Review of Holiday Inn Express 1*

If I could, I would give this hotel negative ratings. I went to NYC for the first time, and this is the worst hotel I have ever been to. This was the hotel in Times Square, Manhattan. We were scammed and the staff there did not care about their clients at all! We booked from Toronto directly from they website and asked for 2 QUEEN BEDS and FREE PARKING. We repeatedly asked the woman on the phone THREE times if there was free parking, because no other hotel was offering free parking, and the lady said yes 100% there is free parking and 2 QUEEN BEDS. After 10 long hours of driving from Toronto to NYC, we went to the hotel and were going to check in. We were then told that there are no queen/double beds, and that we have booked for ONE KING BED! NOTE: WE ARE A FAMILY OF FOUR. We told them that we booked for 2 queen beds but they disagreed. They also said that there is no free parking! So, we decided to call the number THE RECEPTIONISTS GAVE US, which was the same number from where we booked from, and talked to one of the people there. They "assumed" that someone had changed the details of our booking! We then asked for the managers name and number and THEY GAVE A FALSE MANAGER NAME. Clearly they were just trying to make money and lying to us. We were so frustrated and have never experienced such horrible and bad service from a hotel ever before! We met another person there who had experienced the same thing as us (scamming)! We decided to change hotels at the end, because they simply did not do anything to help us. SO, if you are ever headed to NYC, NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER, stay in this hotel. They are all SCAMMERS and only want your money. Do yourself a favour and STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!
