This is my second visit to the Leon hotel. If your looking for a hotel outside of the times square tourist zone and reasonably priced then the Leon hotel is a good choice. Nice location at the foot of the Manhattan bridge just off canal St. In Chinatown area and close to little Italy. This is a real neighborhood where some stores are fruit and vegetables stores and fish markets. Easy access to the subway a few blocks away. Our room had 2 standard beds and the room size was adequate and clean and had a direct view of the Manhattan bridge. Nice hotel over all, I'd stay here again.

Went there last September for a concert, and was happy with the visit. The room was clean and updated, although sadly not high enough to get a good view of the bridge. Check-in was a bit crazy — there were bags ALL OVER the lobby, including ours, from the early morning Sunday flights, but that's not the hotel's fault. It's easy to explore Chinatown, Little Italy and the LES from here, and very acceptable walk to the Bowery Ballroom if you're coming for a show. The Grand Street subway station also isn't far, for other destinations. I liked that the vending machine in the basement was affordable — I'm addicted to Diet Coke, and it was nice being able to buy a 20oz. From the machine at 2AM for $1.50 instead of $5 as I expected. My only real gripe is that our shower didn't have any kind of "lip", so even with the shower door closed it'd flood that half the bathroom before hitting a larger drain in the center of the bathroom. Kinda weird, but not the end of the world. No problems getting Ubers here, but a tip: because the hotel is on a triangle bordered by Chrystie St. And Bowery, Uber drivers might want to pick you up on one or the other, depending on destination.

Bro this was the worst experience I stayed for 5 days on business and like I said by far the worst experience ever in an hotel one : when you throw towels and room service plates in the Hall way u expect them to pick it up right? No these fuck faces through everything back in the room and expected me to walk in down. 2: I was accused of smoking in the room when no alarms went off and had the bald little asian dude and whack ass Dominican dude come to my door every 2 minutes and stood by my door to see if I was doing anything 3: I saw a fat ass roach in the elevator.

This was an awesome location, we were able to walk to over 75% of our activities. Would totally recommend this Hotel if ever visiting NYC.

No Frills but a small clean room to sleep and a shower with lots of hot water and good pressure. Check in process after booking online was fast and easy at the desk. Disappointed there was no mini fridge that I could store leftover food or bottled water in. But, I stayed here because of the good location in lower Manhattan/Chinatown and because of the excellent price compared with other NYC hotels. Had no issues here and I would stay here again.

Recently stayed in The Leon for the first time. It was clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. Very chic lobby. A few block walk to a subway. Close to Chinatown and Little Italy. Nice views of the Manhattan Bridge from our room, I loved sitting on the window seat and looking out at the bridge. Room was large by NYC standards and the king sized bed was very clean and comfortable. Overall, a great experience!

Clean, housekeeping is discrete and won't wake you up. Plenty of towels and they provided more complimentary Keurig pods. There was only a single elevator, but it was decently fast at arriving upon being summoned. Comfy beds and very cozy comforters. Would come again!

The selection here is because the price is reasonable, the evaluation is also good, later sure enough not disappointed. The hotel is located near Chinatown, the scenery is beautiful, the rooms spacious! Near the metro station, 10 minutes to Times Square center. It has no other facilities, but if you're like us a long time on the outside, it didn't need anything else.

The room was very clean, modern, with comfortable beds, a coffee machine and a view. This region until the evening about 10: 30 — 11 point are very lively, holding a bottle of wine only a few of the shop doors closed, and then went to eat some things choose to go somewhere not near, I feel all alone go on the road very safe. Here close to the metro and to Manhattan and many places are within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and all are equipped with free Wi-Fi. For me this hotel was perfect.

It's a pretty good deal — — around $150 per night in Manhattan. Rarely can you find that kind of pricing. It's clean and looks nice. My room seemed to have been updated not too long ago. The curtains on the window thoroughly keep out the Sun — — moreso than I've experienced at probably any hotel. It's great if you've just come in via a flight or want to relax after a day of walking. Very peaceful. The walls are fairly thin, so you can make out words of people in the hallway, but the neighbors are generally quiet. And although it's on the rim of a giant roundabout, you don't hear the traffic at all. You get a decent view of the same out your window. They've got an elevator — — always a plus, again after a flight or a busy day. Air conditioning works fast, although it seems to overshoot the temperate you set and keep cooling. So you'll need to toggle it off. There are a handful of inconveniences. Most importantly, the air conditioning unit makes an extremely loud and unpleasant sound every few hours. I have no idea why. The Wi-Fi is also terribly slow. It clocked in under 1 Mbps, too slow to load any modern website. I also noticed that the toilet seat wasn't quite aligned properly. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lady who cleaned the rooms honored the "privacy please" sign on my door and didn't clean it. The neighborhood has what you'd expect from a Chinatown: ethnic businesses, and unfortunately lots of sewage / garbage smell.

The Leon Hotel is a great price and you'll get way more than you paid for. Clean rooms and great views. Right at the opening for the Manhattan bridge, just on the border of Chinatown. I would stay here again, for sure!

Very helpful guys at the reception, went out of their way to help me locate places and met my stationery requests. I don't remember their names but they were like Harold and Kumar. Great guys. Best two day stay I've had in recent times, I love chinatown. About the hotel? Great prices, modern setup, clean and everything works.

This hotel proved to be really convenient and was part of the success of my trip with my parents in NY. Very clean, close to multiple subway stops, staff was nice and effective. This is in the middle of Chinatown which is kinda fun. You have small shops open late but to eat late (after 11pm) you might have to walk 10-15 minutes.
