The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom on the 12th floor was remolded and was very nice. The room, basic and a little dated, but hey… lets face it… you are not going to NYC to hang out in the room. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The location is perfect, as it is very quiet and only steps from the subway. I would stay here again.

There was no electricity in the room when we complained about it we were told they were sending someone up to check it. 45 minutes later we go to ask again only for them to now say that the technician left for the day and said that everything was working fine. We still had no electricity. Person at the front offered us another room which we took only for him to say sorry we don't have any more rooms. Then he said we could speak to the manager in the morning for some compensation. In the morning when we explained to the other clerk what happened she says "I wish he said that" but our manager isn't coming in until Tuesday. So now she was calling us liars for saying that he said we could speak to the manager. The previous clerk simply put a %15 off note on our room which does not merit not having any electricity. We both left with our phones dead looking for somewhere yo charge it. Horrible customer service.

A hotel which deserves or rather would require a full refreshment. The air conditioning is noisy.
It was used for its primary functions a bed (small) and a shower (no bath mats).

It 1 star rating is super generous for this s*** hole. Come here if you want bed bugs, no hot water, a hole in your door from someone breaking in and renovations from the early 90's. The upgraded rooms were barely decent and I had to pay extra for it… never again dirty hotel. They literally need to burn this place down start over.

Attention:
The one with the rooms is a matter of luck. They have great rooms and horrible rooms for the price.
We also had to talk to the receptionist to get a new room.
For New York, the hotel is good
It's old. Used and some rooms are very small. Others, on the other hand, offer more space. Depending on how the receptionist is on it.
Location is great.

My boyfriend and I decided to take a trip to NYC before Christmas 2017. I booked this hotel in advance mainly because of its great location and secondly because of the price (We are both students). There were a lot of totally opposite reviews that we looked at but we decided for a week in NYC the hotel was the least of our concerns. When we got to the hotel, we checked in and the staff was AMAZING. Anthony at the front desk was a GEM. He was so kind and pulled up all of my information from months ago right away. The room had a queen bed, one desk, a small flat screen TV, and a small NY size white tile bathroom. It really was perfect. We rented this room to sleep, and have a cozy weekend and it was perfect. The rooms aren't super spacious, but we didn't need it to be spacious since it was just us and all we would be doing was sleeping and eating one of the many awesome pizzas we got at various restaurants around the hotel. Everything was very clean, and one night when I was freezing trying to go to bed (Its December in NYC ppl) My boyfriend called the front desk to see if they could bring us an extra blanket and YALL they brought a just cleaned one that was still warm from the dryer. The room was always cleaned after we came back the next night, and check-out was a breeze. This place is great. The people are great. I will definitely be back.

For $ 190 a night… just gross. Pictures on website are not even of this place. Hallway and room stunk of marijuana. Room so old and out dated. Toilet tank broken, bath tub chipped and dirty, wall paper peeling, rug ripped and burned. Bed old with cigarette burns on it. (A plus: we did not find any bed bugs) All the ice machines were supposedly broken. We were told by the front desk, we would have to go and purchase it. I could go on and on… I feel dirty just being in this place.

The people at the front desk were professional and courteous. Your doorman and bellhop don't even ask if you need help and they act as if they're doing you a favor. I feel 7 dollars is a good tip for bringing the cart to the door where you put your own things in your room. On my way out I put my own things in the car while your bellhop helped somebody steal my luggage when I brought your cart back to the door. I'm going to see if I can pay somebody to see their security video to see who stole my luggage.

Avoid it. The Wi-Fi didn't work and the front desk just said: ' It's free, so it may happen that doesn't work ' when the heater didn't work they only sent a small blanket because: ' It's too late to change the room ' and icing on the cake in Room next to ours they organized a party with loud music until 7, and when the next day we did checkout and we said we were told: "It only happens once a year so we forgive them".
Only point in favor: cheap.

Everything is decent. They go to the meeting in different questions. Not bad for 2 stars.

The lobby has been renovated but the rest of the hotel is dated. Wi-Fi works when it wants and some rooms don't even capture it. We were on Broadway side and the noise is bearable except that under the Windows the buses parked all night with the engines running, so required earplugs.

My visit dates back to six months ago… I hope things are better in the meantime. In fact, the vote in stars should be divided into two. The first part of the stay (two days scarce) would deserve 1 and a half star. We had the room 601 (room is an understatement, you would say "closet"), the hallway smelly. I asked for another room, the reception staff accommodated me and tasered us on the 8th floor. Definitely better. The staff, however, is always very friendly and helpful. One thing to clarify is that the laundry service consists of a… Cross the street where you can find the classic Chinese laundromat… Surely the situation will improve… The modernization was underway. If you decide for this hotel make it clear that you want a renovated room. Great location, close to Central Park. The metro station is 50 meters from the hotel.

Friendly staff Clean room Room in bad condition: drain sink and toilet clogged, floor all broken, no USB sockets. Economical but CMQ cost not in line with the quality.

Loved it) ) lived 2 days, booked day-in-day, checked in at night! Very clean, warm and cozy! There are many public transport links nearby and easy access to both Midtown and East side.

Room was pretty run down with wallpaper peeling off the walls and rusty bathroom fittings. Hairdryer in the bathroom I had did not work. Besides this the room itself seemed to be kept mostly clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend as a basic place to stay for short visits to Manhattan if you're in need of a bed and not looking to impress!

The room are mostly crampt and rundown; having smoking rooms probably doesn't help keeping the rooms or hallways lookking as fresh as theycould be. The lobby was really nice though and it is a nice quiet area near the Subway. Customer service at the front desk was adequate at best.

So far the worst hotel I have been in. Where to even start: for starters I am giving this review on my phone because the Internet takes about 10 minutes just to load one page. The Internet is an open network! I told them and they don't care. It is worse than dial up. 2nd, it is cold tonight and they only have AC now and there were no blankets on the bed. 3rd, the whole place smells like spray. You can taste it in your mouth. 4, my bed had stains on it. … don't stay here!

Our room is on tenth floor. Carpet is discolored and cable is shotty. Hot water took forever to come thru spicket. It is convenient being near subway station but suggest another hotel close by with better reviews.

The hotel is generally clean but is very old and this can be seen in the deterioration of the same… for example, stains on the walls and doors that do not close well.

It is a good hotel with a friendly staff. There are only 2 lifts that are insufficient for all floors of the complex. There are drink machines in several plants. You are allowed to leave your luggage so the arrival how to exit. The area is quiet, this Metro station 3 min walk. The standard double rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bath something old but it is wide.

Do not have hot water the receptionist very good worker but on the internet you handled the q offers one double bed example if you come with family looking for another hotel by the q pay more of the parking voucher worth pay it in another.

Good Points: Comfortable Bed, Friendly Staff, Bed Made Daily, Close to a Subway Station. Bad Points: The smell, it was disgusting, sometimes I actually held my breath walking to the room from the elevator and visa versa. The bath tub had brown stains and cracked tiles. The toilet was not properly bolted to the floor. We brought this up with reception and it was not fixed. The radiator was extremely loud. The lift would not go to a floor you had pressed sometimes it would stop at empty floors. The Wi-Fi was very slow. Overall it did the job provided myself and my girlfriend with a place to sleep for the 7 nights we were there but could honestly not suggest using it. While its handy for a subway and a good price for the week we were there you would be better off paying extra to stay closer to the main parts of the city.

It was a good hotel, the location os very good! Unfortunately they don't serve breakfast. There is a laudry in front of the hotel as a starbucks in the street right afyer the building.

RUDE AND NOT UNDERSTANDING! I have stayed in this hotel several times over the last year and I made a reservation for a room on 2-26-16 but within the hour realized I was not going to be able to make it because of a family emergency when I called I was told the person who could make that decision to change the reservation date was not available. I called again the following day and could not reach a manager and spoke to someone named Tara who then told me that the hotel had a record that I checked in which I adamantly advised I did not as I have credit card charges showing I was in NJ. I informed Tara that I wanted the hotel to research this as I definitely did not check in. I did not receive any return call. I then called the next day and I finally spoke to a manager named kirk who informed me of the cancellation policy I asked him to make an exception since I have stayed in this hotel several times and would continue to come to this hotel bringing consistent revenue but he refused to even consider the exception not because he couldn't but because he wouldn't even consider helping a loyal patron.

No problems and the room was clean, the site I book with said I could have a rollaway bed and the front desk no, not with that room. Nothing serious.

Omg worst experience ever. No fridge or microwave. Dont use this hotel seriously. Frontdesk rude! Total fees is far different never clarified. Give. Paid more than was told. Building old and needs maintenance. Broken iron and bad TV. Bathroom messy and small as hell. Waited over 2 hours to check inwhiles the only One person works at frontdesk. Refused to issue refund. Scam. Sleep in a bus or a car smh.

Location was great and convienent for what we were in the city for. Lobby is very nice. Rooms were ok, clean but dated. Great affordable place to crash for the night.

It is an old hotel, but very good value for money. This well located. Very comfortable rooms. Room service very well. Access to the red line subway. Near Central Park. The truth that very comfortable, accessible. Safety deposit box in room, hair dryer, towels, TV, iron. Highly recommended and cheaper than many hostels.

The hotel is not bad but could be much better the kingsize bed is great. The carpet a bit dirty. The bathroom is clean. The Wi-Fi is very slow though. For the elevator there is often the row and it is quite slow. The staff is quite courteous and the location of the hotel is great. Acceptable price.

There were roaches crawling around the headboard. The shower was ice cold and warmed up after ten minutes. Their decor is late seventies or early eighties. There was only one functioning elevator and someone used my credit card to purchase bogus charges. Stay away from this place. OMG! I can't believe that this hotel is in a prime location with the worst accommodations. If I had money to invest in purchasing a property I would turn this around. This place is screaming for new owners that understand what they have and show concern for the patrons. I will keep you updated on my credit card fiasco. stay away.

The location is unbeatable, it has the U Bahn right in front of the hotel and is therefore very fast everywhere… The rooms and the hotel are clean but there was one relatively clean… it can recommend.

The room is very small, furniture has been very old, TV can not see, indoor environment is very general, cheap, good location.

Nice hotel if you expect too much. Cheap and the sleep it is enough. In the vicinity are many Diners and the location is really top.

For its price justifies itself on 100%. Great location.
