I was at this hotel for a Neighborworks Seminar January 25, 2016 — January 30, 2016. My room was on the 16th floor. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There was no hot water in any rooms, only lukewarm. When asked about it, we were told, they would check into it or too many people taking showers. I continuously had foul smells coming into my room. When asked, the response was it was the vents bringing in the smells from outside. On Friday morning @ 1:00, I woke up to the smell of something burning in my room. I went out into the hallway and smelled smoke, but thought maybe someone had been smoking. Around 3:30 a. M. I woke up to my room being filled with smoke, I couldn't breathe and was hoarse. No smoke detectors ever went off. When I went to the front desk to ask what was going on and why, I was told they couldn't help if something or someone had a fire going outside and that it filtered into my room. I asked to be moved to another room on the opposite side of hotel. I finally received that request. On Friday afternoon they posted fliers saying they were going to be doing boiler repairs from 1:00-3:00 am Saturday morning and guests should accommodate for this disruption. When I left to catch my flight at 6:30 Sat. Morning there still were rooms without water. Several of us dined at the restaurant they deemed 5 star. I wouldn't give it 1 star. I ordered Pulled Pork on a Brioche Bun and Onion rings. The Bun was burnt black and the pork was dry, no sauce. Onion rings weren't done and tasted like fish. One in our group ordered a Club sandwich with fries, the club sandwich smelled and tasted like fish. Every fry and onion ring order smelt and tasted like fish. This hotel needs a great shake-up and clean-up. It was the most pitiful Hyatt, I have ever been in. If I had been paying for my room, I would have checked out and moved to another hotel.
