The lobby staff was great, that’s about it. The windows are so old and let in some much cold air. The roof top bar staff is rude and inconsiderate. Ordered room service, took about an hour after being hung up on and never called back. Once we got the food it was absolutely disgusting, could have got better quality food from McDonald’s for half the price. If we ever come back we will definitely choose a different hotel to stay at.

Great experience and rooftop bar is top notch the breakfast buffet and omelet bar is unreal and concierge is extremely helpful.

My family and I recently stayed at The Kimberly for my daughter’s surprise birthday weekend. Wow, what a wonderful trip! The suite we stayed in was huge, super comfortable, and had an undeniable charm. The food, including room service, was delicious. I loved the small, boutique feel. Best of all was hands down the staff! Harry, Ralph, David, Jose, Darko, and even the staff who we didn’t interact with at great length, were so friendly and warm. I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. As a travel advisor, this is the kind of place I feel confident sending my clients.

The rooftop bar/Cafe is a highlight. Great place for breakfast or drinks. The rooms are also well appointed. Great location!

My friend and I were happily accepted, even in our scrubs after a long day at the hospital! The doorman Gregory pulled me in from the street and insisted I go look… I HAD to bring my friend back! It was a wonderful leisurely experience! Perfect food portions and the drinks were delicious! The servers were on point and knew just the right time to refresh the drinks (long blond hair, 5’6, didn’t catch her name) she was amazing though! 12/10 stars.

Location is perfect for business or a good weekend out on the town. The staff was extremely friendly. I lived there for 2 months and never once had an issue with the quality of service I recieved. I really enjoyed the boutique feel which provides an authentic NYC experience.

What a lovely hotel. We drove up and was immediately greeted by the bellhop to assist in luggage. Check in was quick and the room ready. We thought we were getting a suite but was just a regular room. Everyone was very nice and courteous. Valet parking is 48$ for 24 hours which is a better rate than most self parking garage in the area. They brought extra toiletries and ice upon request and no one hassles you for a tip although we did tip, we never got the feeling they were asking for it. Bed was soft and pillows plush. Shower was amazing rain shower style which is great. Towels were very soft. They also brought a baby crib when we asked which was a nice touch. Overall great service! Would Def come back to the Kimberly.

We stayed here for 4 days for a family vacation to NYC. We had a bedroom suite with a sitting area and a small kitchenette. The room was comfortable, clean, roomy, and the view from the walk-out balcony was great. The room was actually BETTER than pictured and exceeded our expectation. We travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels and I would recommend this hotel for its great staff, location, and beautiful rooms.

Just back from a 6 night stay at the Kimberly. This hotel is first class. We had an amazing room for me my wife and our 15 year old daughter which had all amenities you needed. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful, location perfect, and the support they give you after check out is brilliant. My only regret is that we didn't spend more time in the hotel, but as you will know New York demands a lot of your time when on vacation. But I would not hesitate to go back to the Kimberly on our return. 5 star. Hugh, Grace, and Millie Cassidy.

What a wonderful hotel. I almost don't want to tell anyone and keep this info to myself but I just can't. Our family of 4, 2 adults and two 12 year old boys, stayed in the Executive King Suite. From check-in to check-out every moment was enjoyable. The suite was GIANT at 700sq ft, the beds — even the pull out sofa bed, were VERY comfortable. The staff never denied us any reasonable request and always had a smile for us. Honestly not one complaint — even the elevators were fast! Thank you to the staff at The Kimberly for treating us so well and making our trip so enjoyable.

We are beyond thrilled with The Kimberly Hotel. The room was lovely and spacious. The staff was friendly and more than helpful and accommodating. We felt special. You can tell they care. This is old-school charming! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Each room is a suite with a kitchen. It's basically a residence. Good location.

Excellent hotel… 10 points in everything!

Love this hotel. The staff is awesome! We were able to get an early check in at 7am without having to pay for an extra day. Anything we needed they were happy to help. There is pool access but it is not on site.

I have stayed here a few times while on business in New York City. The rooms are lovely as they are former Apartments. They are well-appointed and often have kitchen areas. This makes it ideal if you want to stay in your room and work and make coffee or inside. Linens are lovely as well as all of the other accoutrement in the room. When I was there last, there was construction on going across the street which resulted in a fair amount of noise. I understand that this construction will result in an obstruction of their view from the rooftop bar of downtown. All in all I would consider this one of my regular places to stay in New York City.

Ideal location if your office is nearby but if not there are better locations. The staff are great and always professional but other aspects of the hotel is lacking. The noise from internal and external sources is significantly. The decor of the rooms is quite outdated too. There is a nice rooftop bar which has an outdoor area.

Great hotel. A bit more out of it than our usual place though. Service is great and rooms are big and well furnished. Beds very comfortable and with nice linen. Dropped a star really for noisy air con and fridge but really those are fairly minor. I think this would be an ideal hotel for a business person who wants something more than just a single room at a very reasonable price for New York.

Conveniently located in midtown. Great NYC feel. Comfortable beds and pillows, we had such great sleep. Loved the small kitchen with granite counters. Roof top restaurant / bar is amazing. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The staff here are amazing. From the excellent doormen, the folks behind the desk and the cleaning crew who keep the place immaculate. I felt immediately welcomed on arrival and with a great sized room, fridge and manual controls for the air conditioning I felt very comfortable. The L'Occitane bathroom accessories give a luxurious feel as well. Room was very comfortable and quiet, even with the elevator being next to it. Only criticisms are the hairdryer being rather asthmatic and a poorly fitting window that wouldn't close properly which let in quite a bit of noise from the outside aircon units. Minor issues really and only stand out as everything else is so good!

Staff was really friendly and fantastic, they really cared. Room was really nice and well kept. Housekeeping did a great job. Really liked the rooftop breakfast bar.

Great staff. Good location in respects to my business trip location. I had to check out early, so the front desk checked me out early with my belongings still being in my room. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone passing through NYC!

Staff, room, price and location are quite good. Size of the room is a real bonus in New York. Must be looking for traditional as no contemporary styling here. Bathroom and amenities are very nice along with linens. Evening noise was more than I hoped after requesting a quiet room. Gym is poor but their access to one nearby more than makes up for it. Best bagels in the city are around the corner.

Hands down one of the best hotels out there. I adore the staff; they remember your name, are always ready to assist you, and are all-around genuine individuals. A huge thank you to Harry (who works in the front of the hotel) and Ari (who works in the Upstairs restaurant) for being so accommodating during our anniversary stay. The general manager, Jorge, is also incredibly professional and skilled at his position. Housekeeping and turn down service are top-notch. It was always a pleasure to come in from the cold to such a lovely suite. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who values and appreciates quality and class. My family and I came to The Kimberly Hotel to enjoy the rooftop bar and Bistango the restaurant. We meet in the city once around the holidays and I have to say this was one of our better visits. The hotel lobby area was nice, they had good bathrooms, and every employee we talked to at the property was helpful and friendly. This also extended into the restaurant and bar, with both of our servers being seriously amazing. That alone just gives the night a great feel! The rooftop was very nice, albeit a little pricey. But hey it's Manhattan, so $18 for a cocktail on a rooftop seems about right. The restaurant was much more competitively priced and while we generally enjoyed our meal, the entrees were a bit lackluster. I can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay, but spending an evening there going from a cozy rooftop to a nice intimate restaurant was excellent!

Excellent accommodations in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Less than a miles walk to time square, Empire State Building, 30 Rockefeller plaza, Macy's and Sak's 5th Ave. Small bathroom but has a tub and shower. 3 restaurants and attentive staff. Don't hesitate to book.

First if all, this is an outstanding establishment! Stayed for 3 nights, and loved every second of it! As soon as you walk in, the doorman greets you and takes your bags. They invite you upstairs to either tea and pastries or open cocktail hour. Cocktail hour is for age 21 and older only. The staff is amazing, and so nice. They have a beautiful aquarium and upholstery. Once you get to your floor, there are 5 or 6 rooms. (At least on floor 5) The rooms have nice furniture, and high quality decorations and utilities, while some of them aren't modern, it is still very pretty. The towels are very soft, and they pillows are nice. Everything smells and feels nice. Due to nearby construction, they provided free earplugs in an amenities jar. One night, it was past midnight and we ordered room service. It was speedy, fairly priced, and in huge quantities. The man who brought it to us was so kind! We had ordered 4 cookies, and chicken finger plate with fries. We got 8 chicken finger, Many fries, ketchup, and honey mustard. Now, about the cookies… Our server brought us 12 or 15 cookies! We were so happy! He also brought 2 glasses of fresh, cold milk, and some little mints. We got no extra charge for this. The stay was fantastic! The only complaint I have about the stay was that our veiw was just an alleyway. Other than that, I give the hotel a rating of 10/10. (Maybe even higher! )

The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks at the restaurant upstairs are very good. There is even a nice view. They also have a fish tank in the lobby big enough for at least one (very tiny) shark.

The stay was wonderful. Very friendly staff and a nice hotel. Also in a great location. Able to walk to many key spots e. G. Times Square, Rockefeller Center. The Doormen are very kind and gracious.

May I start by saying I was a client that stayed at the Kimberly many times. I went to NYC on business during the UN meetings. I chose to stay at the Kimberly even though they had increased their rates immensely during this time. 759.00 for my standard room which usually ran in the high 3 to 400 per night. I still chose to stay there, unaware that their street was totally blocked off, and we could not have our car valeted, we did it ourselves … I worked all day, met friends for dinner, returned to the hotel about 1130. We went to our room 6L, I turned down the bed and found the pillows to be crawling with bedbugs. I threw the pillows out of the room and the bellman starting spraying them in front of me. He came back with a key to 7L, did not assist my husband and I. We went into the room to find someone had been laying on the bed, slippers were worn and wash cloths had been used. They then took us to 8L telling us this was a more expensive room. We did not care at midnight. The next morning we were offered a comped room for our next visit. I declined and we were refunded our room and parking charge. I have been in business for 30 years, if this was my client, I certainly would have followed up with an email apology, a phone call, something … I waited to write this review to see if someone would reach out. I'm very disappointed. I would have hoped for more as a client that has been there many times. Deborah Van Cleve and George Cush.

The restaurants a bit in the back, but you'll see it as soon as you walk in. There isn't too much seating, but it's enough for it's clientele. The service was pretty good, and the food was delicious.

Most of the staff are very friendly, there was one or two grumps on the front desk at different times though. The hotel is an old fashioned kind of nice, big old style furniture, perhaps slightly dated but I liked it. Has everything you need.

We stayed here for six nights last week and I must say that I am positive about the stay. Very professional staff and also helpful. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The king size bed was terrific and there was enough room for the both of us. I will recommend this hotel.

It is so good that I can't even explain it and it is fancy peaceful and not expensive. My favorite part of the hotel was the man who gave me my room. His name is Jorge. I'm looking forward to coming next time.

Rooms were very spacious for NYC standard. Large bedroom area, big bathroom, and a kitchen to boot. Guests staying here MUST check out "Upstairs" the roof top bar. A very special way to have a nightcap and enjoy the city.

Wonderful staff, truly top notch experience. The suite was beautifully appointed with antique pieces and the enormous marble tiled bath was perfect, even had an attached jacuzzi. The rooftop space was a wonderful experience, sipping single malt near the fireplace enjoying the evening air 30 floors up. Excellent coffee in the morning as well, room service was prompt and quite good. Best place to stay in New York, we even had a balcony off the sitting room.

I visited a family that was staying there, so I can only speak of what I saw. The room was very spacious and well decorated, clean, and very nice. The staff was very nice.

It is the third time that I stayed at this hotel changed a lot, along with your kindness to stay I love it.

We went to a wedding in the "Upstairs" of the Kimberly Hotel. The service was awesome and the view of the city was even better.

The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment I stepped in the door. The room was beautiful and clean. We were warned about the early morning construction across the street, which was the only unfortunate part of the visit, but not unbearable. The restaurant and rooftop bar were great, and quite convenient. All in all, a great experience.

Stayed in a luxury King room. It was clean and spacious. Soft comfortable bed. Friendly staff.

Nice spacious rooms for a New York Hotel. Beautiful lobby, great location, and helpful employees. Only annoyance was learning that Wi-Fi was 13 dollars which is usually something most modern hotels just include, but great hotel.

Stayed one night (Friday night) in a deluxe one-bedroom suite, with a balcony, and an incredible view of New York at night. The suite was just fantastic. The service, the restaurants, the suites, etc. Are terrific. Closet space was amazing — very unusual to find such space The entire staff could not have been more accommodating — from the doorman, to the front desk, to concierge, waiters, even the Sales Manager. We had a fabulous dinner in BISTANGO on lobby level — the short rib pasta had been recommended, and it was a WOW, as well as the eggplant marinara — — appetizer of beet salad was incredible as well. Walked to our Broadway show, and when we got back to Kimberly, we went to UPSTAIRS. Hard to find words to describe the absolutely hopping bar scene, including an outdoor terrace with heaters. What a bunch of gorgeous people! Definitely a place to see and be seen. Had buffet breakfast at UPSTAIRS the following morning — fresh and delicious. All in all, a truly wonderful birthday celebration.

Awesome rooms, awesome stafc, but they charge for Wi-Fi… Its 2016, why isnt free Wi-Fi a staple of hospitality?

Our family stayed at the Kimberly December 2015. The Kimberly is located on the east side — — which we loved. Close to subway access, restaurants, and minutes walk from Grand Central/Times Square/Broadway, etc. We had a one bedroom suite which was equivalent to a one bedroom apartment. If you have a family you will definitely want to stay here. We felt safe and had plenty of space. No room is wasted in a spectacular hotel lobby entrance — — the space is added to the room size. I believe our room/suite was over 700 square feet and had a balcony. The hotel staff were all very kind and gracious to us, the furniture and bedding was luxurious. We are already planning our next trip to NYC at the Kimberly.

We love this hotel! Our second visit and the staff are so friendly and the same! The rooms are kept so clean and it's an enjoyable walk to Rockefeller Plaza and Central Park. I like the quiet road in front so it not do crazy. I love the lights out front in the flower pots and beautiful mums. Also the Bistingo restaurant is excellent!
