Reviews of The Clyde Hotel 3*
Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Good service.
Great place to host events. Have a drink with friends and enjoy yourself in a clean safe atmosphere! Love it.
Wonderful friendly helpful people. Everyone in Albuquerque has treated us like family. We are from NYS. We would definitely come back! ❤
Very family friendly. Very group friendly.
We arrived at midnight very tired to find the worst customer service, unfortunately we encountered an issue with our reservation but the staff made it much worse with their bad attitude. They were plain rude to me and my family, wouldn’t offer any assistance, ignored us and even began to joke in front of us like we didn’t existed, they even criticized us in front of us!? I guess because we talked Spanish they thought we didn’t understand… after we finally sorted out the issue and where able to check in, they suddenly changed their attitude and acted like nothing happened. We are not the type of family who confronts disrespectfully so any bad attitude toward us was completely unacceptable I still don’t understand why they acted like that. I do not recommend this hotel because of this horrible experience they made us feel really bad.
Amazing staff and wonderful rooms. Only thing is playing tetris with the tiny parking spaces.
Award winning customer service, killer views… spectacular atmosphere.
A must if you want to have an amazing downtown experience.
Very rude hotel staff, waited at least 4 hours after check in for a mini fridge that was promised a lot earlier for my son's insulin, the worst part was the worker who brought it up to the room just handed it over and rudely said "here you go! " I have stayed at many other Hyatt's in California and Texas and this was by far the worst experience in regards to customer service or the lack thereof.
Great location and friendly staff.
The best place to stay. All Hyatt Hotel is awesome.
Great hospitality and friendly staff!
My favorite place to stay when I’m in town. This hotel has the best customer service and the front desk staff is always so friendly.
My room was very nice. The room service was excellent.
Amenities were good & plentiful.
Would highly recommend.
Convenient location, nicely appointed hotel and rooms… except! The most uncomfortable short bed pillows making sleep nearly impossible.
This is a fantastic place to stay. It takes effort to find but wow it is worth it. Great food, room and staff here. We will be back.
Good location directly across from convention center. Average rooms. Beds need to be replaced. Parking garage spaces are tight. Decent pool area on 3rd floor, though no view due to high walls. Fitness center is well equipped with many treadmills and weight equipment. Restaurant Forque is convenient, but walk 2 blocks to central for more choices.
Friends had a wedding reception at the Hyatt and everything seemed really well done. The event staff were almost invisible in a good way the food was pretty good for buffet style. The MC was funny and in general everything went smoothly. The place is really nice inside, fresh, modern, clean.
It’s okay. I mean I guess there’s nothing wrong with it. Some rooms are smoking rooms but they don’t tell you. The view is only good from floors 11 and up Pool is shallow and small. Good for kids I guess. Food is a little pricey. Parking sucks. They could do better. But hey. It’s just a mediocre hotel anyways.
Was not impressed. Kids wanted spaghetti and meatballs as listed on the room service menu only to find out there were no meatballs. Kids were disappointed. The next day I got up early to get ready for the long drive from Albuquerque to Phoenix only to find that there was no hot water! So the kids and I didn't get to take a shower! Hyatt Regency in Albuquerque disappointed my kids, and then me. I checked in with high expectations and left feeling miserable! I changed my rating from 2 stars to 1 in the middle of writing the review because I'm still upset after paying full price for the room.
We arrived tonight (8/18/18) and found a few issues with our room. Night Manager, Eugene Berry, went above and beyond by responding immediately, putting us at ease and demonstrating professional and genuine care for our stay. We experienced a wonderful evening and will be back!
Honestly feel like Hyatt should drop this hotel from it's brand. It is a Hyatt Regency with no bell service and they charge for a breakfast you get free at the Hyatt House and Hyatt Place. The rooms were rundown and smelly. The AC barely worked making it hard to sleep at night with the heat. Late night room service food was terrible. It felt like they precooked the food and reheated the meal before serving. The chap who brought the food was unprofessional and unpleasant. The front desk staff were friendly and the only reason I did not give this hotel 1 star. It is the worst Hyatt experience I've had.
It was not so good for the Veterans Games, our whole reservation where all missed up, checking 0ut was a night mare couldn't get nothing straight, charging me more then I owed, did get it worked out took awhile, pool was closed due to repairs but later on night to check out, workers told us they didn't want us in pool? it is funny two day before we checked in then night we leaving filling pool. Restruant staff was fantaatsic.
Was extremely impressed with the staff and the location. My wife and I went to the auto show at the convention center and decide to stay at this location. From check in to check out it was great service by the staff. Room was extremely comfortable and well managed. I will use them again when back in town.
Forque restaurant is great. Good service, good food. Hotel ambience is peaceful. Cool place to hang out on my breaks since I work in the area. Never got a room here.
Good customer service. Good food at Forque. I had some plumbing issues but the staff responded promptly. No other issues.
Great view! Walkable. Garage parking. Everything was lovely. Could do with a mini-fridge, & the thermostat & I have very different ideas about what 65 degrees should feel like… Overall positive experience.
Experienced the restaurant inside Hyatt. As a single diner, I was generally ignored after placing my order. The waiter never mentioned the buffet special. Extremely slow service. It took over 40 minutes to get my meal. I had to grab the waiter to receive the check. The hostess returned with my credit card not the waiter. Very poor customer service. Food was less than desirable. Not a place I would recommend especially for single diners.
Was there for an award dinner. Ball room and surrounding common areas were beautiful. The food was served hot and was very good. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Very nice hotel one of the nicest if not the nicest hotel down town. Well worth your money to stay here plus they have a very nice van that will take you to the airport for your flight. So good all around.
Great location for the convention center and cheaper than the double tree that I stayed in the night prior. It was also a nice hotel than the double tree. Everything was expensive because of the convention that was in town but overall I would recommend this hotel as it's very nice and probably a lot cheaper most of the time. Nice staff too.
Convenient for downtown events. Parking is in the Convention Center underground garage and costs extra. An elevator takes you up to the shopping area that is part of the hotel. I opted to pay for Valet parking; it didn't cost much more and was worth it.
Really nice room and great service. You can even ask for a humidifier if the dry New Albuquerque air gets to you. There's a fitness room and a pool. Good food if you get your professional event catered. I just wish there were fridges in the rooms.
Easy access parking. Very good service and very comfortable the area of events on the second floor.
Excellent location. Facilities for events with good decoration and service.
I was hoping for a Hyatt experience, and we have been having a horrible experience here. I drove about 800 miles to get here and because of the poor room condition, and the lack of help from the staff, I am sorry that I came here. I wish I had gone to a comfort Inn where it's less than half the price and more accommodating. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. Only heat. The phone is broken so you have to call the desk or room service from your cell phone. Don't waste your money on the panoramic view like I did. You don't see a complete view. It's a small window. Feel free to email me with any questions.
Average. No breakfast. Boring restaurant and bar. Rooms are not that clean. Check your bathroom first to make sure it's clean before you get too comfortable. The water smells and the tubs don't drain. There is always other peoples hair in the shower/tub because you can't clean a tub when it won't drain. This place has severe water issues. Consider retraining the housekeeping and maintenance staff. Its Hyatt after all, make some repairs and clean this place up.
Very good place for professional events.
Felt like staying in a truly luxurious hotel. Food service is great, complete with mini mustard and ketchup. Rooms are very quiet, beds are comfortable, and staff knowledgeable and efficient. Also a great place to catch up on Chopped. Great TV variety.
I frequently use hotels and I can honestly say that the staff here exceed my every expectation! After being here for 6 days, I've had quite a few interactions and I've yet to encounter an employee that is not incredibly friendly and helpful. This included the concierge, reception, house cleaning, bar staff, restaurant staff, and valet. I had a complicated billing situation to separate business days and pleasure days and the reception staff were splendid! I left a light on in my car in the parking garage and ended up with a dead battery and the valet guy was so kind and helpful! The other amenities are great as well. Also, there is a pool, gym, and business area, as well as a Starbucks, deli, nice resteraunt, yogurt place, bar, gift shop, and several shops in the lobby. Easy access and parking (both self and valet). My only negative complaint was that my particular room lacked a mini-fridge and safe.
It was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly.
Pro’s —
The hotel is beautiful, and clean with a wide variety of food choices, and very comfortable beds.
Customer service (valet parking, room service and front desk) is top notch!
Cons — Bathrooms are extremely outdated, and the shower knob was stuck on cold. No matter how much I turned it, it would barely get warm. (So that was a really quick shower)
Room service was on time, and the gentleman was extremely friendly, but my omelet and hash browns were very cold, so cold the cheese in the omelet had solidified again. If the shower and breakfast hadn’t been a problem, I’d definitely give them 5 stars.
A very good place also very rich food.
Nice rooms and heated pool. We used both when it was around 40 and so windy. The high walls stopped some wind so we had a great time in hot tub and cooling in pool. Real nice exercise room and bar. Restaurant was pretty good too.
The valet was great. The set up for our event was also nice. This is a very beautiful spot.
It may be a 5 star hotel but they absolutely suck at billing correctly. I split the bill with one other person making it $151 each. Still having problems with being billed correctly after 2 weeks from when we stayed there. Seriously?! I've called 4 times to get this fixed and they still can't get it right! Right now I'm being charged $604 which is double the payment of the room. Absolutely ridiculous. Never staying here again. The hotel isn't that nice for that amount of money or Trouble.
I have been pleased all throughout my experience here. The staff has been professional and efficient. My room is clean and comfortable. Excellent all the way around.
A city hotel, interchangeable like many. Fits purpose: Stay, eat and drink and drive on again. Staff friendly and helpful, food at the bar was good, prices were absolutely okay. Rooms very comfortable and well equipped, view from 18 floors cool to the city center. Parking (valet) costs $20$, Wi-Fi free. Coffee maker from Starbucks in the room, lower in the lobby was the Starbucks store.
Customer focused from the folks at the front door to the front desk to the wait staff. They are terrific! Comfy well appointed rooms. Easy access elevators. Lots of places to mingle.
We got here only to find out the room we paid for was actually never reserved. We got two twin size beds and not the king size. But everyone was helpfull and very kind. The tiny bed was actually comfortable. Good chance we will not stay here again.
This was a pretty nice place to stay. Right in downtown. Self parking is $16 a day though. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. My only complaints: The shower could have used more water pressure, and they advertise a texting number for "answers to questions any time day or night". I texted the number asking if they have drink vending machines, because I couldn't find any. No reply. I had to go down to the front desk and they said no they don't. I thought that was odd. The hotel clerk was nice enough to get me a Pepsi from their back room. I tried to pay for it but she wouldn't accept it. That was very nice. Would stay here again.
Very friendly staff, good atmosphere. The hotel has nice meeting spaces and the rooms were large. The mountain view is wonderful.
The hotel was nice. There were lots of outlets in my room, and the coffee was nice. I had no problem with the Wi-Fi and the bed was comfortable. If I had one complaint it would be that my room smelled a little musty, but it wasn't a big problem and I barely noticed. I would come back, it was a convenient hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Very nice hotel, had a pool but would have liked an umbrella on the deck. Very clean, and has friendly and helpful staff and great location. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. Would recommend this.
Honestly one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Room is nice, clean, and roomy. Weird there is no fridge in the room, but if that's what's wrong I'll take it. Bars are both really nice and everyone is super helpful.
This hotel is awesome. We had a corner suite with beautiful views of the mountains and city, and the room was very clean. The staff was friendly, and we got a late check-out with no hassle. My only quibble is a minor one; the Starbucks in the complex closed extremely early at noon, which put us out of luck coffee wise. However, this was a very minor inconvenience, so I would definitely stay here again!
It's a okay hotel, soft beds, plenty of stores inside and offer room service. There wasn't a fridge or microwave in the room so that was a bit incovient. The phone in the room didn't work half the time and was stuck on speaker phone. Also the drain in the tub was clogged so it flooded a bit while we tried to shower. The staff seemed a bit irritated when we complained that the cheese on one of our salads was moldy, but to be fair is was 12am. They gave us a full refund and apologized in the morning. It seemed to be a bit of an off day for the staff here but I would give them a second chance if I was in the area again.
Nice hotel. Pleasant staff. Great bathtub. The rooms need better noise control though. Heard people from the hallways way too often.
Arrived in Albuquerque at 2am after driving all day. Came here based on price and Google review after a fiasco with another hotel. The woman at the front desk was fabulous. She was very compassionate. I was so tired I wasn't thinking straight. We got to our room, and found the toilet was broken, so they quickly got us keys to a different room. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds were ultra comfortable. I'm really glad we stayed here.
The room was nice and clean. The blackout shades worked great for sleeping longer. However the restrooms in the lobby were very gross and they overbooked so some members of our group had to sleep on a roll away bed for the second year in a row. The restaurant was good — great dessert.
It was an amazing stay for our family at the Hyatt Regency on the Fourth of July. After a long day of driving we arrived at the hotel in the late afternoon. When we got up to our room we saw a double rainbow. We also got to see the fireworks all across town with our view from the top floor. We got a drink from the bar to celebrate the holiday. In the morning, we saw hot air balloons as the sun rose over the mountains. It was so beautiful! The room was comfortable as well and I was so happy that there was a Starbucks in the lobby. This hotel also has a few of those little things that you may need. I was so happy that they had a few free nail polish removal wipes for me. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this hotel. They exceeded my expectations at the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque.
This was my second trip to Albuquerque this month. Stayed in uptown last time and thought I'd stay downtown this time. Bad move. I have several issues that need to be fixed before ever staying here again. 1. Big metal cover for AC fell off in the middle of the night. Scared the BeeGees out of me. 2. Beds are squeaky. Normally this wouldn't bother me because I don't move in my sleep. However, the couple "going for the record" in the room above me made this problem unbearable! 3. Homeless woman walked up to the window in the bar area with her hand in her pants. I was eating. Bartender said "Dinner and a Show". Discussing! 4. Elevator to parking garage stinks and was like that all four days that I was there. Not up to the standards of the Hyatt Regency name. I was terribly disappointed. You will be too.
Hotel was clean. Excellent customer service. I had a horrible flight, and when I arrived to the hotel I received excellent customer service. Everyone was very friendly.
We booked our reservation online and paid I'm advance, site unseen. The hotel staff were very friendly and the rooms were decent for the price we paid. There was always plenty of hot water regardless of the time of day. With two napping kids, I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was so they were able to nap, peacefully. There wasn't a continental breakfast but that very likely was just my misunderstanding when comparing their hotels online. However… When booking online. We requested a late check-in and a mini fridge to be in our room. (Something I had called and asked about before booking the room and they said they would be happy to accommodate). After driving all day from SLC with two exhausted kids, we arrived at the hotel. We parked our own car so we could get the kids inside THEN go back and unload our luggage. The ONLY elevator they have coming up from the garage is on the opposite side of this large commons area from the front desk and the elevators to go up to our room.
Stayed here for a night and ate at the Forque. The food was very under seasoned. The front desk and bar attendants were very nice and welcoming. It was very disappointing that no one knew about the in room spa services that were advertised on the website. Even worse since their actual pool/spa was closed for renovations until may. It served it's purpose but nothing special.
I don't see the "boring" that other reviews talked about. Front desk was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. Rooms are nice — what I expect from a Regency — and clean. No it's not the Park, New York. It's just a Regency, but a quality example of one from what I can see. I'd stay here again. In fact, I will be here again in just a few days.
The staff here went out of their way to make up for a mistake, that's a sure sign of quality. The hotel room we stayed in was a little dated which was the reason for the 4 stars, but it is a great hotel all around. A jazz band was playing off the lobby and their is a starbucks and a nice restaurant on the ground floor. Central location to downtown although the nightlife can get a little rough at times. The hotel is a strong presence for the Hyatt brand.
My Husband and I stayed in this hotel recently. I have to say that the rooms are bit … Boring? The room was clean. There was a lot of dust on the coffee maker and on the nightstands, but it was clean for the most part. There was no fridge in the room and that would have been helpful as eating out can be a task when you are tired and want to bring food along. Also, the bed had some pretty good indentations from sleepers over the years which was not too appealing. We really liked the lobby and the live music that was going on that Friday night. We enjoyed our drinks at the bar right above the central lobby. We also appreciated how friendly the staff was. Christopher was very professional and charming. He waived our parking and we liked how friendly and helpful he was with our friends who were also staying at the property.
Very friendly staff at check in. They gave us a map of the area and some recommendations for food. The room decor was sterile but clean and in good repair. I was disappointed to discover that there was no drink machine in the "ice and vending" area, at least not on the 5th floor. I went for a walk around the area to see what I could see. For a Saturday afternoon, I was amazed at how deserted the area was. I walked down both center and gold streets, where most of the action supposedly is, but ran into mostly homeless people asking for money. Most of the businesses appeared to be closed or a strip/night club which wouldn't be open until night time. Despite the Lack of attractions, I did find that part of downtown to be very clean.
I was at this hotel for a Neighborworks Seminar January 25, 2016 — January 30, 2016. My room was on the 16th floor. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There was no hot water in any rooms, only lukewarm. When asked about it, we were told, they would check into it or too many people taking showers. I continuously had foul smells coming into my room. When asked, the response was it was the vents bringing in the smells from outside. On Friday morning @ 1:00, I woke up to the smell of something burning in my room. I went out into the hallway and smelled smoke, but thought maybe someone had been smoking. Around 3:30 a. M. I woke up to my room being filled with smoke, I couldn't breathe and was hoarse. No smoke detectors ever went off. When I went to the front desk to ask what was going on and why, I was told they couldn't help if something or someone had a fire going outside and that it filtered into my room. I asked to be moved to another room on the opposite side of hotel. I finally received that request. On Friday afternoon they posted fliers saying they were going to be doing boiler repairs from 1:00-3:00 am Saturday morning and guests should accommodate for this disruption. When I left to catch my flight at 6:30 Sat. Morning there still were rooms without water. Several of us dined at the restaurant they deemed 5 star. I wouldn't give it 1 star. I ordered Pulled Pork on a Brioche Bun and Onion rings. The Bun was burnt black and the pork was dry, no sauce.
Staff was very friendly and helpful and rooms were very clean. Bed and pillows were great. Downtown location was convenient to restaurants and some galleries, but not much in the way of shopping. There's a beautiful park across the street. That being said, it wasn't what we expected from a Hyatt. Carpet was dated, popcorn ceilings, the hot water faucet in the bathroom leaked at the base and puddled all over the counter, the tub/shower was a plastic/resin molded affair and we learned to shower at night because there was no hot water in the morning. And ewwwww — there was a rubber bath mat for the tub. No one wants to slip in the shower, but who wants to use that? The ice machine on our floor didn't work and there is no other vending, so if we wanted snacks or something to drink we had to schlep down to the store off the lobby. The Starbucks in the hotel plaza complex closed at 5 pm. What? We had 3 very quiet nights, but the 4th was awful. Several rooms of inebriated party goers whooping and hooting and even trying to get into our room. We called the front desk but the noise continued until after 3 am. Miserable night.
Love the hotel and location. Great food for lunch and dinner and they have a full service starbucks! Request high floor as the views are awesome.
For being a "Higher Class" resort, this place is a dump. My band was hired to play for a 50th Anniversary and all I was give was a hard time by the General Manager and Security from the get go. Apparently the General Manager doesn't like kids. Since we knew the folks we were playing for, I decided to take my family with me. I have a 7 year old son whom is learning from dad about music, electronics, and being a sound man. But apparently kids are not welcome in the hotel. My son was supervised by myself, and 4 other adults but the manager doesn't like "Kids Running Around. " No one was running around. After being followed around by security asking what I was doing there, I decided that I would not unload a single piece of equipment until this issue was resolved. Instead of providing entertainment for the wedding, we were adding headaches for the wedding party because they had to deal with the Hotel Staff and the attitude. The food was overpriced, the floors were disgusting and dirty and full of food. Apparently they don't have a working vacuum. Stay away from this place and save your money. For what they charge to have an event, to staying there. Save your money.
I was there for five nights. Housekeeping did not empty the trash the first day, vacuum any day, and I don't think they know what dusting means. There was a layer of dust covering the light and it's shade that was on the nightstand between the beds. I was overcharged even though we had a convention rate. The sheets were fraying and there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom! And I was overcharged. Four days later, I'm still waiting on the credit. Two redeeming things about the hotel — or I would have gone with one star. The restaurant was above average for a hotel restaurant. It was modern and had an appealing open floor plan. The complimentary bread was too hot for some people, but I loved it. The strawberry vinaigrette was lacking too tart for me, so I added so agave and it was perfect. 1. The customer service was great. The night auditor was swamped and frazzled, but she kept her cool and continued to smile. Shame on the management for not preparing by having an extra person, or two, on the morning of a large convention check out.
Waters of The O'Reilly Factor went there to cover the NOW convention and even though tried to get a pass from last winter to report it they (the hotel) kept him waiting till the last minute. Then denied him a pass and called the Cops to remove him and Threaten to have him Arrested if he ever showed up again. Is that how you treat a guest? Why should anyone be treated so badly.
It felt like being of some royalty, they treat you so wonderful. Two bars, rooms are awesome. Allow pets. The little water/park front, across the street is perfect to lounge in, while the sun is coming down. Starbucks on site! a few other stores and why not be able to get your hair done too.
