Looks dated from the outside, but updated and clean rooms. Large fridge and microwave. Plenty of power ports around the bed, including a few USB ports, in case you forgot your wall adapter. Staff was really friendly. Only downside was the breakfast. Starts later than other places at 7:45. The sign out front says "hot", so I was thinking maybe at least waffles. Just hot water for oatmeal packets and a toaster. Juices, cereal, coffee, tea, English muffins, bread. With jam, butter, peanut butter spreads. It didn't look fresh and the individual cream cheese containers didn't feel like they were refrigerated.

Great location. Great customer service. I came into the area earlier than expected and they got me a great room by 1130am at no extra cost. Very nice people and updated rooms with micro and fridge. No complaints.

The management here made sure we were comfortable and had nice clean accommodations. Breakfast room was clean. Would recommend.

Great hotel with an excellent staff. As an Appalachian Trail thru hiker, it was nice to be out of the elements for the night!

I stayed here about two weeks ago. It was definitely worth the stay. The rooms were freshly painted and very clean. I spoke with management in the morning and discovered it was under new ownership. He explained that they were redoing all the rooms and wanted to make sure it met with my approval. It did so I took the time to write a review because most of the reviews we're for the old ownership which doesn't reflect the new owners or the hotel itself. I would definitely stay again.

Under new management who was really trying to put a foot forward to make our stay as pleasant as it could be. They have recently upgraded and painted the rooms. Everything was clean and worked properly. The bed was very comfortable. I applaud the new management for what they accomplished. I’ve read earlier reviews and was hesitant on staying there. But that was the old management. And the new owners really did a nice jobs on the room.

Place was ok dirty the manager tryed to doulbe charge us the firdge was making loud noise. They profiled this woman for no reason I felt the place was in Pittsfield ma.

This place really is a dump. The staff aren't always the friendliest. The rooms are always dirty and unclean. Broken furniture, stained bedding and carpets, this place is just a mess. The only advantage is that they are inexpensive, but this is a prime example of you get what you pay for.

WORST hotel and I use that term loosely that ive EVER been in. Hairdryer broken lightbulbs missing towel stuffed in ac casing to stop wind from coming in and people standing in the parking lots at all hours of the night doing heaven knows what. Do yourselves a favor and STAY AWAY!

False advertising no breakfast or even coffee available. They don't even turn on the open sign it looked abandoned. Old tired rooms that are kept clean.

This hotel was horrible. The staff was rude and apparently they don’t actually have non smoking rooms because that’s what I booked and was told there weren’t any. The heater did not work properly and the room was freezing most of the night. There are many other hotels in the area AVOID this one.

Dive! Room had burn holes in both bed spreads; stains on the carpet & walls; and the bathroom door had holes covered with contact paper. Free breakfast is a joke. Place is obviously not being maintained. Had to go and buy a can of Febreze to make the room smell tolerable. Never again!

Front staff was accommodating. Was forced to have a smoking room because of pet. Bathroom was in need of repair. Entry door extra locks all broken. Rooms should not be going for what they are.

Stay somewhere else. It's now obvious why they have a no refund policy as you'll be sure to ask for one if you stay. Booked a nonsmoking, king bed room. Ended up in a smoking, queen bed room. The guy at the desk looked like we disturbed his nap, so he didn't care. The room was dirty. The Wi-Fi didn't work. The refrigerator ran in our room loudly off and on. When ours wasn't running, the rooms next door was and you could hear the hum through the walls. There were drug addicted looking individuals chain smoking on the balconies all night long. Waking up as a nonsmoker in a smoking, dirty room, you'd want a shower. Only there's no hot water in the bathroom sink or shower. So, we left to the front desk. Of course no one is there and the place is a ghost town. We waited awhile but it became clear our friend from the night before was back to napping again. We left: Good luck if you chose to stay here. Bring your sanitizers and your patience.

Not the best service, was given a smoking room and was told there were no non smoking rooms. I made a reservation for non smoking. Not the best experience if you have allergies.

Grossest room I have ever stayed in EVER. Paint peeling, dirty carpet, bathtub looked like it had mold, but I wouldn't get close enough to confirm it was mold (vs. Perhaps some kind of black repair glue). I don't need fancy and this isn't what I'm complaining about. Just plain gross.

I had a great stay here and enjoyed some conversations with the owner. Stayed 3 nights here with no issues. Room was clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This place is a dump. If I could give it negative stars, I would have. We walk into the lobby and there is an awful stench in there. The people who checked us in weren't real friendly, as they didn't want to honor the online price we found. The kicker, we go up to our room and open the door. It smells like s**t in there. I mean literally s**t. We look around the room and discover that the maids either took a s**t in the room and forgot to flush the toilet or just forgot to flush the toilet. The toilet was not flushed-s**t logs and all greeted us, both visually and smell wise. Needless to say, the is the first and last time we stay at this place.

I'm not even sure where to start. I got stuck here because of the weather and my hours running out. My side of the door to the adjoining room was broken off of the hinges, but they moved my table over about a foot to secure it. That was good. The air conditioner was held in by Styrofoam. It didn't work properly, either. There was a water heater and circuit breakers where my closet should have been. I'm pretty sure there was other things, but I can't remember them right now.

Stayed here 10/14 — 16 2016. The room we had was a renovated room and it was very clean, which for me is huge. Having a clean room is a priority and they were spot on here. Beds were perfect with 4 pillows on each. There was a microwave and fridge in the room. What needs improvement are little things and wouldn't affect us staying here again because again the room was very clean. The new bathroom counter is too wide, so the toilet seat does not stay up by itself, for men this is an inconvenience. The shower curtain is so high that the bottom is just at the top of the tub, so water may splash onto floor and there's no shelf in the shower either. Again minor annoyances. Regarding breakfast. Let's just say get there early because they don't replenish and the only offerings are make your own waffle, white or wheat toast, English muffin, Special K and fruit loops — that's all that is offered besides coffee and juice. Our first morning we got there at 8 and there was 1 English muffin, 4 pieces of bread to toast and the waffle option. Overall, it was good value for money paid. It's convenient, there's a Friendly's and McDonald's right across the street.

I have worked in the hospitality industry for over ten years and have never seen anything like what we experienced this weekend — we booked a non-smoking king room and received a smoking queen, when brought to the manager's attention we were told that we were wrong — that the bed was a king (it wasn't) and the room was non-smoking (it clearly wasn't). There was hair in the sheets, unrecognizable filth on the walls and a broken air conditioning unit in the room. On top of that, numerous items of ours went missing the day our room got turned over and when we asked the manager for help finding it he told us he had checked the room and they weren't there and that was all he could do. When we asked him to check again he got belligerent and told us he wouldn't be checking again because he had "work to do" and the matter was "not to be brought up again" — when we asked for his name we were told the only way we were getting it is if we called the police on him. This is the MANAGER. I can only imagine the quality of employee when this is the face of your establishment — do yourself a favor and pay the extra twenty bucks a night to stay elsewhere. It'll be well worth it.

The 3 gentelmen and 1 young lady I encountered were friendly. The room was what I was expecting for the price I paid, but it was clean, I slept well and everything worked. My Wi-Fi ran just fine. There were several geocachers here also, as we had an big event not to far away. It was quiet and the coffee wasn't bad. I would stay here again. Not sure what the last review was about, You get what you give is all I can say.

We got in late, and the man at the desk was very nice. Our room was very comfortable. It did need some upgrades, but everything was nice. He was there in the morning when we checked out also, he smiled and asked how we slept, which was very well. I would suggest you give this place a try. The Air Conditioner was very good! On a side note, you should avoid the nearby Friendly's because we went there after checking out and got very ill because of the poor hygiene of the servers.

Ac did not have a constant fan mode, for breakfast there was no pancake mix and the milk ran out so the dopey clerk left the room and hid so we couldn't ask him for more.

Econo lodge, previously quality inn, Pittsfield MA. I have never been dealt with so rudely by anyone in the service industry as I was at the Econo Lodge. The first morning I went for breakfast at 7AM there was nothing available other than a bruised apple, 2 bits of bread and cold coffee. I asked the guy at the desk about this and he said it was all fine and nothing to worry about before returning to watch a Bollywood movie on his laptop; clearly not true. The next morning when I walked into the breakfast area he said “oh here is that pain in the ass guy”! All I asked for was some breakfast as advertised. During both check in and out I overheard other guests complaining about a large range of issues also.

Seeing that I was just aggressively hung up on by the gentleman at the front desk while trying to reserve a room for tonight, I will not be calling back or staying at this hotel. Mr. Manager, I think you might want to have a talk with the gentleman who was working on 6/27/15 at 6pm about his phone etiquette with the people who are giving you money to stay the night.
