After our afternoon tea at the Lowell one of my friend told me that I introduced them to a high culture. Of course I am honored, and also thankful to the hotel staff for making my friend feel that way. The Service is impeccable.

The Lowell is the definition of luxury. Every detail of their beautiful suites is well thought out. Beautiful decor, working fireplace, floor to ceiling marble bath with deep soaking tub, luxury DDC bath amenities. Comfort and luxury beautifully combined!

Wonderful experience, we stopped in for a drink and got a tour of a really beautiful little hotel. Tony, the bartender, was very friendly and really made us feel welcome. Going back for dinner soon.

The Lowell Hotel was beyond wonderful! Our room was very nice, included a patio and penthouse view. The customer service was unparalleled and the support staff and housekeeping were very accommodating. We ate lunch at the Majorelle Restaurant which served exquisite french/mediterranean cuisine. I will say it was an OVERALL nice experience. However, I will share a few incidences that could be improved upon. First, we arrived at 4:30pm for a 3pm check-in, and the room was not ready. The staff ushered me into the bar area to rest while we waited. On day two of our stay NYC experienced torrential rain and thunderstorms. As a result of the rain, water was leaking from the roof into the bathroom and trickled down the walls causing a puddle on the bathroom floor. Overall great experience, will return again. Au revoir!

I loved having my afternoon tea party here. Tanisha Reid you are the best… The room is lovely and quaint. The staff is wonderful and took really good care of us and nice hotel overall. Loved it, loved it, loved it!

Location is excellent, service impeccable and lovely rooms but something is stopping me from giving it a 5 star. They seem to be having lots of problem with their elevators. I had to take the service elevator a few times in my 4-day stay. They also don’t provide body lotion, nail file, toothbrush and toothpaste like other top hotels. I purposely did not bring because I thought its normally given in 5 star hotel rooms. A visit to the pharmacy was the first order of the day. Another issue is that the air-conditoner is noisy.

Service is impeccable! Atmosphere is quaint, but lavish. I would give 5 stars, but the mattresses are awful! For the per night rate this boutique hotel charges, better mattresses are a must! The two twin beds in my room were squeaky and very uncomfortable. I expected a comfortable pillow top high-end mattress, at the very least. I woke up with a sore back each day. I did not complain to the hotel management only because if both mattresses in my room are not up to par, I doubt a different room would've made a difference. In my opinion, those mattresses had no business being in that caliber of hotel — period, regardless if it were in my particular hotel room or not.

Beautiful, upscale hotel. Large rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Close to shopping and Central Park.

It has a nice scenery around and a good location, and excellent service.

I've never seen the rooms but am told that each is different and they are great and quirky. We only know the restaurant. Now it's Majorelle which is quite beautiful and will one day be one of New York's great restaurants under the watchful eyes of Charles Masson.

The Majorelle in the Lowell is definitely one of the most refined places in Manhattan with excellent cuisine and wine in a highly elegant understated ambience. Perfection! Nothing less.

That staff at the hotel were so courteous and professional. The food was amazing.

This is the best boutique hotel in the City. Impeccable service, splendid amenities, extraordinary people. Not a cheap date, as one might imagine.

We were stuck in NY on a dismal Columbus Day when We got shut out of a planned museum visit.
Needing to find a place to collect ourselves we ducked into the Lowell for a cup of tea and found ourselves in I the most delightful hideaway. An eye to attention in everything from the Neo-classic architecture and furnishings featuring fireplaces, lush sofas, tasteful art and small Moroccan touches.
I opted for tea and my friend had a cocktail and we shared a few small plates and spent a few hours nibbling and catching up.
The service was impeccable. Everyone was attentive without being obtrusive while sharing the history of the Lowell.
To sum up I've found a place that maintains the civility and gentility of the golden age of New York.
I will definitely revisit and next time I'm in the City I will book my stay at this gem.

Such a wonderful hotel! Best service I ever had. They have a man show you to your room and tell you where everything is inside, and also information about breakfast, fitness room, etc. The room itself was excellent; it was nicely decorated and spacious. I will definitely be back.

I have been coming to the Lowell since I was a little girl and it is a very special place for me and my family. This year, I got engaged in the new club room and the wonderful Lowell staff couldn't have made it more special for us. Everyone has always been so amazing to me and my family and this time they truly out did themselves. Thank you so much!

The rooms are a little small but they are gorgeous and very comfortable. The service is impeccable and you feel like being home.

Bathrooms are lovely, staff is really friendly, the renovated restaurant / lobby is really nice as well. However, the in room dining presentation could be improved, as well as the rooms could be refreshed according to the prices.

The Lowell is without question the nicest place we have ever stayed. This was our first time in NYC and they made it so worth it. All of the staff was so incredibly nice! Whatever we needed, it was taken care of, any questions we had were answered very quickly. I cannot say enough about our experience at The Lowell! Thank you so much.

Love the modern feel of this hotel. I have always wanted to stay at the on in New York, NY just to try it out. I was up in sf for pride weekend and was lucky enough to get a room here for the night. The feel is very hip and the staff was courteous and catered to any needs we had.

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at The Lowell, our favorite hotel in New York City. As a regular guest (I once spent 100 nights there over a 15 month period! ), we had a wonderful time visiting during the holidays, and enjoying the lights, magic and wonderful restaurants of the city in December. The rooms are wonderful and so comfortable, but the best part is the treatment by the staff, always going that extra mile to make us feel as though we are a guest in a private home.

One of the few truly romantic hotels in new york. Relatively quiet, with small rooms, but very nicely decorated and apointed. One of the very few hotels to offer working fire places. Great service and very pleasant, though small dining area with good food. Very european feel to the place. Great location.
