Very comfortable beds. Nice view from the balcony if you get a waterview room.

The folks here are great human beings. This hotel is a gem. Peaceful and serene. I am loving my stay and appreciate all the hospitality given to me already.

Great place to just decompress. Nice pools. Great bbq area and so close to shopping on the Cape!

Nice clean rooms with very comfortable beds. We’ve been booking jacuzzi rooms here every time we come out to the Cape. Jacuzzi rooms are hard to find out here. We’re so glad we found this place.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for my birthday and we absolutely loved our stay! The guy at the front desk was very friendly and inviting! The room was nice and clean, and the bed was comfortable. We also loved the indoor pool. Highly recommend 😍 we’ll be back again.

We are a family of 5. We just returned from our first experience with Tidewater and its very positive! our room was the Family Suite for 6. Our room located seconds from the outdoor pool. Music played in the pool area and it was surrounded by Adirondack chairs in a clean environment. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The grounds well kept,, guests respectful of others. We will for sure return. Thank You Tidewater!

Love this old motel, the pools are nice especially the outdoor one with music bumping! Our room was very basic and musty/borderline moldy but it’s to be expected by the age of the place and the fact covid had places like this closed up for months. We would definitely be back. We have been going to Hunter Green for many years, turns out it’s the same owners.

We stayed this weekend and although we like it here and have been a few times in the past, we did not have a good experience. There was a woman who kept harassing our room phone about “noise” when we were all in bed asleep! She called the room 6 times the first night, once yesterday morning, and again 4 times last night. I had to call the office about her harassment. The people
On the end on the other side of her were outside enjoying themselves (not being loud) and she was just being plain rude and complaining and blamed us. I hope she sees this! Thanks for being a total KAREN and waking us up all weekend. Other than her rudeness, everything else was fine.

Love staying here and Lisa is great stayed there last night and it was great will be back end of next month!

This is not a 5 star place to stay. That being said, this is a family run, clean, warm, comfortable, family and budget friendly accommodation. We stayed at the Tidewater Inn because of a contest in which we had won a two night stay by guessing the number of lights and ornaments on their Christmas tree. So, hubby and I spent a lovely weekend on the cape. When we arrived, we were greeted by Charles who was very kind and friendly, He explained where to find our room and gave us breakfast tickets for the morning. Our room was located in the back rear building on the second floor. The room was a King with a quaint water view. Across the parking lot there is an inlet with Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy on a warmer day. There was a swan paddling about. Someone from the staff was kind enough to go into the room beforehand and set the heat making the room warm when we entered. It was 17 degrees outside, so we appreciated the thoughtfulness very much. The room was dated but well kept, warm and comfortable. There was a small outdoor balcony, a bathroom with everything we needed, a refrigerator and basic cable television. There were other guests staying but we didn't hear any noise during our stay. In the morning, breakfast was included at their 50's diner from 6 am to 9 am. This staff member was also very kind.

It’s nice hotel beautiful indoor and outside pool. Years ago they had a jacuzzi but that’s gone. Breakfast isn’t included but seems nice. Downfall is no microwave in rooms. $100 incidental hold that you’re not told til you check in. Beautiful scenery and quiet. Our Room wreaked of mildew from AC it was so bad we couldn’t breathe well coughed all night. No screen on balcony slider, so we couldn’t open it cause bugs/mosquitoes would get in. We have asthma so anyone with any breathing issues go somewhere else. The good smells you pass by in hallways or in office maybe some cover ups for real smell. We stayed one night only! Have actual room keys not the card keys. So don’t lose them, cause I’m sure there would be a penalty to replace them. Not easy like the plastic card keys. We usually go to the Cove hotel. This hotel has its ups and downs. Have to go for yourself. Staff was pleasant. Beautiful landscaping!

First day here and we LOVE IT! Clean, spacious rooms. Smelled beautiful as soon as we walked in!

Quaint older Hotel. Well kept and clean. Located close to all stores. Swimming pools indoor and outdoor. Small breakfast restaurant on site very decent place I would stay again.

The room was clean but a bit outdated. Bed was comfortable. Had everything you would need and the staff was very nice. Indoor and outdoor pool were well kept.

The hotel is a bit older/dated but nothing too bad. My biggest complaint was the shower. I had to call down to have them come up and snake the drain the first day there. I ended up standing in several inches of water while taking a shower. I could tell they had attempted to fix it because it was somewhat better but still ran really slow. The other thing about the shower was the fact that there's a seam at the top of the stall that had black mold in it. You couldn't stand in the shower and NOT see it cause the seam ran all the way around. So that was gross and added to the impression of being a bit old and run down. The maid forgot one day to leave new shampoo but otherwise kept the rest of the room clean. The close the pool at 9pm which is ridiculous because you are swimming at your own risk. Why not just keep it open until 10pm? I can see closing after that to minimize noise but 9? The beds are firm but not too uncomfortable to sleep on. (At least for me. ) I don't think I would stay here again just because of that gross shower.

We ate at Helen's breaking diner at the Tidewater In. We had an AMAZING breakfast! I had the sizzlin' short rib hash with poached eggs which was absolutely beyond amazing! And their home fries were incredible! My husband had the short rib hash breakfast sandwich which he very much enjoyed! We would & will most definitely go back there and have told all our friends about their amazing food! The atmosphere was retro and comfortable and the service was awesome very nice people all around!

Decent for budget Accommodation. This is a great hotel if you have a family or you are staying as a couple. An unforgettable experience! Breakfast provided was good lots to eat. Kids loved the pool. Staff at check-in and checkout was courteous and efficient. If we are ever back in town, we will definitely stay here!

We recently purchased the Getaway Card and stayed for 2 nights. The card is $400 for 8 nights. When you check in, you have to pay approximately $10/night in cash (tax & service fee) so really, you are paying about $60 per night. Still a good deal, but just be aware of the extra fees. The hotel was exactly what we were expecting. The rooms are dark and could definitely use some updating, particularly in the bathroom area. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the family next to us clear as day. But the rooms are clean and the property is very well maintained. The highlight for us was the on-site diner. Unique menu items and everything was really good! We are looking forward to our next visit.

Our family enjoyed it here. Clean and easy to get to. It was nice having the option for indoor and outdoor swimming. The rooms are nice yet simple and the staff was helpful. For us, this was a good location and worth the trip.

Very reasonably priced, clean and saved our vacation! We stayed in one of the premium suites. Beautifully designed, I must say charming décor. We stayed two nights. Nice selection of teas and coffees. Room is clean bed & pillows comfortable. Good service all around.

Wish it was a better experience. First time in cape cod and the room was a hassle. The "main" building we were in was outdated. Bathrooms weren't anything special. Our first room we had to leave because the shower head sprayed water everywhere. The next room we were assigned to the toilet handle was already broken and the balcony light was broken and flickering all night along with the dividing privacy fence already busted and fell onto the rooms balcony next to us. I paid extra money to stay in something what I thought would be nicer then a best western and I rather support local business! Next time I travel to cape cod I will go to a chain hotel instead.

The man that checked is in was very pleasant The room was awesome. We had a room with a Jacuzzi it was our_40th anniversary. The only one thing I would like to see is a non slip Matt or strips in the shower. It was a little scary being an elderly woman, slipping around. On that note, I just wish they had bars to help get out of that wonderful Jacuzzi it didn't stop me, but… Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

This place was nice, bed was comfortable. However there was old blood stains on the sheets. They willingly changed them and couldnt apologize enough. Didnt sleep well, sounded like someone was dancing hip hop upstairs half the night.

Extremely friendly staff. Rooms felt a bit dated, but the bathroom was very nice. Bed was also very comfortable. Wi-Fi could be better.

Just spent a couple of days there. The air freshner smell is overwhelming in the office. They have an air freshner system that gets changed every month. It is even in the halls of the hotel. The pool is pleasant. The room is a good size, but the only drawer space is one near the floor. Our nights were quiet and didn't hear any neighbors. We had an issue with people smoking and it traveling into the room. The maid was good about coming into the room and ''bombing'' it to help with the cigarette smell. Overall a nice place to stay.

Clean comfortable rooms, facilities well kept, reasonably priced on and off season, indoor and outdoor pool, breakfast diner, ample parking, near ocean cove, large lawn area where summer you can picnic, picnic tables and grills, swing sets for kids during on season only, rooms have large screen TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, bath/shower, sink area, access to parking via slider door on first floor only in some of the buildings, free WI FI, handicap accessible entrances and room in some buildings if requested, complimentary coffee in main office building, combination heater and AC in each room, ice machines in hallway, soda and snack machines available, some gaming machines.

Great value. Quiet, clean room and nice staff. Lack of electrical outlets was the only drawback. Would stay again.

Great outer appearance of property and amenities but rooms seem smaller than the photos. Bathrooms in photos are of suites not normal rooms. Also no microwaves in room, makes it difficult with children and toddlers. You have to go out cross the parking lot in the pool area to use mithe one microwave they have!

The room was small but cozy. I loved the jacuzzi tub it was amazing. If your looking for a cute nautical themed inn this is place.

Great for families with young children. Playground, indoor outdoor pools, BBQ area and a diner on the premises makes it so much fun for the kids. Lots of space… large yard for kids to run and play games… overlooks the water. Will definitely come back next year and stay longer!

The cons…
I'm all about the pools… both pools very cloudy! So cloudy I wouldn't put 1 toe in. The indoor pool was unbearable to sit in with no ventilation! And let's talk about the outdoor pool patio that surrounds the pool… I watched everyone tip toe around because the rocky floor hurt so bad! Not only did it hurt, the rocks stuck to your feet and ended up in the pool! Also Lots of broken cheap outdoor furniture in both pool areas.
The pros…
The back field was beautiful with the river next to it. I enjoyed watching the swans, ducks & geese swimming by with their babies. Also nice place to have a barbecue and play some yard games. The breakfast at the dinner was good. The cleaning staff was friendly & helpful. Back to the pool, I did enjoy the outdoor music.

Very cute place. Fast check in. Great affordable family inn. Well kept but not modern… But its Cape Cod… Its old here! We would recommend and stay again.

When we walked into the room we where hit in the face with a musty old basment stench. I wanted to throw up my lunch! We went to get ice and each machine was empty, they did nothing to help with that. The Jacuzzi tub that was advertised was not in the room, it was a basic small bathroom without a heat lamp that hotels all have. The fridge didn't keep the food and drinks cold and hey the no ice issue should become there problem at that point, but nope! The outdoor pool area has a horrible walking area that isn't made for bare feet, then how do I walk into the pool?! This place needs to get there act together fast, because it has potential but hasn't reached it. The customer service could be nicer as well. That's my piece on this place.

Rooms have been updated (at least ours was), with new carpeting, paint, furniture, flat screen tvs. Bathroom is a little tight as this is an older structure, but short of totally stripping everything out of the bathrooms, there is nothing that can be done. It does help that the sink and counter are not in with the toilet /tub. Water pressure was very good and the water can get very hot. The AC works great. Love the mini fridge. As with all older places, you can hear showers running in other rooms, but we haven't heard one other person talking through the walls or another tv. Beds could be a little more comfortable, but with bad back problems, I still have slept pretty decent. For the price, on a holiday week, you can't beat it! The lady who I made reservations with over the phone with was very helpful and was pleasant at check in.

Loved how they have an indoor and outdoor pool. Mini golf and ice cream around the corner walking distance. Playground and a beautiful view in the back. And we got a great deal.

Primarily because of the owner. He made our stay here very difficult and stressful. We had a 2-night reservation through Expedia. I wanted to stay an additional night, so I called the hotel directly to ask if our room was available on Friday. The woman said yes, so I asked if I needed to pay in advance. She said no, she would reserve the room and we would pay at check in. We arrived Wednesday and there was no record of our Friday reservation in the system. After arguing with the owner that he needed to find us a room, he says vaguely, ok, we'll find you something. We waited until Thursday night at 8:45 pm to hear that we would have the same room, and not have to pack our things and move in the morning. The next day, we went out in the morning, returned to a clean room with all our things, left for the day, and returned at 8:30 pm. Imagine our surprise when we were locked out of the room. I was told my credit card was not on file, even though the owner processed it himself on Wednesday. I had to pay my bill to be allowed back in my room with my possessions. This shoddy customer service was inexcusable and completely unapologetic. He did not care about us as customers, he basically said he would cancel my reservation if I didn't stop protesting that he honor my reservation. I would never recommend anyone staying here based on his treatment.

Pleasant and attentive staff. A little outdated but everything worked and most importantly was clean. Pool area was inviting. Overall a great value and pleasant weekend stay.

The room was decent. Hallway smelled a bit but the room was great. A great rate. Exactly as expected.

Nice hotel, rooms are large and clean. Very basic rooms — but close to everything downtown. Hottub was closed, bummer. The diner was a nice touch — the waitress seemed a little distracted though, brought the wrong order to us.

I would like to say this is a nice clean motel. Customer services is excellent nothing but pleasant and smiling employee. Room are clean fonctionnal. We had no issues with noises and well getting on the 28 could be chanllenging well I was on vacation and yes I could take up to maybe a minute I could turn but that life when you rent off the 28 every hotel / motel have the same problems. Property was clean BBQ and park for my little one. Both pool's were perfect. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is going down to the cape for a vacation. I hate to say this because I really really try to avoid being rude at all costs but I didn't like anything about this, intro — — we were staying for the night because of the crowded family house we have down the road was full, we thought one night wouldn't be bad just to get away from everyone the kids and cousins and such, (saw pictures and everything) BUT the second we got into the building which was in the back lot behind the coffee shop… It STUNK of piss, shit and throw up, I don't know how it was possible. To make it worse our room was all the way at the end of the hall way so we had to gag the whole way down… Luckily, no one passed out. Once we get in the room the smell settles a little but all the white things in the room (curtains, bed sheets, pillow cases, ect. ) have weird stains on it. The TV remote does not work, plus the TV is small and the picture is fuzzy. The sink wasn't in the bathroom, I couldn't stand the sound of the shower, the outside door was so hard to open, no scenery what so ever — — only parking lot. The walls are all patched up and you can hear everything from every wall, even upstairs. WORST OF ALL THOUGH was the friggin blue toilet and shower that took up the whole bathroom. Discussing. This was basically bates motel. Never again do not recomend. The only thing that worked (barely) was the air, the Wi-Fi, and the fact it was cheap in a good location. I really don't know how this stays in business.
