I made a reservation for September with NO prepayment. But they balanced my creditcard directly. I canceled the reservation and I’m still waiting getting my money back for more than 3 weeks. The hotel answered no calls or emails. This is not a reliable company! Would never book again. Still hoping to get my money back. I never made such a bad experience with a hotel.

Nice location, easy check in, nice, clean rooms, friendly staff.

Although it was a great hotel could have better lighting and counter space in the bathroom. We we're on the 12th floor and our ice machine didn't work so I had to go to another floor to get ice.

Owe me $192.93 they say they’re going to get the manager and leave me on hold for a while I hang up and call back and they keep ignoring my call I feel like I was staking someone and this is a place of business Absolute trash.

They don't need to rent rooms out to the public if they are using this location for a shelter.

If your planning a visit to New York then look this hotel up lovely friendly staff beautifully pleasant and clean surroundings the rooms are equally decorated complete with all the usual things you expect to find in a hotel and within walking distance of the Barclay centre if you planning on going to a concert.

Fire marshal helped me out because of the craziness with mom in the wheelchair he didn’t have to do that it was wonderful of him.

No pool for their guest from 12pm-530pm to give outside lessons to none guest, manager was rude when ask about it, told me to look at a flier they have but there is no sign when checking in. Its Summer and I booked this hotel because of pool, and had to be an a event at 6pm so was unable to enjoy it. My room was ADA compliance, the shower had no doors and water was everywhere. When checking out ask for my car keys and front desk look at my like I was crazy and said go to garage, my response was I didnt know. Very nasty was told now you know! Then I put up my car for it to be damaged over 4 stratches and was told my car was already damage. Attendant talking to me with his eyes closed, I ask him to open his eyes when speaking to me. Appears he was being disrespectful, not sure if it was because I am a woman or a latin woman. Think this hotel has racial issues and everyone including management need customer service skills, including how to deal with ppl of other ethnicities. I am an IHG member but booked through Expedia, parking says $35 was charged $45. Also Expedia doesn't tell you that guest are not allowed to use the pool all afternoon to evening. For over $300 for room that was old and not updated. Over priced parking and damaged my car, stay away for this Holiday Inn in Brooklyn!

Very nice and respectful. Made accommodations very comfortable. Whatever I needed done didn't take long at all. I highly recommend this hotel and I plan to return also. The room was beautiful and clean.

It’s 11 pm at night and there are workers outside our room doing some vacuum, repair work. I complained to the front desk and the lady rudely said that they are doing some work and will finish in 10 mins. I don’t believe a hotel gets work done outside of rooms at 11 pm at night & the front desk lady manager is rudely replying as if it’s ok to do so at night. Never had such negative hotel experience in my last 20 years.

Room is small but not too small. There is a refrigerator in the room but no microwave (there is a microwave for use close to the front desk). Bathroom is way too small and not enough lighting/ not bright enough lights (I could barely see to put my makeup on). Decor of the hotel is modern in style. They offer valet parking (at an extra cost). Close to the subway station and a lot of restaurants. House keeping needs improvement!

The staff are all well trained and pleasant and solicitous. The room is neat and clean and the beds comfortable. The bathroom although extremely cramped is clean and adequate. The pool, gym, sauna, hot tub, and steam room were clean but there was water over all the floors surrounding the pool areas.

Writing this from the view of someone who stayed on the 3rd floor, but you pay a whole lot of money just to be woken up by the subway which literally shakes the room. There are better options around. Staff was very helpful, valet was par for the course as far as cost. Room was nice, clean, and updated, although the toilet ran and bathroom door was frosted glass which is not my favorite style.

Room was clean and modern. USB and power outlets right next to the beds. Lots of accent lights. Bathroom was small but kind of high end and had a tub, which is nice with kids. There is a fridge in the room for my use, not stocked with things to buy. Pool and hot tub area was small but swanky. Overall I was very happy with the stay.

Location is great. Easy to walk to lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel is pretty nice inside. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Brooklyn.

This hotel is great and the people are so kind and accommodating best hotel I’ve stayed in while in NY by far I will always book there moving forward. Super nice clean and the drinks at hotel bar amazing! Valet was awesome also.

Rooms are modern looking and comfortable. Has a mini fridge and a keurig coffee maker. The front desk/staff are extremely helpful if you need directions, suggestions and/or transport. Very well put together. I very much enjoyed my stay.

My kids Take swimming lessons at this location. The manager, director, swimming assistance are all very friendly and very knowledgeable on how to teach little ones how to swim. The rest of the hotel seems very nice and modern. The staff all seem very courteous. I would definitely recommend this location.

The people who work here are beyond friendly. This is our second stay at this hotel because the location is ideal for our purposes. The rooms are abysmally small. You can barely navigate around the king sized beds in a standard room, and we needed a crib, so our room was basically unusable. Forget a pack and play, we had to use the hotel issued crib to even fit into the space! We booked a second room for a family member, and their room was so much smaller we wouldn't have been able to get a crib into it—I was shocked to find out that there are rooms smaller than the one we were occupying! The elevators are so unbelievably slow, expect a long wait, and forget it if there is anyone in front of you. We had an 8th floor room, and I ascended the stairs like a pack mule because I was behind a family of six and a family with a luggage rack plus suitcases to spare. We had better luck getting on the elevator the rest of the trip, but the elevators themselves are painfully slow. For the price, which was reasonable for Brooklyn, I suppose I can't complain, but it's not my favorite place to be, so we really only rest our heads there and spend the days out and about.

Conveniently located hotel. Hard to find a cab out front but you're a block or two away from all the action. If you're willing to venture out a few more blocks there is plenty to do! Room was pretty standard. I reserved a king but got two doubles, not ideal for my large body but it worked. The staff was great. Coffee was decent, and it was complimentary.

Its a clean hotel. The bed and the room are clean as well as the bathroom. They have really really comfy and big king beds. It's one of the most comfy beds I've ever tried. However, the room was small and you can barley really walk there. Our room had a view of Brooklyn but we couldn't see Manhattan at all. They have valet service.

Room was of adequate size for a hotel in New York. The shower held a big surprise for us as the floor of the stall was level with the floor of the bathroom and every time we had a shower, the water flowed onto the floor. We had to use a large towel to prevent this from happening. There was no way to prevent this from happening as the shower head was fixed in one position. Some of the front desk staff were pleasant and others not. All in all it was an okay experience for us. The staff at the parking garage were most helpful and friendly. Always doing their best to help us out.

This Holiday Inn Hotel in the downtown area of Brooklyn New York was very clean and welcoming to an overnight stay. My father was wrongfully evicted from his house he has been living over Four Years. He is back in his house and moving to secure his foundation better. The night stay was so on point that I wish for others to experience such great hospitality in Spread Love the Brooklyn Way.

When we arrived and for the first few hours of our stay only one of the two elevators were working and then staff members had to use the one and wouldn’t let all of us who were standing in the lobby waiting for it to finish making its way up to the 14th floor and back down to be told we have to wait all over again. Then, we all received a note under our door this morning telling us the restaurant was closed for the day which included of complimentary breakfast so that also sucks.

The light switch in my room does nothing, the lights are on the way by the bed, with tiny switches. So you walk in at night, and you need your phones flashlight to turn the light on. Also, the hot water took over 20 minutes… I called room service 3 times last night about the light issue, and 20 minutes went by and they weren't there. Had to leave as I was getting late for dinner. Hotel is nice though…

Very nice hotel, super clean, modern furnished, great zimmet and super comfortable bed. A point deduction as it is quite far from the time square. But otherwise an absolutely great hotel.

The hotel location is awesome, there are many restaurants, and shops near by, some of the staff are friendly and helpful, however the hotel is kind of slow on the cleaning services. I left the room at 6am and return at 6 pm and the room was not made up. On the brigth side the restaurant has great food and the set up is awesome. The parking is only 35 dollars per night, and the service there is awesome.

The hotel is in a great location, beautiful lobby, courteous staff. Found the room with Kingsize bed to be very compact. Not much space to move around, beautiful bathroom, again compact shower. The bed was very comfortable, the heat was comfortable. Ordered room service, short wait, the food was good but not a large menu.

The hotel is modern, well furnished and clean. On arrival, our front desk person was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice too. Beware that your room door will lock you out right on the dot at 11am. My only complaint is less to do with the hotel and more to do with the associated restaurant. I figured the hotel has some responsibility in the matter as well given it’s attached. Do yourself a favor and avoid it. Our waiter was just not good (did not come to check on us at all and there was a forced 15% gratuity which I’m fine with if the service is deserving. In this case it was not) the food was average at best and they forgot some items and did not ask if we wanted anything like condiments, etc. In addition we asked politely if we could order some drinks from the bar and they said no because they we setting up for a party tonight, mind you there is at least 5 people working in this restaurant and we are 1 table of two with another 2 couples in the restaurant at the time. The restaurant seems like it could be very nice, it’s very modern and clean. Just needs some better service and food. The prices for the food for reference were 13 and 11 dollars.

Location is conveniently located near Barclay Center as well as many interesting Brooklyn spots. The room was very nice and service was impeccable! My sis ter had to leave thing in her room for me to pick up after she checked out — and the staff handled it so well that I was able to grab her things with no problem. The view is great, close to subways, staff is well informed.

Although the structure strikes for the proportions and the luxury, the management is the staff goes from a very different side. The cleanliness leaves to be desired. Specifically, do not clean the bathroom but pretend to clean it by passing a wet cloth on the taps, do not change the towels often, do not lean and do not hygienize handles, doors and cabinets (you will see thousands of footprints of who knows how many people). Also they don't have a buffet breakfast like all the other Holiday in the world because they don't even have a kitchen. They are associated with an excellent restaurant communicating by the hotel's relaxation room, but, despite being of good quality, it manages the breakfasts in its own way. Many things included in the menu are not provided in the breakfast of the guests of the hotel so, if by disgrace ask for an Italian cappuccino or espresso coffee because you are Caffeinomani and you can no longer drink that colored water they call coffee, there You will find to pay when you check out a good few bucks more… attention!

The breakfast, if you pay first let you write what includes, because they do at the price resume… here be careful.

Upon arriving valet was a bit slow, but got the job done. Check in was quick and accurate. One elevator was down so the stairs it was. Room was clean, comfortable and modern. While I was waiting for some friends to come down I spent some time in the lobby which had 2 bid desktops to brows the internet and a nice fireplace to sit by and relax. Requesting my car was as easy as clicking a link, and the next day checking out was just as smooth. Solid hotel in downtown Brooklyn!

The service was amazing and the rooms was very clean and looked wonderful. I needed a place to stay due to business and honestly this hotel was just the right place. Anyone looking for good hotels, this is the one for you.

It was modern and clean in the lobby, and the staff was attentive and efficient. The beds were comfortable and the rooms, while not huge, were easy to navigate. The valet was prompt when I called ahead for the car. I would stay again.

Clean, great location, great amenities (pool, hot tub, gym, steam room & sauna)! Great restaurants near by and close to subway stations. They are also close to a shopping mall and Barclays center. The staff was very friendly!

Pros: Friendly staff and great service. Rooms were clean, fresh and recently renovated. Very conveniently located. Fast internet. Self serve laundry machines available. Cons: Quarters were a bit small, but that's probably par for course in this part of town. The AC unit in the room is loud and comes up randomly which could wake one up. I would just keep the fan on all the time to avoid that. The laundry dryers don't dry very well.

Great experience! I do a bit of traveling and know what I like and often have gripes about certain hotels but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quite quick which was nice after having a delayed arrival by bus and taking the subway with a heavy suitcase. All I wanted to do was hit the bed… Couldn't ask for a better room. When I arrived my room was upgraded to the penthouse suite, which was a pleasant surprise. Gorgeous view of the bridge and Brooklyn, which is quite beautiful at night with the lights. The bed was extremely comfortable. I couldn't have asked for a better hotel to stay in… The only downfall was breakfast isn't included in the room rate You get what you paid for in a room but I'd think with the cost that breakfast would be included in the rate. Other than that overall experience was great.

Spent a couple nights here with the family, which consisted of two teenage boys. You'd think four adult size people in a single NYC hotel room would be a cramp, but it wasnt. Being in Brooklyn, the rooms were a little larger than Manhattan and quieter. Hotel staff were great, allowing us to check our luggage early and getting us into the lobby rest rooms. Didn't really care for the frosted glass bathroom door in the room, but such a small personal item. Overall, the hotel staff were accommodating, room was comfortable and clean, priced well and walking distance to multiple subway lines. I'd stay here again.

My 9th floor room beautifully located with a very beautiful view. I loved the fact I could sleep with my window open. The customer service was beyond amazing. Medina at the front desk was par excellent. Certainly looking forward to my next stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff. When I entered by room the lights and the air conditioner appear to not function properly. I place a call to the front desk and in less than 10 minutes I had a repair man and host come up to my room and quickly rectified any problems that I had. While the restaurant was closed due to ownership change I certainly would stay here again. The room was clean and the staff very attentive.

We spent two nights at Holiday Inn Brooklyn downtown in late August 2017. We really liked it. The room was really nice, amenities very nice. Excellent location for getting around close to subways. Best part was the staff. Absolutely top notch. Super helpful and friendly including the parking gents. When we needed our car, bing it was there. No waiting. It was raining a lot and they sold umbrellas but because of the rain they ran out — no problem the gal at the desk let me borrow hers. I've traveled a lot and the attitude of the employees is the number one determining factor when it comes to airlines, hotels, etc. I've choices when it comes to accommodation but no one can touch the service of Holiday Inn Brooklyn downtown. Give the staff a raise! Now! They're the secret to the success of this great place.

Disappointing… stayed here previously. Great experience, now it seems like the entire hotel is closed for a private venue. Not family friendly, pool is closed until 7pm?! How are those hours family friendly?! If you're traveling with children here don't!

Good location. Walking distance to Barclay Center. Plenty of stores nearby. Room was kinda small but didnt spend much time in room. Lobby nice clean.

Nice hotel. The room was a little small but clean. The 3rd shift staff could have been a bit more helpful. I was a little aggravated when I had to stand around and wait outside for valet to come get my car when I arrived back at the hotel at 2am… The valet is $35/day but you can come and go as you wish.

Clean hotel and wonderful, friendly staff. My only complaint is coffee should be ready and available before 6 am. Many mornings coffee was not in the lobby until almost 7 am.

Pool/hot tub/steam room/sauna. 24 hour computers and printer in lobby (all very fast). Very clean throughout. Really cool wall fountains everywhere. What more could you want from a hotel? I guess free breakfast would seal the deal…

Facts: Check in took 15 minutes, with a reservation, no line. May have been training day. No big deal. Staff may stand with you in front of the slow elevator for 2-3 minutes and in the elevator for another 1 or 2 min without so much as acknowledging your presence. The kitchen that closes at 11pm may or may not close nearly an hour early, although the staff will be happy to relay this fact to you. If you walk down to the front desk and apologize for interrupting a conversation between two of the staff in order to ask for more K Cups for coffee, you'll be told they'll be brought to your room. If this never takes place and you go back down 45 minutes later, the individual who supposedly sent someone up to fulfill the request will apologize and act surprised, and then rummage through a nearby drawer to find dozens of said K Cups. If you try for room service again the next day, it's possible you'll be put on hold for 5-10 minutes with no specified reason or occasional update as to why you're holding as you listen to activity in the background. And then, your call might be disconnected. All of this, and you will probably not get a call back. Opinion: You should consider booking elsewhere until the staff learns they're in the hospitality business.

I attended a wedding on 10/29/2016. The atmosphere was great & the food delicious. The cocktail hour was from 5-6pm and I arrived early to allow time to take pictures & find a great location/seat. I spent almost 30 minutes waiting to park in the garage. There were 2 signs outside the hotel indicating valet parking. This did not mean the valet comes to your car, takes your keys, gives you a ticket so that enter the hotel like other venues offer. I went into the hotel after …about 5 minutes of not seeing any valets and was told someone will come to me in a few minutes. No one ever came. Eventually, I got on the line to go into the garage. That was absolutely unacceptable. One person was working the garage. One person! There had to have been more than 10 cars ahead of me. Resource Management should have done a better job of ensuring the garage was properly staffed on a Saturday evening with 2 weddings & hotel guests to provide guests with speedy service.
