Housekeeping does not clean, no vending machines for snacks or drinks, no laundry bags, unhelpful front desk, awful drinks at the so called bar, and overall weird vibe.

Love the area,, big rooms and away from the crowds.

Currently here, it’s in a great location not far from bourbon street the staff are very helpful and willing! Also there is a beatify atmosphere when u first walk in! Only issue is the parking!

Greater than or equal to 15 foot ceilings, my favorite feature. Big, beautiful bathtub, meant for soaking, Yes! Eric Buras was an amazing host! Very disappointed that I was charged an extra $200 for parking without knowing that was going to be a charge. Sure, I signed a piece of paper when I dropped off my car to valet but not once was it pointed out verbally that was going to be the case. They barely gave me the paper to even look at. “Sign here and here and you’re good to go”… nothing about you’re signing for charges. Total joke. I spent so much money in their bars and restaurant and even heavily tipped the valet guys. Just another scammy way to make money. If you are staying at their place, you shouldn’t have to pay for parking in my opinion. Rant over and won’t ever be back.

Prior to this experience, we have always enjoyed our stays at International Hotel. This stay however will forever taint our love for this place. We checked in to our room early around 3:30pm. Rooms were set on 74 which we understand being from the south. However, when we returned from dinner around 8:00pm, rooms were still at 74 despite turning down to 68 and closing the blinds to keep the outside light from warming the rooms. After calling the front desk from our return from dinner, we learn this is a common issue as well as a minor common issue with the TV not working. After 2-3 visits from the staff maintenance who came with a shop vac to try to remove blockage from the duct work and leaving the most pungent and rotten smell. Our two rooms are still very warm and very smelly. Drew from the front desk finally tired to provide a to remedy the issue. After waiting in the lobby and having him explain it’s just so common but yet no one ever has issues… and him being upset and angry at us for having an issue with smelly and warm rooms, I get to view a new room that will remedy our current room situation… that’s 75 degrees. Remedy, right? Leave 74 for 75 degrees… oh wait… at 10:46pm with our 3 children in bed after a long day of travel we now can be upgraded to a suite. No thanks… As much as we love the ambiance and decor of this hotel, hotel bar, Art, etc we will never EVER be back. We are extremely sad this experience has ruined our love for this hotel.

Staff is very friendly… clean nice rooms quiet location. Highly recommended and will stay again my next trip to New Orleans. Close enough to everything including the street car and bourbon st. I give this place 10 out of 10 stars.

Such a lovely place to stay, great rooms, awesome bar. The service was excellent and staff were so friendly. I would absolutely recommend this hotel it is oozing character and style!

Location, location, location! 2 blocks from Bourbon St. & walking distance to almost anywhere! Room was not spacious but adequate. Staff was friendly & accommodating, although concierge didn’t make a couple of tour reservations & we waited for the bus that never came.

I have always said that a hotel is only as good as the people who work in it; And this hotel and the employees have been 100% amazing. They went above and beyond to make our stay and my birthday a true experience. Loved the rockstar room we stayed in; the lobby is just beautifull. Absolutly loved the surprise birthday cake and balloon delivered to our room. Super special! Thanks for everything!

Very bohemian chic feel at night. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel is perfectly situated. Better than the Hyatt, and very comfortable. An ice machine would have been great, but overall a great choice.

Really nice, clean hotel, that's super close to canal St. So we have easy access to the French quarter. Service is really good, they have a good bar with happy hours. Everyone is super polite and full of information on the local area.

Such a fabulous weekend at The International House! Some STARS of our stay were the young lady at the front desk Saturday upon arrival — over the top friendly! Then came Dennis! Pulling out all the stops to make us comfortable — awesome young man! Next up is Eric — front desk on Sunday — don’t know what you’re putting in their water cooler… but it’s WORKING! We were guests of John O in NOLA for our “outlaw” weekend! We will be back because y’all are simply AMAZING! ’

Incredibly friendly staff, incredible lobby/lounge/bar, and clean rooms with excellent air conditioning and beds that you won't want to get out of. I loved the Sony television and mini fridge in our room too! Amazing hotel! Special shout-out to our concierge Mr. Christmas for his help with directions and excellent restaurant recommendations!

I loved this hotel so much I almost didn't want to leave it to go out and enjoy the city! Beautiful inside and out, staff was fantastic. King bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, tub was big… and the Aveno soap was nice. Convenient location just a couple of blocks off of the French Quarter and street car lines. Parking garage right beside it if you don't want to pay to valet. Definitely will stay here again. Nicest hotel I have ever been in for the modest price.

Rooms are a bit on the small side and the furniture in the lobby and bar area could be updated. Strange smell upon entering the building that did not go away over the course of our stay. I enjoyed the cleanliness of our room and bathroom. Loved the shower-stayed hot the entire time and fully stocked with amenities. Room had a ceiling fan which is a plus. And the bed was comfy. One of the outlets did not work.

Beautiful hotel and AMAZING staff! I stayed here while in NOLA for a wedding. Very convenient location and the hotel bar is so much fun. Highly recommend! I can’t wait to come back!

So I should start off by saying. We were planning on staying here until our car broke down and we ended up not being able to make the trip. That being said, the staff was so accommodating to our circumstance, Janna specifically was out of this world as it relates to customer service. If the hotel is half as nice as the staff, they are miles ahead of the other options we had in Nola. We are planning on making a trip back out soon, and there’s only one place we want to stay! Thanks again for everything, you guys made a rough couple days bearable and again a huge shoutout to Janna and her customer service. Cheers.

Room was small but comfortable. It would be better if they have tea or coffee in their room’s. Location and staff was great.

Would recommend this to everyone going to NOLA. We were able to walk to the French quarter and have dinner and see the night life. The hotel bar is amazing and the craft cocktails are on point! If they had food, we probably would have stayed there all night! We loved the whole ambiance of the lobby and the rooms. You walk in and it smells amazing and candles lit everywhere. Clean, friendly staff, good atmosphere… you can’t beat it. I will be going there for business a lot and will not stay anywhere else.

First time to New Orleans and very very nice environment building has a lot of history and I loved the stay will return soon. Clean room. Good room service nice staff.

Beautiful building with a lot of history! Very nice staff and they know where the best places to visit and eat are in the city. The location is perfectly centered for walking to destinations.

My room only had a double bed and two tiny bedside table. It could do with a small desk and chair as it was a business trip. Room is a little too simple for a 4 star and the price. However, all the staffs from the entrance to the desk are very friendly, professional and helpful.

We came for my 21st birthday and stayed in one of the penthouses. The hotel was edgy and beautiful! However, the price we were paying for the room did not match up to what we thought we were getting. There were damages to the walls as well as a toilet roll holder that was halfway wobbling out of the wall! We had a horrible ticking noise coming from inside the wall which made it difficult to enjoy the room. We were not impressed. But, I must say that it was definitely amazing and the bed was SUPER comfy! We didn't want to leave! Again, the hotel was lovely! May I suggest a rooftop pool installation?

Nothing really in the form of amenities. There is a small gym. Rooms are very small. Had a neat vibe in the lobby and lounge. No food in the hotel or bar. It was a reasonable price and nice to be a bit out of the quarter.

First time to stay in this awesome hotel and loved it! Our room was clean, very comfortable beds, extremely friendly and accommodating staff, service was outstanding, decor was just fabulous! Also you can't go wrong with the location, just a short walk to Bourbon St, Canal St, St. Louis Cathedral, French Quarters, Cafe de Monde, French Market and Harrah's Hotel and Casino! Lots of close eating places that are open 24/7, what a bonus! I would highly recommend Internation House Hotel to my friends and family. Extraordinary! My sister and I stayed for a long weekend in mid-January and enjoyed every minute of our stay! The hotel is centrally located to all major attractions in the city. The ambience and decor are exquisite. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. And our friends behind the Loa bar from Seattle (young gentleman) and Detroit (young lady) were nothing short of delightful! And there drinks were phenomenal! Thank you for a wonderful stay and fun weekend, we will be back!

The hotel has no restaurant, in the rooms there is no coffee maker, and when you enter it smells bad and you are charged for the water.

This place is amazing. The lobby atmosphere is so cozy and intimate, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Even their lowest tier rooms are spacious and nice. Would stay again!

The International House Hotel is a wonderful boutique property located in the Central Business District. The staff is friendly and offers excellent recommendations for food and entertainment. The bar has a great ambiance in the evening and offers excellent cocktails as well as a curated selection of whiskey. Rooms are clean and bright with comfortable beds. All in all, an excellent property.

House keeper lied and said we drunk a bottle of water which was $3.00. They believed her and charged my card. I would never spend $3.00 on a bottle of water. I would never stay here again. Hotel did Not have breakfast and you had to find some where to park. The room was nice and clean. The location was close to everything. Just could not get pass the dishonest housekeeper.

4 night stay. Mediocre hotel for the price. The bellmen were very friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile and actually made the entire experience. The lobby and bar area was beautiful with great vibes. Not very impressed with the rooms in comparison to the online pictures. Fairly clean, the area underneath the bed was very dirty. One big downsider, was the hotel did not have any microwaves in the room nor in the lobby area. The hotel was not very accommodating in that sense, at times they refused to warm our food so we had to eat it cold. Overall, the stay was okay.

Wonderful hotel — staff was very friendly and helpful with food recommendations. Room was clean and nice size! Very happy with this stay and it's within walking distance of the French Quarter! Would stay here again! No breakfast or food offered here. Only coffee/tea and some fruit in the morning.

I love this hotel. Excellent location next to all the action but yet it still remains a quiet hotel. I had the Apple king room and I love it the bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. Nice and clean hotel. And the sheets omg were great. The Only complaints I had and I feel bad for mentioning it was the "Breakfast" was more like snacks and the coffee is only in the AM not all day. In my opinion what made my 4 day stay feel like paradise was the staff. The staff was more than helpful and so nice. What a awesome group of people!

The International House was a great place to stay, but it lacked a refrigerator and microwave in the room and didn't have vending options or access to ice. Other than that, it was great!

Awesome hotel and amazing experience. Very clean rooms and comfy beds. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel is downtown and a short walk to Bourbon Street and other local attractions. It was our first time to New Orleans so we will definitely stay here again on our next visit. For parking I would advise to use the hotel valet parking. It's $35 for valet parking but worth it instead of trying to find parking in the city. All you have to do is park in front of hotel, the staff helps with your bags, check in at front desk, and staff member helps takes your bags to room. Only drawback on location of the hotel, if you're not use to downtown traffic, is that the intersection around the hotel and getting to hotel is a bit tricky. Just make sure to use the gps and you should be fine.

Really enjoying my stay. Within walking distance to the French quarter. Rooms are small but very nice and updated. I would definitely stay here again visiting downtown New Orleans.

Beautiful and close to all of New Orleans hotspots this hotel will not disappoint you. A few blocks from Canal like 2 minutes and her romantic ambiance in the lobby at night. We will stay here again. They held a small fee for incidentals I believe 60 bucks I prepaid for my room. Smooth check in the concierge will bring your bags in if you choose offsite parking the is a Lot 340 on the corner of St Charles right around the corner from the hotel that charges 25 a day to self park I have used this lot on several visit to NOLA. The tub had some rust stains in it so that cut my bath bomb experience short I had bleach to clean the tub but the rust was a no go. Aside from that good hotel Great location.

The hotel is very nice. It has a funky, offbeat decor but that's a good thing. The staff has been friendly and the public areas are kept very clean. The room is a little small, but that's what I'd expect for a place in the middle of a big city. If I come back to New Orleans I will stay here again.

First night, we had an ant infestation. Staff was friendly and moved is to a different room. Should have been taken care of prior to our arrival. Our friends showed up the next morning to find out they were late on their reservation and the hotter cancelled their room. They bunked on our floor. We only had enough room since they moved is to a handicap accessible room due to the ants. Rate was good but more than likely will not return to stay.

Great location, walking distance to the French Quarter. Lots of restaurants and shops around. We had a great experience! We received very friendly and professional costumer service from Eric and Andrew at the front desk, they also provided us with great recommendations. Room and bathroom were very spacious and clean! Great pillows! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The International House Hotel is conveniently located between the French Quarters and the business district. The staff has been extremely friendly and even provided me a complimentary upgrade.

Stayed here in 2012… coolest lobby and lobby bar I have EVER visited. The hotel was quiet, clean, comfortable and trendy. Off canal, walking distance to bourbon. Close enough to the action but far enough for some peace and quiet. HIGHLY recommended.

I come to NOLA a lot and this is always my go to place because of convenience, price and location. Great location if you plan to hit bourbon, French quarter/Jackson square etc. Each floor and room is different in size and decorations but I've always enjoyed all of the single and double rooms I've been in. The penthouse is beautiful and includes a piano. It was perfect for a friend's bridal party to get ready and for her and her groom to do their first look photos. We also took some of the wedding photos in the beautiful hotel bar. Definitely ask about their shot game! Hotel shuttle from airport is $24 to IH and you can schedule a ride back to the airport too (same price) but you need to do so 24 hours in advance. Shuttle is located in baggage claim near first carousel.

This hotel is simply perfect. I loved everything about this hotel. The staff was warm and friendly. I brought a group of 18 here, I couldn't have been happier with my choice. If you are looking for a big non personal hotel, this is not the place for you, but if you want an intimate personal feel, and to be treated like a guest, you won't be disappointed. I loved this hotel and I will definitely stay here again.

Amazing Hotel for a Mardi Gras Visit. Love it.

OMG, so sexy the lounge area, and I love the art that decorates the lobby. The location is amazingly well, surrounded by everyone and everything.

Zero Stars. Arrived at 9pm. Checked in. Discovered the room smelled foul. Horrible problem in the bathroom not properly cleaned up. Night manager inspected and said the smell was "overwhelming" but told us there was nothing they could do. Not for two nights (we had a six night stay scheduled). We were told that MAYBE they could give us a new room for the 3rd — 6th nights. With no options we stayed one night, made reservations at a different hotel for the rest of the trip, and checked out at 9am the next morning. The morning manager promised us a refund on the rest of our reservation. No only did the hotel not offer any compensation for the horrible first night, they lied about the refund. The International House charges us for TWO NIGHTS and is refusing to make any adjustments. This is nothing short of THEFT. These people are LIARS and CHEATS at best. Stay away.

The hotel lobby was very sexy and smelled divine. The hotel was also in a great location as the casino and Bourbon Street were a few blocks away within walking distance. However, the hotel should be more forthcoming about what to expect when you book the "Rockstar" room. THE ROOM HAS NO WINDOWS! It felt like we were locked away in a prison cell so my husband and I requested a different room with a window. The hotel did accommodate our request but not without an additional fee of $30/night. The room and bathroom was clean. The other downside to the hotel is their valet parking is an additional $35/day located 5 blocks away. Hint: If you play for 30 minutes in Harrah's per day, you can park your car there for free. Harrah's is only about a short 3 blocks away. If you like to eat breakfast like me, your best bet is to go to a restaurant because the hotel only offers bananas, apples and granola bars (the hard ones). Oh yeah, the bar doesn't open until 4 pm. Who does that in New Orleans? They also would not accommodate a late check out. I probably wouldn't pick this hotel again because you can get something nicer and more accommodating for the price. I stayed at there Oct. 3-5, 2014.

Hotel staff was super friendly. Great Location — 2 blocks from the St. Charles streetcar, 2 blocks from August and 2 blocks from the Quarter.

I really enjoy my stay in this hotel. It's classy with elegant, simple modern touches. I find it very clean and the staff are all more than helpful. We were even in the room at one point when the housekeeper was doing her rounds and she made sure we were more than satisfied. There was a mix up with a room service order on our credit card and they took care of it immediately. The Hotel Bar is also a huge plus and a jewel. It's a real mixology-style lounge with amazing lighting. There are fresh herbs and fruits lining the bar that draw your senses in. The bar manager was more than accommodating, especially when one of the other bar tenders was rude. I will definitely stay here again.
