I understand this is one of the cheapest "hotels" in NYC but for 90 dollars a night they could at least clean the floor or the bathroom shower curtains. This place was tiny. I had enough room for my luggage in the room. The sheets smelled like they hadn't been cleaned. The blanket smelled like sweaty balls. The room had zero ventilation and the walls were paper thin so I could actually hear the the guy in the room over farting. The staff consistently started speaking on the phone and yelling in Chinese at about 7 am. The shower curtains literally smelled like someone had urinated all over them. I have stayed in a lot of terrible hostels. I lived in Vietnam for over a year but this hostel nearly takes the cake. I would pay 3 dollars for it on a good day. I could deal with everything, but they seriously need to clean this place. It seems all they do is spray the room with lysol without actually cleaning anything. We looked under the bed and it looked like it had never been swept. The mattress had mysterious stains all over it. The night stand was covered in the previous tenants food and drinks so we had to clean it prior to putting anything on it. When I arrived I waited for about 15 minutes for the front desk to get out of the shower. Then I was informed that if I wanted to pay with a credit card it would be a 3 percent charge. I asked if I could pay the next day, since I had already paid the deposit and he shouted at me informing me "you pay today! ". Night staff is rude.

4M2 's room contains only a "bed" and a bedside table and no place to turn in or to drop off luggage.
The bed is a common mattress placed on a wooden plank.
The room is in a very medium and dirty condition!
The walls of the very fine rooms let hear the noises of TT the hotel!
The toilets are common and in pitiful conditions!
I had never seen such a dirty and dilapidated hotel in my life!
The toilet towels are dirty and smell bad.
In addition to that the staff is unpleasant.
Single point positive location… Is it worth it? I don't think so.

Certainly. It is not a palace. But you mustn't exaggerate. In the heart of China town in Manhattan with the proximity of several metro lines I had a very good stay in NewYork. The room with no window cramped and the bed linen whose cleanliness leaving doubts I would recommend this hotel for its good value for money. Well heated and airy. People speaking poorly English we see that they are nice.

Decent place to stay. It's pretty much what you would expect for a cheap hotel in New York City. I didn't see any bugs, and there was coffee in the morning, so it was good enough for me.

Good location From Chinatown.

Horrible, of the 12 days that I was 5 without Wi-Fi, a lot of noise and an unbearable heat by the heater to its maximum power in dwarf rooms, curtains of the bath with fungi and bad smells, lousy experience.

Eye they don't speak much English owners but good reception and sector.

Poor reception, small parts and no window, bad ventilation and very high heating, thin walls. The worst is the toilet of the bathrooms, the curtains have not changed and disgusts touching them.
While you are looking for something cheap, there are minimal things like education and cleanliness, you don't spend more money on being friendly and keeping clean.
I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to save a lot and be in Manhattan as the only good thing is its location.

According to the price. Very very small room, no windows, dirty bathroom.

Very bad experience at the Manhattan Bowery Lodge. The room from 2 meters for 2, 10 includes only the bed and a small table; No window, Chair, bedside table and TV. The walls are plasterboard, privacy does not exist. The cleanliness of the room you have to think about the courtesy of the loan of a broom and if necessary even a rag. There are only 4 bathrooms (shared) and to access there was also to do the row. The décor of the bathrooms with the resulting materials was crumbling. The cleanliness of the sanitary and the showers does not exist (so also of the public places). From the upper floor (where the family who runs this place lives) there were loud noises at all hours of the day and night. When the stairs climbed they looked like elephants. For breakfast you had to settle for hot water taken from the tap for tea or coffee. There is no elevator so people with disabilities are unable to access them because of the steep steps. This "accommodation" came to cost 512 dollars per person for 11 nights; 20 yards down with only $10 more per night I could stay in a three star hotel with independent bathroom, window, bedside table, TV and wardrobe. If you need a comfortable place to spend the night and relax don't choose this accommodation. I will never go back.

This hotel is very affordable, but you get what you pay for. Restrooms were shared and a bit dirty, the room was tiny and stuffy, and the walls are very thin. That being said, the location was great, and it was cheap.

It is a place to go to sleep and little else, the room is tiny. Besides, it has no window, the bedside table was shattered, the Cochón's would be about 20 years minimum, the bathrooms were a bit deteriorated.
Another important aspect is that you can have problems of compression in English by the hotel that is managed by people of Chinese origin.
The positive is that the hall is in good condition, there is free coffee and towel service. Another point in favor is the location in Chinatown's famous neighborhood.

It's a run down, misadvertised, make-shift inn, with unworthy prices.

Just a bed, towels provided and hot water in shared bathrooms, basic, courteous and helpful staff, free tea and coffee, basic Wi-Fi included. On second floor, not obvious from the street, Bowery. On the edge of Chinatown.

Stayed here while attending a music festival, excellent location to the green line, great place to rest your head if you plan to be busy the majority of the day/night.

Worst hotel ever, paper thin walls, no real AC, and no windows. Not worth the price!

Small rooms, friendly enough staff. Good for cheap living.

Worst experience I've ever had, even for a cheap hostel (this should not be called a hotel). Came to help my dad check in since I live In nyc. The man behind the counter refused to accept he reserved the "deluxe" room (i. E. : private bathrooom) even though we had the print out with us. He screamed in my face for at least 5 minutes and started pointing aggressively at me so we asked to see the room and speak to a manager. I speak to the manager over the phone who politely apologizes for the employee and confirms the room should have a private bath and requests to speak with the employee (who refused to give us a name). The nameless employee then shows us to the room we'd expected. Next, we need to pay. He tells me there is a 3% up charge for using a credit card, which was never previously disclosed. Once again, begins yelling at me and will not let us leave to go to an ATM downstairs to take out cash instead. Once again, on the phone with the manager who politely waives the fee and again apologizes for the employee. We will never be staying here again and highly discourage anyone else from staying there as well — you will be taken advantage of, rudely.

Absolutely horrible. There are NO WINDOWS, which is completely illegal in the state of NY. The bed is the same size of the room, no closet. Communal bathrooms were dirty and disgusting. Towels provided were worn and stained and unclean. Could not stay there, had to leave and find a different hotel it was so awful.

Rented this place for 3 days. Room was simple, one bed, nightstand and mirror. Communal washroom (with no paper towel which was annoying). The towels that were provided upon request were very worn beach towels that actually smelled. I'm sure they were washed but there was still a lingering smell. In general, if you're not staying in your room long and you want a low budget place — it's ok. Though, the whole place was just dirty in general and not worth saving the extra couple of bucks. The subway system in NYC is amazing, and I'd recommend going to a hostel in Queen's or Brooklyn (which is what I did earlier in my trip).

6sqm room for 2 people. Only Cash, handwritten receipt. Stay away there. Rather pay 10$ more to enjoy your stay.

The value for money is not correct. A tiny room where you can't even keep your suitcases. There are not enough bathrooms for so many rooms. The rooms do not have windows therefore there is no ventilation. And the worst thing is that the owners do not respect the tranquility or the dream of the guests as they did not speak … shouted to communicate with each other. It was the same time … it was five o'clock in the morning, screaming between them. Not to mention the pillow that was smoking paper. Insured neck Pain the next day. Bring towels from home because they give you beach towels to dry out. And do not tell you that they do not support cards to pay, bone that they left us waiting with the suitcases in hand until I could get money. In short, a scam, you should pay more than once in a while.

The rooms have no window and you will hear absolutely everything that happens in other habitacionesm the bathrooms were very clean.
