Good location and friendly staff. The rooms are small but it's New York so I would expect that. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of seating.

Looks unclean. Could be grosser but its mediocre at best. The process of checking in was a total drag and the front desk people (although polite) did not seem to know how to do their jobs correctly. The lobby is cramped and the overall atmosphere is dingy. Doesnt seem worth the money we paid to stay here at all. Almost impossible to spot from the road and the door is ridiculously inefficient, a roundabout door that stops when more than one person gets in one space, although its big enough to hold at least 3 people. Room is nice enough but is very v e r y small.

Comfy room, clean and nice for fair price… Haven't tried breakfast (had other plans) but it looked good and was complementary, so overall great place to stay at midtown due to good value for money, cleaneness and great location. Oh and the staff were very nice either.

Centrally located Hotel, from which you can reach any place on foot.

Great free breakfast with a room. Comfortable beds. Old towels, maid service needed to be called at 5PM because they never came. Room was still not ready for check in at 5PM. Printer in lobby did not work. Good location.

I made a reservation on 4-1-18. I called the IHG reservation line to cancel on 4-2-18. I was initially told that when using my points I had until 4-3-18 to cancel and for the portion I was paying for with my card I had until 4-4-18 to cancel, which would have been 24 hours before check in. I was also told by the reservation line that my card would not be charged until I checked into the hotel. However, my card was charged $250.51 on 4-2-18, the day I canceled. I called reservations and they said I was not supposed to be charged and that the actual hotel charged me, but should not have. Reservation opened up a case # to start an investigation. Be careful folks!

Excellent location, close to Empire State, Madison Square Garden, transportation airport. Good size room to the standard of Manhattan. Good breakfast, many tables right, best not to go down very late to breakfast. I think that its price/quality ratio, for the area where it is, is one of the best.

There are five holiday inn Express hotels in Manhattan. I've stayed in three. This was my favorite of them. It's relatively newly renovated. I didn't have trouble waiting for elevators or breakfast. Staff was friendly.

Excellent location the girls at the front desk always very friendly. The cafe and the te at any time to the days of cold really excellent. And more q abundant breakfast with quality products. Very quiet higher floor and quiet. I recommend it 101% and come back again.

Located close to time square and the subway it is in a perfect location. The hotel is very well kept, up to date and very clean and comfortable. The staff was always very courteous and cheerful which adds to the pleasure of the stay. The room is very well kept and very current. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. I would definitely come here again when I return to NYC.

Its located in a great spot in mid manhattan. Its walking distance from times square and other attractions. The hotel has great complimentary breafast. The rooms were clean, but small. The size is what you expect in any NYC hotel room. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

Just a pass… rooms very small… for 20 levels only 2 lifts and 1 didn't work for 2 days so there was always a long wait to get to your rooms. Front desk not overly helpful … breakfast. Was nice had all that you needed but if you could get a table you were lucky. Very very small breakfast area… beds were very comfy also… location was great though hence the 3 stars… its a 5/10 motel at best…

The rooms are tiny. The breakfast was minimal and disappointing. We ate only once and ate down the street at the Bread Factory for breakfast, which saved all of us. The room cleaning was not done, which management blamed it on the computer system malfunction. Pure lie because I know that there were not enough cleaning crew available to clean all the rooms. When checking out, the front desk did not offer any apologies for not cleaning our room for over five days! No offer of anything, not even a little feeling of guilt… One elevator out of two did not work for 2 days, which made the elevator call to take forever. Frankly, I paid too much for what I got!

Stay here was good and the location was very good. The hotel itself was quiet and we didn't hear other residents at night however the noise outside was a different story and disrupted our sleep. The room was a little small but it was exactly what we expected for a city and it was furnished nicely. Plus the breakfast every morning was great and saved us time and money by not having to go to a restaurant. We found the breakfast selection fine but I'd image some people would find this limited as there isn't really much choice. Overall we had a very good stay and would definitely stay there again.

It's located in the heart of midtown. Macy's is a block away as well as many other shopping stores. The hotel and its employees are very professional and courteous. The rooms are nice and cosy. And there's lots to choose from for your breakfast.

Friendly staff, clean room, typical NY sized room, modern styling, just off 6th Av by a few Irish restaurants. Free Wi-Fi but could be faster but good enough for traditional use.

Best deal in Midtown Manhattan. Prices reasonable, rooms clean and breakfast is included. That is worth $20 a person if you had to go out and buy it. Rooms are a bit small, but I understand that this is NYC and I don't expect large rooms. Elevators can get busy at times during peek hours, but readily available other times. This is the second time I have stayed there and I love it.

Rooms are small but great location. Staff is nice. Room service is decent but restaurants in the area are the way to go.

If I could, I would give this hotel negative ratings. I went to NYC for the first time, and this is the worst hotel I have ever been to. This was the hotel in Times Square, Manhattan. We were scammed and the staff there did not care about their clients at all! We booked from Toronto directly from they website and asked for 2 QUEEN BEDS and FREE PARKING. We repeatedly asked the woman on the phone THREE times if there was free parking, because no other hotel was offering free parking, and the lady said yes 100% there is free parking and 2 QUEEN BEDS. After 10 long hours of driving from Toronto to NYC, we went to the hotel and were going to check in. We were then told that there are no queen/double beds, and that we have booked for ONE KING BED! NOTE: WE ARE A FAMILY OF FOUR. We told them that we booked for 2 queen beds but they disagreed. They also said that there is no free parking! So, we decided to call the number THE RECEPTIONISTS GAVE US, which was the same number from where we booked from, and talked to one of the people there. They "assumed" that someone had changed the details of our booking! We then asked for the managers name and number and THEY GAVE A FALSE MANAGER NAME. Clearly they were just trying to make money and lying to us. We were so frustrated and have never experienced such horrible and bad service from a hotel ever before! We met another person there who had experienced the same thing as us (scamming)!

Holiday Inn Express Times Square South is an adequate hotel at an adequate price. The room was clean but be aware there is no fridge or microwave. The hotel is pet friendly. Parking is offered across the street for $35 a day. The hotel is located in the garment district and is just a few blocks away from the Library and Times Square. No frills but it gives you a decent place to sleep.

The hotel is clean. The rooms are OK. The breakfast was average. It really is its location which is its major asset. At 1 avenue of 7th Ave. Good restaurant nearby (keens, keg room, mew… izayamaki). The empire state 2 blocks… That's.

Room was smaller than most Holiday Inn Express hotels, however were were in the heart of NYC so it was expected. The staff was friendly, the room was clean. We did not try their hot breakfast because there was a Chick-fil-A around the corner. The hotel was accessible to pretty much anything we wanted. We walked to a Pho restaurant, a local bar right next to the hotel had a band, we did an escape room nearby, and shopped at a Macy's nearby.

Perfect location next to Times square with a view to the Empire center, hotel very clean, reception almost all employees speak Spanish for English take it badly. The breakfast normalitos the Wi-Fi when I was fatal.

We had a fabulous stay! We were upgraded to a room with a view of the Empire State Building. The room was tiny, but to be expected in NYC. Friendly staff, comfortable room, great location to everywhere we wanted to be! We would definitely stay here again.

Good for what it is. Definitely better than your typical Holiday Inn. The complimentary breakfast actually includes actual hot food. Great for when you don't want to pay for an expensive breakfast.

Every time we go to New York we stay here, easy parking right across the street! Parking is only 35.00 for 24 hours so you can run around Manhattan for cheap. Rooms are very nice and updated! Very clean! I love it there, see you next time! Andy and Teri.

Perfect! Excellent location! Close to everything, to my I loved it, the room is a little small, but is comfortable and very clean! Has a bar and catering, both excellent services! Back and definitely recommend it!

The room is small but the location is perfect! We have a great view of the Empire State Building too. Free breakfast is a plus and it was always well stocked. We would definitely return to this hotel the next time we are in NYC.

Comfortable, basic accommodation. Great location in the heart of Manhattan, 2 blocks from Empire State. Tip: get down early for breakfast as the room gets very busy, on the last day we had to eat in our room as there were no tables left and people were still coming down. But the offering was good for this type of hotel.

Nice friendly hotel in a central loication. The room was small but modern and well designed. Breakfast was good, but at busy times you would have to be lucky to get a table.

Great location. It is within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, subway stations and many attractions such as the Empire State Building and Times Square. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was good enough to feed us in the morning and get our day started. Taxi from and to La Guardia airport ranged from $40-$50 due to traffic. Room was a bit small, but I guess that's normal out there. Overall, enjoyed it as I used reward points to stay so it cost $0 and would stay there again.

Clean hotel, in the heart of Manhattan and with only 3 minute walk gets you in 5th Avenue, the Avenue with its famous stores (sephora, Tiffany, Bridget Kors, etc). Important: get the camper and at higher levels, costing always equal to the others but. You have a view of the empire state building which is just glorious. The breakfast is very good. You can taste the typical breakfast sausage and egg, or American plumecake with maple syrup, but also the typical Italian breakfast: milk and biscuits. The rooms are on the smallish side: 2 Queen size beds for a fibula. But then, who is staying in the hotel when it is located in the most beautiful city in the world. This 5 star hotel. Fantastic. Come here for a great experience.
