Good price, close to beaches and town, nuttin fancy but great breakfast, cool hostess's and bargain for your money. I will be back thank you guys!

So decided to book 2 nights here for a weekend. The rooms online looked ok so I thought okay maybe we will be good. The hotel is very run down they have made some improvements but as far as cleanliness I’d give it a C. The most complaining I have is the shower /bathroom. It looked to have maybe mold around the edges and wasn’t clean. Even the shower curtain was nasty looking. The walls need to be fixed too. It was just disgusting looking. Plus when we got there the smell of the room wasn’t very pleasant. There’s boards holding the sink up too. There was a stain on my brothers quilt too. Also there was a trash can in the pool when we rode by. I wasn’t expecting a Hilton but do expect a clean room. This will be my first and last time staying there. The Red Roof inn which I stayed last year here is better than this. Very disappointing!

Terrible place! Room was dirty. The place was noisy. Breakfast staff were too busy on "smoking breaks" to prepare breakfast. Couldn't wait to leave that place.

Better trained front desk help. Better trained breakfast room help. Room cleaned better. Close parts of the motel while it is renovated. The worst motel we have ever stayed at. Rude, dirty, noisy. A total bad experience. 1 star.

The worst place I have ever stayed! We checked in and went to our room, there wasn’t a remote for the TV we immediately called for one. After waiting a couple of hours we left to spend time with family. We arrived back late in the evening and the maintenance man showed up with one! He came in and tried to turn the TV on nothing. Then he walked over to it and said it doesn’t work because you broke it! We checked out the next morning and got charged for two nights and the TV! This place is horrible!

ROACH INFESTED! This hotel is the worse hotel I ever stayed in. We came in for a funeral and all other hotels were booked. We got to the room not only did the head board fall off the wall, we were presented with roaches. So we was moved to another room, which that room had roaches also and the knob on the bathroom door was broken. The bathtubs were stained from when I guess they had mats in the tub. There was no carpet on the floors, just tile. The hotel stay was horrible and not cozy at all. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to no one. The eating area is very small. This whole place needs to be gutted out and rebuild. I only gave it one star because I was force to pick it in order to post.

I understand that there was little to no hotels available because all of the college kids were moving in and I understand that it's my fault for not making prior accomadations so I wouldn't be in this debacle. With all that aside, for the amount of money charged for a room here, it would be nice if cleanliness was made a priority. Other than that had no issues with my stay.

Staff was friendly! They did great with that. The breakfast was pretty decent. But unfortunately, the hotel really needs a thorough cleaning and/or update. It smells and feels really… moist through the halls and in the rooms. And everything is old and/or dirty. My hands felt slimy touching the hair dryer. I was afraid of bugs but I haven't seen any evidence personally. I think with some updates, it'd be a very decent place to stay! But my friend and I felt dirty the few days we stayed.

Very nice service. I was treated really good and the lady was very nice and done the reservation on the front desk fast and easy.

Front desk staff were very friendly and informative. Amenities were plentiful and well explained. Pretty standard free breakfast, but employee who stocked it was on top of things at all times, there was never a time when they were out of breakfast items. And the free cookies in the afternoon were a nice touch. The down side was the room itself. The carpet was a really dark brown, which didn't allow for me to determine where the mildew smell came from. Using the sink led to a huge water spot on the floor (probably the source). The shower seemed to drain directly into the bathroom floor, which led to wet socks. If they fix the water issues, this would be a great hotel to stay at.

Today 8/18/2018 my family and I drove up from Florida to stay overnight in Wilmington NC. Our first room we got was 250 and after leaving a few hours for dinner we came back to a room with a broken AC unit. I talked to front desk and they kindly gave us another room at 203. After setting up the room, I discovered a large cockroach crawling near the sink and cockroach droppings inside the bathroom. The room was totally gross. After talking to the fro t desk and showing her the pictures of the roach they said the best they could do is move us to another room. I checked out room 205 to see if it was cleaner than our current room with the roaches but it wasn’t. There was roach droppings surrounding the floor of the bathroom as well. This is certantly the last time my family and I will be staying at this hotel. You get what you pay for and today I spent $125 on a roach infested room. This is unacceptable.

They never specified what quality you got at this Quality Inn, and it was absolutely terrible. The service was awful and they didn't charge the right credit card, even though I specified which one. They kicked me out of my room without telling me, regardless of a reservation I made 3 months in advance. I had 4 people in my party, and they put me in a 1 king bed room. The TV didn't work, and the maintenance crew only came when it was convienent for them. When I asked for extra pillows, they said that they wouldn't get any for me. It may be cheap, but this place is terrible. Don't waste your money here.

Stay way if you can avoid beds are in very bad shape. Over all very uncomfortable…

Absolutely disgusting hotel. We got there and checked into one room and it was filthy. The bathroom was covered in dirt. The bedding had hair. I know it was not my hair because I’m a brunette and it was blonde hair. There was food on top of the fridge. We asked for a different room and it was just as disgusting. The lady up front was very respectful to my husband. She said she would refund us. If we didn’t have a refund on Monday to call back and get it fixed. I gave them two extra days because I know card transactions can take longer than one business day. We called and he said that he was not going to refund us. That we had to wait for the manager to come back from vacation. He told him that they checked the room and it was fine. The woman who we were initially working with said that people had complained all day that the rooms weren’t clean. I’m not expecting this place to be the Westin. You get what you pay for however, I do expect to have a clean bathroom floor, clean bedding and no food to be on the fridge.

The staff was friendly and courteous. The room left more to be desired. The room smelled like a sour, wet towel. There was water damage in the ceiling above the bed. There had obviously been a flood in the room or ceiling above. The air conditioning unit smelled like it was full of mold. The door to the room was broken and wouldn't latch and lock. And the bed felt like plywood. Like I said, the staff was very courteous. The individual at the front desk was very helpful when I cancelled my remaining three nights at this hotel. I was told that major renovations are due to begin in the near future.

Nice hotel, basic complimentary breakfast but they do have a waffle maker that's awesome. Staff was very friendly, rooms are clean. Hotel is a little aged but it is clean and in a convenient location. I do recommend for the price.

Honestly expected a little bit different then what we paid for considering it’s by Wyndham but I guess we couldn’t complain too much because we needed somewhere to stay that was pet friendly but the rooms smelled nasty and I didn’t even want to walk on the floors without socks or shoes on. Didn’t want to lay on the bed either because the sheets felt wet. It was fine for the night but we probably won’t be back.

Came in from Atlanta spur of the moment so this was an only option since all of the other hotels were full. Let me say that we usually stay at very nice hotels. However, a cheaper hotel is just as good as long as it is safe and clean. In this case, I smelled marijuana walking up the stairs to get to the room. The room itself was lacking but it was only for one night. Upon waking early the next morning, my husband had bites all over his forehead and my 3 year old had a roach attached to his undies. Never again. This place should be renamed Poor Quality Inn.

Rooms are clean, pool is nice "simple 5 ft pool with chairs tables and umbrellas" free breakfast with waffles french toast muffins cereal juices coffee and milk. Staff is freindly, location is nice, near restaurants and a gas station right in front for last-minute buys.

Staff is very helpful & friendly. Great breakfast each morning. Coffee & fruit available all day. Bed is comfortable, room is a good size. We have an accessible room — I'm not in a wheel chair, but am unable to stand in a shower. Everything is just right!

Booked this hotel because our usual Wyndham resort was booked. I figured it would be a close second, given the Wyndham name. The hotel rooms and hallways didn’t smell great, and it really needed to be updated. All of that aside, it wasn’t a horrible place to book a cheap room for the weekend. The day we left, we asked the front desk to deliver us an extra set of towels, which we never got. The housekeeper said they “were out”, which was super annoying.

Staff has always been great! The room's have been clean. Is this the Hilton, no, but for the price it works well! Stayed here multiple times never had any problems.

Only reason not 5 stars is we kept having issues with the key card. The staff was nice helpful the room was clean and comfortable we will stay here again.

Budget hotel, on check in the reception area smelt like smoke which is not a nice appearance for guests. Booked 2 rooms and were next door to each other which was great. First room clean and comfortable, second room sheets were stained and had to ask for new sheets to change the bed ourselves, no apology given or change rooms to a clean one. Breakfast was basic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning. Rooms were clean and beds were more comfortable than home. The kids especially loved the waffle maker at breakfast and the pool. Staff was very friendly and the location can't be beat if you want a Wilmington location instead of beach front. You can walk to Outback Steakhouse. Can't beat it.

Room is disgusting. Towels are brown, roaches run across the floors, if you come across this “great deal” please do not get fooled. Staff is rude oh and apparently they do not have a general manager to contact which I’ve never heard of. Horrible horrible, this room makes me want to sleep in my car. I will post pics but honestly we were just happy the sun was up so we could leave. Highly do NOT recommend.

It was a decent hotel. I didn't have any problems except when booking it says that one of their amenities was beach access but that isn't true.

Absolutely disgusting! Checked in and the room reeked of a musty smell, urine, and smoking. We booked a non smoking room but the smell was so bad, a family member got sick. The room was so cramped we could barely move around. We didn't stay the night and left. People should not be allowed to stay in such unsanitary conditions. Biggest waste of $150.

Well, it is 2.5 stars but this place is the dump, when we arrive it took 20 minutes to check in, even so we had reservation, I went to the shower and discover that shower head is broken, we had to wait to maintenance to arrive in order to fix it, okay, there is 3 lamps in entire room, 1 of which is broken and there is problem with other 2, I believe due to incorrect wiving only 1 lamp can be on at the time. Beds was clean, but pillow is so hard in really strange share, also mattress is hard as well so it is very uncomfortable to sleep. In the shower I discover that maide's gave me 2 conditioners instead of shampoo and conditioner. And there was some long human hair in bathtab. Room was clean (I did not see garbage or something, but overall it just did not look okay, ) sink stopper was broken, so it tool long time for water to go down. And water temperature need adjustment, there is only 2 water temperatures very very HOT of barely warm. I would not be surprise that people burn their fingers. I really enjoy breakfast, 2 eggs and 2 sausage links, but girl who work in kitchen was way to helpful practically bagging for tip, worker at McDonals do more job when serving my food, I do not tip them, why should I tip this lady. By away it makes me very uncomfortable, when some one asking for tip just for doing their job.

Stayed here for 1 night over the weekend and I was very skeptical about since it has a lot of bad reviews. But it was not bad. The breakfast was amazing! The only con is you cannot take it back to your food but I was very happy with the variety. The staff were very friendly but the room was not up to par. It could have been cleaner and it was very cluttered with a lot of unnecessary furniture. You could hear people walking outside the door which was a con. I did not see any roaches and I insepected for bed bugs and nothing there so that made me feel at ease.

This was by far the dirtiest and most miserable place we have ever stayed at. We had 2 rooms reserved for 3 days. We went immediately to front desk and requested clean rooms only to be told they were booked up. Tried to go to other local hotels, but due to it being Graduation weekend we could not move. No cleaning was done the next two days. They did give us a 10% discount (big deal) will never go back there and would suggest anyone else avoid also.

Our room was nice. The bathroom was clean and the towels are good. Breakfast is mainly prepared foods like yoghurt, cereal, oatmeal, and hard boiled eggs. They also have a waffle machine, and a variety of pastries and such that have been individually wrapped.

Not rooms pictured. Clean enough for government work, barely. Put us in oldest room possible as empty newly remodeled were feet away. Pool unusable, times for lounge and coffee, 3 hours Short of posted. Wi-Fi non functional, manager just said, " no one else complained. " No check to see. Frankly believe she wouldn't know how. Horrible.

"Quality" belies the experience. Rooms were small and stale. An old dresser was where one would store clothes. The TV was basically a computer monitor. There were holes is the comforter. And found a roach the next morning. Free breakfast was aweful! And even though we reserved directly to the hotel, it wasn't showing when we arrived. We swiped our credit card, checked the next day and they'd charged the room 3 TIMES!

I decided to go to Baymont and it is not a $200. A night room but clean and plenty comfortable… everything worked fine and the breakfast was very adequate had a good choice… the front desk and maids very accommodating… and it was convenient to all sites and downtown that we were going too… I have only one complaint, you need to get your Wi-Fi provider in and boost the signal, the signal in the room very spotty, but I went too the lobby which worked fine…

Newly renovated. Nice hardwood floors. Clean and relatively inexpensive. My parents go-to place to stay in Wilmington.

Customer Service is Excellent. Newly remodeled rooms and the Pool will be open soon!

Not a fan of the laminated wood, the shower head is dirty. I saw roaches mess in the drawers. Overall it was comfortable, the staff were friendly.

They replace the carpet with laminate flooring. Room smells fresher, but, they need to be mopped. My white socks are now as black as my black boots. Only walked in them to go to the bathroom and back to my chair. They need to mop the floors every day.

HORRIBLE! It is very moldy, the ceiling is falling down and it is way over priced. They had a cockroach and bed bug infestation also. I would not recommend this to anyone, I called the city about them! Hopefully they condemn this place!

Nothing like the photos on the website. The place liked runned down. The room was small, only a hand full of TV channels. No venting machines near my room. Walked down to front desk to get change for a 5 and the doors were locked and had to talk to the clerk through a bank teller type window. I will sleep in my car before going back to this place.

They fired GF for being Transgender. She was getting harassed by one of the housekeepers so she proceeded to tell the owner upon doing so he said verbatim "Well we are just going to let you go" So now tell me how a company can do that legally? I would never recommend ever staying at this place. By the way the owner in question is Dale.

I can say it's not the worst place on market street but it's definitely not the best. There were roaches in the room and the first night I stayed in one room the refrigerator didn't work and the shower had no hot water. The second room smelled like mold and had tiny pillows for a king sized bed. One positive thing is the people at the front desk were nice.

Clean rooms, friendly service, affordable. The Wi-Fi was very spotty, but you can't really expect much from a hotel. Would recommend.

I booked 2 rooms. Pros: they were clean and neat. The front desk was courteous and helpful. Cons: a/c was not working in one room and the bathroom in that same room had a broken door and light/fan didn't work. Over all my experience was fair.

Pictures must have been from when they first open. Rooms smell from mildew, mold on the walls and a/c units. Ceiling had water stains and bubbled drywall. They did move us from the first floor (which was bad) to the third floor (bigger room) It still smelled bad, and the drywall around the window was missing in the corner and had rust on the metal framing. I need to say that customer service was great. They called and asked how the new room was, and he asked what can we do to make this better. They allowed us to check out without being charged. They were very sorry and wanted us to be happy. I can not answer for the breakfast. The front desk people had no control over the aging and neglect. The neglect is from the owner of the Inn for not making the proper updates.

Definition of flea bag motel. Roach right outside the room. Carpet dirty upon arrival. Small small room. Dirty walls and doors. Rust in bathroom. Wouldn't stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was good but the commodations where not worth the price. They were old and outdated. Some of the fixtures had rust and mold in them. The refrigerator did not work in our room. Just not worth the price.

Nice quiet atmosphere, very vintage feeling and clean. Right next to an outback steak house and a gas station which is perfect, will come back if the need ever arises.

I have to say that the continental breakfast was my favorite thing! They had so much to choose from, a quaint little place to eat, and the lady there kept everything stocked. They also have an on duty security guard, especially at all night long, which made us feel safe. The rooms were ok. The other made up for it. Staff was friendly.

Prices keep going up every single year. Always something wrong in the hotel room, either ac, fridge, or mircowave. The staff is friendly which is nice. Good breakfast in the mornings. The place needs major improvements for the prices they charge for staying.

Staff was excellent, room was nice and clean bed and sheets were clean and so was the bathroom. And the price was decent. There were people out and about but it was 4th of July. But they wasn't loud everything was great and I would stay here again.

Everyone is friendly, staff are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Rooms are small but have enough room for comfort. Great value!

We arrived at the hotel and paid $150 only to get to our room and find cockroaches, bedbug droppings, a broken lampshade, a cut phone cord, and a room that looked like someone had recently been in a fight in. When we went to the front desk to show the woman who was there she said "I only see one baby cockroach behind the toilet. " and accused my husband and I of messing the room up in the 15 minutes we were in the room before dinner. When we asked for a refund she refused and became combative, telling us we would need to call the website we booked through and proceeded to tell the man from said website she would not authorize a refund. I am appalled with the way we were treated and the conditions of our room. Don't waste your money, go to Comfort Inn University up the road for the same price and a room you can actually feel good about sleeping in.

I was going to wait until after my initial reaction to the room and premises to give a rating but it actually got worse. Asked for more pillows since the one's we got were tiny. None left. No blankets left either. Rooms old and dated. Ice machine didn't work. My other stays at Choice hotels recently are always good. This could have easily been a one star but the women who greeted me Monday evening at the desk was extremely pleasant. The one at night, not so much.

It was fine. Regular hotel, nothing too special. A little spendy. But my room was clean and the AC worked and that's all that really mattered. Had a few problems with the key cards but it was an easy fix.

I brought my dog with me to this hotel, and there was broken glass all over the pet area. The trash can in the pet area was also overflowing with regular trash and dirty diapers. There were dirty diapers on the ground. The entire outside property of this hotel could use a good clean up. The rooms are clean but outdated. The pillows are about half the size of a typical pillow… very strange. I was also charged for an additional night. The charge was eventually removed but should never have happened in the first place. Breakfast options were lacking. Front desk staff was very friendly, but I would not stay here again.

Typical Motel. The size of the room is what you will find at any motel, the bathroom was small but on par for your standard motel room. There was an unpleasant oder in the room, again not uncommon for places like this. The staff was friendly and attentive. The pool was clean, and well maintained. The location is within easy walking distance to restaurants and plenty of strip mall shopping.

We stayed for a weekend trip to the zoo. Great location, quiet, and clean. Location was perfect close to zoo, downtown, and restaurants. Front desk staff are wonderful. Janet gave us ideas for dinner, and was very sweet. She filled us in on pool hours (which was very clean), the popcorn maker in the lobby (yes fresh complimentary popped popcorn at 5pm was perfect after the pool with our movie), and the complimentary breakfast bar which was fantastic and CLEAN! Yogurt, pastries, cereal, make your own waffles, eggs, biscuit and gravy, English muffins, toast, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee. Oh and my kids got to feed the fish in the aquarium :) The room was tidy. And to be a pet hotel I would have never known! I love that they had hardwood floors in the room. We will be back for sure on our next stay!

The hotel staff is awful. The condition of the hotel is terrible. I had to change rooms twice. One was dirty the other was by a room with a dog that wouldn't stop barking. There were no working ice machines.

We left a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on our door while we went to work at 8 AM. When we returned to our room at 6:45 PM we discovered that our room had a visit by the hotel Staff even though the 'Do Not Disturb' sign was on our door. The Management has no respect for their patrons privacy. This is the last time we stay at this Quality Inn. The way it’s supposed to work is that a hotel will only violate the DND sign if they have reason to believe that health, safety or property may be an issue. Examples: 1. ) The phone system shows that 911 was dialed from the room. 2. ) The hotel staff heard loud noises coming from the room (potential property damage). 3. ) The hotel staff heard loud voices, arguing or screaming form the room (potential domestic abuse). 4. ) The DND sign has been on the door for 24-48+ hours straight (every hotel has their own standard, but health and well-being of the guest could be an issue here). 4. ) A large number of suspicious people have been seen entering or exiting the room (potential illegal activity). 5. ) Water is leaking into the room from the ceiling (someone left the tub running in the room above? Potential health issue as well as potential property damage).

Was only there for a few hours due to a very late check-in (11p. ), but exactly what I needed, a clean bed, a hot shower, and a peaceful environment.

The rooms aren't bad, not great. The A/C works great. The internet is the best I have ever used in a hotel.

When we heard a noise in the bathroom coming from the tiolet so we flushed it and it over flowed onto the floor it was clogged up with someone else's feces, there are pills on the walls and the housecleaning didn't do there job of cleaning this room we also had to check for bed bugs cause the review showed They had recently had a new big problem this morning I found I baby roach and a full grown raocg on the wall once I saw that I left… I advise you to never come to this place it's not worth your money and time! This place is a joke… SKIP IT. Upon checking in the clerk, whom was wearing the house keeping staff uniform, tried telling me I could not check in before 3pm because I had reserved a room. When I questioned booking a room on the spot without a reservation, ie a walk in, her story changed and room magically became available. Upon entering the room I noticed it was small and dirty looking. The bathroom needs some serious work as there is water damage every where. There was also a dirty wash cloth covered with small black hairs (YOU CAN TAKE A GUESS WHAT KIND) hanging over the curtain rod. I had to finagle this disgusting thing out of the bathroom my self because house keeping was no where to be found. Maybe if house keeping was doing their jobs instead of playing front desk moron then dirty wash clothes would not be overlooked and they would be available to get dirty wash clothes out of the room when a guest finds one. The bed sheets had holes in them. The hot breakfast is not hot at all. The web page lies about serving a hot breakfast. Its a continental breakfast filled with store bough donuts, danishes, muffins and 7/11 style frozen sausage and biscuit style sandwiches. There were two waffle irons. One was broken and the other was filthy. The breakfast attendant was sitting at the guest tables playing on her phone nearly the entire time I prepared a crappy breakfast.

I was able to check in early, which was nice. The room was ok, although it could have been a little cleaner. Overall, it was ok. I had a good deal on the room.

We stay here for a All-stars State softball tournament stay for 7-1/7-4Friday thur Monday with No Air it was so hot in our room and with kids and a baby in our room We 3 ask times for them to fix it but they never did and we paid 393.00 to stay here We will never stay here again so On Monday we had to move to another hotel with Air… please share so no one else will waste their money staying here.

This hotel was awesome it had everything that you need and the breakfast was awesome. I'm staying in a 3 diamond resort in Myrtle Beach, SC and I had a better breakfast at this hotel than where I'm staying at now.

The room was fine a d good for the price. The breakfast needs more options though.

This would probably be an ok place to stay for a night or two but definitely not for extended stays. The window unit was loud; it rattled and made a loud noise every time it kicked on. The bed was uncomfortable and the room had a musty smell to it. There was no counter space in the bathroom; there was only a sink. But that may be because I was a handicap accessible room.

The room was not clean! The sheets stank and the carpet looked old and like it hasn't been vacuumed in a long time. The room was overall small, especially the bathroom, which also wasn't clean and didn't even have a fan and of course no window. The internet didn't properly work and one night we couldn't connect at all. When we talked to the lady at the reception, they said they can't do any thing about it. I have stayed at the Baymont before in other cities and had a good experience but this one in Wilmington was very disappointing.

This was a true "roach" motel — and at $100/night, not a "quality" experience for the price. Within 5 minutes of entering the room, we found several dead roaches in the bathroom and bedroom, as well as 3-4 live roaches emerging from cracks/corners before our eyes. The front desk was tied up with another customer complaint when I went to discuss the situation. Because we were late for an evening event in Wilmington, we simply left and eventually decided to find a room at a different hotel downtown. When coming back to check out the next day — we found more live roaches in our room that morning — for a grand total of 10-12 between the night before and this morning. On checking out, I again tried to complain and have our charges waived, but the front desk was on phone calls with other irate customers and could not be bothered. I NEVER write poor reviews, but this was the most disgusting and disappointing travel experience. I will not book at Quality Inn again.

Room was on. Bed and pillows were stiff and uncomfortable. Service wasn't bad though.

Not sure why people have such high unrealistic expectations of resorts and hotels. Has no one ever seen a palmetto bug or roach maybe a flea at their home? Of course you and I doubt your home is as highly trafficked it as a hotel with such a diverse culture. I have personally stayed at this hotel probably 50 times over 4 years, never have I been approached by any pimps or prostitutes or drug dealers. Similar personalities tend to attract their kind. You can find prostitutes, drug dealers, thieves and bad people everywhere some are just more undercover and and blend well with crowds. All you people from up north we have Palmetto bugs in southern low country coastal areas. Roaches normally come out after a spray. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt. So next Time you go in to a hotel ask yourself if you're home had hundreds of guest of all cultures and lifestyles what would you really expect to see? Not perfection! This hotel is very clean and I've never ever in 5 years had any of the above happen to me! This is what they call isolated cases spread over a 3 year time frame! The staff treats me as family! The rates beat any in the area for what you get here trust me you may be quite shocked if you were to go either left or right out of parking lot to any of the other area hotels! Test the water, I did and I am back here where the overall performance is best from the clerks to housekeeping and so on!

Room was small and cramped for the price. A/C did not cool well and was very noisy. TV had a grainy picture. Scared to walk barefoot on the floor in the room. The only good thing I can say is it looks nice on the outside and on the website. Very disappointed.

If I could give this Inn a negative number of stars I would. DIRTY rooms, Extremely RUDE reception, obnoxiously NOISY partying past 3am, and toilet leaked everywhere. When I checked into the hotel I asked for a room in a quiet location, receptionist ensured it was. When I realized room was right outside the entrance to the lobby, pool, and check-in area I went back to the receptionist and asked again if it would be a quiet location. She ensured me it would be. It was not a quiet location. I was woke up around 2:15 a. M. And was kept up the rest of the night with noise. At the time I was woke up I used the restroom and realized the floor between the toilet and wall was wet and had saturated my pajama pant leg. When I turned on the light I realized the toilet had been leaking and now my foot and pajamas were soaked in toilet water. When I checked out the next morning I explained to the receptionist the situation. I told her I did not need a discount or refund but instead would appreciate her just informing others that this was not a quiet location for anyone that specifically asks. Hoping this would prevent others from having the same experience if they really needed a quiet place. She was extremely combative and rude, she denied my claim.

Stayed at this hotel and wasn't in the room an hour when I was sitting on the couch and saw a roach pass me on the wall. I killed it and paid it no attention. I saw scared to take my clothes off and leave it around thinking I was going to end up taking teaches home. In the middle of the night when I went to the bathroom soon as I turned the light on I saw a roach in the bathroom. Call the next day to tell them and they say they give refunds, but only offered me 10% I'm never going back, but I didn't get upset so they wouldn't think I was just trying to get a refund even though I feel as tho they should've. I added the pics of the roaches to their picture galley. They offered breakfast bands, but who would want to eat at a place where there are roaches in the rooms.

Good experience. Very nice room. Good breakfast choices. Check in and out services were very good and friendly.

I stay at this property often as a business traveler. The thing that keeps me coming back is the incredibly nice and accommodating staff plus I get a good nights sleep. I personally don't need more than that. If you are a person that looks for flaws, you will find them just as you would in your own house. But if you need to be around nice people and sleep well, then you will enjoy your stay.

Staff was friendly Enola was a great help, room was cozy and clean and the environment was quiet!

We booked rooms at The Baymont Inn because we were going to be in town for UNCW's graduation. We chose this hotel because it's close to campus, shopping and dining. After checking in we got to our room and I was immediately disappointed. The bed linens were dirty and stained with something that looked like blood and there were fingernail clippings on the floor. I immediately went to the lobby and spoke with the manager who was extremely apologetic and sent housekeeping to change the bed linens and vacuum the floors. We went out to run some errands and upon returning, my daughter sat on the bed and moved the covers and discovered a bug. I went BACK to the office and by this time in was LIVID! The man at the desk was extremely rude. And refuses to refund my money but agreed to move us to another room. The first room he sent us to had a horrible odor, the second room was dirty and smelled like smoke. I explained that I didn't expect this hotel to be the Ritz or even the Embassy Suites, but I did expect a clean room that was free of bugs and didn't smell like feet and butt. I asked for a manager but was told that she was out. The manager called me within 30 minutes and then walked me to yet another room. We finally agreed upon the "cleaner" of the rooms (because none of them were actually clean). I was refunded $11.40 for my trouble. Later that night, I walked outside to get something out of my car and saw a young man lying on the ground underneath a vehicle.

Stayed there for a tournament and it did the job for cheap. Close to the Wilmington campus and many food places. Rooms were clean and the service was fine.

I always stay at Baymont when I am in Wilmington. This trip was for my daughter's graduation from UNCW, and they were just as nice & friendly as always. The breakfast was very good & convenient, and the cookies in the afternoon amazing as always!

It's what I expected… I must admit I was extremely nervous to stay here after reading all of the negative reviews, but since I waited til the very last minute to book a hotel room over the weekend, I really didn't have many options. The hotel has done some renovations (not sure how recent) and it looks decent. Based off of previous comments, I checked the pillows, sheets and matresses for bedbugs and explored the entire room for roaches… I'm pleased to say that I haven't seen any, THANK GOD. The check in process was easy, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I will say that I would not recommend this hotel to a family that has children with them. I never seen so many crackheads in one area in such a short period of time. However, if you aren't concerned with that type of exposure, you really can't beat this place. Nice room, nice staff and nice price. I gave 4 stars based off of what's offered/expected from this hotel. Enjoy!

We won't be back! There was a mixup on our "prepaid" reservation which we had to double pay and wait for a refund from our agent. The air conditioner didn't work and the toilet was leaking from the floor. We told the staff about it but they were booked up and couldn't switch our room. There were boots strung from a power line outside representing drug dealing and woke up to 12 beer cans thrown out front of my car. There was grimy dirt on the walls and ceilings and the carpet left black dye stains on our feet. We won't even talk about the beds. Stay far away from this hotel is all I can say!

Awful. The people staying st this hotel are pimps, prostitutes and thieves. First night, saw two scumbags breaking into the truck outside (PD got there v. Quickly), 2nd night all out fight in the parking lot and 3rd night a fight between a racist old white man and a black guy at the Handy Hugo's right next to the motel. Very scummy.

Bedbugs. This was an awful hotel experience. We thought it was bad when the Wi-Fi didn't work at all (front desk kept repeating that we needed to open the browser. We know how it SHOULD work, but it didn't), TV didn't work. The worst part was when we moved a pillow and discovered a BEDBUG (see photo). We unfortunately hadn't seen the other reviews about this. We packed all of our things and left immediately to drive 2.5 hours back home and are now freezing/heating all of our luggage and clothing. What a huge mess. The hotel gave us a refund, but I really wish we didn't have to be terrified of a bedbug infestation now. Not worth it. don't stay here.
