Crowne Plaza Pittsfield Berkshires offers a comfortable stay at reasonable prices. With an AAA card, the price per night is a little over $100. This hotel is currently undergoing renovation. The renovated rooms are quite nice and modern. It is said that this hotel will become a Holiday Inn hotel. The reality is that this renovation is quite needy as the hotel outside and inside had several aesthetic needs. Also the parking is quite disorganized and needs a refurbishment. I hope by next year the renovations are over and this hotel may be a little better. For now it rated it with 4 stars simply and simply because it is located in a convenient place if the destination is the city of pittsfield. Bechego.

It was ok. Although it is under renovation. Pool was good. Breakfast and restaurant is not bad.

Room was nice. Hotel is under construction. Food was good in the hotel. Parking garage is also be redone.

MAKE SURE YOU GET A NEWLY RENOVATED ROOM (or, do NOT stay there) … DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT accept one of the old rooms that has not been renovated, they are absolutely DISGUSTING. Newly renovated rooms are fine. Hotel is in the middle of a remodel, so all will be converted to new rooms eventually. Parking deck is another story, it is dark, creepy and filthy. Other chains are in the area as well. As always, do your research and see what other travelers have to say.

We stayed on the 12th floor it was a nice view but the room was kinda small. But they are renovating the whole place so I'm sure it will be very nice when done.

There are some renovations being done and I look forward to seeing it when it's done. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The rooms were a little small and I felt like we were bumping walls all the time. We were only there for a short visit and we would probably go again.

Loved the 12p checkout. Clean. No free breakfast but the restaurant Buffett was delicious! Spa inside hotel for massage, nails, facials, etc. Grocery store with liquor store right across the street. Within walking distance to food, bars, & shopping.

The room was nice and clean. I was on the 12th floor and was happy to see renovations underway. Although, they should have closed down a floor at a time to do away with the smell in the halls. The staff was friendly enough even though they got a bit off a huff when I wanted coffee for the maker in the morning. Joe was sent up with decaf instead of regular but made it right. The pool and jacuzzi were very nice and warm as well. Very clean with towels readily available. The big disappointment was the restaurant and bar. The menu is a truncated version of what's shown available on the website. The website shows off a very nice dining area and extensive menu. When we showed up there was a photocopied menu with only a handful of the items on the menu I had seen online. We decided to finish our drinks and go elsewhere. The martini was extremely strong and tasted like a fancy cup of vodka. My partner went back down for a night cap while I was getting ready for bed and was hastily berated with questions of what happened and insinuations that she needed help. She came back talking about how strange it was for her to assume that something was wrong. She also seemed a bit tipsy, too, allegedly. I didn't see it with my eyes. I don't drink alcohol and was getting ready for bed. Your staff shouldn't assume that something is wrong and pry that deeply into your guests goings on.

Terrible experience. They are doing renovations and there are such strong paint and chemical fumes. When you address it with the front desk they couldn’t care. Stayed two days, broke out into hives, terrible headaches, felt sick. Several other people were complaining and they were treating all of us terribly. When we said we felt sick and needed water they charged us $1 for the small 6oz bottles. They don’t even have water or coffee in the lobby. Even cheap motels have water in their lobby. Eventually they offered to switch my room to a downgraded room right by the pool, to now be by chlorine fumes and screaming children. Great vacation! Thanks crown plaza. At time While booking was I informed of renovations and possible inconvenience. The only nice part Was the woman I first booked with who was polite but did not inform me of renovations.

The hotel is very old and had never been renovated. I've been there 3 weeks and 1 elevator out of 3 was working. The parking lot is so old that most of it is closed. The rooms are OK. The personal very nice. But the breakfast is a shame. No fruits (except on weekends) and very small selection for 12.50$! And when you ask for tea, you have the choice between Lipton yellow or Lipton green. Beurk! It is very well located.

Room was nice, beds were very comfortable. The pool looked very nice but I was unable to enjoy most amenities due to time constraints. Staff was all very pleasant and helpful.

Under new management I believe. I raised my review from 1 star to 4. The front desk people are much more friendly and helpful. The only reason it's not 5 is it could use some updating.

This is a huge hotel. No water pressure on 12th floor and water barely hot. Indoor heated pool is kept at 94 degrees. It's too deep for anyone less than four feet tall so no little kids.

Decent if a little old rooms. Breakfast is a bit pricey but is well done. Lobby is the most impressive part of the hotel.

Check in was simple. Too many children. Not enough waiters and help in restaurant. Elevators need maintenance, kept stopping on 2nd floor no matter what. Walls are thin, you can hear everything. View is good though, overlooked town. Temperature in room needs work. Maids need to be reminded to change sheets and towels daily and didn't replenish the coffee and sugar. The spa had no openings, very disappointed.

Could use lobby/building update but nice rooms and friendly staff at a reasonable price.

I will never revisit this hotel. Extremely offended. I checked out, informed the front desk clerk that I was going to park in their parking area, available for use for those wishing to peruse the surrounding town shops. I also mentioned I was going to check the air in my tires, and could I use the lobby restroom afterward. She said yes, and directed me to where it was. A little while later, after my having used their restroom, the manager of the adjacent hotel restaurant questioned me warily as to whether I was staying in the hotel. I replied that I had just checked out, was using the restroom, and proceeded to the main lobby. As I paused to rest on a lobby comfy couch, I clearly saw and heard the restaurant manager, who had come up front to confer with the front desk attendant as to my status. She replied simply that I had come in to use the restroom, and he looked over at me distrustfully. The second I checked out of this establishment I was made to feel hostility, unwelcome. I was treated like a vagrant off the street. What if I had been? Shameful to treat any person with such disdain and lack of dignity for simply using a restroom facility, and that quickly. This man spoiled what otherwise would have been a lovely experience, but I am averse to those who do not treat others with kindness.

Really nice hotel, especially for the nightly rate! Rooms are good size and clean. In need of some updates but everything is still nice. Pool is very nice and clean. Buffet breakfast is good but a little pricey for what you get I think. Overall very nice stay and I would definitely come back!

I was there for a food and craft fair. Hotel lobby was inviting, stylish, and modern. Staff was accommodating and helpful. Located in downtown Pittsfield it was easy to find and had a parking garage.

The facilities need to be updated, but everything was clean and acceptable. Very comfortable bed. The location is perfect to explore town and the price was right. I would stay there again. The parking garage is scary and really needs repairs.

Where do I start hmmmmmmm. 1) They put our elderly parents on a level that had no elevator near the pool and it stunk like chlorine. Made them nauseous. They found out later it was the smoking rooms and they did not ask for one of those. 2) There was a wedding party there that caused so much noise till 5am 2 day’s in a row. Many customers complained. 3) The parking situation is absolutely absurd. Like 30 spots in the whole garage. Pray concrete doesn’t fall and scratch or dent your roof. You have to park on the side of the road and hope junkies don’t bash your windows in at 3am. 4) The elevators are on there last leg and you spend more time waiting for them versus sleeping in your room. 5) Our room had a funky old throw up smell to it which we killed with incense. 6) The a/c was useless. Room remained at 72 for 2 day’s. 7) They took 18 day’s to charge my debit card and screwed up the price royally. 8) One person we traveled with had their credit card information stolen by this hotels employees and were charged $1500 at Home Depot. Obviously their bank fixed it. 9) I didn’t get to enjoy myself at all or get to relax because of all the noise and it cost $310 for 2 nights. 10) Another person we traveled with was charged for 3 rooms. They knew they screwed up yet held onto $600 for 3 day’s. 11) Avoid this place all costs. It’s truly a dying building. None of this is fabricated, it’s just a horribly managed hotel that probably needs to just die.

An 90's hotel that hasn't been renovated in over 20 years, in unsafe part of town. It's clean, with excellent service, but homeless and shady looking characters come in and out freely. Doesn't feel safe at all.

Everything here was great. Room was nice, good indoor pool, great, breakfast. Several good restaurants in walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I've stayed at many hotels, and this was by far one of my worst experiences. Upon initial arrival, we asked the front desk attendant if our stock Toyota Tundra pickup truck would fit in the parking garage, he said yes. It fit, however, not without the yellow hight measurement bar dragging along the top of our roof (the nearly full parking garage is a bear to navigate to navigate with a full-size truck). Also, there was a disgusting exhaust vent above our shower, which seemingly had never been cleaned before. It was packed with dust, mold and who knows what else; I'd hate to imagine what their duct looks like, after all, it's only the air we breathe, right!? The room that we paid for was booked for a king, but naturally, the bed we got was only a queen. The bed was clean and surprisingly comfortable, however, don't plan on getting too much rest if they put you in a room within a close proximity of the elevators, because they'll be clunking all night long. We gave the hotel breakfast a try, (and no, that's not included with your stay) only to find that the price, which was over $13 per guest, was just a hot and cold buffet, no menu was even offered. The 'icing on the cake' was when we checked our credit card statement to find that instead of using our rewards points for the hotel room (which is how we booked! ) we were charged over $285 for this awful experience. Will not be back!

Great location and service clean and comfortable rooms. Probably due for a renovation as the room and decor seem a but behind for a Crown Plaza. Would like to see fridges in the room at least.

The staff were all great — knowledgeable and helpful. A lot of renovation work needs to be done on the parking structure. Thankfully there are several very good eating establishments for breakfast and dinner within walking distance of the hotel.

This Hotel is moderately ok. It's not the best, it's not the worst, but it could use some fancying up. Half the parking garage is roped off and unavailable for some reason. Desk staff is rather standoffish and never greet anyone when you enter. There is no coffee in the lobby. The room is clean, the shower small yet comfortable. The TV is small. The pool is fantastic but the hot tub is a cozy 4person max if you are willing to bump knees. There are plugs and usb charging in multiple places in the room. They ran out of King beds and assigned my wife and I to tell doubles. Whomever thought that was a great idea has no clue what it means to finally get a weekend away from the kids. We managed to switch to a single queen room so it's not total disaster. Overall not bad, but I wouldn't come back unless I had to.

A fairly decent place for a training. The room was large but had decent acoustics. The room was very cold. The tap water was not very good, as it had a metallic taste. Building was nice. The parking garage needs a great deal of work.

Front desk was nice. The hotel rooms were extremely outdated. I felt like I was in "The Shining. " There is way too much brown in the rooms. The clientel was not the best. There was a shouting couple and a barking dog on our floor. The lobby is red while the rooms are green. If the hotel wanted more business and a better customer experience, a little remodel and "buttoning up" of the hotel would do the trick.

All rooms are different sized. WA st here for a wedding. And 3 other rooms with 2 double beds were both bigger than mine and there was no space for a roll away bed. Some had extra side tables.

The staff were friendly and very informative, especially our wait staff Molly (she truly made our trip with invaluable information about the area). However the hotel itself was not very clean and the rooms were small and uncomfortable. The parking garage and patio outside of the pool were both very alarming with large cracks in the cement. Not very attractive and didn't look very safe.

The Crowne Plaza hotel in Pittsfield is an okay place to stay when visiting this town. It's relatively easy to find and parking is convenient, right on site. The entrance lobby is very appealing. The breakfast (usually not free) is very good. It has an omelet to order service. As for the rooms, I think it's hit or miss. The room is taped in was clean and smelled fresh. The beds were a bit soft and worn (not supporting). The bathroom was clean. The toiletries were of good quality. At first I got a different room and it had a peculiar smell, as if there had been some kind of wetness event in the room. The 5th floor halfway had the same smell. I wonder if the hotel recently suffered from a flooding event on the 5th floor. The carpet looked a bit iffy. Pool and workout equipment seemed fine. The service at the front desk was top notch, especially as provided by the manager, Grace. The free cookies in the lobby were great. Thank you.

Friendly service. Older building, going through some renovations. Small pool, bar restaurant. Smaller fitness center. Not the nicest parking lot, but right on site.

Needed to be in the area for a work assignment. Comfortable and affordable accommodations.

Cozy hotel room with a view, flat screen TV, comfortable bed and very clean bathrooms. The only thing I dislike is the parking garage. It doesn't look safe and I don't trust leaving my car there.

The room is clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was nice. The food was fresh and full even though the crowd was minimal. Staff during a very late check in was extremely exuberant and made it very enjoyable. Parking is well kept and clean. The hotel is beautiful.

Had a great experience everything was clean and comfortable and the customer service was exceptional. We were celebrating a birthday and they assisted me with some surprises in the room while we were out it was perfect. Thank you!

It's probably one of the best places in Pittsfield.

The hotel needs a update. There are scratches all over the furniture and the decor is very dated. There should also be more variety at breakfast, and the ability to connect any device to the room Wi-Fi.

This is a centrally located hotel with nice clean rooms. They charge for parking at peak periods, have beverages and cookies for visitors, and have a free buffet breakfast. It's a 12 (? ) story tower so there are great views of the area from the upper floor. There is nice indoor pool surrounded by rooms.

I have stayed here several times and we have always had a very good experience. The front desk has always been courteous and helpful. The staff has been very professional. Each stay was an overnight and has always been a good experience!
