Stayed here for one night while travelling route 66. What a gem of a place! rooms were spotless and to have a bar on site with a pool table was perfect.
Mick the owner is a star, spent the evening making sure we had a good evening. Wish we could of spent another night!

It's hands down, the best place to stay on your travels! The fabulous owner, Mike and his beautiful side kick, Lisa are wonderful to hang out with in the restaurant/bar. The rooms are nice and quiet and very clean and cozy. I highly recommend TriStar Inn Xpress!

Rooms clean and cozy. Reasonable pricing. The only thing did not offer continental breakfast. Coffee pot on room. Makes 2 cups of coffee, iron board and iron. There is a washer and dryers room and ice machine.

GO HERE! Amazing original Route 66 hotel. Has a bar that also serves pizza. Rooms are huge, more than enough space, clean pool, super comfy bed and pillows, very nice owner/manager. I love this place. We will stay here every time we go through! Love it here!

If you want to step back in time to an authentic 1950's experience, this is definitely the motel to stay. It was immaculately clean and had all the amenities that the present day traveler has come to expect. We were there 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The proprietor was friendly, helpful and responsive to any of our requests. I would definitely stay there any time I was in Tucumcari, NM.

The service at the lobby was very good, even late at night there was someone there to help me check in. The beds are very comfortable, good for side sleepers. The rooms are pretty big for the price too. The only thing I didn't like is that there isn't anywhere to get water besides the sink in the bathroom once the lobby is closed.

Site super router, and authentic. We were treated to phenomenal, the pool is great and the rooms are very comfortable. 100% recommended.

Talk about old school route 66. The beds were lovely. Room okay — very outdated and carpet definitely needs replacing. However the owner is nice and the place is quiet.

Nice place to rest. Guy (I believe was owner) was really nice, and let us check in early, pool was clean, room was clean, only reason I gave it 4 stars is cause the cooling of the room was not good, only air conditioning there was in the room was in a corner near the bathroom the bedroom part never cooled off, other then that it was a good stay.

My wife and I had a great stay at Tristar. This motel is my choice stop traveling between OK and AZ. Mike the General Manager is a great guy. He is friendly and thoroughly explains operating air and heat, etc. In this original Route 66 motel. Rooms are large, clean, plenty of quick and hot water, the beds are super comfortable. There is an onsite pub with lots of original rich wood fixtures, a comfie place to unwind after a long drive on Route 66. If you want an original Route 66 motel at a bargain, this is it. Clean and confortable.

Would have been better if the train line wasn't across the street that blew there horns every hour or so all night. Ok for a 1 nite stop in.

People were friendly, the room had some nice amenities like a fridge and lounging chair and was an overall pretty good condition. It was a great place for me and my son to stop by for the night on our way through town. There is a bar with pool tables and other things attached but people are nice and I didn't notice any problems or anything concerning.

Not so sure about the wonderful reviews. Comfy bed, old tired room, stiff cranky staff. I expected a mom and pop motel but there are much better places along Route 66. "Bar" was dark and scary and although there appears to be a restaurant, there is not. Wish we would have chosen one of the several other places.

I think this place is great. Easy to sleep. Keeps clean. Fun if you want memories from the 80's! Love it.

Proprietor was very pleasant. Room was clean. Had a recliner and little table and two chairs. Would stay again.

This is a great motel. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and it's quiet. The owner is very nice and we enjoy talking with him. Neat bar too. We make a point to stay here on our cross country hauls.

The best motel on Route 66. I hope to come back soon. Big and clean rooms, owner kind and very friendy. Wonderful bar.

Worst experience ever, I can't even give it a star the owner is a jerk and a liar. I was traveling to New Mexico for a funeral on my way home my car broke down and my husband and I and our 4 kids needed a place to stay check in time is not till 3 so went and sat at benches on their property because I had a reservation. We specifically checked the internet for motels that allows dogs and this establishment showed up as allowing pets. The owner never once asked us anything and called the police on us and said we refused to leave and told us we don't allow pets here but the website says they do. He was rude and mean and I will never try to stay there again or recommend anyone else to. We were a family already under trumendous stress with our car breaking down. He wanted to add more stress and cause problems that wasn't even warranted.

Clean, but old. On the far end of town. The old man running it is friendly. It has a bar which I think it is the only hotel in tucumcari with a bar.

Nice room, clean, well kept bar on property, very reasonable rates. Definitely would come back.

Nice place to stay. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. A little outdated but great for an overnight stay.

Surrounding area looks shady but nothing happened. Staff is nice. Good size room, antiquated furniture and bed sheets (one was torn) but clean. Adequate for the price.

Pretty clean and good motel! Accidently booked a stay during a rockabilly event, and they were incredibly helpful and went the extra mile to make sure I could have the room for the full stay I had intended (didn't make reservations, just walked in and they moved other people so I could stay for two nights). Very helpful and nice!

Great place to spend the night. Beds comfortable, rooms clean, showers hot! Nice little bar on site with friendly mixologist! You name it he makes it! Highly recommend!

Super Hotel In a small forgotten town on Route 66 in New Mexico Near all this hotel has a swimming pool always functional which is rare In this corner (they buried them all) what about the hosts mikes And his wife make us feel at no us in a very short time. Rooms very spacious bed Confo And everything is clean. The hotel bar awaits you With BCP different beers to try more take note than mike speaks And understands the French he lived in Quebec a year diz so do not miss during your passage 5

One of the hidden gems of our Route 66 motorcycle trip. The owner is extremely friendly and his passion for his motel is apparent in every aspect. Our room was clean, TV and Wi-Fi worked great and the small, onsite bar that the owner operates was cozy and comfortable. We liked that we were off the freeway a few miles too. We'd definitely recommend the Tri-Star for people traveling through Tucumcari.

We come here for the bar. Great friendly environment and the bar tenders are fantastic. Average beer prices.

Room for one was a good size, clean, with everything in good shape. Great parking. Has a nice bar in the lobby that attracted a small but fun local crowd and the prices were great. Excellent buy overall for the money.
