Quiet area. Nice staff. The beds were comfortable. We didn't try any of the amenities. Needs some updating. Rooms are older and the bathrooms need some sprucing up. Overall a good stay.

It's a convince location for people to find a place for lodging from interstate 95. The hotel looks nice outside, but everything in the room looks old, including the AC and the nightlight. The selection of breakfast is very limited. We all know Ramada Hotel, but never expect the poor quality of it.

Very honest employees (I misplaced some valuables and they made significant efforts to return them to me), however housekeeping was subpar. Ask for a different room if you encounter issues, as they may not necessarily offer one to you. The for stars is for the honesty, it would be just 2 under normal circumstances.

Nice staff location isn't great but good for weekend visits.

Toilet didn't work properly during our 3 nights there. Mold growing in the ceiling fan, the pool was out of service which was the reason why we choose the Ramada. Our trash cans were not emptied the first day. The internet in our room was slower than dial up, we had to hot spot off of our phones just to check email. It's the worst Ramada I've ever stayed at.

Horrible customer service. Rooms are dirty and dated. We were told breakfeast os included from 630 1000 and it was not open. Currently waiting in the lobby to check out it’s been over 40 min and have not seen a hotel staff. Do not waste your money.

We attempted to stay at this ramada location where the rest of a group of friends were staying. After they checked in they had told us how sketch it was but we had already made a reservation so we thought, how bad can it really be. Needless to say after waiting a while for someone to help as as no one was at the front desk, we finally got to our room where we walked in and found another guest in the shower. We went back to the front desk and demanded a refund (which I hope we recieve as we were told we would after the front desk person showed annoyance that we wanted a refund in writing) and where not even an apology was offered just a blame on housekeeping. And while down there in the lobby another set of guests were upset that hadn't been able to use their bathroom because of a toilet malfunction that we later found out was fixed with a rubber band. Another person was in the lobby over hearing the incidence told us that she knew another person that got someone else's room earlier that evening as well. Fortunately, they didn't startle anyone in the shower as we had. Completely disgusting establishment and the craziest, unprofessional customer service I could've never dreamed of. Needless to say, we drove to a sheraton 5 minutes down the road and due to the experience we had at that ramada, they upgraded us to the club level with an ocean view. Spend the extra $40 and go down the road, the customer service is like no other and the hotel is beautiful.

Room was good size, the room was dirty and there was a odor of India food in the hallways.

Friendly staff. Good value in a great location. But this hotel is very old and run down. The entire building smelled like an ash tray to me. If you can afford anyplace else, don't stay here.

Perfect place for an overnight! Or even longer. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Easy on easy off. If we need a place to stay in Kittery, will keep it in mind.

Conveniently located, clean comfortable room, friendly staff, good for short stay. I don't recommend for business travel or long stay as the Wi-Fi is horrible and the breakfast offerings very limited and very good. The air conditioner in my room was not working properly. Not horrible but much room for improvement.

Its an inexpensive hotel. Easy to get to and close to Portsmouth. Its not the best hotel out there and shows some signs of age but its worth staying to save over $100 vs hotels in Portsmouth. Clean, just a little aging. Locatipn, price, and cleanliness is why I give it 4 stars.

I honestly did not think this place was bad when I came in. Gentlemen on the phone said that it would be $114 before tax. Okay, not terrible for a Saturday night in Kittery. I check my account 2 hours into our stay and they charged me $227… Wow, ok. I go the front desk, politely confront the issue and the head manager apologized and said $199 a night. I am very frustrated with the miscommunication. The man on the phone did have an accent, but I did hear, "$114, and $119 after tax. I have been a housekeeper and cleaner for a few years now and I am not impressed with the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom in particular. Hopefully others have a better experience than me… I have worked with foreigners for a while now and have never had a miscommunication like this. Let alone be screwed like this. I have paid less in big cities for ACTUALLY renovated and decent motels/hotels… I am not impressed with the service at all. I will definitely find a different place to spend my weekend off next time I want to enjoy a stay.

We booked a non smoking room with one king bed. We were excited about getting to sleep in a king bed because we usually sleep in a queen at home, and there would be space to move. When we arrived, the front desk attendant didn't tell us we would be in a smoking room. We opened the hall door to the smoking half and gagged… It was the most awful smell emitting from the floor and walls of our room. The beds, two fulls instead of one king, reeked of old cigarettes. My husband has awful asthma and decided almost immediately that we needed to go and request a new room, one that matched our booking. We were moved to the non smoking side of the building and not told we were going to be charged almost $60 MORE for what I had originally booked for $129. In the non smoking room, the air conditioner was broken, the bathroom reeked of mold, and the door to the hallway wouldn't shut properly. My husband was very frustrated and told me to pack up our things again. As I was packing back up, I found cigarette burns in both duvet covers, on the non smoking side. These covers also reeked of stale smoke. After telling the front desk about all of this, the manager still fought my husband on a refund, after 30 minutes in this hotel. be warned. They have a 20 minute refund policy. If you are unhappy with your room or service, say so immediately. We drove the 4 hours home instead of staying at the Ramada Kittery.

The hotel is very dated, one site had it at a 2 star. Another at a 3. It is a 2 star, no debate. Bad plaster job over water leaks with mold showing through. Different smells in every hall and if u am not mistaken a pesticide smell in our room. Service was great. My advise is take some of thr 250usd a night and invest into the dated run down facility.

Very friendly staff, the rooms were comfortable and clean. I could smell cigarettes in the hallway on the non smoking floor, which bothered me a little. Free breakfast was good, would have liked eggs to go along with other hot foods.

We were on the way up from South Carolina. We called ahead to make sure rooms were available. We were told no rooms were open. Looked up the hotel on Expedia and there were 3 rooms available. Being that it was freaking 1 am, I decided to pull in anyway. Went to the front desk which I had to wait about 10 minutes before I found someone to help me. Once I was helped I was indeed able to get a room for the night. Once in the room, found the room to be out dated and in need of remodeling. The bathroom light worked when it wanted to. My mom had to take a shower in the dark. Once we were able to get the light to come on we left it on all night. The one window in our room was cracked. Fast forward to the next morning. Went to check out at 10:55 am and was asked "how everything was" I told the guy at the front desk about the light and he asked me if I called the front desk. I told him I got in at 1am and that we were all tired. He told me that to still call it in. I told him that I thought the ballast was going bad and that it needed to be replaced. He totally ignored what I said. I checked out and got my receipt. I promise you that I will not be back ever to your hotel. I recommend anyone going to Kittery Maine to avoid this hotel like the Plague.

There was a dirty wash rag on the shower curtain from a previous guest. The top of the shower walls was covered in thick dust. The climate control unit did not work. There were burn holes on the bedspread. Although this was a smoking room, there was a musty/mildewy odor more like the room had been flooded, and the toilet ran all night.

We didnt even stay. We drove to stay so our kids could go swimming. Upon arrival we found out that the indoor pool was closed from October to May. This was NOT advertised when booking. The front desk reception was extremely rude when we told him that that it was not advertised. He insisted it was advertised but was unable to find it advertised on the website. We left and canceled the charge on our credit card. Also the lobby was a mess and looked dark and dingy. So happy we didnt stay. Sorry there isnt a zero rating.

Dirty. The entry way had filthy trash can full, butt can full and sugar pack wrappers on the ground. Did not mind the outdated room but that is absolutely no excuse for cleanliness. Room was dirty including walls, wall hangings, doors, heating unit, chairs, carpets and bathroom. Arrived late and it was for one night so we stayed. Will not stay there again. Very disappointed chose this because it was a Windham. Hmmmm guess they need to do an inspection on that one. It appears the company does not take these reviews seriously. I wish I had the time to read the reviews prior to going there I would not have gone. Will send a letter to company.

The facility was clean, but the common areas were wicked cold. I had to wear a coat when I went to the breakfast room. Even the staff at the front desk was wearing a winter coat. facility has old bedding, even a burn hole in the blankets. I'm no planning on coming back. Lots of other hotels to use in the area. I'll be staying in Portsmouth! I expected more from a Ramada Inn.

Wow I wish I could give ZERO STARS! This place is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! I took pictures and wrote to the company asking for some sort of refund and they said no because I didn't ask to switch rooms… WELL… I got in after 8pm and had 3 kids under the age of 8 with me… After getting settled in and seeing how absolutely foul this place was I was too tired (as were the kids) to change rooms… The kids even insisted on sleeping on their swimming towels which they wouldn't need anyhow because the front desk lady let us know the pool was closed for the season… Which was never stated anywhere that we could easily find online… The paint was chipping and peeling EVERYWHERE, there were stains on the walls, ceilings, AND BLANKETS… Staying at a hotel SHOULD NOT be uncomfortable and inconvenient. Oh man… Wish I read all these awful reviews before staying here… The pictures do NOT look like the hotel… It was also empty there… I guess everyone else was well informed about this nasty building!

ATTENTION! IF YOU ARE HERE TO GET REVIEWS ON RAMADA HOTEL IN KITTERY MAINE, THEN PLEASE READ! If I could leave no stars I would! My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights for a little getaway vacation and to explore kittery, york, and other surrounding areas. This place is disgusting! It smells musty, the rooms look nothing like the pictures. The rug feels greasy, and it feels like the floors are going to cave in. So because this hotel looked very dirty and scummy, I double checked the beds for bedbugs and found like dark red/black bloodstains in the crease on the side. And, this is what sent me over the edge, we went to the complementary breakfast and I got some of the little cinnibun rolls, took them to my room to heat them up cause the breakfast area was a cluster f**k, I went to bite into one and saw a blue dye, then I noticed as I started to pull on whatever it was, it was a rubber band wrapped into a tiny cinnibun, that dangeld from it because it was connect with hair! I immediately brought it down to the manager and they stared at me like a deer in headlights, studderd and said we get those from our vendor. So I said really I'd like to see the box they come in! And he said they already threw it away without even going to try and find this "box". I Will never stay here again! And I suggest you don't either if you wanna stay somewhere somewhat nice!

This building needs to be condemned. It smells… it smells… it smells… it must of had significant water damage in the past because it is very very musty. Oh, and the Wi-Fi is useless… I kid you not this facility is terrible.

Good thing is most of the place are nearby, good hospitality.

Moldy!. Seems to be the norm out here so far all 4 places have had mold problems. So far 4 outa 4 places from here to Portland Maine have ALL been MOLDY! UNACCEPTABLE. This side of the country sucks for so many reasons.

I will never stay at this place again. My experience was beyond unpleasant. First of all the room was not at all as it was described to me. The room was clean but very old. The bedding was old, mattresses badly stained — I checked them. The pillows were old. I found mysterious bites on my arms during my stay. I also had a strange rash? or bites? along the nape of my neck during my stay. The place is next to a truck stop so I had a hard time sleeping. The pool was disgusting. There was trash in it. The same trash was in it two days in a row so you know they're not cleaning it. Our second time at the pool, the pool had such a heavy chemical /bleachy fume thing going on that my kids couldn't even tolerate being in it. Some kids, one of mine included, were coughing and having trouble breathing. My other kids were complaining that their eyes and nose hurt from the chemicals. The moms watching their kids were all complaining and two of us had to step out in the hall while we were intructing our kids to get out. After two tries we didn't go back. The breakfast offered was not adequate. The waffle batter was not very good. None of us liked it. Creamers were not on ice and some were curdled. The breakfast pastries were not tasty. There were a bunch of dry cereals, English muffins, bananas, apples and some unappealing looking oranges. This place appears to be run by a family. Some of them were very rude. I could not believe how I was treated by one woman at the front desk.

Our van broke down and we ended up at this hotel for a night. Though it is not the nicest hotel around, the service was great. They were very friendly and understanding. They even let us check out late while our van was being worked on.

Rooms were dated/dirty. Pool was not open. Booked because it had a pool and would not make any concessions. Would not stay there again. Plenty of other nice hotels just a couple miles away. Would highly recommend anchorage inn. Located next to industrial complex.

NO BED BUGS! need I say more? I've been staying at this hotel every year for at least 10 years. The staff is very helpful and accommodating and the rooms are great. I went this year with bed bug concerns. I entered the room and searched every crack and crevice, under bed, behind frames, in drawers. Not only did I not find bed bugs, but I didn't find ANYTHING. Can't beat that. I don't understand all the complaints here, but if your expecting a 5 star resort on a 2 star budget, you're asking for a disappointment.
