I will never stay at this place again. My experience was beyond unpleasant. First of all the room was not at all as it was described to me. The room was clean but very old. The bedding was old, mattresses badly stained — I checked them. The pillows were old. I found mysterious bites on my arms during my stay. I also had a strange rash? or bites? along the nape of my neck during my stay. The place is next to a truck stop so I had a hard time sleeping. The pool was disgusting. There was trash in it. The same trash was in it two days in a row so you know they're not cleaning it. Our second time at the pool, the pool had such a heavy chemical /bleachy fume thing going on that my kids couldn't even tolerate being in it. Some kids, one of mine included, were coughing and having trouble breathing. My other kids were complaining that their eyes and nose hurt from the chemicals. The moms watching their kids were all complaining and two of us had to step out in the hall while we were intructing our kids to get out. After two tries we didn't go back. The breakfast offered was not adequate. The waffle batter was not very good. None of us liked it. Creamers were not on ice and some were curdled. The breakfast pastries were not tasty. There were a bunch of dry cereals, English muffins, bananas, apples and some unappealing looking oranges. This place appears to be run by a family. Some of them were very rude. I could not believe how I was treated by one woman at the front desk. She actually called me in my room to yell at me because the housekeeper that ran the breakfast area complained that my children took too many coffee stirrers. I was apologizing for their offense and assuring her that I had reprimanded them and she still continued to berate me. She then told me that the housekeeper said my children took food only to throw it away wastefully. I let her know that that was not the case. They only threw something away if they didn't like it. After we hung up I talked to my kids about what was said and they assured me they didn't throw food away needlessly. I had been watching my children carefully and I didn't think they had. But, I wanted to know if they had done something while my head was turned. So I called the front desk back to let her know that I was apologetic that the housekeeper thought my children had been disrespectful and wasteful, but that it was a misunderstanding. She continued yelling at me and telling me how I should be parenting my children. So basically she is yelling at me while I am apologizing. This is no way to treat a guest. This is especially no way to treat a guest that is staying in your "family suite" ( (I use the term loosely), which is probably your most expensive room, for fourteen nights! Needless to say, we never returned for breakfast (didn't miss much). This incident happened only a few days into our two week stay. This place is a dump run by people who have no respect for good customers. Very disappointed. I'm normally not a person who writes reviews but I this was just too unacceptable to let go.
