Always stay at the Nu Hotel when we are visiting family in BKLYN.
Breakfast is more than adequate. Employees are helpful. Rooms are comfortable. Love chatting w/ Gaga at front desk. She’s a sweetheart.

The staff were terrific and helpful. Pretty spacious rooms by NYC standards and thoughtfully laid out, good lighting, great rainfall shower. Lovely complementary breakfast to start the day.

My daughter and I stayed at the NU Hotel Brooklyn and we really enjoyed our stay! The hotel staff was awesome, the room was spacious for a NY hotel, very comfortable beds, free Wi-Fi that worked great and offers daily free breakfast that has a nice variety of options. The hotel is centrally located to various restaurants and shopping. I would definitely stay there again!

Excellent quiet rooms with lots of light, and private patio seating for each room. Staff went out of their way more than once to make the stay special. Had a great time relaxing and enjoying East Austin for a change of pace from the downtown scene. Will definitely come back!

Nice position, good breakfast (even if there could be a bit more choice) and reasonable prices. Perfect for families.

This hotel was great! The hotel was in a decent area and within walking distance of many restaurants and small shops. Also this hotel is a good 15 minute walk from the beautiful Brooklyn Promenade. The staff (particularly Nathaniel-I believe that is his name) was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, complimentary wine and 2 bottles of water, and a gym on site. No complaints. We had a great stay.

Fabulous stay at the NU hotel Brooklyn for "Bowie Is" exhibit. Was in comunication with Elizabeth prior to visit and confirmed where to park, we could get our tickets prior to check in, gave us info for a Bowie walking tour AND gave a special treats for my Girl's birthday trip. Staff was professional, warm and very helpful as we arrived early and could check our bags and go the to exhibit before 3p check in. Great to have complimentary tea, coffee, water, fruit and cookies in the lobby when WE NEEDED it. Bartender was not flustered to create a salty dog (grapefruit and vodka with salt ring) for me and we were introduced to a fabulous Brooklyn white wine (BOE Social Club) for our night caps. Room had comfy beds and air conditioning after a long warm 6 hour day at the exhibit. Roomy shower with spa L'Occiatane products. Unique art and chalkboard wall to commemorate our wonderful visit. Very nice continental breakfast spread to give us energy to make our way over the bridge and through the Holland tunnel. Parking garage next store very convenient and has great guys to take care of your ride. Thank you NU hotel Brooklyn for a very memorable visit.

Friendly staff and a great Location. We love this Hotel for large groups! The staff gets back to you quick and has great knowledge about the neighborhood to make large event bookings so simple. The little perk of having bicycles to use for the day is extra fun for the guests. Use Jessica and Tanya to help you book everything you need. It will make your stay in Brooklyn be way less overwhelming.

Cool location. Very clean and trendy. Friendly staff. Only negative was the loud noise when the garage opens to let cars out if you are on the lower floors.

Both the hotel and the personnel (very attentive) excellent. Love the arts atmosphere and good art works on the walls.

Linda was fantastic to work with. She put together a comprehensive spreadsheet of rates for the hotels we were interested in. We were able to cover a much larger set of hotels and book a block of rooms at a very favorable rate.

Nice place good location but ridiculously pricey.

House keeping did a good job, but I think they are understaffed. They were late getting the room ready on arrival day and late in the day our second day there. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was acceptable. Room was nice (bathroom was exceptional), but the room suffered a fair amount of street noise. Parking was convenient.

The hotel is very clean and feels modern and new from the moment you walk in the door. It is in a very convenient location close to bars and restaurants. Most of the train lines are also within a 10 minute walk. The complimentary breakfast is very nice continental with great coffee and surprising quality and quantity of food choices. There was a strange banging and whirring noise of unknown origin throughout the night which might bother lighter sleepers. Overall a great stay.

This is very good but it is expensive for the services it offers.

Clean very confortable rooms. Pretty good size for NY city. Jay station is a 5 min walk, takes you to Manhattan in 20 min or less. Yes is in front of a prison but neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet. Luggage storage available and Staff was nice.

Stayed here for 3 nights over the holidays. Great hotel and friendly staff. Free breakfast and 24/7 coffee, tea, and cookies. Place was very clean, but the shower quality was not exactly great. Not something to bring down the rating, but it could be improved.

It's a nice hotel. Near the subway. The staff is working fast. We've been in a storm in 2018. We were immediately offered hot tea and cookies. Which was very helpful. The rooms are warm. He performed very well at Pranav's reception. The professional is immediately visible.

I don't travel extensively, I'd like to think I'm an average traveler. But this is honestly one of the best value hotels I've been in. Maybe it's because I'm a millennial but I loved the new hip trendy vibe of the hotel. Highly recommend.

Worst sleep ever. The air condition was not very good in our room and the beds were not the best; however the location was Wonderful coming from NYC. It was great to see a break on prices and be in a neighborhood that seemed more normal and less touristy. The bike rentals were also a plus. The lobby was extremely small, and I feel they should remove a couch or two. Overall though, just an ok experience. Not sure I'd go back.

Upon arrival the staff, especially managers, seem preoccupied and unwilling to help with our early arrival. After that though, staff seemed to warm up. The cleaning staff, very helpful and super friendly. The room was nice, clean, and not to small. Very quiet for the location and a parking garage right next door. We'd go back for sure.

Very nice, trendy hotel. The location is good, near the Jay Street subway, so easy to get into Manhattan. The reception is modern and just laptops on a desk, which is actually kind. Of welcoming in a strange hipster way. The room was comfortable, but best of all, had tons of outlets and USB charging ports. The mini fridge was missing a few key items that bummed me out. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, with some delicious yogurt and berry options. The one very odd thing is that it is across the street from a jail.

Incredibly accommodating hotel and staff! Just moving to the city with our dogs and we had to keep extending our stay while looking for an apartment and the back and fourth from the hotel and apartment searching was stressful so it was very helpful having such an accommodating and clean hotel to come back too that was comfortable for our pets. Very clean and modern with everything you need. A great bar and sitting area outside. Great management and staff. Walking distance to everything you need and really good restaurants. Highly recommend!

Really solid hotel stay. The rooms, while small, are great. Super quiet which is a huge factor for me, especially in Brooklyn. The pillows we're fairly uncomfortable in my opinion. The breakfast is fantastic and a huge benefit to have included. I loved the free cookies that were always available. Also the drink prices at the bar we're totally reasonable while waiting for friends to arrive.

Great location, close to a number of subway stops given really easy access to Manhattan. Lots of restaurants, shops and bars on your doorstep. Hotel itself is clean and funky!

Location is great, near almost all the trains. Hotel is totally fine as far as hotel experiences go. Fairly noisy area without a lot of charm or local flavor.

Easy online booking. Good information on the site and lots of pictures, room rates reasonable for a boutique hotel. The hotel was clearly marked and easy to find. The hotel does not have it's own parking but there is a garage right next door with great rates and two more right down the street. The hotel is well situated for the subway as well, at least two metro stations within a 5 minute walk and back bus station outside. Check in was a breeze. They have bike rentals, an attractive (but a little small) lobby with a bar. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was gorgeous, king sized bed was comfortable, bathroom clean with good toiletries. Fully stocked mini bar with very reasonable prices and a good array of alcohol. Large flat-screen TV, desk, sizable closet with a safe. Room was clean and temperature was comfortable, the decor was very chic. Could not hear a thing from any of the other rooms on the floor. Free breakfast in the morning with many options for food. Check out was a breeze, complementary bag check on the way out to enjoy the rest of the day. Only regret is that we were only there for one night and did not get a chance to see the exercise center. Would definitely stay there again.

Great modern boutique in an excellent location near shops and cafes. Carlos was provided excellent customer service.

The hotel was quite modern and comfortable, which made my stay very different. I liked the atmosphere. They have nice sized rooms for couples, and the bathrooms are beautiful and spacious. The downsides I had of staying here is that I wasn't told about the extra $50.00 deposit when booking the room. I even double checked the expenses online for all the final charges, and that was never stated. I was only told this after arriving. It's very dissapointing when you are expecting to pay a certain amount, and then there's more added on top of it. Kind of misleading. The second thing is that the floor I was on, (floor 2) smelled heavily of marijuana. Being pregnant, that was pretty difficult to have to smell when coming in and out of my room.

Super cool/hip hotel. You don't get the views that you might get with bigger named hotels in downtown Brooklyn but the location is 100 times better than being in downtown Brooklyn. The amenities are all comparable, but you can't beat walking outside and having all the shopping, restaurants, etc that are offered on Smith and Court St as well as Atlantic Ave.

Better than we expected! We are Native New Yorkers. Coming home is always a treat. We've stayed in other hotels. But the NU. Yes the new Go To. Great location. Fab rooms and the staff? Amazing. Happy Hour was Awesome!

Clean, comfortable, with a solid buffet breakfast. Nice little gym space in the basement. Highly recommended. Only complaint, no feather pillow available on request. Hypo-allergenic only. That could be a plus or a minus depending on your attitude toward feather pillows.

Perfect for our family of four with two teens. Our room with bunk beds gave everyone their own "place" to be. The room was wonderful and quiet and the spacious bathroom with was great with four people in the room. Breakfast included with your stay was a great bonus! The staff was kind and helpful. Located near shopping and wonderful neighborhood restaurants. An easy walk to the subway into the city and easy to navigate. Would definitely stay here again!

We've enjoyed the stay. The location is convenient to several metro stops, and there is a variety of dining and shops nearby. The staff have been very helpful. The room is simple, but comfortable and clean.

The best hotel in New York for a decent price. I like to book here for when my parents come to town. They always liked their service and says the room is very spacious.

Only 15 minutes into Manhattan? Sign me up! This is the perfect hipster hotel, right down to the organic bedding. Stayed the night with some friends and was shocked that hotels can come with a chalkboard. Needless to say, drunken Pictionary was played. It's right by the F train so the trip home the next day was a breeze.

My time at the nu hotel was great and I will never for get it. Its a great place to bring friends or family. The staff was amazing and the service was wonder. They treated me as if I was one of there own. Tracy was best host and greeted me everyday and by my name and that made me feel comfortable, I look forward to my next visit at the nu hotel and would recommend this hotel to anybody that visiting the ny area or jus in the area to stop by. love malik white.

While I've never stayed in a room here (I live in the neighborhood), I LOVE hanging out in the Misdemeanor Lounge. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. It's so nice to have a quiet place to go to to read (free! ) copies of Time Out New York and have a cup of tea. They are also extremely supportive of the arts and all things Brooklyn. I've come to openings for artists whose work they feature on the walls of their lounge and guest rooms. They commissioned local artists to do murals on guest room walls.

This is boutique hotel. Plain and simple. The rooms are trendy and the furniture looks good, but isn't too comfortable. I travel 300 days out of the year, so I know what to expect from a normal hotel and what to expect from a boutique, chic, trendy hotel such as NU. That being said, it's not a bad hotel. They have a FREE continental breakfast and also FREE Wifi. (Username:guest Password: nu8585) I would stay here again. It's definitely not my favorite hotel to stay in, but it's not bad.

The hotel is incredibly well located (restaurant, Metro… etc) and the staff very welcoming. Breakfast OK without more (I prefer the big American breakfast).
