We had a great stay at Mimosa hotel. Price is good, staff is helpful and friendly, and the hotel is located in a strategic area; all attractions in Manhattan are easily reachable. Finally, what is also important, the hotel is in a safe area, in the middle of Chinatown. Very nice and suggested.

The hotel was very nice. There is no refrigerator in the room or room temperature controls, but everything else you would expect from a hotel was there. Staff was extremely friendly!

Small but quaint, clean room. I expected it to be noisy but it wasn't. The room had thick curtains that kept the light out. Nice location that is close to a 3rd party parking garage. Staff was extremely friendly.

We have stayed for seven nights. Very helpful the front desk staff (all of them) as well as the cleaning staff. We highly recommended to whom wants to visit New York. Good location closed to transportation, restaurants and convenient stores. Thanks again all the Mimosa staff. No doubt we'll back to this hotel.

Came with my son we found the hotel very clean, the staff is welcoming and wants to satisfy you to the maximum. The hotel is in front of the Skytrain but very well soundproof. We were not disturbed. Tea and coffee at your disposal. Room with private bathroom very appreciable. We had a great stay (8nuits)

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. The front desk people were just amazing. Everytime we wanted a specific kind of food or were just looking for a unique place, they always had amazing recommendations. Love staying here!

Friendly staff, great location! Our room was very small, but we may have booked the smallest room as the last one left in short notice. It's located right under the Manhattan Bridge, so know that you'll hear the train track rumbles late at night. Bubble tea and dim sum are just right around the corner, and the Canal St metro is a 10 min walk away.

Just adored this hotel & staff. We loved their cute, well thought out rooms. Such a cozy feeling. There’s always someone to greet you with a smile, and they speak more than a few languages I’ve noticed. Inside the rooms which are typcial NYC size, there’s no musty closet, instead you get a multi-use rack which organizes your gear instantly. I’ve stayed in the Hamptons too, this place is that vibe transported to Chinatown. Again the service is world-class, they want to curate for you everything worth seeing, we felt very well cared for.

Small and quaint, but very clean room. Super friendly and helpful staff. Awesome location close to public transportation. They even let us check in early and offered to keep our bags at the hotel after checkout, so that we can keep exploring before our flight home. It’s the best bang for your buck!

Room was of a reasonable size for New York, clean and recently decorated. Staff were lively and helpful. Though close to the bridge, soundproofing was ample and was actually quite a quiet area. Loads of good food and beers nearby.

We stayed for one night. It's in a great location and is walkable to a ton of great food and activities. We got an upgraded room, which was a small, but decent size (to be expected in the area) with a pretty good view of Chinatown. The train runs nearby, so you do hear it constantly, but it didn't bother me too much since I currently live near a train station. You don't have the ability to adjust the thermostat, so it was super hot at some point of the night, it would be nice to be able to control it, but I get that it's a small room and so I'm not sure that's realistic. One thing I thought was strange was that there wasn't any hand soap in the bathroom, only conditioner and shampoo/shower gel. Overall, I would stay again. The price was reasonable!

I am so happy to find this place. I had a problem with my flight due to the weather and they were very understanding and flexible with my situation. They changed the date and returned my money without putting any problem. This helped me to have a great experience. To bad weather, good face. Thank your for everything!

Room pretty clean and decent in the heart of Chinatown. Well soundproof and fortunately because the subway passes right in front. Good reception of the staff.

Wonderful little hotel right in Chinatown. It’s clean and comfortable, and the people are great. Expect the rooms to be small, but they serve their purpose, and you can’t beat the price for the quality and the location.

Love this hotel and recommend it without reservation (although I did have a confirmed reservation for a week stay). My room was extremely comfortable and remarkably quiet. The central heating/AC system is modern, extremely efficient and maintained comfortable temperatures at all times. Wi-Fi was perfect and I was never without an internet connection which worked seamlessly. Water pressure and water temperature in the bathroom was perfect and the hotel cleaning staff was extremely proficient. The hotel is small, thoroughly modern and for my purposes in an excellent lower Manhattan location. A 5 minute walk every morning to Little Italy for breakfast, and convenient to several subway lines. OI was most impressed by the hotel staff who made my stay extremely enjoyable and helpful with their knowledge of all New York has to offer. They have prepared their own local maps, sightseeing information, restaurant recommendations, etc. I am age 73, a single traveler, a former New Yorker, and look forward to returning to the hotel in the Spring.

Very friendly staff. Easy quick check in. The hotel is small and cozy, very clean. Good location. 20 min walk to WTC. Subway across the street. I would recommend to friends/family. I will definitely be staying at Hotel Mimosa on my next trip to NYC.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Fair price (especially around the holidays), very clean, hot shower, and great service from the guys behind the desk. Complementary hot tea and coffee in the lobby around the clock. We returned to the hotel very late (1am and 3am) two nights of our stay and the area never felt unsafe; it's also very close to many subway stops. I would stay here again and have already recommended it to some friends. Also, the guys at the front desk had great recommendations for good food all around Manhattan.

Staff was really nice and helpful. Room was okay. Could not hear much from the outside although located right next to the Manhattans bridge but the inside of the hotel isn't soundproof at all. You can hear everything your neighbor do. Bathroom was okay. Bed was comfy enough. Overall it was a good price quality hotel.

Hotel is in a rough part of town, and in an old building, just under the Manhattan bridge. The rooms weren’t bad, but the service ruined it for us. We booked a room for 3, through a vacation site (in their defense), and we checked in with 3 people, no mention there would be an issue. When we went to our room we only had one bed, and was told it was what we booked and all they had. No worries, one of us slept on the floor, as we had no where else to go. Then, when we came back for the evening, around 11pm, we had to wait for the staff to open the front door, then, he creepily followed us to our room. Then he called us 5 min later saying, “your room is only for 2 guests, it will be an extra $25 per night for the 3rd guest”. When I told him that’s what we booked, and you gave us know choice, he just stated we must pay or someone had to leave. We ended up having to pay. I wouldn’t tell anyone to stay here, it’s a TRAP! I intend to put a complaint in, this was a total fraud.

Cute little hotel in the middle of Chinatown. Staff was extremely polite and friendly. Rooms are a bit small for the price, but that's New York. Everything was clean and well kept. I would probably like to visit again someday.

Subway line F East Broadway 3 minutes walk. Located in Chinatown. No noise.

Relatively clean two stars hotel for reasonable price in the middle of Chinatown. Typical 20m^2 ish room with good internet service. Great helpful staff with nice coffee.

Rooms were simple, very clean, and not too small. The shower temp and water pressure was awesome. Location is conveniently close to multiple stations, so traveling was easy. The staff were also incredibly hospitable and answered any and all my questions during my stay. I had a late flight out of the city that was well past the check out time. The staff held by luggage so I could run around the city some more before I had to depart. Overall greatly enjoyed my stay.

+ Location is great (close to orange and yellow subway) + Staff is very friendly and helpful + they have a custom tourist guide for chinatown area. We missed asking for the guide though. + Price is very reasonable. Very cheap considering the location. — AC could not be adjusted, and it was a bit cold. — Rooms are small, but its New York! — Sound isolation is efficient against the road, but bad against the corridor. Not very bothering. Generally good value and good customer service.

Quaint, clean, and comfortable! Staff is very friendly and attentive. It was within walking distance of the subway, which makes the whole city accessible. The bed was comfortable and the environment was pleasant. Located in Chinatown, which isn't the cleanest place, admittedly, but the neighborhood felt safe, and the hotel itself was a gem. We would definitely stay here again!

Guys, please disregard any consideration for this hotel. Unless you are not aware that it is out of town (10 mins from the nearest metro), close to the noisy Path rail line, and very difficult to find (the hotel looks like a hidden restaurant). Please realize that there are better hotels for cheaper right in the middle of NY (Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn and the like). Besides they have a 48 hour cancelation notice even when you get to the hotel and do not intend to stay the whole time because of how disappointed and shocked you are. Obviously the policy was designed to trap unsuspecting tourists who decide upon arrival that they absolutely cannot stay in such dingy circumstances.

Bed bug central, which is ironic since they don't even offer a mattress, only a box spring with blankets on top. I have had to bag all my belongings and spend extra money to buy a heating bag to make sure my apartment doesn't become infested.

This place is disgusting! There is mold in the bathroom. Not clean, walls are durty, stains all over carpet. The people who gave them a good rating either work for them or made a mistake and reviewed the wrong hotel.

Value for money. Has all the basic necessities, free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. Convenient location in Chinatown. Very helpful and friendly employees.
