Terrible customer service, especially the manager Finn. The worst stay I've ever had at a hotel.

Perfectly situated close to Times Square. Had everything we needed including a fridge in the room.

Such a beautiful Boutique Hotel and a great location between Madison and Park Avenue!

Good staff great rooms yet another funny shower head but easy to work out location pretty central. Would recommend to any one. Loved the building facade.

I love the rooms but I have to say no based on customer service. I booked a room through hotels. Com but when I arrived, I was told my room type wasn't available. We were a group and needed all the beds so the front desk agent recommended that we not check in and have the reservation changed by calling hotels. Com. I called and got the approval from hotels. Com but they then needed confirmation from the hotel. When they called the hotel, the person that I spoke to at the front desk was not working nor did he leave a note in the computer. Even though I was at the hotel to check in but didn't, it was put in as a no show. This was clearly not true. The new front desk representative advised that I call and speak to the manager the following day as he was the only person that could approve the change. Day 3 and the manager is in but does not approve the stay. He stated that the hotel was sticking to their policy and the change wouldn't be allowed. While I am extremely upset that I lost $300, I am furious that no accommodation was given by the manager especially because I was simply following the suggestion of the hotel's employee. Please remember that I was not at fault here and I am not privy to each and every policy and procedure of your establishment. When it comes to customer service, we must remember that policies and procedures are just a guide and should not always be the holy grail. Sometimes life happens and the golden rule has to be bent.

Correctly staying here, couldn’t fault it! Food and drinks in the Shakespeare down stairs are good too!

Good spot, very comfortable vibe, great bartenders, really good food as well. This is a great bar all around, I would highly recommend coming here. There is a speakeasy style bar upstairs as well that is definitely worth checking out too!

I ate lunch with a co-worker at The Shakespeare in The William. The ambiance and food we're phenomenal, however, the service was quite slow (especially for a work lunch! ). I would definitely go back for dinner or on the weekends when I have more time.

Amazing hotel a hidden gem. Great location with plenty of subway lines close by.

The concierge was very accommodating, allowing us to check in early and also let us drop off our bags for a few hours after checkout. The room was compact but didn't feel cramped. It also contained some great amenities including a balcony, fridge, and stove top with pots and pans. We only stayed one night but I could imagine spending a week here easily. We'll definitely consider staying here again next time we're in town.

Amazing place and lovely attentative staff, food was good but not worth staying in for… get out round the block.

Uber moder, ultra swanky with a bit of classic charm. I just enjoyed everything about my stay at the William hotel in New York New York I was right in the middle of the city perfect for my business trip the hotel was very accommodating. Walking into this brownstone I felt like it was a blast from the past with their beautiful and conventional liquor room gave me the perfect speakeasy feel. Checking in was a breeze I was offered upgrade options and offered an extra bed for accommodation to my room. Going up The exclusive side elevator to my room was a bit challenging but when the elevator doors opened up to art gallery style foyer it was totally selfie worthy witch made the small elevator worth the ride. The hallway of the hotel looks like the elevator dropped Me off some place in the future. With clean white hallways and eye popping primary colors in each room I felt like this hotel is New York in a drownstone. And just like New York the living size is straight to the point. New York City square footage but a big city feel with sleek and modern furniture that had multi use so that was a helpful space savor. Let’s not forget to mention the bathroom… to die for. All in all I will say, this hotel gave my business trip the extra leg up I needed to make the win for company and l went back to Florida with my stamp on the big apple trough the eyes of the William! Rooms are huge with kitchens. So much space. And beautiful decor. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Loved it.

Small little hotel with ample character. Each floor appeared to have a strong accent color, which was very fun. Very clean. Very friendly. Apple TV was a nice plus.

The location was in a really convenient yet quiet area. The decor was amazing, helping to make the already cozy and sophisticated atmosphere even better. The rooms, although slightly smaller than normal hotels, did not feel cramped at all and were successful in feeling luxurious while being efficient with space. Overall, an amazing hotel to stay in for any one.

Large for NYC rooms (ours was), nicely remodeled. Comfy beds. Great staff. Easy walk to many of the local attractions. We were on a lower floor and you do get a little street noise, but the heavy curtains damp most of it out. We had no trouble sleeping late into the AM. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Great boutique hotel. Very large rooms for NYC. And some with a patio! Access to a restaurant, bar and nice lounge.

My flight was late so I missed my connecting flight to NY. Called to ask for a cancellation, they said no. I asked to speak with the manager, so they gave me his “phone number. ” I called the number and it just rang eternally until a phone company message started. Sure enough, they charged me full price for the room stay. Stick with the name brands, don’t get hosed by these folks. It might be more expensive but at least you’ll get taken care of.

I really like this hotel! The rooms are beautiful and clean! Quiet and safe! The bar in the lobby area is the second Raine's Law Room book a reservation for amazing cocktails.

Great hotel in Manhattan. Small room but very well decorated and very friendly and helpful staff. Quite close to Grand Central station so the location is great to visit the city.

What a hidden gem! Beautiful rooms and loved that The Raines room is right there. Only thing we wished was that they served food as well.

My stay at the William exceeded expectations! What a lovely boutique hotel, only 33 rooms and excellent staff. The room design is modern, and well thought out. I requested a room with lots of light and they delivered — a wall of glass! All of the extra touches are much appreciated. And nice white floors with area rugs making for a clean room. Will be back soon!

Just experienced a wonderful stay at The William NYC. The room was equipped with all the facilities we needed & more. Great fast Wifi, Amazon Dot, Apple TV. Lovely luxurious complimentary bathroom products. Very stylish decor, polite & approachable staff. The location is wonderful being able to walk to lots of sights like Empire State, Grand Central, Time Square, Bryant Park, 5th Ave. Comfortable Beds & pillows for a great sleep. You can book with confidence & we will hopefully be back.

Fantastic experience from check-in to checkout. The staff was so accommodating and the room was fantastic. Small things like the daily nespresso took it over the top.

Great hotel, very unique and modern. Booked on Hotel Tonight and really enjoyed our stay. Room was small but not too small, it was well decorated and had Apple TV and Amazon Echo Dot. One could complain about the small elevator and unpleasant stairs but it really was no problem would stay here again. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for long stays though. It's just good for younger folks wanting to stay in NYC for a night or two.

Only 33 rooms, so far more intimate than most NYC hotels! I loved it.

The hotel is quite nice. Beautiful interior design, comfortable beds and an espresso machine in the room. I had some loud neighbors and an unfortunate housekeeping mishap that threw my experience off a bit but it was a good choice at a discounted rate.

I stayed here with my family for my son's birthday weekend. The concepts and color schemes at The William were perfect. It was modern for me and bright for my son. We truly enjoyed the time we spent in our spacious room in between the hustle and bustle of the city. It was clean, the beds were comfy, and the balcony (although shared) was quaint and cozy. (On a side note: I don't recall the name of the coffee maker BUT it was probably the coolest machine I've ever seen. Definitely would spend another weekend here in the future. Also, we reserved our room through "Hotel Tonight" and check in was quick!

Super clean and super white :) The room is big enough for comfortable awakes; a bit limited for staying and working. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they know the surroundings. Strategic position close to subway, Grand Central Station and the heart of Manhattan. Don't miss the pub and the beers in the basement of the hotel (just push the LL button in the elevator).

The William NYC is the best holiday apartment we have ever had the pleasure of spending time within. It is a picture perfect New York townhouse that mixes old world charm with modern and contemporary styling. The location in great, with easy access to all that NYC has to offer. If you haven’t stayed in the Murray Hill neighbourhood before, it is ideally located in the centre of Manhattan, only a few blocks from Grand Central, and easily accessible from Rockefeller Centre, Times Square and MOMA. We were eloping in NYC last August and the William was perfect. We even got a free upgrade to a penthouse suite, which has an outdoor terrace so large it was almost as big as the suite itself! The terrace really was the jewel in the crown and it was a pleasure to be able to enjoy breakfast in the sun with the sights and sounds of NYC around us. The room has everything you would expect from a high quality boutique hotel. A large queen sized bed, which was exceptionally comfortable with gorgeous bedding. The bathroom was modern in style, with a rainfall shower, hairdryer and L'Occitane beauty products. The kitchenette has everything that you could require during your stay with a complimentary Nespresso machine, unfortunately George Clooney was not included. As expected the hotel has free secure Wi-Fi, what wasn’t expected was the two HDTVs with free access to Apple TV, one for the lounge area and one for the bedroom.

Hotel colourful of modern aesthetics. The rooms are very comfortable and seem to be a gallery as a museum.

Decent size rooms. Love the Apple TV connection in each room. Weenjoyed our stay. Only negative was the ice machines are located in the cleaning closet. Hard to get to the ice machine. Besides that location cant be beat.

This was our first time staying here, but know the location well, having stayed at the nearby Pod 39 in the past. If you don't know the Murray Hill neighborhood, it is ideally located in the heart of Manhattan, just a few blocks from Grand Central, and easily walkable from Penn Station, Broadway and Times Square. The hotel is tiny, a true boutique and recently renovated and modernized (the young man at the desk said it used to be the William's College Club). We arrived around 1pm, and although our room would not be ready for a couple more hours, they were happy to check our bags. The hotel also boasts a speakeasy-style bar and a restaurant which we didn't try, but looked busy with people enjoying brunch. When we returned to the hotel some hours later, the same young man at the desk already had our keys and paperwork ready for us. His assistant grabbed our bags and took us up to our room on the 3rd floor and explained the feature of the very modern room. Compared to the nearby Pod and other smaller more modern hotel offerings throughout Manhattan, our entry level (queen) room was relatively spacious, as was the very sleek bathroom (tub shower combo). Unlike many other economical hotels, there was plenty of room to walk around the bed, store luggage and use the built in desk which held a large flat screen TV and Nespresso coffee maker with complementary espresso and tea fixings.
