locals I played with payed 30 some. We will never return and you will lose over 300.00 plus lunch we would have had.

We had a great time! Course was in good shape, some holes were challenging and some were easier. The cart path needing some TLC. The staff were all friendly and Price was very reasonable. Food and drinks were delicious! The rooms were roomy and bedding was comfortable. Definitely a hidden gem.

Was attending a golf fundraiser. The staff here were great. Very helpful and food in the clubhouse was perfectly delicious and plentiful. The course was beautiful and there was even a small alligator that you could see as you drove past. This is a cart only course. No walking because of the layout.

The course is in excellent condition. Brand new golf carts with gps. I love playing here. Only downside is you have to use a cart due to length between holes but that's okay.

I really do love this hidden treasure! I am not a golfer but adore watching those who embrace their joy! I stay here every time I play a Carolina beach & have frequented here for many years. The rooms are very large with comfortable beds! It’s old school place with a bit of southern charm! The staff is very friendly and accommodating! Always at home when away from home…

It's a reasonably decent course sadly not in the best shape, lot of greens were under repair, and lot of the fairways too,

Excellent, booked in for 2 nights, they booked us in an hour or two early which is great. Went out to play 9 holes (front 9 had a members comp starting, hence playing the back), could of done it twice around but decided to hit 2 balls. Back nine on the course is great, fairly wide open, not much trouble, greens in great shape and as I don't play Bermuda grass a unique test for me. One hole with a temp green — 16th. Staff very friendly and made us feel at ease. Great practice facilities too, range, putting green and chipping area. Price form 9 was $33. I play 18 here tomorrow and I expect the front to be just as good, would recommend you play here if you can.

It's really pretty and the staff are nice. The grill has decent food and drinks. The place seems to be ran by folks who all know each other outside of work. The other guests who stayed there during our stint seemed to be regulars as well as they were on first name basis with some staff members. The place was clean enough. It was spacious and in a great location for us. Two star knock because the window panes were incredibly dusty and the closest in the bedroom was like a maintenance storage area and was off limits. We didn't need it but that doesn't seem safe for families with children who "adamantly explore their surroundings".

Went to play golf and some of the greens were in pretty rough shape. The course has some nice holes and was fun to play. It looked like the rough greens were due. To severe weather and not lack of care so I would expect it to be fine otherwise but this was the only time I played here. Would definitely play again.

Half the course closed for aeration, the other half not in greatest condition. Usually a beautiful spot, but not this time. Recommend calling for condition report before booking tee time.

The course was in decent shape except for a few spots on some greens. Minus one star for the following — We played early on a Wednesday morning. They sold my buddy two range tokens… We went out, got the balls and then were told that the range was closed for mowing. The range was completely littered with balls and they hadn't even begun to start picking it. They made us walk all the way back up to the pro shop and get a refund. They could have easily let us hit our small buckets and not delayed anything. By the time we were finished with our round, the range was still not open. If you go on Wednesdays — just know that the range will be closed.

Loved this place! Huge rooms, clean and lot of amenities. Liked the balcony. Breakfast was generous and cheap. Service was also great. Definitely will be back soon!

Rooms are much bigger than expected. The building is older so you get the creaks and groans of that, but amazing experience. The view off the balconies is pretty, but not the greatest view of the actual course. The only problem was with their breakfast. Perhaps the cook was sick because I read great reviews prior to staying here.

Overall had a great golf outing. The staff was respectful and attentive. The greens we're superb.

Beautiful surroundings, very comfortable room, excellent service! We arrived at 2 AM due to traffic issues and Danielle made sure we had a key in a lockbox so that we could get in easily.

Hidden jewel in Wilmington. Spacious, immaculate rooms with view, couch TV, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Large bedroom with another TV. Bathroom was very clean with thick towels. The property is quaint but dated, however, it is maintained very well. We enjoyed the tavern and restaurant. Good food with large portions and reasonable prices. We were visiting family nearby and did not use the golf course. I would have given 5 star except for a few dated features. Definitely would return.

Driving range is poor condition. Poorly marked positions. Ground like a rock to the point of hurting my hands. Could not get a tee time for a couple hours but when I got there and hit balls 4 2 somes went off in an hour. Guess they like a lot of room between groups? Course is ok some silly holes. One has tree in front of the green? Overall not great but only 1 of 3 public courses near beach so guess not much choice.

Lovely layout! Ok conditions on course. Greens average for the price and area. Warning do not go to course early if you are a single. Call first! They have workers on the course so they prefer having foursomes go out first to slow things down. 2some’s you are good to go from 8am on. Cant get on the course as a single early. I am disabled and can’t play in the very hot weather due to medicines I take so if I can’t play takes off a star Wish I could play as a single when my buddies can’t play fun course to play!

A beautiful and affordable little getaway. I went for an overnight stay with my boyfriend and our room was extremely clean and spacious. Staff was also extremely friendly. We had breakfast in the dinning room the next morning and the food was excellent. My only recommendation is get a 2nd floor room if you can because the building is older and the floors are not well insulated.

Your hitting blind to the green almost 85% of the time, along with dealing with apartments that line certain Fairways. For the coat of $45 in the off season your better off going to Cape Fear National. With that said the course is in decent shape with good placement of the pins.

Fun course. Lots of blind shots. The course was WAY overbooked and we couldn't finish. I'm looking forward to trying there again… hopefully with a better experience.

Comfortable and spacious rooms. The Veranda Grill has very good and reasonable breakfasts and lunch. Near beaches and uptown. Staff very helpful and courteous.

Everything at the Beau is always great. From the food to the people to the golf. Love spending G time here golfing and eating.

Excellent service! Rooms very clean and efficient. Good location for our granddaughters birthday! We will return. Staff called as we were a little late because of weather, very courteous and understanding.

The best part of our stay was eating out on the veranda during a lightning storm — — the view to begin with is the golf course/driving range, so it was already just beautiful, but as the sun was setting, the lightning continued and it was just amazing; the staff were all very friendly and pretty speedy, breakfast and dinner. The rooms have a private balcony area with chairs and a table. This was super nice to sit on during the rain — deep enough of a porch that we didn't get wet. The balcony also faced the golf course and wooded area, so you didn't feel so close to town, even though it's just a few minutes from everywhere. Very nice accommodations — — our "room" was like a small apartment. One very nice bedroom (super comfortable bed, in my opinion), a real nice bathroom, and a full living room with couch, chairs and coffee tables, cable TV and the balcony. There was even a small kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave (that was clean! ) and even a sink. The whole resort was quite nice, even going through renovations. The landscaping was pretty, the parking lot was nice, and for the most part, it was peaceful.

Visited BR yesterday for an overnight stay, room was quite large and clean. Reasonable rate. I would go back again. No ice available after front desk closed at 9 pm and the drink machine out of order. Convince store on corner about 3 minutes away.

We absolutely loved this place. We have stayed many times and it's been excellent every time. The beds are so very comfortable along with the pillows. The rooms are very clean. Although I would suggest staying on the top floor. We have stayed on the bottom floor and you can hear every step the people above us make. Overall it's really a wonderful place to stay.

Played there last week for the first time and had a great time! The course was beautiful and in great shape. Unfortunately, they had not cut the greens because of the recent aeration project but none the less they still looked great just rolled pretty slow. I had a blast and will definitely be going back. The club sandwich was pretty awesome as well!

Was fantastic! The pool was very nice, prices reasonable and staff super friendly and helpful… the only suggestion woul be to maybe spruce up the patios with chairs and tables. And maybe a welvome mat. We had to borrow a chair from our neighbor because we only had one.

This is not a bad golf course… It's usually in good shape and they have a nice driving range. I don't care for the layout. I would classify it as "tricky". Blind tee shots etc.

The first time I was here with my wife, it was wonderful. This time we brought the kids, completely different experience. The pro shop person rented us a golf cart when it was just my wife and I. When I told the older gentleman in the pro shop this time I had my kids with us he told me that even members were not allowed to rent carts to ride the course! All lies! They say they are family friendly but don't believe it. I would have rated it a 1 but it is alright if the grumpy old man is not in the pro shop to lie to you. I will never come back now simply because he lied to me!

The course was beautiful! It was challenging but great fun! The course was also excellently maintained and the staff was a well oiled machine. Highly recommend this course. Two thumbs up!

The tacos on Taco Tuesday were so good! Bartender was really knowledgeable and made me a great drink. Back porch is the best place to eat.

We had our wedding here and it was amazing. The rooms are very big, nice and clean. The staff was amazing to our family and friends. The food at the bar and grill was delicious. Everyone had an excellent time from playing golf, to being at the pool and hanging out around the resort. It is conveniently located in Wilmington and it is a great wedding venue. Chelsea was the best!

Great size rooms. Bathtub/shower was household size and had a low shower head. Walls and ceiling/floors are very thin — definitely recommend being on upper floor away from stairs. Staff very nice and accommodating. Restaurant had wide variety of choices, however what I got (French toast) was a small portion but delicious.

I like the accommodations and the course is ok, but I witnessed the GM/pro cuss one of the elderly starters on the 1st tee with close to 15 people standing on the tee box because in his opinion he was not getting everyone off the tee fast enough. Then the same guy is on the course pressuring the players to "hurry up" when they are waiting for players ahead of them. Our group of 25 to 30 have been coming here for over 20 years and we all believe that Greg was completely unprofessional and disrespectful to the staff and the customers.

Our stay went extremely well from check-in to check-out… the Veranda Grille provided an excellent breakfast and the menu for lunch and dinner was suitable for our needs. Service from the Grille was excellent. Pro Shop staff was friendly and had no problems altering our tee times as we finished our morning rounds early. The course was in fair condition given the time of year and the greens were in excellent putting conditions. Maybe a little bit of better signage around the construction area to guide golfers to the next hole would e appreciated. The rooms were clean and had all you need for a short stay but if ever there is a reno to the rooms some better sound insulation between the second and first floor would be a nice change.

It was pretty chill, staff was friendly, beer was good and golf course was well manicured.

Fun and challenging golf course. Entire staff was accommodating. Except for the lady who runs the club house. She is a total witch. Wouldn't comp our food with a valid coupon, my. She was derogatively speaking to her employees in front of guest. She is very rude and unprofessional. I would like to return, but I do not want to support her salary.

Beautiful room, stunning grounds, friendly and caring staff in an excellent location. I love this place and will be staying here again next month.

First time playing the golf course and it was a really fun experience. The course was challenging but for me, a casual player, it was still enjoyable. Would go back!

The very best place to play after a lot of wet weather. Drains better than any course with in 50 miles.

Beautiful and moderately challenging course. The sand traps are tough lol! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Love this course, and always look forward to the weekends so I can play. 02/15/2016 Update: Had to lower my rating because of the changes to the landscape they are making. For some reason, they have removed several trees, bushes, and other greenery which added to the tranquility of the course. They have removed this landscape and then run it through a mulcher, so you are left viewing half shredded trees (because they didn't completely cut them down) and large piles of wood chips along with piles of branches etc. And it's not attractive. The fourteenth tee box looks more like a refuse for yard debris than a place you play golf. The course has been in this state for months, and they continue to remove more, and do little clean up. Also, the heavy machinery they are using destroys the grass and leaves heavy deep imprints, which are frequently muddy, which again, they don't repair. It's particularly bad on the back nine. My husband and I play every weekend end, and suffice it to say, we now play elsewhere.

I play at this course 1-2 times a month, it has truly come a long way in the last decade. GPS on ALL golf carts, NEVER cart path only, and the best hot dogs ever at the clubhouse!. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the course is well kept. My favorite course this side of town.
