Where do I begin? I stayed here last year it was nice no issues I come this weekend and it was okay until Sunday! I was going to stay an extra day I booked this reservation with Priceline as I did before but due to what happened Sunday I decided not to stay and here's why! A guest was a distressed and their her family called 911 and gave them MY ROOM # At 8:00 am Sunday 2/5 I was RUDLY AWAKENED by EMS. Me being a single woman in a room alone I did not answer the door I told EMS I was fine I called the desk they said maybe they have the wrong room number. I go back to sleep I get awakened AGAIN this time it's the NYPD a very RUDE cop is trying to get in the room I called the deal and told them I wasn't opening the door until someone came up here the manager on duty came up I opened the door I am clearly fine and I advised I don't have a sister who would call 911 I am not in distress the police tells EMS to get my vitals I said NO I am FINE you're not touching me and EMS asked was I going to harm myself or others I said no! You have the wrong person. They leave 5 minutes later I get a call from the desk they said some girl was downstairs and it was her that called and they apologized. I am angry and traumatized and they apologized and offered free breakfast and late checkout. I go down to the desk and I let them know I am not staying the extra day they told me to call Priceline and cancel and I did Priceline refunded me. Before I check out on Sunday I realize there is a charge for $97.31 on my card coming from the hotel. I tell the people at the desk that I have a $97 charge the guy says oh $97.31 I am like yes he's starting at the computer hard then goes to the back to get someone. She comes out and says hmm we didn't see that charge even though the guy CLEARLY saw it I showed her my bank statement with the charge pending she goes hmm that's strange if it goes through just call us and we will take care of it. Okay no problem It’a Tuesday 2/7 and I now see the charge it's not pending it's a charge. I called the hotel spoke to the manager Khalifa who was VERY RUDE and he kept repeating himself saying they don't see the charge and it's from Priceline but it’s not Priceline charged me $100.07 they also refunded it. He says call your bank and let them know you spoke to the manager and dispute it. I said dispute it? Why would I have to do that and have my cards frozen when you can reverse the charge he goes LIKE I SAID (getting loud) I said hmm okay I hung up and immediately called corporate and let them know what’s going on. They have 48 hours to respond. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again! Not only was the charge increased for holds from $50 to $150 when I extended my stay they charged an additional $75 hold which is not released yet. It seems someone at this hotel is taking money from guest but y’all got the RIGHT ONE This time and trust I will get all my funds back. It’s not the amount it’s the audacity and then HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE DO BETTER!
