Hotel very well located, close to Lexington tube station and close to Central Park. The room is spacious (4 adults), the bedding is clean and very comfortable. There is also no complaints about the cleanliness of the bathroom. The room was equipped with a kitchenette, which we were used to have a few breakfasts before some very early outings. Pleasant sound insulation in a city that never sleeps. Staff available. I recommend this hotel.

Arrived with our three children (one special needs) to check in; Was told to come back later in the day (understandable as we were early) ; Returned over 4 hours later… Were told that our room was still not available yet; Continued to wait while we watched others check in and even receive upgrades; Asked why we were still be made to wait while others were checked in and upgraded — ignored by an EXTREMELY rude and dismissive desk attendant; Also, would not allow our daughter to use the washroom — told us that there was one she could use across the street; The manager eventually came was able to get us into our room 45 min later; Very nice Manager and Concierge but potential guests BEWARE — this is not a family-friendly environment; Also, despite the high cost (for that distance from NY attractions) the rooms, though large, are tired, the Internet poor, and the air conditioning weak. We hope that those who do choose to stay at the Garden Suites have a better experience than our family did and are made to feel as valued as their other perhaps more affluent guests.

Filthy vermin-infested hole. If you like mice running around your room, a toilet that runs all night, a bathroom that smells like piss, internet connection speed circa 1991, and horrendous customer service — this is the place for you. They lost all my clothes while moving me from the room with mice to a room on a higher floor and then told me they weren’t responsible.

Everything fine until 9 am when construction began in hotel. Was not apprised of construction when reservation made. I had planned to work until flight in my room. Hotel was completely unprepared to deal with guests during construction. The person checking me out did not apologize nor did he have a phone number to complain. Unacceptable behavior for hotel catering to business people and those who have loved ones in hospital across the street.

Badly need of an update! Staff are so kind. They really try hard.

This hotel is nice for family, location was great. I book a junior suite and it was nice, clean and confy. Staff was very helpfull my kids really enjoy the stay and the city as well. Any time am travelling to NY definitely I will stay here again.

The accommodation for a family of 5 people with 3 teenagers in a large room (2 double beds and an unfolded sofa) with kitchenette is not very well adapted: no space to cook at minimum and to eat, the sitting area is ultimately occupied By the sofa (the 5th unfolded bed), the equipment of the kitchen very rudimentary.
We had booked a taxi to get to the airport (cost at the go = 82 dollars) For a cost we were projecting slightly higher, they dissuaded us by telling us that they had a taxi to offer us for 110 dollars (without mentioning that the taxi in Question only wanted liquid…), we trusted and ultimately, the race requested by the taxi was not 110 dollars but 130 dollars more a tip requested by the latter which was exorbitant, in short a beautiful deception!

Good location & service. Get room facing North to avoid traffic noise.

The rooms are very large and clean.

Roomy rooms, residential, quiet area, polite, helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again. Stay is for work. Many restaurants and markets in the area. I stayed I a room with kitchen. Room cleaned daily. Room with couch, desk, 2 beds. Would work great for a longer stay.

Like apartment; full kitchen, separate bed, bath and LR. Cleaning staff very nice. All hotel desk service just fair. Two full grocery stores at the corner block. Good food and shopping for blocks and only 2 blocks to Central Park. Great for families.

Spacious and clean rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Simple and very nice decoration. Maybe a little far from the larger tourist areas.

This is my first trip to the United States trip, after a long flight, we are tired! After arriving at the hotel at 9 o'clock in the morning, the room was not ready, we can only go to Central Park to wait until 1:00 back to the hotel, the front desk staff Justin said the room was not good, let us continue to wait, but when they put the lounge Closed, and even in the small lobby, even a seat are not! We can only go elsewhere and wait for the room! We did not feel the front desk is friendly, helpful! Hotel location is very good! The hotel manager is very good, he helped us for the room, but also to thank the hotel room attendant, gave us a lot of help!

We stayed over the weekend. They had great service very accommodating. We were here to see my grandfather in Sloan Kettering they gave us time to get our stuff together let us transfer rooms. Great experience. Uploaded photos from the 13th floor penthouse suit.

Close enough to walk to Central Park, museums, and Times Square but tucked away in a much quieter corner of Manhattan. We enjoyed our stay here while my husband was staying through the weekend on business. Nothing fancy or flashy, just middle of the road, clean, very spacious room at a good price.

Quiet location, but walking distance to Times Square. Room is clean and tidy, but a little dated. Staff are friendly. A good place for exploring NYC.

I booked this hotel on accident — meant to state at a different hotel by the same company. They would not work with me to transfer to the hotel that I needed to state at so I am taking a taxi in each day. The manager was not helpful nor caring. Carefully book with this hotel.

The location was quiet (for NYC) and personal just like they advertise. The room was beaurlful and clean, with a comfortable living area and a small kitchen. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Absolutely loved this place! First time in New York, I was apprehensive about this accommodation being so far from all the attractions but I was wrong. It was so good to be away from the hustle and bustle of Time Square. I would highly recommend a stay at Affinia Gardens. We are a family of five from Australia and the apartment was large enough for all of us. It was clean and well maintained. The atmosphere was friendly and staff were very accommodating. The location was superb, close to Central Park and all the museums, all walking distance. There was a subway station at 59th (Lexington) which made getting around so easy. The Upper Eastside neighbourhood was so beautiful. All the buildings were postcard material and everyone had a dog! Cute little dogs on a leash or in a pram! I definitely would stay there again, be prepared for the ambient city noises. New York drivers like using their horns for every occasion! The garbage trucks come every night and emergency vehicles can be heard on a regular occurrence. After a night or two this becomes normal and once you become accustomed to the "busyness" of New York your stay becomes amazing! It is definitely the city that never sleeps!
