Great location, within walking distance of the city center. Excellent customer service!

Phones don't work they've been out for months. Management has no intention of fixing them.

Desk people were friendly and nice, room was clean but very austere. Swimming pool looked like the one from the movie Poltergeist. Breakfast was okay. Best thing about it is the location — it's a short walk to the Kit Carson House and Museum.

Bobby at the front desk was very friendly and helpful about a booking snafu. The pool was closed due to "special cleaning" which apparently consists of pumping the green pool water into a trash can. The grounds were unkept, with high grass and trash around. The room was ok, not too smelly, a few stains on the walls and broken sink skirt. Bed was comfortable, we didn't see any bed bugs. Toilet rattles violently when flushed, but didn't come loose. Some people obviously live here, as there are cars in various states of disrepair in the parking lot and behind one of the rooms. Kitchen chairs on the walkways. A very friendly stray cat. But very close to the plaza, and cheapest price in Taos. I'm not saying the city should close it down, but it definitely needs some improvements.

Horrible place! Don't believe all pictures on website, room was smell, bed sheet smell like never been wash, no coffee maker in the room, floor dirty, bath tub dirty… so disappointed myself spent money book this hotel! Please don't waste your money here… honestly motel 6 better then this one!

Run down and filthy. Said the credit card machine wasn't working so charged us less for cash. Went to our room and saw how awful it was, along with being able to hear people talking and the TV in the next room. Went to my car and man and lady were arguing in the parking lot. Appeared perhaps some folks live there. Went back to the office and said it wasn't what we expected and said we couldn't stay. She offered to put us in another section. Two young ladies ran the office along with two dogs. We were told there were no refunds. We left. That's when I realized the cc machine story was a scam and they now had my cash. Otherwise I could have stopped the cc transaction. Chalk one up for a bad experience! One star is too high of a rating. This place needs shut down.

GUESTS BEWARE! ROOMS DO NOT LOOK LIKE PICS! I had some stuff stolen from here nothing expensive just the fact that nobody seems to know who took my clothes so to me that means there has to be someone running around with my room key! Asked for a refund for the night because I didn't feel safe staying there with my family and owner told me he wasn't going to refund sh*t. Those where his exact words to me. If you look at the reviews on Trip Advisor Yelp and Facebook the same things keep popping up stolen stuff horrible rooms just bad all around.

The power went out during my stay and there's no one working the front desk to even have something done about it. Very scary to wake up to no electricity and no one to report it to. My room was ok if you like a thin layer of dust covering everything. And make sure you bring your own shampoo and condition because they don't provide them in the rooms. Not a pleasant stay for a single woman traveling alone.

I like this hotel because the rooms are very clean and have very good prices. Whenever I come to Taos I stay here.

OMG This is definitely the hidden gem of Taos! Forget La Fonda! Indian Hills made me and my husband feel right at home. We just got back from our honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta and decided to go to Taos for some great snowboarding. From the second we checked in, it was awesome! The front desk girl was really cool and helpful. I got to warm up by the toasty fireplace in the lobby! At the room the lush carpet floors were joy to the feet and despite the below zero temps outside, the room heater made me feel like I was back on the beach again! The white marble complexion bar was so creamy, I almost used it to wax my board! The beds were lush and the blankets colorful. Our pup loved the cozy room too! The continental breakfast was to die for! The variety of food gave me just the energy I needed before hitting the slopes. The staff were very passionate about great customer service. It was like a second honeymoon. Thanks Indian Hills!

Zero star! I was there because I was renewing my house and I thought spend more than one night… Bobby was nice when I arrived, but I smell marihuana breath to the other guy who tried me nice too. 1st night: I could listen the TV show from the other room… A dog was barking for hours… 2nd morning: I left the hotel at 10 am and I returned around 5. Late at night I pretend listen some music, when OH SURPRISE! my ipod? where is my ipod? DISAPPEAR… after this I tried to calm myself taking a shower. Everything was ok. Where is my eye cream? I never found it. That night, I forgot to charge my iphone, but didnt was a problem because I have a portable charger… WRONG! I HAD! some magic thing happen and those thing were not in my room anymore… no fridge, no microwave, old TV but the pillowcases smell very good (cologne of the last guess? maybe), poor or invisible breakfast, the coffee jar with coffee grains inside… You should think very well if you want to pay $92/night in a place with drunk homeless laying on the hotel backyard. Really? really. I don't want to track my ipod yet… I hope someone there call me with good news and I will write a very good rate next time.

Frankly not engaging. Cleanliness and questionable attendance. Close to the center of Taos… city that has practically no interest at night!

Stayed here before and was OK but has gone downhill. Last time there the cops had to be called to a child abuse incident, the manager had to move us to another room because of a domestic dispute in the room above us. Then there was the dog fight at midnight in the room next door. I wouldn't consider this place safe anymore. Too bad as it is in a great location right downtown.

IF YOU VALUE YOUR MONEY OR VALUABLES DO NOT STAY HERE, I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE, there is an employee here, whose name is JAKE, he is a larger hispanic male, with a shaved head. He will rob you the first chance he has, he will rob you, then threaten you when you complain, the manager does nothing about it, when it has happened at least 5 times I can count. The last one being… a little old lady with 1300 dollars to her name. Next day, as shes crying and shaking, shes telling me about the money missing. Not to mention this person JAKE is a drug dealer, having approched to trying to sell me some kind of narcotic pills, everyone else here is great, and trustworthy… the one bad apple I guess… STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK OF BEING ROBBED BY AN EMPLOYEE, STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK OF BEING ROBBED BY AN EMPLOYEE.

A Disgusting, filthy, dump of a "motel". Taos should be ashamed that such an establishment is allowed within their city limits. Sheets with holes and stains. Floor, walls and furniture stained with who knows what. Deferred maintenance issues everywhere you look. Major crud and dust on every horizontal surface above six feet, and every corner and nook. Disrepair wherever you look.

Rooms were disgusting. Blood stains on the sheets. Stains on the carpet and walls. Would not stay there again. There was an awful smell as well.

I gave this Inn 2 stars only because they are a affordable and they staff was real friendly. Only a good place if you like drug dealers and loud people upstairs at all times of the night.

I booked this hotel for myself and about 32 other family members, the staff was sooo wonderful, they helped us out with WHATEVER we needed, our rooms were clean and perfect when we arrived, the kids used the pool which also was perfect, nice and clean, it was very, very nice they had a great time in the pool and all the rest of us including other guests that were there that weekend enjoyed the fire pit outside in the courtyard and got to meet new people, it was a wonderful stay very nice, beautiful courtyard they have. Thank you to all the staff at the Indian Hills Inn, we all enjoyed our stay, we will be back.

Good location! But. Hot water was not working, light in washroom also was not turn on, too. Even noticed it, it didn't work. No refrigator and micro wave.

Do not stay here. First the rooms are foul. They smell of the strongest smoke you can imagine. Next the internet wi/fi only supports maybe two users at a time. The place was completely empty when I was there and I could only get online after 10. I asked and was told that's just how it is. Visit the website for this place before making reservations. That should tell you all you need to know about what staying there is like. Place is mostly abandoned it seems. Complete mess in every possible way.
