Loved this special hotel! Can’t wait to come back.

Bad experience! They did not have a room for us after we confirmed for my sons wedding. It was a big ordeal for them to find us a room. They finally after an hour of chaos, they came up with a room for us. Big aggravation! Then…. I left a very expensive hairdryer that I use for my livelihood. The day after our stay, they assured me they would mail it to me. Well…. 2 weeks went by and I find out it’s still in the lost and found. This is a rinky dink operation with no good management. Be Careful! I’ll edit my review as soon as I get my hair dryer.

Gorgeous hotel and impeccably clean. Would definitely stay here again and look forward to returning when the restaurant opens again.

Absolutely loved this hotel! So unique and the decor is lovely. Super clean and felt very safe during these times. Front desk staff was so helpful and accommodating when we needed something. We had drinks, dessert and apps at Eat on North, and it was all delicious. Highly recommend staying here! Also highly recommend the Mexican restaurant, Titos, down the block for the days Eat on North is closed. Best Mexican food!

Excellent place to stay for a location close to events and Berkshire experience. Food is excellent and accommodations unique and comfortable.

Highly recommend, to stay here. I was booked to stay here for work. The atmosphere was great, very clean and quiet. The bar/restaurant had Excellent food and beverages. The parking lot had a gate, so I knew my vehicle was safe. Skip the chain hotes with the same furniture in each room, and stay here.

Absolutely beautiful, attended a wedding and there are ample areas to take beautiful pictures! Loved the decor. Very clean and staff was so friendly.

I didn't know anything about this hotel before I stayed. It's in a huge, beautiful historic building, with a restaurant and gift shop on site. There's tons of space, including a lobby and huge lounge area. The rooms themselves are very nice, with tons of space and quaint decorations. The bathroom in my room was huge (last time I going to say "huge" I promise) with a wide counter that included extra space and a mirror for applying makeup. The shower was spacious, with two shower heads (regular and rainfall). The restaurant is also very nice, with a spacious dining room and bar. We tried a wide selection from the menu (wings, chilled beet soup, meatloaf) and found it all delicious. The drinks were on the small side, but satisfactory. Negatives… Well the building is old, and the hardwood floors creak loudly. This is a little unsettling when you're walking around at night, or when one of your neighbors is walking around — it sounded as if the person in the next room were in my room. I also think the room service could use some attention to detail. They forgot to replace one of my towels after I used it, and once I dropped something on the floor in the morning (didn't notice) only to see it was still there that afternoon, so clearly no one swept or vacuumed the floor. Likewise, the carpet in the restaurant had visible crumbs all over. Overall I would stay there again, and recommend it to others, but I think there is room for improvement.

What a great hotel with beautiful big rooms, very friendly staff and the hotel restaurant is sooooo good! Also has a wonderful gift shop with safe parking on site. Looking forward to returning in the fall!

Stayed here two years ago with 4 friends. We shared 3 rooms and had breakfast in the dinningroom. It was great. Returning again.

The hotel is beautiful but I had difficulty making a reservation for me and my party. I felt that the person u spoke with was very unprofessional. She had previously communication and customer service skills. All the other staff I spoke with was very helpful and friendly. The decor is fantastic.

What to say? This place is phenomenal. Spacious, one of a kind rooms, impeccable staff, and countless modern amenities. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in!

Food very good, waiter very nice. We are residents of the area and have been before enjoy the food and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Really nice here. The nearby attractions are within walking distance. It has a natural charm to it when being in the rooms. Also the showers are great!

The accommodations were beautiful and perfect for our family of four. The two kiddos loved the room and our youngest couldn't have been happier with his own bed that was made-up nicely at ground level to accommodate him being a rambunctious two year-old. Everyone treated us with kindness and truly showed authentic interest in our family, our needs, and our time at the hotel. The hotel put a lot of thought into their design. I could write a novel on this one topic in relation to the level of detail given to ensure from ages 0+, needs are met, but I'll keep it brief with one quick story. When we visited the 2nd floor lounge because our two year old needed to let off some energy they had a library with two reading nooks. The bookshelf was organized from top to bottom with 0+ books and activities starting at the bottom and rising to the top based on age! He literally walked over, pulled book and a game of the shelf and just started playing. I can't speak more highly of this hotel. And on one quick final note, the food is incredible and affordable. There is no need to stress about any aspect of your stay while here. Simply unpack and enjoy.

The staff is excellent. They made my stay a rememberable one. Whether it be romantic which I strongly suggest the library room or business which I suggest room 215 it's a hotel I will always remember.

No words to describe the stunning vibe this place gives. Where country meets hipster, where farm to table meets high end. As with any Main Street hospitality managed hotel, the customer service is exceptional. They have a stellar menu, lovely staff and are always looking to make your experience extra special. Will definitely return.

Beautiful Hotel, lovely rooms, attentive and friendly staff that leave no detail unattended to. I loved everything about my stay and this hotel, but what was the most remarkable for me was I stayed during one of the worst nor'easter which dumped 20+ inches of snow on the area, I purposely left my room early enough in the morning to clear my car of all the snow only to find it had been cleared entirely for me, what a nice surprise and an extremely kind and thoughtful act. Thank you for making my stay one to remember, I will be back again.

Best place I've stayed at in years! Beautifully restored building with up to date comforts. Attention to detail is amazing… personalized welcome card, glass water bottle by the bed, homemade chocolates on bedside table, interesting books to read, games to play, soft lighting, great seating, amazing bathrooms, super comfortable mattresses, great complimentary coffee/fancy teas/yummy muffins, etc… SO many amazing little touches that make this a truly great place to stay! Not to mention hotel staff is friendly and restaurant in the hotel is amazing. We were skiing at Jiminy Peak resort but so glad we stayed here instead of on the mountain. Short drive to Jiminy. Everyone, including my children, loved this place! Well deserved 5 stars. Highly recommend staying here.

The atmosphere here is perfect. The selection of food and drink is top notch. Located conveniently on North St in down town Pittsfield makes this a great place for dates or to! eet up with friends or coworkers.

Excellent boutique hotel in the heart of Pittsfield. Close to all the attractions of the Berkshires makes it extra convenient. Rooms are spacious and thoughtful while the food and drinks at the restaurant & bar are solid for any meals of the day. Nice lounge areas on the main floor are great for gatherings of friends or family. There is also a small business area if you need it as well as a game room for kids, or adults who still like to play like kids. Special mention should go to the staff as they have always been especially helpful and pleasant to deal with. 5 stars all around!

Best of the Berkshires. Great huge bar, nice wines, raw bar is diverse and fresh given location. Rooms are magnificent, eclectic, unique gems. Admin and staff clearly love what they do and are good at it. Should add Rémy and other cognacs, etc. To the well-stacked bar.

Went to Eat on North for lunch and beers with a party of 4. Beer/food selection, service, and atmosphere we're all excellent. Food menu is creative with nice vegetarian options.

I went on a busy night after Thanksgiving and had a great time. The bar is large, but the bartenders are attentive an present in appropriate numbers for the crowd. The lounge is a great place to escape the noise. Check out the gift shop too. We got some great presents for ourselves and others there.

Great hotel, loved the room and the robes… nice touch. We had a fireplace room (would highly recommend). We also dined at Eat on North for dinner, and ordered room service for breakfast… delicious food. We will do it again… highly recommended!

Every time I visit Hotel on North I am blown away by what a great place this is. Last night was no exception as I learned a little more about them. I got to tour some of their rooms, including the Library Suite which is over the top amazing for a book lover like me. I also saw first hand their approach to supporting local artisans. Everything in their rooms is either Berkshire made or Berkshire bought. They have a list of those artisans on their web site if you're curious about that. If you ever have occasion to stay in the Berkshires I highly recommend this gem. Great food, great people and great vibe.

Quite a nice restaurant with a good bar and raw bar. A good place for a dinner party or a smaller night out. There are always cocktail specials and the menu changes on the regular.

I love the food here. It feels like a classy restaurant in a big city. The restaurant and hotel are absolutely beautiful. We need more like this on north st. Perfect blend of historic charm and modern updates.

Everything, from the lounging areas to the personnel, the amenities and the food was spectacularly good. The rooms were extremely large and comfortable, the air conditioning was so quiet we didn't even know if it was on! The bathroom was huge and extremely well done (fabulous shower) and every single service was delivered as promised. I would go back tomorrow! The hotel is not only pet-friendly but staff members stopped their duties long enough to greet our dog and made her feel as welcome as we felt! This is a model for the hotel industry to emulate. I have travelled worldwide for almost 50 years and can honestly say that Hotel on North is one of the five best stays — in my life!

God I love this place. And pictures do not do it any justice, this place is stunning. The staff is great. Well worth whatever they are charging.

Didn't have a reservation. Was able to get a room with two queen beds for less than a $150 on a weekday. Alexis at the front desk was very polite and accommodating. The room had a large smart TV with Netflix, two robes, a well stocked mini bar, large bathroom, and portable phone. If I'm ever in the area again, this is where I'm making reservations!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this one of a kind hotel. The rooms are tastefully designed and spacious. I enjoyed hanging out with friends in the central atrium area on the second floor with its large table, and funky furnishings. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. I also took advantage of the free L2 electric vehicle charging stations in their secured parking lot.

I was especially touched by Hotel on North's homage to the history of Pittsfield's industrial past. Its fresh take is stunning in every detail. We so enjoyed our stay, and the staff went the extra distance to make my birthday special. The restaurant is hip and homey all at once, with meatloaf and mac and cheese on the menu along with a fantastic oyster bar. We'll be back!

Went there for sister weekend getaway. Very cool hotel. Older building with modern decor and tons of interesting detail. Our room was quite spacious and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We visited the hotel bar before calling it a night. We had oysters​, champagne and the cheese board… Quite delightful and all well done and beautiful. We will be back.

Wonderful place to stay. Not your typical hotel. The rooms are fantastic with hard wood floors and the staff is great and always helpful and very friendly.

The three ladies at the check in didn't seem to know the hotel nor my reservation well. I mentioned I booked a "museum madness" package and they had no clue what that was and had no intention to find out. They just simply said "i have idea what that is" period! I had to tell them what that was and they seemed very reluctant to get to the details. I was never greeted and no single one of them say "welcome to our hotel" or anything similar. They told conflicting information about the restaurant and breakfast hours and so on… they were not rude or impolite but just simply unwelcoming and clueless and not eager to offer assistance. A big fancy hotel chain would have the perhaps pretentious warm welcome, a small boutique hotel would have the personal touch and charm. Your front desk unfortunately has neither.

Read about this hotel in architectural digest, and it lived up to everything we hoped it would be. Beautifully designed, luxurious, spacious, and perfect for our family. This hotel would be $5-600 minimum in NYC. Gives you an idea of the quality of hotel this is. Only downside was the restaurant not being open during its winter hours.

Hotel in North is an outstanding addition to Pittsfield and downtown. The interior is gorgeous; so many details and locally designed furniture and wares. I've had brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks here — — I recommend it all. Entrées are affordable for any budget and you can be assured that it will be made with care, from a $12 burger to $30 steak and even more extravagant shared meals. My friend's parents spent a weekend at the hotel and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were also beautiful and full of personal touches, overlooking downtown.
