It’s old dated & dirty. I’ll talk to management in the morning. This is not acceptable. Looks nothing like the photos on the website. I’ve taken over a dozen pictures.

The man at the front desk was very kind & helpful, the owner not so much. I was traveling from Jacksonville for work with a coworker & was only going to be in the room one night, from the 13th — 14th. We had training from 9am until roughly 5pm on the 13th so we didnt check in until after that time. My coworker & I checked in, saw the room, then left to get food & see the beach. We both ended up working that entire night (we had no idea we would be working weekends, let alone 12 hour shifts) & when we had clocked out that morning, we had to go straight back to training until 4pm. When I explained to the man at the front desk we had not stayed in the room or even put our things in the room, he told me to speak with the owner the next day. I just got off the phone with the owner & he cut me off to tell me the only time they will provide a refund is if you ask for one within 20 minutes of checking in. 1) what an ignorant policy & 2) I didn't know we would be working this weekend, let alone working 12hr shifts that would prevent us from using the hotel room, or sleeping in general.

After reading some of the reviews after I booked, I was a little nervous. But when we walked in the room, it wasn't too bad. Got a great deal on the room on labor day weekend. Reservations help. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. If this place served breakfast or at least coffee, I would give it more stars. But all in all, it wasn't a bad place to stay.

Pictures look better than the actual room. Water pressure low in shower and also had a nice little spider in the tub. The room did serve it's purpose as we did sleep well but could have used a few more pillows.

My wife and I are staying here now. We leave tomorrow. So far, the stay has been fine. For the price, it's good enough. Loud people, but then again, there's loud, inconsiderate people everywhere now days. I'd definitely stay here again. 3 stars, because it's really outdated, but it looks as if, they are starting renovations. Staff is really nice.

Inexpensive with no extras. Loud tenants during late hours. You get what you pay for. I will say the housekeeping was excellent, room was very clean.

This is one of the nastiest places I’ve stayed in. The curtains and floors were very dirty and stained. There was an unpleasant smell that smacked you in the face as soon as you opened the door. I would not recommend staying here. What you pay for the room is not worth it.

Not the cleanest place, but decent enough. No cockroaches or anything. The bathroom could use a little work. Housecleaning didn't come by much at all during my stay, only came to make the bed once and barely gave us any fresh towels. But considering the decent price and all, it was a nice stay. And the pool was nice!

Budgetel. When you get there you'll be able to see why it was a budget. Not a place to venture outside or around. Best to keep the door locked.

Me & my boyfriend stayed there for a night & it was a very good hotel. The room has a lot of space, a king size bed, a nice tv, plenty of room in the shower, a huge mirror where the sink is making it a great place to get ready. A big parking lot & we were able to park right in front of our door which helped a lot since the morning we left it was pouring rain. & on top of all that it was only $62. I would definitely stay there again & recommend it to others.

So. Made a reservation online, got there and noone was aware of our reservation not even the owner. Our house wasnt ready so … yeah. Finally get the room, smells stale and stank. Everything worked at first. We both work, obviously. So aftercwork being that it was a ton of mexicans working someowhere close and staying at the same motel. Wich is not a problem I am spanish decent, so I bring my contractors bag inside, well I haul my heavy tool bag up the steps and to my room only to NOT be able to get in, key deactivated. Same thing happens 5 separate times. Power went out 4 times, one time was our fault. So heres, where it get interesting. So we had a reservation for two weeks, I get a knock on the door a week into our stay with someone who is not in ANY kind of uniform does not identify themselves nor greet me. "are you leaving or stayin? " I informed them that we are here until the 18th. Rude and very disrespectful. We go to the office, it "gets handled" two days later I get another knock asking the same thing. So im out taking care of business all the way on the other sude of town, I gets a call, my wife is in hysterics because they messed up our reservation from the get go and then didnt inform ANY of the other managers or attendants… I get a call from my wife stating that the office is DEMANDING us off the property in 20 mins. She was on lunch, impossible.

Our kid — free stay here on Cinco de mayo was fabulous! We got the jacuzzi room and the desk clerk was so nice and helpful. The website I reserved the room on did not charge me for the jacuzzi and only booked us for a king room. But, The desk clerk fixed everything in 5 minutes and we were in our jacuzzi in no time! We fully enjoyed our stay and have already booked for 2 weeks from now to stay again!

Clean rooms, freshly painted, friendly staff well as well as clean pool area.

Bedspread had cigarette burns. Window looked like it had a bullet hole in it, definitely a mistake staying here.

Kinda old school (they're working on it) but it was everything we needed. Great shower, well organized room, comfy bed, and sheets that aren't straight out polyester, a really comfy sleep. Enjoyed the pool! Great rates.

Well. The walls need to be fix and paint. There's no breakfast. And you have to be careful in night time hours, there's some weird people around the parking lot.

King size bed rooms are great free Wi-Fi and free breakfast bagels, danishes, muffins, cereal and juice.

Paid 60 dollars had no hot water and the room would knock you out with like a mix of dirty laundry and garbage. Absolutely no t. V. Channel's. Asked for my refund upon checkout for the issues with the room and basically all I got was a stupid look. Do not recommend.

Great people, stayed a month, left my door open one night when I left! Nothing in the room was taken not even our PS4. Great place.

Rooms for clean and the staff is excellent they'll do anything to appease you.

OUTSTANDING! The staff is very accommodating. Willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable.

Owner was super rude and kicked us off the property… Kept going on and on about prostitutes and drug dealers.

For one the staff was rude, she was the general manager, then she refused to compromise with anyone saying she isn’t returning any money to figure it out. The room was decorated by 3 waterbugs. It was a non smoking room however the room reeked of cigarettes and toilet water. The tub had stained up dirt. I could hear my neighbors as if they were in the room. The carpet wasn’t thoroughly vacuumed there were old earrings and toenail clippings on the floor. There were cock roaches coming from the sink and the toilet flooded on it’s own. The air conditioner blew air as if someone blew their exhaust from their car directly in it. What a waste of money.

Very rude place! I would not recommend this hotel at all! Save yourself the trouble and money.

I got bed bugs because of this horrible place. Also the Wi-Fi almost never works.

This is the nasty place besides red roof in the don't care about cancer patients don't rent to locals and it STINKS!

Absolutly the best place to stay in Wilmington… Clean restrooms. Comfortable rooms… large pool with ample room to relax. Nice and quite atmosphere… Bob is the man…

Everything was decent as far as a regular motel room… had a hard time to get the hot water going in the shower but overall very clean.

The room was very clean and the service was great. The staff was funny and very polite. The room rates were very affordable. Will definitely stay again.

The first room they gave us smelled funny. They had really nice room on the website but the one you get is a far cry from nice! The ceiling looked horrible, the bathroom made me fell claustrophobic and small places do not bother me! No room to move in the shower without touching the curtain. The towels were so old they felt like sandpaper!

Room was horrible, king bed was two smaller beds shoved together on a frame that was 3/4 the size needed. This caused the bed to lift up and flip if you sat on the end. The TV had a total of four channels, shower had little to no pressure, nearly impossible to clean yourself. 1 of the power outlets in the room actually worked. Cigarette burn holes in bed sheets. And the best of all were the roaches that came out at night.

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! I have never experienced anything like I did at this hotel! Worst of all, our hotel had an infestation of BED BUGS. We did a quick check when we arrived but did not see any until the next morning at 6 a. M. When we woke up to find a bed bug on our pillow. We jumped out of bed only to find at least 10 more (we did not do more searching so lord knows how many more there were). When we told the clerk at the front desk, he said "well you already stayed the night". He then continued on by explaining that we were required to tell him within the first hour of being in the room if there were bed bugs, as if it's a normal thing! There was crayon drawn all over the walls, broken furniture, and also ROACHES. Bath towels, pillow cases and sheets were all dirty and everything was covered in scum. The laundry room for the employees is located on the first floor where they leave the doors wide open for all other pests to join. Once we finally got out of there and put all of our bags in our trunk, we found a bed bug attached to our bag so we now have to take care of that. After freaking out about that, we turned around and found a used feminine product on the ground in their parking lot. Save yourself the money (or invest in a lawsuit). This place is scary. Never again.

FULL OF BED BUGS! Woke up to a bed bug next to my head. The room was filthy, there was roaches and noticed an infestation of bed bugs. Worst of all us the staff. Went to report it to the front office and the guy upfront told me too bad, we already stayed the night. Basically telling me that its normal. Do not stay at this hotel!

This hotel is aweful. I am sitting in it right now and im looking at carpet ppeling rom the wall and water damage on the walls. It took us going to offie 3 times before they finally gave us the right room number and correct key. The outlets keep kicking off and I have to keep resetting them just to charge my phone. The bathrooms are aweful and there is no water prssure long with extremely old shower heads. The sheets looked dirty and used. The rooms do not look like they are as advertised. Our refidgerator is beat up and it smelled like somone took a fresh poo in here when we came in. Never stay here and tell your friends not to cause it is aweful and I will NEVER be back again!

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. When I flipped the comforter back to get into bed there was dirt all over the bed. At least I hope it was dirt and not bed bugs. So I called the front desk to tell them and they asked me what I wanted them to do. So I told them I would like them to put new sheets on the bed so they came up knocked on the door and when I opened the door he tried to just hand me the sheets. I was like no I'm not touching that bed can you please make the bed. They said yes, I asked him if they had ever had bed bugs and he said I don't know. And I was like there's no way you don't know have you ever had bed bugs. He said "not in this room". And then I asked him when and he said he didn't know but it wasn't any time recently. I don't believe that at all! That was bad enough, but the headboard had funk all over it like it's never been cleaned. Line someone had something sticky on their hands & smeared it on the headboard! The wall had something black smeared all over it that was obviously from someone's fingers. The shower had somebody else's hair in it. The refrigerator had orange something that had been spilled in it it looks like ages ago. It was absolutely disgusting. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone, even my worst enemy.

This hotel was the nastiest, dirtiest, stinking hotel I ever been in. I have so much to say about this hotel. When we arrived from driving 3 hours away, we already knew that the hotel was filthy jus by the outside appearance. Our refrigerator was so disgusting & had someone left over butter inside. The bathroom was stinking, one of our beds was wet and smelled like someone came in the room after we left & pee in the bed. Thats so disgusting. Went to get new sheets & a blanket but they were out so I was given some ugly cover to use. There is much more disgusting things I can say about this hotel. Yall need to shut it down if you gonna check people in a nasty smelly hotel dirty hotel. We want our money back and im gonna do my best to make sure something is done about this. Why did we pay so much for a dirty hotel room? yall will never ever get anymore money from me or my family. Shut that hotel down a. S. A. P.

I would give it a — star or five if it were available. Booked a room with 2 double beds. The pic showed a Jacuzzi so I booked it. Got there and it was a king so we changed to a room with 2 double beds. First room smelled, shower grout was filthy. Second room smelled but the bathroom was somewhat cleaner. Witnessed a drug deal, prostitution, and someone tried to kick a door in. I think the smiles on the night and morning clerk were broken. I told them what happened hoping to get some sort of a refund. She told me "that's what happens around here. " Wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy except my X. You get what you pay for. Please DO NOT stay at this crummy motel. I find it hard to believe some guests gave it 5 stars. They must not be too picky. All rooms were non smoking rooms but ours smelled like smoke. No pets allowed, saw at least 3. WiFe didn't work. They don't give a rats ass what you do apparently. On another note, If you ever go to the area and like crab legs don't miss Fish Bites restaurant. Two huge crab clusters, saluted veggies, and wild rice. $21, can't beat that.

We stayed with my friend and spring break closed UNCW and nice place to stay. Economy but clean and nice. I recommend to others stay here.

While some of the rooms are nicer others are roach infested and full of broken furniture. The management is rude and obviously biased on who gets the nicer rooms. I was dressed well and had a large stack of cash and was put in a newly renovated room across from the pool. My friends who were in pjs from travelling and had only enough for the room on them at thr time were given a very run down dirty room. The management treated all of us poorly when we complained and acted if they were the gods of cheap motels.

Urgently advise u NOT To stay here. The only reason we stayed is bc my bf and I had bills to return to when we get back in town. Quality is better than quantity. WARNING! — — — when u walk into the check in there is a SIGN that says "no refund after 15 minutes" well guess why ppl? After 30 minutes that's when the damn roaches come out! They were crawling in the tub and on THE CEILING. +there are cracks at the bottom of each wall for moths to come crawling in. We slept w one eye open. The pillow cases had fresh stains on them and the pillows smelled bad. The mattress had burnt cigarette holes… I almost mistake them for brown roaches until I put my glasses on! The floor is damp. We kept our shoes on to walk. The breakfast was crap. The house keepers dressed like people that walk the street. Even to the point to one guy just came up to us and told us he worked here bc he kept looking suspicious. My bf and I watched the house keepers at 11 am (checkout time) and all they do is change trash and spend less than 10 minutes in a room. Aka they didn't bring in any sheets nor did they take out any sheets to be washed. Its disgusting. I kid u not. And make sure u keep ur valuables $$$ very close to u… If u leave the room and u left say ur $card in one spot… It jus may b In a different spot when u return! & I know I'm not crazy. I know where I put things. I think that's why they don't have 'I'm in here' signs for u to put on ur door knob-just so they can have the opp. To come in.

I recently spent a couple of weeks here and found the hotel to be a great value for the money. By renting the room at a weekly rate I saved almost a hundred dollars per week. The staff was friendly and helpful from the front desk right down to housekeeping. Having a guest laundry was very convenient, as was the hotels proximity to UNCW the beach and downtown. The room I was in was clean and free of pests. Although I didn't take advantage of the pool myself I could tell from my room that many of the guests enjoyed swimming or relaxing on the deck. I also noticed that the hotel offers a banquet facility as well as an onsite restaurant. I myself took advantage of the free Wi-Fi and enjoyed the free breakfast every morning I was there. As the name implies I found this hotel to be very affordable and accommodating. And would recommend it to any traveler who who is looking for a comfortable place to stay while operating on on a tight budget.

Paid $123.00 for a room that smelled like stale cigarette smoke and urine. Upon check-in, we were checked into a room that already had guests in it. When we got into the 2nd room, the carpet was damp (we would not take our shoes off), one of the pillow cases was dirty (we ended up using our own) and the bed sheets were extremely worn and thin. Thinking that if the pillow case was dirty, the sheets were probably dirty, too so we ended up using our comforter as a bottom sheet and a small blanket to cover us. The bathtub and toilet were riddled with cigarette burns, the grout between the tile on the shower walls was very dirty and the bathroom floor was dirty as well. It was obvious that this is a motel where people stay long-term and there were drunks all over the place when we arrived at this Budgetel at 11:30 pm. My husband and I both agreed that had we seen the room before we checked in, we would have been better off sleeping in our truck. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone!

There was an issue with Expedia communication but the lady at the desk was great, she went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. My fiance an I have a newborn and she did everything she could to make sure we got a non smoking room with a hot tub at that! The Indian quzine next doors staff is also great to deal with great price great people I'll deff be coming back. Thanks for the great service guys!

If there was a way not to give it a star, I would! I DO NOT recommend this hotel. My husband, child and myself probably would have slept in the back of our car than to stay here again. The female boss did not know how to conduct herself. We waited for 10 mins while she took a person call about a cook leaving work, then criticized my parenting because my child used a pacifier. We asked for non-smoking room and as soon as we opened the door, it was like walking up to your great aunt's house that has the raspy voice cause she smoke three packs a day. Not even febreeze could cut through the stench. Took off our shoes and walked around for 30 mins and our feet were black… Its seems like they just walk in and change the sheets then walk out. The only positive thing I have to say is, the AC works wonders… so far.

My room was very clean and smelled really good when I first arrived. I thought to myself checkout not too early, breakfast, and free Wi-Fi. Couldnt get any better than this for the same price. Pool was clean and over all I really enjoyed my stay. I also would recommend any n everyone staying here in the wilmington area.

I am a single woman who stayed at this hotel for a week. The hotel staff is ready to give you anything you need. The AC was good. I felt safe staying there. They kept my room clean. Price was reasonable and location great to beaches and downtown. Recommend this hotel.

I chose five stars for one reason only. That reason is the night shift employee Robert and his extreme consideration in taking the time to find an extra pillow and a toothbrush for me and his awesome kind and outgoing personality.

The manager mentioned that the cyber coffee was wonderful and that I would love to try it one day. The Jacuzzi room was nice and enjoyable as well as clean. Thank you for being convenient and close to everything I recommend that you stay here.

Loved the place. They have separate smoking and non-smoking rooms. So much parking space. You can park big trucks suv. I would recommend stay here and enjoy the city.

I stayed here a few days ago and I thought I should write a review. The room was big and the beds were comfortable. Its not a five star hotel but they are very inexpensive, so I would recommend to stay here if you don't have a lot of money and want to be comfortable too. The lady was very nice on the front desk and gave me a discounted rate when I told her my situation. They had free Wi-Fi, breakfast — bagels, muffins, fruits, juice/coffee. I was there only for 2 days and next time I visit Wilmington I would stay there. Oh yes, they also have a bus stand right in front of the hotel if you don't have a car or save gas money.

I came into Wilmington to do some It contracting work and needed and economical motel to stay at. Bob always gives a good rate for extended stays and is a class act guy. Very humorous and charming personality. The clerks were nice, kind and considerate. I have to say I had a pleasant time. The beds were fresh and the the bathroom was very clean the nights I stayed. Ample space for parking SUV's and large trucks. Plenty of free hot coffee and donuts. Plus in the morning their is a free continental breakfast. I would recommend and stay again to any contractor working on the road. Or with family and children. Business or Pleasure.

Hotel staff were very rude rooms were not clean at all maid staff was very rude overall experience terrible deplorable rooming deplorable service I wouldn't stay here if my life depended on it and I was a homeless bum who just hit the lottery for $500.

This hotel is a serious health risk and should be shut down. There are plenty of other hotels in the area so stay at one of those. Room had mold, smelt damp, things were sticky to touch, dirty, we had cockroaches in our room. Generally disgusting. I'm fairly sure they do nothing but make the beds before you arrive. Breakfast was a joke and the guy who was doing the checking in repeatedly used foul language. We paid $100 per night for this room and I think its more of a $25 room, assuming you're comfortable risking getting bitten/sick.

I would rather sleep in the back seat of my car than stay in this hotel again. The floor was nasty, the sheets was dirty. It was some draws in the bathroom and the the tub was dirty. It was a half of roll of tissue. I checked out and wasted my 60$. The can have it. Do yourself a favor and stay some where else.

This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. We arrived late in the night and we had no other choice but to take the room. When we entered the room: the smell was awful, the room was dirt and moldy. I could not even sleep between the sheets since I was not sure they were clean. The place needs a complete restoration and by restoration I don't mean the building (although it is old) but the ownership and the management. Breakfast was a joke, frozen bagels, cupcakes and danishes. Avoid this place at all cost. I wish there is a zero star rating because even one star is way too much for this crappy "inn".

My family always has their family reunion and my grandson's birthday over the 4th of July. I booked the rooms through Expedia for $67.50 a night when my daughter and her family arrived the next day because I went a day early they said it was $121.00 a night after going round and round about this the first rate was given. The hotel is old and in major need of a whole new facelift. The Bed spreads underneath had stuff spilled all over them the curtains were faded the water would go from hot to cold all the time. The best part of the whole deal house keeping went through my Daughter's purses and stole $320.00 called the police but naturally it was their word against his the mother of the son then wanted to try and pull the race card we were sitting at the pool and knew who was cleaning the room because we had a clear view of the room. Was anything done no, just that we should keep personal items with you. No you need to hire honest people how many times had this been done before but went unnoticed until they got home or away from the Inn.
