Location of hotel is great, right in the center of downtown. A lot of places and shops to visit. Outside of building seems to be all redone. Outdoor pool available as well.

Love that they are pet friendly and centrally located. Not the greatest looking, needs some paint and such, but for the price we are happy to stay every time we go to abq. Veterans discount too.

Best I could was 3 stars. Here are the pros Good staff they seemed helpful Breakfast was warm but nothing to speak home about. Rooms were nice the bed was comfortable. Parking is free and secure which is nice. Cons: The area nearby park has a lot of homeless people during the day and night. Could be an issue if you are coming with a family. Hotel is more like an older apartment building or a motel so rooms get quite a bit of noise from outside. The hotel is a bit run down for the 80 dollar price tag. I just don't see the value at it's current price point. Perhaps I'm just use to more value near the 80 — 100 dollar a night mark.

The staff were nice. The rooms, while dated, were clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in an area of town that is not safe.

Very nice hotel rooms. Comfy beds. Decent sized. Pretty good price, but goes up on weekends. Free Wi-Fi, breakfast, newspaper. I would stay again.

Great location near Downtown. The rooms are big and comfortable and include a full breakfast and free coffee and juice are available 24 hours a day. Secure car parking on site is also free.

The room was nice. The only complaint I had was that the bathroom sink light was very dull. But the staff are nice, and everything else in the room is ok. The pool was a little unkempt but I've seen worse. Over all it was a great place to stay for the price we paid. 8/10 would recommend.

Great location! Right on the historic route 66! Loved that it was next to a park, dog friendly (even though we didn't bring the dog this time), gated parking which gives you piece mind when your out of town in a city your not familiar with. They offered breakfast too! Plus staff was nice and prices are fair!

Great value for the money. Good basic breakfast. Facility is worn about the edges. Comfortable beds. Some strange activity on the area streets at night, but not enough to prevent sleep. Locked parking area. Short walk to a number of nice bars and restaurants. Farmer's market in park across from the hotel was nice.

Showed up at 3am and was met with really nice staff. Very comfy bed, breakfast was really good. Gated parking. Will most definitely stay here again.

For less than $50 the rooms are kept clean. Beds are clean. Smelled nice & even though it's dated it's kept up. Staff friendly. No complaints here.

Came here for my birthday weekend. We were exploring NM. The beds and rooms are smaller, but more comfortable then our $180 a night hotel in Santa Fe. The staff does what they can to assist you and are friendly. You are right across from an Italian place and walking distance to other restaurants and bars. There is a park right in front of the hotel which is nice since we have a dog. You are driving distance to museums and cool shops. When I come back to the albuquerque/santa fe area, I will be staying here the whole time instead of wasting my time other places. The place is older, so if you are looking for a new fancy place, this isn't it. If you are looking to get the most for your money, this is the place. Comfortable, clean, cheap.

Having found a used women's underwear under the bed when I reached to retrieve my son's shoe wasn't the worst part. The worst part was the front desk night clerk admitting that the room might not of being cleaned by the house keepers because they had been having issues. What made it worst was him lying to me about the manager being available in the morning for me talk to them about my issues. The morning clerk told me the manager wouldn't be available till Monday and there was nothing she could do for me. So our planned 2 night stay became a one night stay and will definitely be last time I ever set foot on such a disgusting place with such inept workers.

I was hesitant about staying here because of the low price, but once I got here it was great. The parking is fenced in and requires a card to access it. The rooms are updated and the beds are nice. It's also close to a restaurant right across the street. It's got free Wi-Fi and a great breakfast. The only thing is you can hear the downtown noises like cars cranking their stereo. Totally felt safe and was happy with everything.

I guess everyone's standards are different. We were quoted on the phone and when we checked in at 2am for $74 a night but was charged $79. They will have to check with the manager to see about refunding us. Pros: Both the night and day receptionist were friendly. Memory foam bed and nice flat screen TV. Bed can be uncomfortable and needs getting used to if you never slept on a memory foam bed before. Cons: This place is very dated inside and out. It needs a good renovation. We were given room 317. It didn't have a real room number on it. They used a sales office sign and wrote the number 317 on it. We didn't need room keys for it. You can easily push it open because it doesn't lock from the outside. Good thing on the inside it has a double lock. It was a very simple dated room. No frills but they provide disposable razor, shaving cream, toothbrush and toothpaste. The heater was not too loud, compared to the Wyndham in Irvine California where we stayed at prior to stopping here on our way home. The heater is not temperature controlled. We set it to 75 to warm up the room as quickly as possible, it took an hour to warm up, not too bad. But when we turn it down to 70, it does not turn off. It got pretty toasty and we ended up having to turn it off and back on when it got cooler. Idk if it was user error but I think it should be simple. Just press heat and the temperature you want. We missed breakfast by 5 min. Some food was still there but was slowly taken away.

Like a gracefully aging dowager, the Hotel Blue is a great experience. First of all, the beds were very comfortable and seemed new. The furniture and bath fixtures were older, but obviously high end like the sculpted marble sink and counter. The flat screen TV was enjoyable to watch. And the full breakfast, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, fruit, etc. Was lovely. May I mention Starbucks coffee as well as the regular coffee, decaf and hot tea that available all the time? I enjoyed my stay and will do so again.

Bring earplugs on the weekend. Its right downtown so somewhat noisy. Front desk was responsive to call on guys partying next door. Parking can get full and you may wind up parking on street. Room was generally clean. Polite staff. Not bad for the money.

After another hotel losing our booking, this hotel was awesome and empathetic and got us a room at 11pm. Beds were great, staff was super nice, breakfast was awesome. Thank you.

Great service here! The rooms are super clean and up to date. The directv is super awesome! Also temper pedic beds are super nice too. The free breakfast is good, waffles, cereal, eggs, breads and juices. I only gave it 4 stars because the exteriors and doors could use some updating/renovation.

Definitely my favorite hotel so far! I stopped in on my way to Oklahoma and got a pet friendly room. Their service was excellent ant the rooms were pretty awesome as well! definitely worth the price.

Been coming for years. But this year they are taking a deposit, I signed the agreement that states no deposit. And I tried to explain to him that's a deposit when you hold money.

The thing that keeps bringing me back to The Hotel Blue again and again is their exceptional service. I had a bunch of special needs, and they were able to accommodate me in every way. The staff is more than willing to go out of their way to help. The shuttle will not only pick you up at the airport, but also take you into old town and drop you other places that you may need to go. The beds are nice, temperpedic, and the shower has good water pressure. It's a little bit more of a motel style in that they have the soap dispensers on the wall and you walk on the outside of the building to get to the room, but the Wi-Fi is free, and I'll repeat again, the service is better than any I've had at a fancy shmancy 5 star resort. They also have a nice free breakfast with hot eggs, waffles, etc. I have been traveling around the country doing TV spots, and this is my home in Albuquerque. To me, exceptional customer service is the most important thing. I will be back when I'm on my next book tour.

A decent choice for lodging if you're in down town Albuquerque all night. The rooms are very clean with nice amenities.

Nice rooms, they could use a bit of updating but the bed was super comfortable and clean. The refrigerator in my room didn't work very well but that wasn't so bad. I did expect enclosed corridors which they don't have. The area is great many restaurants, bars and shops are within walking distance so you don't have to pay for downtown parking.

The Hotel Blue is in need of some renovation, but in terms of the quality of its services I was very pleased. It is conveniently located near downtown Albuquerque, and there are many restaurants, cafes and shops close by. The front desk was very warm and accommodating. I absolutely loved my room. The bed and pillows were cozy, the heater and cooler worked fine, and they include a fridge and microwave. They also have a nice, large flat screen t. V. And their electric fireplace is a nice touch. They offer free Wi-Fi, and a hot continental breakfast which includes: waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, bagels and cereals. My only complaint is the bathtub drain was very slow, which is extremely minor in comparison to my overall experience there. Pricing was not cheap, but not expensive. Based on my experience I can say it was reasonable. I would stay here again.
